Objective:This study aimed to explore the status of radiological Kashin-Beck disease (KBD) among school-aged children in Chamdo City, Tibet, through a 3-year monitoring survey, providing epidemiological evidence for prevention and control strategies. Methods:The target areas for this study were Luolong, Bianba, and Basu counties in Chamdo City, Tibet Autonomous Region, identified as having the most severe historical cases of KBD. Children aged 7-12 years attending school were enrolled as study subjects. Anteroposterior X-ray films of the right-hand were taken, and radiological diagnoses were made based on the "Diagnosis of Kashin-Beck Disease" criteria (WS/T 207-2010). Two experienced researchers independently reviewed the X-rays, and intra- and inter-group consistency were assessed using weighted Kappa values and percentage agreement. Cross-sectional surveys were conducted in 2017 and 2020 to describe the X-ray detection rates of KBD, and logistic regression analysis was employed to construct a predictive model of risk factors for radiological KBD cases. Results:In 2017, a total of 5,711 children aged 7-12 years in Chamdo City, Tibet, participated in the baseline cross-sectional survey (average age 9.2 years, 48.0% female), with 28 cases of radiological KBD. The age- and gender-standardized prevalence rate was 0.527%. In 2020, 6,771 participants (average age 9.3 years, 49.5% female) underwent a second cross-sectional survey, with 9 cases of radiological KBD and a standardized prevalence rate of 0.134%. Logistic regression analysis indicated that older age [ OR=2.439, 95% CI(1.299, 4.580), P=0.006] and female gender [ OR=8.157, 95% CI(1.016, 65.528), P=0.048] were independent risk factors for radiological KBD cases. Conversely, higher residential altitude, under the premise of Tibet's high altitude, was a protective factor [ OR=0.995, 95% CI(0.990, 0.999), P=0.032). Conclusion:The radiographically positive detection rate of KBD among school-aged children in Chamdo City, Tibet Autonomous Region, is at an extremely low level and showing a declining trend, reaching the historical standard in 2020. Considering the absence of positive signs in affected children, it suggests that local KBD has been effectively eliminated.

Objective To identify occupational hazard factors and determine the critical control points in a cigarette factory, to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of prevention and control measures, and to put forward suggestions. Methods The occupational health survey combined with field detection was used to identify and analyze the occupational hazards in the workplace of a cigarette factory in Shandong Province. Results The occupational hazard factors in the cigarette factory were tobacco dust, other dusts, phosphine, methane, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, chlorine, high temperature, power frequency electric field and noise. Except noise, other occupational hazard factors were within occupational exposure limits. The detection results of noise were 76.7~88.9 dB(A),and the over standard rate was 24%. Conclusion The protective facilities and measures to control the level of dust and chemical poisons in the cigarette factory are feasible and effective. As the key control points of noise, it is necessary to further improve and optimize the anti-noise facilities and measures according to the key control points of occupational hazard factors to strengthen personal protection and prevent the occurrence of occupational diseases.

[18F]6-fluoro-3, 4-dihydroxy-L-phenylalanine([18F]F-DOPA)has been used as a radiotracer for Parkinson′s disease over 30 years. The previously reported electrophilic synthesis method has low radiochemical yield(RCY), low specific activity(SA)and other defects. Recent reported nucleophilic synthesis of [18F]F-DOPA could overcome the disadvantages. In this paper, the nucleophilic synthetic methods for [18F]F-DOPA are reviewed.

Objective To investigate the effect of ultrasound debridement combined with vacuum sealing drainage on the treatment of diabetic foot ulcer and the potential mechanism. Methods Eighty-one patients with diabetic ulcer were randomly divided into two groups:ultrasound debridement combined with vacuum sealing drain-age as the experimental group, routine debridement combined with vacuum sealing drainage as the control group. The clinical curative effect, the reduction rate of the wound, the rate of blastocyst and the rate of bacterial clear-ance and blood flow were detected. Results The clinical curative effect in the experimental group was significantly better than that in the control group(P < 0.05). The rates of wound reduction and granulation were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After 14-day treatment, the blood perfusion in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the expression of HIF-1α and VEGF in the ulcer tissue was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Ultrasound de-bridement combined with vacuum sealing drainage can improve the clinical efficacy, wound reduction rate,granu-lation coverage rate and bacterial clearance rate, and increase ulcer tissue blood flow. The potential mechanism is related with the increases of HIF-1α and VEGF in ulcer tissue.

