Objective:To investigate the clinical manifestations, endoscopic characteristics, and prognostic factors of patients with colorectal extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma. Methods:The clinical data of 52 patients with colorectal extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2013 to January 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. Their clinical manifestations and endoscopic characteristics were summarized, and the prognostic factors were analyzed by Cox regression model. Results:Among the 52 patients with colorectal extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma, there were 35 males and 17 females, with a male-to-female ratio of 2.06∶1. Among the general symptoms, abdominal pain was the most common (39 cases), and B symptoms occurred in 47 patients, among which fever was the most common lymphoma B symptom (42 cases), and gastrointestinal perforation was the most common complication (18 cases). Forty-three patients underwent colonoscopy, and the main manifestations under endoscopy were the ulceration type (24 cases). The ulcers were irregular at the edges and often covered with moss at the bottom. The median survival time was 4.3 months. Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that hemocytic syndrome ( HR=8.50,95% CI: 1.679-8.328, P=0.001), serum albumin ( HR=3.59,95% CI: 1.017-6.551, P=0.048), and with or without chemotherapy ( HR=0.31, 95% CI: 0.246-1.061, P=0.025) were independent factors influencing the overall survival of patients with colorectal extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma. Conclusions:Colorectal extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma is a rare disease with a very poor prognosis. When patients present with abdominal pain and lymphoma B symptoms, and when ulcers with irregular edges and moss covering the bottom are found under endoscopy, the disease should be considered, and endoscopic biopsy should be taken in time for pathological diagnosis. The prognosis of patients with hemophagocytic syndrome and hypoproteinemia is poor. This disease should be treated with chemotherapy and surgery, and on this basis, hemophagocytic syndrome and hypoproteinemia should be treated to improve the prognosis of patients.

Objective:To improve the understanding of indolent mantle cell lymphoma (MCL).Methods:The data of a patient with indolent leukemic MCL in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University in May 2013 were collected. The cell morphology was analyzed by using cell smear, the flow cytometry was used to make immunophenotype analysis, the karyotype analysis was performed by usig cytogenetic technique, and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was used to make the immunoglobulin gene analysis. At the same time, lymph node pathology and immunohistochemistry were also analyzed. The related articles published were reviewed to sum up the characteristics and the treatment of indolent MCL.Results:The male patient aged 60 years was obviously asymptomatic accompanied with slow disease progression, leukemic manifestation and without lymphadenopathy. He received pathological biopsy because of located lymphadenopathy in 2008. Small cell morphology, Kappa light chain immunophenotype, t(11;14) translocation showed after the cytogenetic examination, clonal immune globulin gene rearrangement and low Ki-67 positive index were identified. In situ MCL was diagnosed by retrospective pathology. Conclusions:Indolent MCL is extremely rare. It is typically asymptomatic with none or minimal nodal involvement, indolent disease course, leukemic phase with mild lymphocytosis, Kappa light chain expression, simple karyotype, classical or small cell morphology of tumor cells and the positive index of Ki-67 <10%. In situ MCL can be seen in pathology examination. IgVH gene mutation positive and SOX11 negative expression are notable in indolent MCL. International prognostic index of MCL is probably not appropriate in the prognostic analysis of leukemic indolent MCL. It is emphasized that initial observation and having therapies only after the disease progression can be suited for indolent MCL.

Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2017;30(2):165-168
Objective Clinically, the anterior cruciate ligament ( ACL) can be reconstructed by either ligament advanced reinforcement system ( LARS) artificial ligament or hamstring tendon autograft ( HTAG) . This study aims to compare the early clinical outcomes of LARS versus HTAG in the treatment of ACL. Methods This study included 38 cases of ACL injury treated in our de-partment from March 2012 to August 2014, 18 by LARS artificial ligament and the other 20 by HTAG. Before and at 18 months after surgery, we evaluated the clinical outcomes of the tow strategies using the Lysholm knee scoring scale and International Knee Documen-tation Committee ( IKDC) scoring systems, and conducted statistical analysis on the follow-up findings. Results Statistically signifi-cant differences were not observed preoperatively between the LARS and HTAG groups either in the Lyshrolm scores (46.78±1.52 vs 46.80 ±1.89, P>0.05) or in the IKDC scores (42.83±1.47 vs 42.20±1.61, P>0.05), nor at 18 months postoperatively in the Lyshrolm scores (93.52±3.19 vs 94.10±1.37, P>0.05) or the IKDC scores (92.11± 1.45 vs 93.15±1.76, P>0.05). However, both the LARS and HTAG groups showed significant differences in the Lyshrolm and IKDC scores at the baseline as compared with those at 18 months after oper-ation ( P<0.05) . Conclusion Both LARS artificial ligament ham-string tendon autograft can achieve good early clinical outcomes in ACL reconstruction.
