Objective To investigate the population density and seasonal fluctuations of Aedes albopictus in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, from 2021 to 2023, so as to provide insights into A. albopictus control and management of dengue fever. Methods The surveillance of A. albopictus density was performed in all surveillance sites assigned across all streets (townships) in Guangzhou City during the period from January to December from 2021 to 2023. The surveillance frequency was twice every half month from May to September, and once every month for the rest of a year. In each surveillance period, A. albopictus mosquito larvae were captured from indoor and outdoor small water containers in residential areas, parks, medical facilities, schools, other government sectors and social organizations, construction sites, special industries and others for mosquito species identification. Adult mosquitoes were captured using electric mosquito suction apparatus for species identification and gender classification. Adult mosquitoes and mosquito eggs were collected with mosquito and egg traps at the breeding and dwelling places of Aedes mosquitoes for identification. The mosquito oviposition index (MOI), Breteau index (BI), adult mosquito density index (ADI) and standard space index (SSI) were calculated. The A. albopictus density was classified into grades 0, 1, 2 and 3 in each surveillance site, with Grade 0 density defined eligible, and the eligible rate of A. albopictus density was calculated at all surveillance sites each year from 2021 to 2023. In addition, the changing trends in MOI, SSI, BI and ADI of A. albopictus were analyzed in Guangzhou City from 2021 to 2023. Results The eligible rates of A. albopictus density were 61.69%, 68.75% and 55.15% in surveillance sites of Guangzhou City from 2021 to 2023 (χ2 = 297.712, P < 0.001), and appeared a tendency towards a reduction followed by a rise each year, which gradually reduced since January, maintained at a low level during the period between May and October, and gradually increased from November to December. The MOI, SSI, BI and ADI of A. albopictus all appeared a tendency towards a rise followed by a reduction in Guangzhou City during the period between January and December from 2021 to 2023. The BI of A. albopictus peaked in the first half of June in 2021 (4.03), the first half of July in 2022 (3.89) and the last half of August in 2023 (5.02), and the SSI of A. albopictus peaked in the last half of June in 2021 (0.93), the last half of May in 2022 (0.59), and the last half of June (0.94) and the first half of September in 2023 (1.12). In addition, the MOI of A. albopictus peaked in the first half of May in 2021 (8.64), the first half of June in 2022 (8.96), and the last half of May (10.21) and the last half of June in 2023 (10.89), and the ADI of A. albopictus peaked in the first half of June in 2021 (3.41), the last half of June in 2022 (4.06), and the first half of July in 2023 (3.61). Conclusions The density of A. albopictus is high in Guangzhou City during the period from May to October, and the risk of local outbreak caused by imported dengue fever is high. Persistent intensified surveillance of the density and seasonal fluctuation of A. albopictus is recommended and timely mosquito prevention and control is required according to the fluctuation in the A. albopictus density.

Journal of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2025;48(4):516-528
Objective:
Exploring the effect and mechanism of Xinyang Tablet on reduction of ferroptosis in myocardial cells from mice with chronic heart failure.
Methods:
Sixty C57BL/6J mice were randomly assigned to the sham, model, Xinyang Tablet low-dose (0.34 g/kg), Xinyang Tablet medium-dose (0.68 g/kg), Xinyang Tablet high-dose (1.36 g/kg), and perindopril (0.607 mg/kg) groups using a random number table method (10 mice in each group). Except for the sham group, all other groups underwent aortic arch constriction surgery to construct a chronic heart failure model. On the third day after completion of the modeling, each treatment group was administered the corresponding medication by gavage, while the sham and model groups were administered equal volumes of water by gavage once a day for eight consecutive weeks. After treatment, cardiac ultrasound was used to detect the structure and function of the mouse heart. Hematoxylin and eosin staining was used to detect pathological changes in mouse heart tissue. Masson staining was used to detect the proportion of fibrotic area of mouse heart tissue. Realtime fluorescence PCR was used to detect the mRNA expression of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP), brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), collagen 3α (Col3α), and myosin heavy chain 7 (MYH7) in mouse myocardial tissue. Transmission electron microscope was used to detect the ultrastructure of myocardial cell mitochondria. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) staining was used to detect the mean fluorescence intensity of ROS in myocardial tissue. Micro-determination was used to detect superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity in myocardial tissue. An immunofluorescence assay was used to detect the mean fluorescence intensity of phosphorylated histone deacetylase 2 (p-HDAC2) in myocardial cell. Western blotting was used to detect the protein expression of nuclear factor-erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2), p-HDAC2, nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate oxidase 1 (NOX1), glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4), and cystine glutamate reverse transporter (xCT) in mouse myocardial tissue.
