Objective To analyze the impact of different clinical and rehabilitation characteristics on the prognosis of diabetic foot amputees. Methods Related literatures were searched in CNKI,Wanfang Data,PubMed,Cochrane Library and Google Scholar from establishment to August,2024.The literatures were screened and extracted by two researchers independent-ly,the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale(NOS)and the evaluation criteria recommended by Agency for Healthcare Re-search and Quality(US)were used for quality evaluation, and literatures with above medium quality were includ-ed,and a systematic review was conducted. Results A total of 17 articles involving 9 239 subjects were included,in which three were Chinese, and 14 were English. The study designs were case-control study, cohort study and cross-sectional study. They mainly came from the fields of rehabilitation medicine, orthopedics, sports medicine and disability studies, and were published between 1998 to 2023.Clinical and rehabilitation characteristics related to the prognosis of diabetic foot amputees includ-ed amputation level, socioeconomic determinants(educational attainment, economic status, social participation, etc.),psychological states(anxiety, depression, etc.)and physiological factors(age, gender, pain, prosthetic limb usage, and ambulatory capacity,etc.).These different characteristics could affect the quality of life of diabetic foot amputees, and even lead to re-amputation or death. Conclusion Factors of amputation level, socioeconomic status, psychological status and physiological status are impor-tant for poor prognosis in diabetic foot amputees.Controlling the above factors can effectively reduce the re-am-putation rate and mortality, and improve the quality of life in diabetic foot amputees, thus improving their progno-sis,and promoting functional rehabilitation.

The non-randomized controlled study design was adopted. A total of 90 patients with knee osteoarthritis treated in Beijing Yuetan Community Health Service Center from September 2021 to August 2022 were enrolled in the study, including 45 patients received patellar loosening and then the quadriceps femoris pain point release (successive group) and remaining 45 patients received two manipulations simultaneously (simultaneous group). Patients were treated 3 times in a week, and each time received 5 groups of manipulation. The Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and Lysholm scores were measured before treatment, immediately after treatment and 3 months after treatment. There was no exfoliation and no adverse events in both groups. There were no significant differences in VAS and Lysholm scores between the two groups before treatment ( P>0.05). Immediately after treatment, the VAS pain score in the simultaneous group was lower than that in the successive group ((3.36±1.12) vs.(2.24±0.93), P<0.01), while the Lysholm score in the simultaneous group was higher than that in the successive group ((89.76±6.61) vs.(74.07±16.80), P<0.01); the proportion of VAS score as“painless/mild pain”(88.9% (40/45) vs.64.4% (29/45), P<0.01) and Lysholm score as “excellent/good”(91.1% (41/45) vs. 44.4% (20/45), P<0.01) in the simultaneous group was significantly higher than that in the successive groups. At 3 months after treatment, there were still significant differences in VAS and Lysholm scores between the two groups. The simultaneous manipulations of patellar loosening and quadriceps femoris pain point release can better relieve the pain of patients with knee osteoarthritis.

