Objective:
To investigate the status of latent tuberculosis infection(LTBI)among freshmen in middle schools and their willingness of preventive treatment in Yunyan District of Guiyang, so as to provide a reference for the prevention and control of tuberculosis in schools.
Methods:
The tuberculin skin test (TST) and X-ray scans were used to screen the TB infection of 13 915 freshmen in middle schools in Yunyan District of Guiyang in 2023, and a questionnaire survey on the willingness of accepting tuberculosis preventive treatment was conducted to LTBI patients. The χ 2 test and Fisher exact probability was conducted for the comparison of the rates among the groups.
Results:
Among the freshmen screened, the detection rate of LTBI was 3.29%. There were statistically significant difference in LTBI rates among freshmen of different genders (boys:2.87%, girls:3.81%), age groups (12-15 years old:3.31%, 16-17 years old:3.92%, 18-20 years old:1.91%), and school stages (junior high school:3.52%, ordinary high school:5.96%, vocational high school:2.29%)( χ 2=9.59, 13.08, 54.30, P <0.01). A total of 356 LTBI freshmen completed questionnaire survey, and 299(83.99%) were willing to accept tuberculosis preventive treatment, but the actual number of LIBI freshman who underwent preventive treatment was zero. Those LTBI who had received Bacille Calmette Guérin(BCG) vaccine(86.97%) was higher in the reporting rates of being willing to accept preventive treatment than that of LTBI who had not received BCG vaccine( 75.79 %),the differences were statistically significant( χ 2=6.48, P <0.05). The main reasons for refusing preventive treatment was worry about adverse drug reactions(80.70%), social acceptance and the support of social institutions were needed most(85.96%).
Conclusions
The LTBI rate among freshmen in Yunyan District of GuiYang is higher. Although the freshmen with LTBI have a higher willingness to accept preventive treatment, however, no one has undergone preventive treatment. Corresponding measures need to be taken for improving the preventive treatment rate of LIBI freshmen.

Sichuan Mental Health 2023;36(5):447-452
BackgroundNon-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) behavior poses a significant risk to the psychosomatic health of middle school students. However, the intrinsic mechanisms underlying the risk factors associated with NSSI behavior remain unclear. ObjectiveTo explore the relationship and underlying mechanism between depressive mood, impulsivity, and NSSI behavior in middle school students, and provide valuable insights for the prevention and intervention of NSSI behavior in this population. MethodsIn March 2021, 1 161 middle school students were recruited by cluster random sampling. They were assessed using Adolescent Non-Suicidal Self-Injury Assessment Questionnaire (ANSAQ), Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale (CES-D), and Barratt Impulsivity Scale (BIS-II). Spearman's correlation analysis was used to examine the correlation between depressive mood, impulsivity and NSSI behavior in middle school students. Moreover, the Process mediation effect analysis was adopted to test the mediating role of impulsivity between depressive mood and NSSI behavior. ResultsTotal of 122 people(10.51%) with NSSI behavior were detected. CES-D score was positively correlated with the total score of BIS-II and scores of all dimensions (r=0.340~0.556, P<0.01), and also were positively correlated with the total score of ANSAQ and scores of all dimensions (r=0.437~0.540, P<0.01). Additionally, the total score and dimension scores of BIS-II were positively correlated with the total score and dimension scores of ANSAQ (r=0.157~0.437, P<0.01). Impulsivity played a partial mediating role between depressive mood and NSSI behavior [indirect effect=0.035 (95% CI: 0.004~0.067, P<0.01), indirect effect accounted for 5.81% of the total effect]. ConclusionDepressive mood in middle school students has both a direct and indirect influence on NSSI behavior, partially mediated by impulsivity. Consequently, impulsivity plays a partial mediating role between depressive mood and NSSI behavior.[Funded by Humanities and Social Sciences Research Science Institute of Chongqing Municipal Education Commission (number, 23KSZ017)]

Chinese Journal of Radiological Health 2023;32(5):511-516
Objective To propose specific suggestions for exemption management of X-ray devices applying for exemption management. Methods The weight analysis of influence of shielding thickness and tube voltage on the radiation dose leakage of low-energy X-ray devices was carried out through test analysis, and the radiation status of 50 X-ray devices applied for end-user exemption in Shenzhen, China was investigated. Results There was no significant correlation between the ambient dose equivalent rate and the tube voltage and tube current of the X-ray device. The ambient dose equivalent rate of 50 X-ray devices was 0.16-1.20 μSv/h. Among them, 8 X-ray devices had radiation dose leakage, that is, the ambient dose equivalent rate was greater than 0.36 μSv/h; the ambient dose equivalent rate of one X-ray device was 1.2 μSv/h, exceeding exemption management requirements. Conclusion Applications for exemption management and filing of X-ray devices should be treated differently, and their own shielding effect and inherent safety have a greater impact on radiation safety, which should be focused on.

Chinese Journal of Pharmacology and Toxicology 2023;37(7):509-510
OBJECTIVE To investigate the role of PDE4 inhibition in astrocyte swelling caused by cerebral ischemic/reperfusion(I/R)injury and the molecular mech-anisms.METHODS SD rats were subjected to 2 h of focal cerebral ischemia induced by middle cerebral artery occlusion/reperfusion(MCAO/R).Roflumilast(Roflu)was intraperitoneally injected 2 h after MCAO.At 24 h after reperfusion,a high-resolution MRI was performed and using the wet-dry weighting method to measure the water content. The oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation(OGD/R)model was established in primary astrocytes for 2 h.After 24 h of reoxygenation,CellMask? plasma membrane stain was used to label the plasma membrane to calculate cell volume. The protein expressions insides astrocytes and penumbra were detected by Western blot-ting.To investigate the role of Akt/FoxO3a in mediating the effect of Roflu on the expression of AQP4.The astro-cytes were treated with an Akt inhibitor MK2206 before treatment with Roflu and the activation of Akt,the expres-sion of AQP4 and cell volume were determined as described above. In addition,an IL-1β-stimulated cell model was established in astrocytes, the expression of AQP4 and the activation of Akt/FoxO3a were detected by Western blotting. The change of AQP4 expression inside astrocytes and penumbra were visualized by immunofluo-rescence staining.RESULTS Roflu reduced MCAO/R-induced water contents, the expression of AQP4 and the phsophorylation of Akt and FoxO3a in the brains of MCAO/R rats.Inhibition of PDE4 decreased the cell volume and the expression of AQP4 in primary astro-cytes subjected to OGD/R.PDE4 inhibition activated Akt/FoxO3a,and inhibition of Akt by MK2206 blocked the protective effect of Roflu against OGD/R induced astro-cyte swelling.PDE4B knocking down reduced the expres-sion of AQP4,while PDE4B overexpression reversed the effect of PDE4B siRNA in astrocytes.Roflu exert-ed similar protective effect in IL-1β-cultured astrocytes, and importantly overexpression of FoxO3a remarkably increased the expression of AQP4 in IL-1β-stimulated astrocytes.CONCLUSION Our findings indicate that PDE4 inhibition limits I/R-induced brain edema and astro-cyte swelling via the Akt/FoxO3a/AQP4 pathway.PDE4 inhibition is a promising strategy for the treatment of brain edema after I/R injury.
