【Objective】 To evaluate the quality of suspended red blood cells (SRBC) under low-pressure and hypoxic conditions, in order to lay a theoretical foundation for airline delivery, air drop and storage of SRBC on plateau. 【Methods】 The low-pressure and hypoxic conditions (0.026 MPa and 0.047 MPa) were simulated by a pressure control device. SRBC were divided into 3 groups (5 bags/group, 1.5 U/bag). Each group was stored in 0.026 MPa environment at 2℃-6℃ for 24 hours (named 0.026 MPa), in 0.047MPa environment at 2℃-6℃ for 7 days (named 0.047 MPa), and in a blood storage refrigerator at 4℃ (named the control), respectively. The storage cell characteristics were examined on day 2, 9, 14, 28 and 35. 【Results】 We found that HCT, MCV, K⁺, Na⁺, FHb, hemolytic ratio, 2, 3-DPG and rheological properties in group 0.026 MPa and 0.047 MPa were not significant different compared with that in control (P>0.05). The consumptions of Glu in group 0.026 MPa and 0.047 MPa were significantly higher (P<0.05), and a transient increase in LAC concentration of group 0.026 MPa and 0.047MPa were observed, compared to the control. 【Conclusion】 The conditions of low-pressure and hypoxia have no significant effect on the quality of suspended red blood cells.

Most of the existing near-infrared noninvasive blood glucose detection models focus on the relationship between near-infrared absorbance and blood glucose concentration, but do not consider the impact of human physiological state on blood glucose concentration. In order to improve the performance of prediction model, particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm was used to train the structure paramters of back propagation (BP) neural network. Moreover, systolic blood pressure, pulse rate, body temperature and 1 550 nm absorbance were introduced as input variables of blood glucose concentration prediction model, and BP neural network was used as prediction model. In order to solve the problem that traditional BP neural network is easy to fall into local optimization, a hybrid model based on PSO-BP was introduced in this paper. The results showed that the prediction effect of PSO-BP model was better than that of traditional BP neural network. The prediction root mean square error and correlation coefficient of ten-fold cross-validation were 0.95 mmol/L and 0.74, respectively. The Clarke error grid analysis results showed that the proportion of model prediction results falling into region A was 84.39%, and the proportion falling into region B was 15.61%, which met the clinical requirements. The model can quickly measure the blood glucose concentration of the subject, and has relatively high accuracy.

Given the existing limitations of the minimally invasive or invasive blood glucose detection methods, such as low detection accuracy, high cost and complex operation, and the laser source's wavelength and cost, this paper, based on the non-invasive blood glucose detector developed by the research group, designs a non-invasive blood glucose detection method. Objective To investigate the effects of Propofol in blood spinal cord barrier (BSCB) disruption induced by spinal cord ischemia reperfusion injury (SCIRI). Methods 72 Japanese white rabbits were randomly assigned into 3 groups: sham-operation group (S); ischemia/reperfusion group (I/R) and Propofol treatment group (I/R + P). The Group S was separated the aorta without cross-clamping. SCIRI was induced in rabbits by infrarenal aortic occlusion for 30 minutes. Propofol was intravenously infused at 10 minutes before aortic clamping and at onset of reperfusion in the Group I/R + P. The Group S and Group I/R were intravenously infused 0.9%sodium chloride. Hind-limb motor function was assessed using Tarlov criteria, and histological observation by histological examination. The permeability of the BSCB was examined using EB as vascular tracers. The expression of MMP-9, claudin-5 and NF-κB were assessed by Western blot, RT-PCR. Results Propofol minimized the neuromotor dysfunction and histopathological deficits and attenuated EB extravasation. In addition, Propofol suppressed SCIRI-induced increase of MMP-9 and NF-κB. Finally, Propofol reduced the loss of claudin-5. Conclusion Propofol stabilizes the BSCB integrity after SCIRI. This beneficial effect is partly mediated by inhibition of MMP-9 and preservation claudin-5 and relates to inhibiting the NF-κB signal pathway.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects and safety of erythropoietin on nerve function and brainstem auditory evoked potential in the preterm children with brain damage. METHODS:46 preterm children with brain damage were randomly di-vided into treatment group and control group,with 23 cases in each group. Control group received conventional symptomatic treat-ment as respiratory support,nutritional support,vitamin K supplement and ganglioside. Treatment group was additionally given rhE-PO for injection (CHO cell) 500 IU/kg hypodermically,3 times a week,on the basis of control group. Both group received 3-4 weeks of treatment continuously. MDI,PDI,the content of serum nerve injury factor(NSE,S-100β),latent period and peak inter-val of brainstem auditory evoked potential were compared between 2 groups before and after treatment,and the occurrence of ADR was observed in 2 groups. RESULTS:There was no statistical significance in MDI,PDI,the content of serum nerve injury mole-cule,latent period and peak interval of brainstem auditory evoked potential between 2 groups before treatment (P>0.05). After treatment,MDI and PDI of 2 groups increased significantly,while the content of serum nerve injury factor,latent period and peak interval of brainstem auditory evoked potential decreased significantly;the treatment group was better than the control group,with statistical significance (P<0.05). No obvious ADR was found in 2 groups. CONCLUSIONS:Erythropoietin can significantly im-prove intelligence development,protect the damaged nerve cells and auditory nerve pathways with good safety.

