ObjectiveTo examine the current status of preschoolers' eating behaviors and investigate its correlation with family cohesion and adaptability. MethodsA cross-sectional study was conducted involving 21,954 preschoolers and their families from Pingshan District, Shenzhen, between September 2021 and December 2021. A general demographic questionnaire, the Chinese version of Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scale Ⅱ (FACESⅡ-CV) and Chinese Preschoolers’ Eating Behavior Questionnaire (CPEBQ) were used to collect the relevant information. Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the association of family cohesion and adaptability with eating behaviors of preschoolers. ResultsTypes of family cohesion and adaptability were significantly correlated with all the 7 dimensions of preschoolers' eating behaviors, including food fussiness (R2=0.252, F=114.457, P<0.001), food responsiveness (R2 = 0.111, F =24.973, P<0.001), eating habit (R2= 0.304, F =139.658, P<0.001), satiety responsiveness (R2 = 0.259, F =105.332, P<0.001), external eating (R2 = 0.182, F =50.150, P<0.001), emotional eating (R2 = 0.234, F =91.084, P<0.001) and initiative eating (R2 = 0.349, F =168.608, P<0.001). After adjusting for confounding factors, our study showed that types of family cohesion and adaptability were independent predictors of preschoolers' eating behaviors (P<0.05). ConclusionsTypes of family cohesion and adaptability have a significant predictive effect on the 7 dimensions of preschoolers' eating behaviors. Higher scores of family cohesion and adaptability imply stronger initiative eating ability and less poor dietary behaviors in preschoolers.

OBJECTIVETo explore the biological function of BMAL1 in human acute myeloid leukemia by means of the HL-60 cell line in whica circadian gene BMAL1 was konocked-out by the CRISPR/Cas9 technology.
METHODSTwo sgRNAs for BMAL1 were designed and the PX459 knockout vectors containing the sgRNA were constructed. The activity of 2 sgRNAs was detected by T7 endonuclease I. the BMAL1 knocked out HL-60 cells were prepared by transient transfection of the target vectors into the cells. Western blot was used to detect the expression of BMAL1 protein. The apoptosis of the targeted cells was detected by flow cytometry. The proliferation status of the cells was assessed by the CCK-8 assay.
RESULTSThe PX459-sgRNA vectors were successfully constructed and screened to assure the activity of the targeting vector. It was found that the expression of BMAL1 protein was not detected in BMAL1-knocked out HL- 60 cells. Further, it was shown that BMAL1 knockdout could promote the apoptosis of HL-60 cells and inhibit the cell proliferation ability.
CONCLUSIONBMAL1 knocked out HL-60 cells have bean successfully established using the CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing technique, and BMAL1 knockout can promote the HL-60 cell apoptosis and inhibit its proliferation. These result reveal the biological role of the BMAL1 circadian gene in acute myeloid leukemia.

Objective To compare the efficacy and complications of the extend endoscopic endonasal approach (EEA) and open transcranial approach for resection of craniopharyngiomas. Methods The clinical data from 46 patients with craniopharyngiomas with extend EEA and 54 patients with transcranial route in our department was analyzed retrospectively. The gross total resection (GTR) rate, length of hospital stays and complications of the two groups were compared. Results The tumor diameters of were larger in the endoscopic group than in the transcranial group (3.5 ± 1.3cm vs. 3.0±0.8 cm, P<0.05). The endoscopic group had a greater GTR rate (67.4%vs. 46.3%, P<0.05)and improved visual outcome(84.2% vs. 59.5%,P<0.05),but lower rate of hypopituitarism (56.5% vs. 75.9%,P<0.05)and permanent diabetes insipidus (51.4% vs.72.7%,P<0.05). On the contrast, the endoscopic group had a greater rate of cerebrospinal fluid leak(4.3% vs. 0.0%,P>0.05)and longer hospital stays(17.0±3.6 d vs. 13.1±2.3 d,P<0.01). Hyposmia(34.8%)and hemorrhinia (2.2%)only happened in the endoscopic group. Conclusion Compared with transcranial route, the extend EEA for craniopharyngiomas is minimal invasion and effective, which can effectively improve the GTR rate and reduce the clinical symptoms.

