Objective To investigate disparities in health levels among populations across different regions of China and analyze the relationship between these disparities and regional, social, and economic factors, and to provide recommendations to promote health equity. Methods Based on the data from the Seventh National Population Census, this study employed spatial autocorrelation analysis and the spatial Durbin model to conduct spatial and temporal analyses of the health status of the national population from 2012 to 2021, focusing on the regional distribution of health levels and related influencing factors. Results 1. Regional disparities: The mortality rate in Gansu Province rose from 6.05‰ in 2012 to 8.26‰ in 2021, whereas the mortality rate in eastern provinces such as Hainan Province was relatively low in 2021 (5.39‰). 2. Spatial clustering: The spatial correlation of mortality rates was weak (Moran's I: 0.134-0.245), and the high mortality clusters showed a shift from southwest to northeast region. 3. Influencing factors: Economic conditions, education quality, urbanization levels, and healthcare resources significantly impacted population mortality rates. Conclusion The present study identifies pronounced regional disparities in population health, providing a scientific basis for formulating targeted healthcare policies. Additionally, this study highlights the critical importance of spatial analysis in understanding and addressing public health issues to advance health equity.

Objective To explore the mediating effect of health-promoting lifestyle on the relationship between health literacy and stigma among middle-aged and elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Methods A stratified random sampling method was used to select 415 patients with T2DM from three general hospitals in Weifang to conduct a questionnaire survey using the Disease Stigma Assessment Scale for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DSAS-2), the Health Literacy Scale, and the Type 2 Diabetes Health Promotion Scale (T2DHPS). Results Sickness stigma was negatively correlated with health literacy (r=-0.547, P<0.01) and negatively correlated with health promotion (r=-0.505, P<0.01), while health promotion was positively correlated with health literacy (r=0.398, P<0.01). Health-promoting lifestyle mediated the association between health literacy and stigma (β=0.0383, P<0.01), with the mediating effect accounting for 16.00% of the total effect. Conclusion Health literacy can influence the stigma of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus through health promotion lifestyle, suggesting that the stigma of patients with diabetes can be improved through health promotion lifestyle intervention.

Objective To analyze three-dimensional imaging characteristics and advantages for severe portal vein stenosis after liver transplantation, and to evaluate clinical efficacy of portal vein stent implantation. Methods Clinical data of 10 patients who received portal vein stent implantation for severe portal vein stenosis after liver transplantation were retrospectively analyzed. Imaging characteristics of severe portal vein stenosis, and advantages of three-dimensional reconstruction imaging and interventional treatment efficacy for severe portal vein stenosis were analyzed. Results Among 10 patients, 3 cases were diagnosed with centripetal stenosis, tortuosity angulation-induced stenosis in 2 cases, compression-induced stenosis in 2 cases, long-segment stenosis and/or vascular occlusion in 3 cases. Three-dimensional reconstruction images possessed advantages in accurate identification of stenosis, identification of stenosis types and measurement of stenosis length. All patients were successfully implanted with portal vein stents. After stent implantation, the diameter of the minimum diameter of portal vein was increased [(6.2±0.9) mm vs. (2.6±1.7) mm, P<0.05], the flow velocity at anastomotic site was decreased [(57±19) cm/s vs. (128±27) cm/s, P<0.05], and the flow velocity at the portal vein adjacent to the liver was increased [(41±6) cm/s vs. (18±6) cm/s, P<0.05]. One patient suffered from intrahepatic hematoma caused by interventional puncture, which was mitigated after conservative observation and treatment. The remaining patients did not experience relevant complications. Conclusions Three-dimensional visualization technique may visually display the location, characteristics and severity of stenosis, which is beneficial for clinicians to make treatment decisions and assist interventional procedures. Timely implantation of portal vein stent may effectively reverse pathological process and improve portal vein blood flow.