Results:
Compared to the sham group, the model group showed a decrease in left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left ventricular fraction shortening (LVFS), an increase in left ventricular end-systolic diameter(LVESD) and left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD), an increase in the proportion of cardiac fibrosis area, an increase in relative expression levels of ANP, BNP, Col3α, and MYH7 mRNA, an increase in ROS mean fluorescence intensity, a decrease in SOD activity, an increase in mean fluorescence intensity of p-HDAC2, an increase in relative expression levels of p-HDAC2 and NOX1 proteins, and a decrease in relative expression levels of Nrf2, GPX4, and xCT proteins (P<0.05). Myocardial fibrosis lesions are obvious, with disordered mitochondrial arrangement, decreased volume and shrinkage, increased membrane density, and reduced mitochondrial cristae. Compared to the model group, the LVEF and LVFS of mice in each dose group of Xinyang Tablet and the perindopril group increased, LVESD and LVEDD decreased, the proportion of fibrotic area of heart tissue decreased, the relative expression levels of ANP, BNP, Col3α, MYH7 mRNA decreased, ROS mean fluorescence intensity decreased, SOD activity increased, mean fluorescence intensity of p-HDAC2 decreased, relative expression levels of p-HDAC2 and NOX1 proteins decreased, and relative expression levels of Nrf2 and xCT proteins increased (P<0.05). Myocardial fibrosis was reduced, the mitochondrial arrangement was more regular, the mitochondria enlarged, the membrane density was reduced, and mitochondrial cristae increased. Compared to the model group, the relative expression level of the GPX4 protein in myocardial tissue increased in the Xinyang Tablet medium-, high-dose, and the perindopril groups (P<0.05).
Conclusion
Xinyang Tablet can improve ferroptosis and ventricular remodeling in mice with chronic heart failure by regulating the HDAC2-mediated Nrf2 antioxidant pathway.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2024;45(1):72-76
Objective:
To examine the association of 24 hour movement behaviors with emotional and behavioral problems among left behind children, so as to provide a theoretical reference for the practice of 24 hour activity interventions to promote emotional and behavioral problems in this population.
Methods:
From February to May 2023, 1 117 left behind children in grades 4-6 from 10 primary schools in five cities in Zhejiang Province were selected using a convenient cluster sampling method to conduct a questionnaire survey examining 24 hour movement behaviors, as well as emotional and behavioral problems. The general linear model was adopted to analyze the association between satisfying the 24 hour movement behavior guidelines, and emotional and behavioral problems among left behind children.
Results:
The sleep duration compliance rate was the highest (52.19%), while the moderate-to-vigorous PA (MVPA) compliance rate was the lowest (17.73%). The compliance rate of the three activities accounted for 7.43 %. There was a dose response between the number of guidelines satisfied, and the emotional and behavior of left behind children; that was, satisfaction of a higher number of guidelines was associated with a lower risk of emotional and behavioral problems among left behind children (difficulty factor: β=-0.56, 95%CI =-1.23--0.19; strength factor: β=0.50, 95%CI =-0.48-1.22, P < 0.01). Compared to satisfying none of the guidelines, satisfying the guidelines for screen time ( β=-0.23, 95%CI =-2.18- -0.14 ) and sleep duration ( β=-0.13, 95%CI =-1.66--0.11) was negatively correlated with the difficulty factor, while satisfying the guideline for MVPA ( β=0.13, 95%CI =0.09-1.08) and sleep duration ( β=0.18, 95%CI =0.09-1.40) was positively associated with the strength factor. In addition, satisfying two or all three of the guidelines was more strongly associated with these outcomes than satisfying one of the recommendations ( P <0.01).
