Objective The dense fibrous connective tissue that connects sub-occipital muscles which consist of the rectus capitis posterior minor muscle (RCPmi), rectus capitis posterior major muscle (RCPma), obliquus capitis inferior muscle (OCI) and nuchal ligament (NL) to the spinal dura mater (SDM), is described as the myodural bridge (MDB) in humans. The MDB is perceived as an essential anatomical structure and has been a subject of interest for clinicians. Studies have revealed that MDB may be related to the dynamic circulation of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and a chronic cervicogenic headache. To date, the MDB is identified as a universal, existing structure in mammals and it exists in other vertebrates as well, such as Gallus domesticus and Rock pigeons in Avifauna, Siamese crocodile and Trachemys scripta elegans in Reptile. The current study is to further analyze different structures features of the MDB in sundry classes and provide the anatomical basis for functional studies. The JapaLura Splendida is the most common species in Lacertiformes, Reptilia. So we chose it as the experimental object to supply the morphological study of the MDB in Reptilia. Methods The study was based on gross anatomical dissection, thick sheet section, histological staining to observe the structural characteristics of the post-occipital area of twenty JapaLura Splendidas and the existence of the MDB. Results The deep post-occipital muscles were composed of the rectus capitis dorsal muscle (RCD) and the obliquus capital posterior (OCP) muscle. The RCD was merged by the rectus capitis dorsal major muscle (RCDma), the rectus capitis dorsal minor muscle (RCDmi) and the obliquus capitis anterior muscle (OCA). In the atlanto-occipital space, the dense fibrous bundles were found to originate from the ventral aspect of the RCD and run ventral, closely inserting into the SDM. In the atlanto-axial space, the dense fibrous bundles were found to originate from the ventral aspect of the OCP and run ventral, closely contacted with the SDM. These dense fibrous bundles were the collagen type I fibers with strong double refraction. Conclusion The result of this study indicates that the MDB is located between the post-occipital muscles and the SDM in JapaLura Splendida. The MDB of Japalura splendida may be related to the activities of the head and neck, and exert a physiological function similar to the MDB in humans.

Background and Objectives:
Chronic periodontitis can lead to alveolar bone resorption and eventually tooth loss. Stem cells from exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHED) are appropriate bone regeneration seed cells. To track the survival, migration, and differentiation of the transplanted SHED, we used super paramagnetic iron oxide particles (SPIO) Molday ION Rhodamine-B (MIRB) to label and monitor the transplanted cells while repairing periodontal bone defects.
Methods:
and Results: We determined an appropriate dose of MIRB for labeling SHED by examining the growth and osteogenic differentiation of labeled SHED. Finally, SHED was labeled with 25 μg Fe/ml MIRB before being transplanted into rats. Magnetic resonance imaging was used to track SHED survival and migration in vivo due to a low-intensity signal artifact caused by MIRB. HE and immunohistochemical analyses revealed that both MIRB-labeled and unlabeled SHED could promote periodontal bone regeneration. The colocalization of hNUC and MIRB demonstrated that SHED transplanted into rats could survive in vivo. Furthermore, some MIRB-positive cells expressed the osteoblast and osteocyte markers OCN and DMP1, respectively. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay revealed that SHED could secrete protein factors, such as IGF-1, OCN, ALP, IL-4, VEGF, and bFGF, which promote bone regeneration. Immunofluorescence staining revealed that the transplanted SHED was surrounded by a large number of host-derived Runx2- and Col II-positive cells that played important roles in the bone healing process.
Conclusions
SHED could promote periodontal bone regeneration in rats, and the survival of SHED could be tracked in vivo by labeling them with MIRB. SHED are likely to promote bone healing through both direct differentiation and paracrine mechanisms.