Objective:To investigate the clinical characteristics and management status of children with Turner syndrome (TS) in China. Methods:As a cross-sectional study, 1 089 TS patients were included in the database of the National Collaborative Alliance for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Turner Syndrome from August 2019 to November 2023. Clinical characteristics (growth development, sexual development, organ anomalies, etc.), karyotypes, auxiliary examinations, and treatments were collected and analyzed. Results:Among the 1 089 TS cases, 809 were recorded karyotypes. The karyotype distribution was as follows: 45, X in 317 cases (39.2%), X chromosome structural variants (including partial deletions of p or q arm, ring chromosome, and marker chromosome) in 89 cases (11.0%), 45, X/46, XX mosaicism in 158 cases (19.5%), mosaicism with X chromosome structural variants in 209 cases (25.8%), and presence of Y chromosome material in 36 cases (4.4%). Among the 824 TS cases, the age of diagnosis was 9.7(6.4, 12.2) years, with a height standard deviation score (HtSDS) of -3.1±1.2. Five hundred and fifty three cases underwent growth hormone (GH) stimulation test, and 352 cases (63.7%) had GH peak values <10 μg/L and 75.9% (577/760) had low IGF1 levels, with IGF1 SDS ≤-2 accounting for 38.2% (290 cases). Among 471 cases aged ≥8 years, 132 cases (28.0%) showed spontaneous sexual development (mean bone age (11.0±1.7) years), 10 cases had spontaneous menarche (mean bone age (12.0±2.2) years), and 2 cases had regular menstrual cycles. Common physical features included cubitus valgus (311 cases (28.5%)), neck webbing (188 cases (17.2%)), low posterior hairline (185 cases (17.0%)), shield chest (153 cases (14.0%)), high arched palate (127 cases (11.6%)), short fourth metacarpal (43 cases (3.9%)), and spinal abnormalities (38 cases (3.5%)). Congenital cardiovascular and urogenital anomalies occurred in 91 cases (19.4%) and 66 cases (12.0%)respectively. Abdominal ultrasound in 33 cases (7.2%) indicated fatty liver, hepatomegaly, intrahepatic bile duct stones, and splenomegaly. Among 23 cases undergoing oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) test, 2 were diagnosed with diabetes mellitus and 4 with impaired glucose tolerance. Following diagnosis, 669 cases (80.7%) received rhGH treatment at a chronological age of (9±4) years and bone age of (8.3±3.2) years. Additionally, 112 cases (19.4%) received sex hormone replacement therapy starting at the age of (14±4) years and bone age of (12.6±1.2) years. Conclusions:The karyotypes of 45, X and mosaicism were most common in Chinese children with TS. The clinical manifestations were mainly short stature and gonadal dysplasia. However, a few TS children could be in the normal range of height, and some cases among those aged of ≥8 years old had spontaneous sexual development. Some exhibited physical features, congenital cardiovascular and urogenital anomalies, and dysfunction of the hypothalamic-pituitary-IGF1 axis. Moreover, a few of them developed impaired glucose tolerance and diabetes mellitus. Following diagnosis, most of the patients received rhGH treatment, and a few of them received sex hormone replacement therapy.

Viruses, the smallest microorganisms, continue to present an escalating threat to human health, being the leading cause of mortality worldwide. Over the decades, although significant progress has been made in the development of therapies and vaccines against viral diseases, the need for effective antiviral interventions remains urgent. This urgency stems from the lack of effective vaccines, the severe side effects associated with current drugs, and the emergence of drug-resistant viral strains. Natural plants, particularly traditionally-used herbs, are often considered an excellent source of medicinal drugs with potent antiviral efficacy, as well as a substantial safety profile. Scutellaria baicalensis, a traditional Chinese medicine, has garnered considerable attention due to its extensive investigation across diverse therapeutic areas and its demonstrated efficacy in both preclinical and clinical trials. In this review, we mainly focused on the potential antiviral activities of ingredients in Scutellaria baicalensis, shedding light on their underlying mechanisms of action and therapeutic applications in the treatment of viral infections.

ObjectiveTo systematically analyze the typical mental health conditions and psychological disorders of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), to construct a mental health service system and psychological interventions to these mental health conditions of children with IDD . MethodsBased on the framework of the World Health Organization Family International Classifications (WHO-FICs), the mental health conditions and related functioning were analyzed, and the mental health service framework and proposed mental health interventions were constructed. There were six main categories of mental health conditions for children with IDDConclusionThis study systematically analyzed the typical mental health status and related psychological functional impairments of children with IDD. Based on the World Health Organization health service system, a mental health service framework for children with IDD was constructed. Referring to the WHO's continuum of health services, a system of psychological intervention methods for children with IDD was established. Furthermore, the WHO-FICs were used to describe and code the functions of children with IDD, and the ICHI-β3 was applied to code and analyze the related psychological interventions. Resultsmood disorders (anxiety and depression), behavioral disorders (disruptive disorders and challenging behaviors, aggressive behaviors), traumatic disorders (post-traumatic stress disorder), mental disorders (schizophrenia), suicide and self-harm, and learning disabilities (developmental learning disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). Mental health services for children with IDD involved in six dimensions: leadership and governance, fundraising, human resources, service delivery, mental health technologies, and information and research. Mental health services went through the continuum of health services from prevention, treatment, rehabilitation to health promotion. We delivered mental health services for children with IDD in three aspects: identifying and diagnosing mental health problems or conditions, analyzing the main factors caused mental health problems, and analyzing the environmental factors. Mental health service interventions mainly covered five categories: antidepressants, psychotherapy, stress management training, physical exercise training, healthy lifestyle education, consultation and support. Children with IDD may obtain the mental health services in hospitals, rehabilitation institutions, community and school settings.