Conclusions
Meeting the 24 hour movement behavior guidelines can improve emotional and behavioral problems among left behind children. It is necessary to raise their awareness of the effect of satisfying the 24 hour movement behavior guidelines and formulate comprehensive intervention measures.

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2024;26(1):26-34
Objective:To evaluate the reliability of a region-locked 3D-printed template combined with a bi-directional matching scheme in assistance of screw placement for thoracolumbar fractures. Methods:From January 2019 to March 2023, 52 patients with thoracolumbar fracture were treated at Department of Orthopedics, The People's Hospital of Liyang. They were 29 males and 23 females, with an age of (58.2±13.3) years. They were divided into a template group and a free-hand group according to the different screw placements. In the template group of 25 cases, a region-locked 3D-printed template combined with a bi-directional matching scheme was used to assist the pedicle positioning; in the free-hand group of 27 cases, the free hand screw placement was assisted only by image data and C-arm fluoroscopy. The operation time, intraoperative fluoroscopy frequency, intraoperative blood loss, complications, and placement accuracy were compared between the 2 groups. Visual analogue scale (VAS), Oswestry disability index (ODI), and anterior height ratio of the injured vertebra were compared between preoperation, 1 week postoperation, and the final follow-up, as well as between the 2 groups. Results:There were no statistically significant differences in the preoperative general data between the 2 groups, showing comparability ( P>0.05). All patients were followed up for (11.2±4.2) months. The differences were not statistically significant between the 2 groups in intraoperative blood loss, rate of complications, VAS or ODI at preoperation, 1 week postoperation, or the final follow-up, or in anterior height ratio of the injured vertebra ( P>0.05). In the template group, the operation time [(80.1±18.5) min] was significantly longer than that in the free-hand group [(69.4±16.6) min], the intraoperative fluoroscopy frequency [2 (2, 3) times] significantly lower than that in the free-hand group [3 (3, 4) times], and the placement accuracy [98.4% (127/129)] significantly higher than that in the free-hand group [91.8% (112/122)] (all P<0.05). All patients showed significant improvements in VAS, ODI and anterior height ratio of the injured vertebra at postoperative 1 week compared with the preoperative values, and the improvements at the last follow-up were significantly larger than those at postoperative 1 week ( P<0.05). No injury to the spinal cord, nerve root or blood vessel was observed postoperatively. Conclusions:In the treatment of thoracolumbar fractures, the screw placement assisted by a region-locked 3D-printed template combined with a bi-directional matching scheme is better than free-hand screw placement in terms of improved accuracy and reduced fluoroscopy, but the former incurs longer operative exposure than the latter. There is no significant difference between the 2 methods of screw placement in clinical efficacy.

