Based on the strategy of metabolomics combined with bioinformatics, this study analyzed the potential allergens and mechanism of pseudo-allergic reactions (PARs) induced by the combined use of Reduning injection and penicillin G injection. All animal experiments and welfare are in accordance with the requirements of the First Affiliated Experimental Animal Ethics and Animal Welfare Committee of Henan University of Chinese Medicine (approval number: YFYDW2020002). Based on UPLC-Q-TOF/MS technology combined with UNIFI software, a total of 21 compounds were identified in Reduning and penicillin G mixed injection. Based on molecular docking technology, 10 potential allergens with strong binding activity to MrgprX2 agonist sites were further screened. Metabolomics analysis using UPLC-Q-TOF/MS technology revealed that 34 differential metabolites such as arachidonic acid, phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylserine, prostaglandins, and leukotrienes were endogenous differential metabolites of PARs caused by combined use of Reduning injection and penicillin G injection. To fulfill the calibration requirements for absorbed dose to water in external beam radiotherapy,the summary offers a streamlined calibration procedure and recommendations in accordance with TRS-398(version 7)published by International Atomic Energy Agency in 2024.It addresses various considerations for reference measurement conditions in external beam radiotherapy and defines the appropriate scope for ionization chambers.In terms of ionization chamber measurements,it elaborates on the methods for measuring various correction factors and provides a table of beam quality conversion factors.The calibration uncertainty is examined by comparing the contributions of different factors before and after the update.The results demonstrate that using IBA FC65-G ionization chamber to calibrate high-energy photon beams,high-energy electron beams,proton beams and light ion beams results in relative deviations of-0.4%,0.5%,-1.7%and-1.3%as compared with the earlier versions,with relative standard uncertainties of 1.0%,1.1%,1.7%and 2.6%,respectively.The guideline which is tailored to the national radiotherapy dose calibration standards and practices presents an optimized calibration approach for TRS-398,allowing clinicians to conduct absolute dose calibration more efficiently and accurately.

Our research examines the learning curves of various minimally invasive lumbar surgeries to determine the benefits and challenges they pose to both surgeons and patients. The advent of microsurgical techniques since the 1960s, including advances in fluoroscopic navigation and intraoperative computed tomography, has significantly shifted spinal surgery from open to minimally invasive methods. This study critically evaluates surgical duration, intraoperative conversions to open surgery, and complications as primary parameters to gauge these learning curves. Through a comprehensive literature search up to March 2024, involving databases PubMed, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science, this paper identifies a steep learning curve associated with these surgeries. Despite their proven advantages in reducing recovery time and surgical trauma, these procedures require surgeons to master advanced technology and equipment, which can directly impact patient outcomes. The study underscores the need for well-defined learning curves to facilitate efficient training and enhance surgical proficiency, especially for novice surgeons. Moreover, it addresses the implications of technology on surgical accuracy and the subsequent effects on complication rates, providing insights into the complex dynamics of adopting new surgical innovations in spinal health care.

SUBJECTS/METHODS:
This study used the data from the US National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2005–2020). Two intermittent 24-h dietary recalls were used to evaluate fruit and vegetable consumption. Frailty was assessed using the frailty index. Logistic regression, stratified analyses, and restricted cubic spline models were used to examine these associations.
RESULTS:
A higher daily intake of citrus, melons, and berries (odds ratio [OR], 0.77; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.65–0.92), other fruit (OR, 0.74; 95% CI, 0.62–0.88), intact fruit (OR, 0.71; 95% CI, 0.60–0.84), dark-green vegetables (OR, 0.71; 95% CI, 0.60–0.83), and total vegetables (OR, 0.80; 95% CI, 0.66–0.96), along with a lower fruit juice intake (OR, 0.81; 95% CI, 0.69–0.96), were associated with a reduced risk of frailty in adults aged 18 yrs and older.Further analysis showed that the daily consumption of citrus melons and berries, other fruit, intact fruit, fruit juice, and tomatoes and tomato products were inversely associated with frailty in adults under 60 yrs and females. Dark green vegetables were inversely correlated with frailty in individuals aged 40–60 yrs and over 60 yrs, regardless of sex.
CONCLUSION
The daily consumption of most types of fruit, dark green vegetables, and tomatoes and tomato products may reduce the risk of frailty in American adults, particularly for individuals under 60 yrs of age and females.