Journal of Prevention and Treatment for Stomatological Diseases 2023;31(8):559-566
Objective :
To investigate the clinical efficacy and application value of an improved 3D-printed guide plate for the treatment of primary trigeminal neuralgia (PTN) by percutaneous microballoon compression (PMC).
Methods :
This prospective study included 42 patients with primary trigeminal neuralgia treated at the Department of Stomatology, Xuzhou Central Hospital, from September 2019 to January 2022. The group was divided by the random number table method into the experimental group (adopting 3D printing technology to make guide plates to guide the puncture, 22 cases) and the control group (adopting the traditional Hartel anterior approach to position the puncture, 20 cases). The intraoperative success rate of the first puncture, puncture time, operative time, radiation exposure of patients and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Postoperative Barrow Neurological Institute Scale (BNI) scores, facial numbness, diminished corneal reflexes and chewing weakness were recorded. The t-test, rank-sum test and chi-square test were used for statistical analysis, with P<0.05 indicating a statistically significant difference.
Results :
The experimental group was significantly better than the control group in terms of the success rate of the first puncture (χ2 = 21.51, P<0.001), puncture time (Z = -5.51, P<0.001), operative time (t = 9.37, P<0.001), and the number of C-arm scans (Z = -4.59, P<0.001). Postoperative BNI scores of the experimental group included 21 cases of grade Ⅰ (91.5%) and 1 case of grade Ⅱ, while the control group included 17 cases of grade Ⅰ (85.0%), 2 cases of grade Ⅱ (10.0%) and 1 case of grade Ⅲ (5.0%), with no statistical significance (P>0.05). In the experimental group, 16 patients had postoperative masseter weakness, 1 had keratitis and 10 had perilabial herpes, while in the control group, 18 patients had postoperative masseter weakness, 2 had keratitis, 11 had perilabial herpes and 1 had monocular blindness. There was no significant difference in postoperative complications between the two groups (P>0.05). At 12 months of follow-up, there was no recurrence in either the experimental or control group.
Conclusions
3D digital guide plate-guided percutaneous microballoon compression for primary trigeminal neuralgia can improve the accuracy and safety of puncture to a certain extent, obviously shorten the operation time, reduce radiation exposure of the patients, improve the success rate of the operation, meaning it has a high clinical application value.

Network Meta-analysis was conducted to compare the efficacy and safety of different Chinese medicine injections combined with conventional therapy in the treatment of stroke-associated pneumonia. CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, PubMed, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library were searched for the relevant literature pubslished from inception to April 1, 2022. Stata 17 was used for data analysis. After screening of 1 189 papers, 72 studies were finally selected, which involved 5 819 patients and 6 Chinese medicine injections(Tanreqing Injection, Xingnaojing Injection, Xuebijing Injection, Xiyanping Injection, Shenfu Injection, and Shenmai Injection). The network Meta-analysis ranked the injections as follows.(1) In terms of improving the total clinical effective rate, the surface under the cumulative ranking curve(SUCRA) followed the order of Xiyanping Injection + conventional therapy > Xuebijing Injection + conventional therapy > Tanreqing Injection + conventional therapy > Shenmai Injection + conventional therapy > Xingnaojing Injection + conventional therapy > Shenfu Injection + conventional therapy > conventional therapy.(2) In terms of recovering the National Institute of Health stroke scale(NIHSS) scores, the SUCRA followed the order of Xuebijing Injection + conventional therapy > Xingnaojing Injection + conventional therapy > Tanreqing Injection + conventional therapy > Shenfu Injection + conventional therapy > conventional therapy.(3) In reducing the average time to abatement of fever, the SUCRA followed the order of Xiyanping Injection + conventional therapy > Tanreqing Injection + conventional therapy > Xuebijing Injection + conventional therapy > conventional therapy.(4) In terms of reducing the mean hospital stay, the SUCRA followed the order of Xiyanping Injection + conventional therapy > Xubijing Injection + conventional therapy > Tanreqing Injection + conventional therapy > Shenmai Injection + conventional therapy > conventional therapy. The clinical efficacy of Tanreqing Injection, Xuebijing Injection, Xiyanping Injection, Xingnaojing Injection, Shenmai Injection, or Shenfu Injection combined with conventional therapy was superior to that of conventional therapy alone. However, due to the limitations of the quality and methodology of different intervention measures, this conclusion needs to be verified by more high-quality and rigorously designed randomized controlled trial.