WHONET 5.6 and SPSS 25.0 software were used to analyze the data. Results:During the study period,9 035 strains of Gram-negative bacteria were collected from 51 hospitals,of which 7 895(87.4%)were Enterobacteriaceae and 1 140(12.6%)were non-fermenting bacteria. The top 5 bacterial species were Escherichia coli( n=4 510,49.9%), Klebsiella pneumoniae( n=2 340,25.9%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa( n=534,5.9%), Acinetobacter baumannii complex( n=405,4.5%)and Enterobacter cloacae( n=327,3.6%). The ESBLs-producing rates in Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Proteus spp. were 47.1%(2 095/4 452),21.0%(427/2 033)and 41.1%(58/141),respectively. The prevalence of carbapenem-resistant Escherichia coli(CREC)and carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae(CRKP)were 1.3%(58/4 510)and 13.1%(307/2 340);62.1%(36/58)and 9.8%(30/307)of CREC and CRKP were resistant to ceftazidime/avibactam combination, respectively. The prevalence of carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii(CRAB)complex was 59.5%(241/405),while less than 5% of Acinetobacter baumannii complex was resistant to tigecycline and polymyxin B. The prevalence of carbapenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa(CRPA)was 18.4%(98/534). There were differences in the composition ratio of Gram-negative bacteria in bloodstream infections and the prevalence of main Gram-negative bacteria resistance among different regions, with statistically significant differences in the prevalence of CRKP and CRPA( χ2=20.489 and 20.252, P<0.001). The prevalence of CREC,CRKP,CRPA,CRAB,ESBLs-producing Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae were higher in provinicial hospitals than those in municipal hospitals( χ2=11.953,81.183,10.404,5.915,12.415 and 6.459, P<0.01 or <0.05),while the prevalence of CRPA was higher in economically developed regions(per capita GDP ≥ 92 059 Yuan)than that in economically less-developed regions(per capita GDP <92 059 Yuan)( χ2=6.240, P=0.012). Conclusions:The proportion of Gram-negative bacteria in bloodstream infections shows an increasing trend, and Escherichia coli is ranked in the top, while the trend of CRKP decreases continuously with time. Decreasing trends are noted in ESBLs-producing Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae. Low prevalence of carbapenem resistance in Escherichia coli and high prevalence in CRAB complex have been observed. The composition ratio and antibacterial spectrum of bloodstream infections in different regions of China are slightly different, and the proportion of main drug resistant bacteria in provincial hospitals is higher than those in municipal hospitals.

Cancer Research on Prevention and Treatment 2024;51(12):1015-1020
Objective To construct a risk prediction model for liver cancer in patients with chronic hepatitis C based on seven different machine learning algorithms and select the optimal model. Methods A total of 236 patients with chronic hepatitis C were selected as the research subjects. Patients were divided into a case group and a control group according to whether liver cancer occurs. Prediction models were constructed based on seven machine learning algorithms including classification and regression tree, random forest, gradient boosting decision tree, extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), logistic regression, K-near neighbor, and support vector machine. The Shapley additive explanations (SHAP) algorithm was used to interpret the best prediction model. Results Among the seven models, the XGBoost model had the best comprehensive prediction performance (accuracy of 0.933, sensitivity of 0.775, specificity of 0.960, area under the ROC curve of 0.956, F1 score of 0.764). The SHAP algorithm suggested that AFP, age, AST, diabetes, BMI, PLT, ALT, liver cysts, FIB-4, and gender contributed to the model decision and are the risk factors for liver cancer in patients with chronic hepatitis C. Conclusion This study develops an interpretable machine learning model based on the XGBoost algorithm, which has a good reference value for individualized monitoring of liver cancer in patients with chronic hepatitis C.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2024;45(5):684-688
Objective:
To explore the associations of physical activity and sleep quality with anxiety and depressive symptoms in college students, in order to provide empirical support and theoretical guidance for mental health intervention among college students.
Methods:
From March to April 2023, 2 099 college students from universities in 6 different provinces were selected by a convenient sampling method. Physical activity, sleep quality, anxiety and depressive symptoms were evaluated by the International Physical Activity Questionnaire Short Form (IPAQSF), the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), the Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale (CESD) and the Anxiety SelfRating Scale (SAS), respectively. Descriptive statistics and Logistic regression models were used to analyze the data.
Results:
The reporting rates of lowintensity, moderateintensity, and highintensity physical activity among college students were 30.3%, 45.3%, and 24.4%, respectively. Moreover, among the participants, anxiety was detected in 21.6% and depressive symptoms in 39.9%, while 62.3% experienced poor sleep quality. Compared with males, females exhibited a lower proportion of highintensity physical activity (22.3% vs 42.8%), while reported higher proportions of moderateintensity (48.1% vs 40.8%) and lowintensity physical activity (29.5% vs 16.4%). Additionally, the proportion of females reporting poor sleep quality (65.0%) was higher than that of males (58.0%) (χ2=110.15, 10.70, P<0.05). The proportion of girls (43.8%) with depressive sypmtoms was higher than that of boys (33.9%) (χ2=20.48, P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that high physical activity was negatively correlated with anxiety and depression (OR=0.45, 0.33), poor sleep quality was positively correlated with anxiety and depressive symptoms (OR=3.89, 3.94) (P<0.01).The interaction effect between high physical activity and good sleep quality was associated with the reduction of anxiety and depression among college students (OR=0.14, 0.08, P<0.01).