Objective To investigate the difference of nerve behavior among the different types of fullterm small for gestational age infants(SGA) infants and the reasons.Methods The neonatal behavioral neurological assessment(NBNA) scores were given for 148 full-term SGA infants aged 7,14 and 28 days born in Affiliated Hospital of Hebei University.The comparason analysis was conducted among three types including symmetic,asymmetric and the mixture of them.Results Significant differences (P ＜ 0.05) were found between the NBNA scores for full-term SGA infants and normal infants.The NABA scores of full-term SGA infants were lower than those of normal infants.The NBNA scores for three types of full-term SGA infants followed the order of asymmetric ＞ symmetric ＞ mixture of them,significant difference was found between any two types of three types(P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Full-term SGA infants show the poorer quality of nerve behavior compared with the nomal infants.The neurodevelopment levels for three types of full-term SGA infants are asymmetric,symmetric,mixture of them in the order.

Objective To investigate the clinical value of combined detection of H‐FABP with cTnI in the diagnosis of myo‐cardial damage caused by hypoglycemia .Methods Levels of blood H‐FABP and cTnI were examined at 0 to 3 h ,24 h ,48 h after hy‐poglycemia diagnosed ,and were compared with the control group .The levels of H‐FABP and cTnI at 24 h after hypoglycemia diag‐nosed were compared among different groups separated according to the decreasing extent of blood sugar (1 .0 to 2 .1 mmol/L ,<1 .0 mmol/L group) ,the duration of hypoglycemia (< 24 h ,≥ 24 h group) and clinical feature of hypoglycemia (symptom and no symptom group) .The sensitivity and specificity of H‐FABP and cTnI in myocardial damage was also statistical analyzed in this study . Results The statistic difference of the increasing H‐FABP levels was found for 0 to 3 h(P<0 .01) and 24 h (P<0 .01) ,but not found for 48 h(P>0 .05) .The statistic difference of the increasing cTnI levels existed for 24 h (P<0 .01) and 48 h (P<0 .01) ,but not for 0 to 3 h (P>0 .05) .The increasing extent of H‐FABP and cTnI levels was obvious for group with blood sugar <1 .0 mmol/L ,duration of hypoglycemia ≥24 h and have hypoglycemia symptom ,these data have obvious statistic difference compared with other groups(P<0 .05 ,P<0 .01 ,P<0 .01) .The sensitivity and specificity of H‐FABP methods were higher than those of cTnI ac‐cording to the 0 to 3 h and 24 h detection data ,while the opposite result was found for 48 h .Conclusion Combined detection of H‐FABP with cTnI could be well applied in the diagnosis of myocardial damage caused by hypoglycemia .

Objective To investigate the effects of digestive tract nursing intervention on the Ventilator associated pneumonia of patients with cerebral trauma .Methods All the patients of cerebral trauma in ICU were divided into control and experiment groups , control group was adopted routine nursing , experiment group was adopted ventilator bundle and digestive tract nursing intervention on the basis of routine nursing .Then, compared the time of ventilation , the incidence of ventilator associated pneumonia ( VAP ) and the mortality between two groups .Results After the intervention , the time of ventilation [ ( 212 ±38 ) vs ( 146 ±25 ) , t=5.731, P<0.05)], the incidence of VAP (26.76% vs 12.50%,χ2 =3.910,P<0.05) and the mortality (39.44%vs 21.43%,χ2 =4.705, P<0.05) in experiment group were significantly lower than that in control group (P<0.05).Conclusions Based on the common strategy , digestive tract nursing intervention could decrease the time of ventilation , the incidence of VAP and the mortality ,which deserved to be promotion .

Objective To monitor the levels of NO and IL-18 in neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE), to explore the relation of NO, IL-18 and HIE. Methods HIE infants admitted in our hospital from January to Novermber of 2007 were taken as observation group and normal neonates were chosen as control group. In each group,the concentrations of NO and IL-18 were tested on 1 day,3 days,7 days and 14 days. Results On the first day after birth,the levels of serum NO and IL-18 in control group were (6.40±4.24) μmol/L and (2.84± 2.53)ng/L,in mild HIE group were (21.55±7.23) μmoL/L and (6.79±1.96) ng/L,in moderate HIE group were (33.38±2.81) μmol/L and (14.07±2.91) ng/L,in severe HIE group were (66.39±18.03) μmoL/L and (26.85±9.82) ng/L. The levels of serum NO and IL-18, in HIE groups were higher than those in control group (P<0.01), were much higher in patients with moderate and severe HIE than those with mild HIE (P<0.01). On 14 days,the levels of serum No and IL-18 were not different in moderate HIE groups and those in the control group (P>0.05), butwere higher in the severe HIE groups than those in the control group [NO and IL-8 level: (5.38± 4.79) μmol/L and (2.39±1.41) ng/L in control group and (24.89±9.43) μmol./L and (13.43±3.23) ng/L in severe HIE group(P<0.01)]. Conclusion NO and IL-18 are involved in the whole course of HIE, which are correlated with the severity of condition. They may be acted as indicators in monitoring pationts' conditon.

In the face of the worldwide threat of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) to human life, some of the most urgent challenges are to develop fast and accurate analytical methods for early diagnosis of this disease as well as to create a safe anti-viral vaccine for prevention. To these ends, we investigated the antigenicity of the spike protein (S protein), a major structural protein in the SARS-coronavirus (SARS-CoV). Based upon the theoretical analysis for hydrophobicity of the S protein, 18 peptides were synthesized. Using Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA), these peptides were screened in the sera from SARS patients. According to these results, two fragments of the S gene were amplified by PCR and cloned into pET-32a. Both S fragments were expressed in the BL-21 strain and further purified with an affinity chromatography. These recombinant S fragments were confirmed to have positive cross-reactions with SARS sera, either by Western blot or by ELISA. Our results demonstrated that the potential epitope regions were located at Codons 469-882 in the S protein, and one epitope site was located at Codons 599-620. Identification of antigenic regions in the SARS-CoV S protein may be important for the functional studies of this virus or the development of clinical diagnosis.