Objective: To investigate the willingness to use three types of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and its associated factors among MSM in Chengdu. Methods: A total of 793 MSM were recruited through Chengdu Tongle Health Consultation Service Centre between November 2021 to January 2022. Data were collected, including demographic characteristics, sexual behaviors in the last six months, PrEP-related stigma, HIV anticipated stigma, MSM internalized stigma, and willingness to use three types of PrEP. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression models were conducted to investigate the associated factors of willingness in using the three types of PrEP. Results: Among 793 participants, willingness to take on-demand PrEP was higher (68.3%). Higher education and multiple sexual partners increased the willingness to use oral PrEP, higher education [compared with junior high school or below, high school or technical secondary school (aOR=2.43, 95%CI: 1.13-5.21), junior college (aOR=2.67, 95%CI: 1.27-5.61), bachelor degree (aOR=3.21, 95%CI: 1.52-6.74), master degree or above (aOR=3.77, 95%CI: 1.54-9.26)], multiple sexual partners (aOR=1.54, 95%CI: 1.12-2.11) were positively associated with daily oral PrEP. HIV anticipated stigma was positively associated with the willingness in using all three types of PrEP: daily oral PrEP (aOR=1.07, 95%CI: 1.02-1.12), on-demand PrEP (aOR=1.09, 95%CI: 1.03-1.15), and injectable PrEP every 8 week (aOR=1.06, 95%CI: 1.01-1.11). Conclusions: The overall willingness in using PrEP in MSM in Chengdu is relatively high, and the promotion of PrEP is highly feasible. In the future, we should continue to promote publicity and education on HIV and PrEP-related knowledge in this population, improve the cognitive level, and guide MSM to establish the correct motivation for PrEP use.

BACKGROUND:
Nucleolar protein 6 (NOL6) is a nucleolar RNA-associated protein that is highly conserved between species. It has been proved to be associated with the prognosis of liver cancer. However, the underlying mechanism has not been fully established. This study aimed to assess the relationship between NOL6 and liver cancer prognosis.
METHODS:
We constructed an NOL6-short hairpin RNA (shRNA)-expressing lentivirus. Through viral transfection, cell growth assay and fluorescence-activated cell sorting, we evaluated the effect of shRNA-mediated NOL6 knockdown on the proliferation, colony formation, and apoptosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells. The relationship between NOL6 expression and HCC patient survival has been established through bioinformatics analysis. We also explored the downstream molecular regulatory network of NOL6 in HCC by performing an Ingenuity Pathway Analysis in the database.
RESULTS:
Increased NOL6 expression was detected in HCC cells compared to normal controls; HCC patients with high NOL6 expression had poorer prognoses than those with low expression. NOL6 knockdown inhibited HCC cell proliferation, apoptosis, and colony formation. Also, MAPK8, CEBPA, and FOSL1 were selected as potential downstream genes of NOL6.
CONCLUSIONS
NOL6 up-regulates HCC cell proliferation and affects downstream expression of related genes. Moreover, NOL6 is considered to be associated with poor prognosis in HCC patients.

We studied the disinfection effect of a new ultraviolet (UV) sterilizer and its utilization on ultrasound probe surfaces. Carrier quantitative germicidal tests, simulated on-the-spot trials, and organic substance influence tests were used to carry out experimental observation. Artificially infected probes were disinfected using the sterilizer or a germicidal lamp for comparison. The total number and types of bacteria were determined and identified. Our results demonstrated the sterilizer had the best disinfection effect among three different disinfection methods in hospital. The sterilizer has been used in a hospital setting for 2 years with no notable damage to the ultrasound probe instrument. It has the advantages of fast disinfection, high disinfection effect, and good compatibility with the ultrasound instrument, worthy of being a promoted application in medical institutions.