Conclusions
Physical activity and sleep quality are associated with anxiety and depressive symptoms among college students. The interventions for mental health problems such as depression and anxiety among college students should aim to improve physical activity and sleep quality.

Chinese Journal of Trauma 2024;40(7):614-622
Objective:To explore the optimal insertion point of reverse sacral alar-iliac screws (RSAIS) in sacroiliac joint fixation for Tile type C pelvic fracture and the effectiveness of its preliminary clinical application. Methods:CT data from 90 patients with no abnormal pelvic structures in the Radiology Department database of Liyang People's Hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected. There were 45 males and 45 females, aged 21-69 years [(45.5±6.4)years]. With CT digital reconstruction technology, the RSAIS fixation was simulated and the anterior insertable area was measured. Five insertion points were at the ilium-acetabular recess in the area superior posterior to the acetabulum (A1), at 1 cm (A2) and 2 cm (A3) posterior transversal to A1, at 1 cm (A4) and 2 cm (A5) inferior longitudinal to A1. With the entry point of S 1 pedicle screw as the exit point, the transverse and sagittal CT scans were conducted on 5 screw trajectories of anterior posterior lines (corresponding to five groups). The anatomical parameters of the screw trajectories, including the length, width and height of the screw trajectories were measured by two observers independently and the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) between the observers was analyzed. Tile type C pelvic fracture models were established from 20 3D-printed L 5-pelvis-femur specimens and divided into 5 groups, with 4 specimens in each group. The anterior rings were fixed with cross screws while the posterior rings with one RSAIS in each group using one of the aforementioned 5 screw trajectories. The overall displacement and local displacement of the sacroiliac space under 300 N vertical load in all the groups were measured with a biomechanical machine. The screw trajectory was designed according to the optimal insertion point shown in the above anatomical measurements and mechanical experiments. An RSAIS with a diameter of 7.3 mm was inserted percutaneously to treat a patient with Tile type C1 pelvic fracture. The fluoroscopy time of screw insertion and screw position were recorded as well as bone reunion, numerical rating scale for pain, Oswestry dysfunction index (ODI) and Majeed functional score of pelvic fracture at the last follow-up. Results:The anterior insertable area was (1236.64±12.04)mm 2. The trajectory lengths for the three transversal insertion points gradually decreased from front to back, with A1 being the longest (104.9±10.4)mm, followed by A2 (98.5±9.8)mm and A3 the shortest (92.7±9.7)mm ( P<0.01), while there were no significant differences in the widths or heights ( P>0.05). There were no significant differences in the length, width or height of the screw trajectories of the three longitudinal insertion points (groups A1, A4 and A5) ( P>0.05). Compared with A4 and A5, A1 was farther from the margin of the acetabulum. The range of ICC of the anatomical parameters of the 3 screw trajectories measured by the two observers was 0.88-0.98, 95% CI 0.90, 0.96, and 95% CI 0.95, 0.99, indicating high consistency. After the screws were placed and fixed at the 3 transversal insertion points, the overall displacement and local displacement of the sacroiliac space of groups A1, A2 and A3 gradually increased from front to back. They were (2.93±0.09)mm and (1.49±0.14)mm in group A1, (3.14±0.12)mm and (1.63±0.54)mm in group A2 and (3.23±0.12)mm and (1.67±0.67)mm in group A3 respectively. There was a significant difference in the overall displacement among three groups ( P<0.01), while the local displacement of the sacroiliac space in group A1 was decreased compared with that of group A2 and A3 ( P<0.01). After the screws were placed and fixed at the 3 longitudinal insertion points, there were no significant differences in the overall displacement and local displacement of the sacroiliac space of group A1, A4 and A5 ( P>0.05). The fluoroscopy time of RSAIS inserted from A1 for the treatment of patients with Tile C1 pelvic fracture was 66 seconds, with fine screw position. At the last follow-up, the fracture was healed, with numerical rating scale for pain decreased from 6 points preoperatively to 1, ODI improved from 41 preoperatively to 18, and the Majeed functional score of 81 points. Conclusions:For Tile type C pelvic fracture, the screw trajectory from the iliac-acetabular recess located in the superior anterior part of the insertable area is the longest, with the best stability and relatively good safety of the screw, making it the optimal insertion point for RSAIS. The effect of preliminary clinical application of RSAIS from the optimal insertion point is satisfactory.