The reversible phosphorylation plays an important regulatory role in various pathological and physiological processes. Src Homology 2 domain containing protein tyrosine phosphatase (SHP2),a featured member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase family,is identified as the first PTP proto-oncogene. SHP2 is associated with breast cancer, leukemia, lung cancer, liver cancer, gastric cancer, laryngeal cancer, oral cancer and other types of cancer. Signalling pathways involving SHP2 have also been discovered. It has been recently reported that the high expression of SHP2 in lung cancer regulates cancer cell proliferation, metastasis and drug resistance. SHP2 may be a potential thera?peutic target because it is implicated in many diseases. This article focuses on the research progress in functions of SHP2 in lung cancer.

Asthma is a phenotypically heterogeneous chronic disease of the airways. Studies have found that neutrophils are crucial to airway inflammation in acute asthma, persistent asthma, particularly in asthma of poor response to glucocorticoid treatment. The role of neutrophils in development of bronchial asthma is complex, as they can release a potent source of cytokines and inflammatory mediators participating in asthma. Differing from eosinophilic inflammatory asthma, neutrophilic inflammatory asthma is not depend on helper T (Th)2 cells, but may be related to Th1 and Th17 cells. This review highlights the role of neutrophils in the development of asthma, and the treatment of neutrophilic asthma with biological agents and novel small molecules.

In order to improve the accuracy of blood pressure measurement in wearable devices, this paper presents a method for detecting blood pressure based on multiple parameters of pulse wave. Based on regression analysis between blood pressure and the characteristic parameters of pulse wave, such as the pulse wave transit time (PWTT), cardiac output, coefficient of pulse wave, the average slope of the ascending branch, heart rate, etc. we established a model to calculate blood pressure. For overcoming the application deficiencies caused by measuring ECG in wearable device, such as replacing electrodes and ECG lead sets which are not convenient, we calculated the PWTT with heart sound as reference (PWTT(PCG)). We experimentally verified the detection of blood pressure based on PWTT(PCG) and based on multiple parameters of pulse wave. The experiment results showed that it was feasible to calculate the PWTT from PWTT(PCG). The mean measurement error of the systolic and diastolic blood pressure calculated by the model based on multiple parameters of pulse wave is 1.62 mm Hg and 1.12 mm Hg, increased by 57% and 53% compared to those of the model based on simple parameter. This method has more measurement accuracy.

Objective To investigate the method for effective establishment of nude rat tumor xenograft model of human lung cancer cells A549 in order to provide the experimental basis for tumor-related interventional research in vivo. Methods A549 cell lines were subcutaneously transplanted in nude rats, then single-cell suspension or tumor tissue block were prepared when the tumor lesion was established. The single-cell suspension and tumor tissue block were transplanted into subcutaneous tissue behind ear in rats. The tumor formation rate, growth situation and cell cycle of primary xenograft tumor group, the secondary single-cell suspension group and the secondary tumor block group were evaluated. The results were analyzed. Results The tumor formation rate of the secondary tumor block group was significantly higher than that of the other two groups. The tumor cells quickly proliferated with less tumor variation. Tumor cell cycle analysis indicated that G2/M ratio of the secondary tumor block group was remarkably higher than that of the other two groups. Conclusion Transplantation with tumor tissue block can significantly increase the tumor formation rate of human lung cancer cells A549 in experimental rats. This technique is an effective method for the establishment of nude rat tumor xenograft model.

Objective To compare the inhibiting effect on human lung adenocarcinoma who were treated with gem?citabine combined with cisplatin chemotherapy through either arterial or intravenous route to explore the optimum adminis?tration route. Methods Human lung adenocarcinoma derived A549 cells were transplanted into 40 BALB/c-nu mice to es?tablish lung cancer model. The models were divided into 4 groups:animals in arterial or intravenous chemotherapy groups were treated with gemcitabine 150 mg/kg combined with cisplatin 10 mg/kg through either arterial route or intravenous route. Animals in negative control group were given normal saline through caudal vein while animals in sham operation group were treated with normal saline via arterial route. Then dynamical change of tumor volume and tumor inhibiting rate were assessed , and Bcl-2 and Caspase 3 expressions were investigated using western blot. Finally inhibiting effect were compared between these two different administration routes. Results Transplanted tumors in arterial and intravenous che?motherapy groups (especially in arterial group) were suppressed, in terms of mass of tumor(g:1.91±0.19, 2.61±0.21 vs 4.58± 0.46), compared to the control group (P<0.05). Furthermore, tumor inhibiting rates in arterial chemotherapy group and ve?nous chemotherapy group are 57.6%and 42.4%respectively (P<0.05). Expression of Bcl-2 was down regulated while ex?pression of Caspase-3 was up regulated upon both arterial and intravenous chemotherapy. And arterial route showed much more obvious tumor apoptosis effect than venous route. Conclusion Arterial route of gemcitabine combined with cisplatin for lung adenocarcinoma treatment is more effective to restrain the tumor growth in clinical application.