Objective: To describe the incidence, clinical characteristics, therapy strategy and outcomes of spontaneous coronary artery dissection based on single-center experience in China. Methods:We performed retrospective case-identification study in 16 526 patients underwent coronary angiography in Zhongshan Hospital of Fudan University between March 2015 to December 2016,and identified 17 patients with spontaneous coronary artery dissection.Risk factors, clinical features, angiographic features, therapy strategy, and clinical outcomes were analyzed. Results:The incidence of SCAD was 17 of 16 526(1.03/1 000).The mean age was(49.06 ± 10.73)years old(range:26-67 years old).In these 17 cases,4 cases were males, and others were females.Females constituted 13 of 17(76.5%).All SCAD patients presented with acute coronary syndrome, including 10 patients with acute ST-elevated myocardial infarction,3 patients with acute non-ST-elevated myocardial infarction and 4 patients with unstable angina.Twenty dissection sites were identified in 17 SCAD patients. Dissection was predominantly located at the left descending artery(50%)and the right coronary artery(35%).All lesions fell into three types:type Ⅰ(n=5),type Ⅱ A(n= 7),type ⅡB(n= 6),and type Ⅲ(n= 2).The TIMI flow in the distal segment of the coronary dissection was classified as follows:class 0(n=4),class 1(n=2),class 3(n=14).Conservative medical treatment was adopted by 7 of 17(41.1%)patients,and percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty(PTCA)in 1 of 17(5.9%)patients.No recurrent angina and other cardiovascular events was observed during clinical follow up. Percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)was performed in 9 of 17(52.9%)patients,and the mean number of deployed stent was(2.44 ± 1.13).Intramural hematoma was extended during PCI in 5 of 9(55.6%)patients,resulting in new-onset nonfatal myocardial infarction in one patient and cardiac death in another patient. Conclusions:SCAD should be considered in young and middle-aged female patients presented with acute coronary syndrome, especially in those with few coronary risk factors. Interventional cardiologist should be familiar with the angiographic characteristics of SCAD,and turn to intravascular ultrasound if necessary.Conservative treatment should be the first choice in most patients with SCAD,while PCI intervention could be considered in high risk patients.Be caution to prevent interventional complications such as dissection expansion in the patients with high-risk.

Chinese Journal of Modern Nursing 2018;24(4):383-388
Objective To explore the subjective sleep quality and mental resilience in colorectal cancer patients during the treatment period. Methods A total of 72 colorectal cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy from May to September 2016 in First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University were selected by convenience sampling method. Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) and Conner-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) were applied to investigate patients' sleep quality and mental resilience before discharge, and at the 1st month, 3rd month and 6th month of the chemotherapy. Single factor repeated measurement analysis of variance was applied to compare the difference between sleep quality score and mental resilience score, and Pearson correlation coefficient was used to analyze the correlation between them. Results The PSQI scores at the 4 follow-up time points were (9.43±4.26), (9.02±3.68), (7.58±4.01) and (6.16±3.22), and the difference was statistically significant (F=9.861,P<0.05). The CD-RISC scores at the 4 follow-up time points were (60.13±15.80), (66.56±16.17), (69.82±17.46) and (73.03±17.85), and the difference was statistically significant (F=7.681,P<0.05). The difference of PSQI scores of patients in different age groups was statistically significant (F=2.792,P< 0.05), and the differences of CD-RISC in patients with different education degree and in different cancer stages were statistically significant (F=3.321,3.534;P<0.05). There were a negative correlations between sleep quality and mental resilience at the each time point (r=-0.32--0.53;P<0.05). The CD-RISC score of the patients with early stage sleep disturbances was lower than that of non-sleep disturbances patients at each time point (P< 0.05). Conclusions Health professionals should pay close attention to the sleep status of colorectal cancer patients at the early stage of treatment, and take appropriate interventions to improve the quality of life and resilience development.