Objective To explore the nutritional status and determinants among rural stranded children under 7 years of age. Methods The group of stranded children (n=7585) and the children for control (n=7557) were identified by multi-stage stratified cluster sampling. The ascertainment methods mainly included questionnaire, anthropometric measurements and laboratory examination. Results In this study, there were three groups, including the group of stranded children whose single parent left home to look for better job somewhere, the group of stranded children whose parent both left home and the third group serving as control. Prevalent rates on the following items were: stunting -- 14.9%, 17.9% and 16.3%, underweight -- 7.2%, 8.3% and 7.6%, wasting -- 3.1%, 3.4% and 3.3% and anemia -- 18.9%, 20.6%, 18.7% respectively. The prevalent rate of stunting in the group of children with both parents away from home was significantly higher than that those with only one parent did. The prevalence rate of anemia in the group with both parents away from home was significantly higher than that in the control group. Based on multivariate non-conditional logistic regression analysis, the determinants of stunting among the stranded children were: age, with low birth weight, living alone, being the only child in the family, mother's education level, frequency of eating breakfast and snacks every week, motives of caretakers and the relationship between children and the caretakers. The determinants of underweight among those stranded children were: age of child, with low birth weight, the frequency of eating snacks every week, motives of the caretakers and having rickets. Conclusion The nutritional status among rural stranded children was relatively poor, especially in those whose parents were both away from home, which calls for urgent improvement.

Objective To explore knowledge, attitude, practice (KAP) and related determinants on nutrition among caregivers of those rural stranded children under 7 years of age in China and to provide evidence for setting up relevant health education program. Methods 1691 caregivers of the stranded children randomly selected were surveyed by a standard questionnaire. Logistic regression models were used to screen the determinants on KAP regarding nutrition. Results Rates on awareness, positive attitude and approprite behavior were lower in caregivers of children whose parents both left (47.8%, 55.4%, 41.8%, respectively) the countryside, when compared with those only one parent was away from home (59.9%, 59.5%, 38.0%, respectively). Data from multivariable logistic regression models showed that caregivers' KAP on nutrition was related to age, educational background, average family income, and willingness on the job as well as the age of the child. Conclusion Improving caregivers' KAP on nutrition and setting up appropriate health education program were in urgent need.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the impact of patient's heart rate(HR)on coronary CT angiography(CTA)image quality(IQ)and reconstruction timing in dual-source CT(DSCT).Methods Ninety-five patients with suspicion of coronary artery disease were examined with a DSCT scanner(Somatom Definition.Siemens)using 32×0.6 mm collimation. All patients were divided three groups according to the heart rate(HR):group 1,HR≤70 beats per minute(bpm),n=26;group 2,HR>70 bpm to≤90 bpm, n=37;group 3,HR>90 bpm,n=32. No beta-blockers were taken before CT scan.50-60 ml of nonionic contrast agent were injected with a rate of 5 ml/s. Images were reconstructed from 10%to 100% of the R-R interval using single-segment reconstruction. Two readers independently assessed IQ of all coronary segments using a 3-point scale from excellent(1)to non-assessable(3)for coronary segments and the relationshiD between IQ and the HR. ResuitsOverall mean IQ score was 1.31 ±0.55 for all patients with 1.08±0.27 for group 1,1.32±0.58 for group 2 and 1.47±0.61 for group 3. The IQ was better in the LAD than the RCA and LCX(P<0.01).Only 1.4%(19/1386)of coronary artery segments were considered non-assessable due to the motion artifacts.Optimal image quality of all coronary segments in 74 patients(77.9%)can be achieved with one reconstruction data set.The best IQ was predominately in diastote(88.5%)in group 1,while the best IQ was in systole(84.4%)in group 3. ConclusionsDSCT can achieve the optimal IQ with a wide range of HR using single-segment reconstruction. With the increasing of HR,the timing of data reconstruction for the best IQ shifts from mid-diastole to systole.

OBJECTIVETo explore the scan technique and image quality of coronary angiography with dual source computed tomography (CT) without oral metoprolol preparation.
METHODSPlain and enhanced dual source CT coronary angiography without oral metoprolol preparation was prospectively performed in 600 patients. Calcium scoring with plain scan images as well as multi-planar reconstruction (MPR), maximum intensity projection (MIP), and volume rendering technique (VRT) reconstruction with enhanced scan images were performed in all cases. The scan technique and post-reconstruction experience was summarized. The image quality was classified as 1 to 4 points, and coronary segments classified according to the American Heart Association standards were evaluated.
RESULTSThe average calcium score of the 600 cases was 213.6 +/- 298.7 (0-3,216.5). The average heart rate of the enhanced scan was 82.1 +/- 16.2 (47-139) bpm. The post-reconstruction methods with which coronary segments could be shown as best as possible consisted of single phase reconstruction method, two or more phases supplemented method, and electrocardiogram editing method. Altogether 8,457 coronary segments were evaluated, among which 97.2% were evaluated as point 1, 1.7% point 2, 0.5% point 3, and 0.6% point 4. The coronary segments in 261 cases were completely normal, while 360 segments were diagnosed with < 50% stenosis and 625 segments with > or = 50% stenosis.
CONCLUSIONSExcellent coronary artery image can be obtained with dual source CT in patients with any heart rate without oral metoprolol preparation. Heart rate is not a major source of the artifact, coronary segments can be well shown with single or multiple-phase reconstruction method.