Antibiotic susceptibility tests were conducted by agar dilution or broth dilution methods recommended by Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute(CLSI). WHONET 5.6 and SPSS 25.0 software were used to analyze the data. Results:A total of 3 163 strains of Gram-positive pathogens were collected from 51 member units, and the top five bacteria were Staphylococcus aureus( n=1 147,36.3%),coagulase-negative Staphylococci( n=928,29.3%), Enterococcus faecalis( n=369,11.7%), Enterococcus faecium( n=296,9.4%)and alpha-hemolyticus Streptococci( n=192,6.1%). The detection rates of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA)and methicillin-resistant coagulase-negative Staphylococci(MRCNS)were 26.4%(303/1 147)and 66.7%(619/928),respectively. No glycopeptide and daptomycin-resistant Staphylococci were detected. The sensitivity rates of Staphylococcus aureus to cefpirome, rifampin, compound sulfamethoxazole, linezolid, minocycline and tigecycline were all >95.0%. Enterococcus faecium was more prevalent than Enterococcus faecalis. The resistance rates of Enterococcus faecium to vancomycin and teicoplanin were both 0.5%(2/369),and no vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium was detected. The detection rate of MRSA in southern China was significantly lower than that in other regions( χ2=14.578, P=0.002),while the detection rate of MRCNS in northern China was significantly higher than that in other regions( χ2=15.195, P=0.002). The detection rates of MRSA and MRCNS in provincial hospitals were higher than those in municipal hospitals( χ2=13.519 and 12.136, P<0.001). The detection rates of MRSA and MRCNS in economically more advanced regions(per capita GDP≥92 059 Yuan in 2022)were higher than those in economically less advanced regions(per capita GDP<92 059 Yuan)( χ2=9.969 and 7.606, P=0.002和0.006). Conclusions:Among the Gram-positive pathogens causing bloodstream infections in China, Staphylococci is the most common while the MRSA incidence decreases continuously with time;the detection rate of Enterococcus faecium exceeds that of Enterococcus faecalis. The overall prevalence of vancomycin-resistant Enterococci is still at a low level. The composition ratio of Gram-positive pathogens and resistant profiles varies slightly across regions of China, with the prevalence of MRSA and MRCNS being more pronounced in provincial hospitals and areas with a per capita GDP≥92 059 yuan.

From January to March, 2022, the data of pregnant women with healthy single pregnancy at childbearing age were collected and prospectively followed up until delivery. According to the gestational age, the subjects were divided into early pregnancy group (less than 14 weeks), middle pregnancy group (14-27+6 weeks) and late pregnancy group (≥28 weeks). PRL was determined by Soling LIAISON XL automatic chemiluminescence immunoassay and LIAISON® prolactin. After eliminating outliers, the medical reference interval of serum PRL during pregnancy was established by percentile method ( A total of 170 participants were included in the early pregnancy group, 229 participants in the middle pregnancy group and 130 participants in the late pregnancy group. There were significant differences in serum PRL levels in pregnant women at different stages of pregnancy. With the increase of gestational age, serum PRL level increased. The reference intervals of serum PRL in early, middle and late pregnancy were 477-4270 mIU/L, 1060-6574 mIU/L and 3497-18 274 mIU/L, respectively. All the established reference intervals were verified. This study has established the reference interval of serum PRL during pregnancy of healthy single pregnant women of childbearing age in Suzhou area, to provide help for clinical rational application of this index, and further reference for the prevention of pregnancy-related diseases.