Objective:To explore the predictors and reasons for restenosis in patients with Takayasu′s arteritis(TA) involved renal artery after plain old balloon angioplasty(POBA).Methods:The clinical data of 47 TA patients (47) with renal artery admitted to Xuanwu Hospital, Capital Medical University from January 2014 to December 2020 were analyzed, including 12 man and 35 female. The age ranged from 21 to 43 years old, with an average of (28.52±10.78) years old. All patient were diagnosed as TA and underwent POBA. The patients were divided into restenosis group ( n=18) and non-restenosis group ( n=29). The patients were followed up at 1, 3, and 6 months after surgery, and after 6 months, the patients were followed up every 6 months. All patients were followed up from 36 to 108 months. The basic clinical data of the two groups were compared, and the length of stent and residual stenosis were also compared. Measurement data were expressed as ( ± s), and t-test was used for comparison between groups. Counting data were expressed as the number of cases and percentage, and comparison between groups was analyzed using the chi-square test. Multivariate Logistic regression model was used to analyze the independent risk factors of restenosis after balloon dilation, and the OR value and 95% confidence interval were calculated. Logistic regression model was used to analyze the independent risk factors for restenosis after balloon dilation. Results:All patients received POBA and operation was successfully. Restenosis was found in 18 patients, and 29 patients remained normal during the follow-up. The primary patency rate was 61.7%. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that HDL-C and lesion length were the influencing factors of restenosis after POBA in TA of renal artery. The serum HDL-C level was significantly lower and the lesion was significantly longer in restenosis group than in non-restenosis group ( P<0.05). The proportion of residual stenosis>20% was higher in restenosis group than in non-restenosis group ( P>0.05). Conclusion:Serum HDL-C level, lesion length may be may be independent influencing factors of restenosis after plain old balloon angioplasty in TA of the renal artery restenosis.

OBJECTIVE To study the pharmacological substance basis of Shaoyao gancao decoction for relieving acute and chronic pain. METHODS The antispasmodic effect of Shaoyao gancao decoction, ethyl acetate extract of Shaoyao gancao decoction and its effluent part of macroporous resin and 90% ethanol elution part of macroporous resin (the concentration of 4 drugs was 13.44 g/mL according to crude drug) was observed by in vitro small intestine tension test in rats. The acetic acid writhing test was conducted in mice to evaluate the analgesic effects of macroporous resin efflux site and macroporous resin 90% ethanol elution site (the dosage of 2.4 g/kg according to crude drug). The levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-1β (IL- 1β), prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) in serum of mice were detected. The serum prototype and metabolites of mice after intragastric administration of macroporous resin 90% ethanol elution site were identified by high performance liquid chromatogre-time-of-flight mass spectrometry. RESULTS In vitro experiment showed that 90% ethanol eluting part of macroporous resin represented the best antispasmodic effect, and the inhibitory rate of small intestine tension was significantly higher than macroporous resin efflux site of Shaoyao gancao decoction (P<0.05) without statistical significance, compared with Shaoyao gancao decoction (P>0.05). In the acetic acid writhing experiment, compared with model group, the writhing times of mice in the macroporous resin 90% ethanol elution part group were reduced significantly (P<0.05), the writhing latency was prolonged significantly (P<0.05), and the levels of COX-2, IL-1β, PGE2 and TNF-α in serum were decreased significantly (P<0.05). Ten kinds of protoproducts including paeoniflorin and glycyrrhizic acid were identified from serum of mice, and twenty-two kinds of metabolites including hydroxylated glycyrrhizin and glucosylated liquiritin were identified. CONCLUSIONS The effective part of Shaoyao gancao decoction for relieving acute and chronic pain is 90% ethanol elution part prepared by macroporous resin from the ethyl acetate extract. Ten components, including glycyrrhetinic acid and paeoniflorin, may be the basis of its pharmacological substances.

The study focused on individuals with influenza-like symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, and other respiratory symptoms) in three kindergartens in Tongzhou District, Beijing City, in April 2023. Nasopharyngeal swab specimens were collected, and real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR was used to detect common respiratory pathogens in the collected specimens. Positive specimens were subjected to sequencing analysis of the highly variable region of human respiratory syncytial virus (HRSV) G protein, homology analysis and phylogenetic tree analysis. A total of 25 fever cases were collected from 3 kindergartens, aged 3-8 years old, with an age M ( Q1, Q3) of 4 (3.5, 5) years old. Ten confirmed cases of HRSV positive were screened and detected using the fluorescent quantitative PCR method, with a total detection rate of 40% (10/25). Typing identification and sequencing analysis confirmed that the main epidemic type was HRSV subtype B, which was highly homologous and closely related to previous epidemic strains in the region. Through pathogen investigation and analysis, it was preliminarily determined that this epidemic was dominated by HRSV subtype B.
