Myelodysplastic syndrome(MDS)is a malignant clonal disease with high heterogeneity in cytogenetics and molecular genetics, and the risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia(AML)is extremely high.Transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β)is closely related to the pathogenesis of MDS.It is a key executor of immune homeostasis and immune tolerance, and can inhibit the expansion and function of many components of immune system.TGF-β signaling pathway can regulate hematopoietic cells and immune cells in microenvironment, inhibit their normal biological functions, and thus accelerate the progression of MDS.This study reviews regulatory effects of TGF-β signaling pathway on MDS blood cells,T lymphocytes, natural killer cells and macrophages in recent years, and provides a new perspective for the pathogenesis and treatment of MDS.

In recent years, with the change in lifestyle and social environment and the increase in pressure in both life and work, male fertility has decreased significantly in China, and the incidence of male infertility has increased year by year, which has brought great challenges to andrologists. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has a definite curative effect in the treatment of male infertility and is widely applied in clinical practice. In order to clarify the role of TCM in different types and each stage of male infertility, the China Association of Chinese Medicine (CACM) invited outstanding young andrologists in the clinic of TCM and western medicine to discuss topics such as idiopathic oligospermia and teratospermia, abnormal semen liquefaction, varicocele, immune infertility, improving success ratio of assisted reproductive technology, and ameliorating depression or anxiety. They conducted in-depth discussions on the advantages, characteristics, disadvantages, diseases responding specifically, and advantageous aspects of TCM treatment. The causes of male infertility and related links of treatment were summarized. Due to the unclear etiology and complex pathogenesis of male infertility, western medicine cannot achieve a good curative effect, while TCM,taking the holistic view as the core, specializes in improving functional diseases and can correspond to multiple targets and factors, with comprehensive treatments such as internal treatment and external treatment. This study summarized the advantageous diseases and advantageous stages of TCM treatment alone and integrated TCM and western medicine treatment and put forward suggestions for the treatment of the diseases by TCM and western medicine in order to promote the therapeutic effects and advantages of TCM among andrologists, increase mutual learning and communication between TCM and western physicians, provide patients with excellent and personalized treatment plans in clinical practice, and improve the curative effect of male infertility and fertility of males in China.

Objective: To observe the changes of endothelial-dependent vasodilatation and cyclophilin A (CyPA) expression at different phases of atherosclerosis in experimental rats. Methods: A total of 30 male Wistar rats were divided into 4 groups: Control group, the rats received normal diet, and 3 atherosclerosis groups, the rats received high cholesterol diet for different period of time and a single dose intraperitoneal injection of Vitamin D3 at 600,000 IU/kg, as Atherosclerosis at 8 weeks (AS 8W) group, AS 12W group and AS 15W group, n=8 in each AS group. The rats were sacriifced at the same time to isolate aorta abdominalis. The expression of CyPA at the wall of aorta abdominalis was detected by HE staining and immunohistochemistry. In addition, the aorta abdominalises was cut into 5 mm rings to observe its response to acethylcholine in exvivo organ bath. Results: With prolonged modeling time, the rats at different groups presented normal vessel structure, endothelial cell damage, vessel smooth muscle cell proliferation, atherosclerosis plaque formation and calciifed plaque formation for differentpathological characteristics. The endothelial-dependent vasodilatation was decreased and the maximum vasodilatation percentage in Control group, AS 8W group, AS 12W group and AS 15W group were at (93.46 ± 2.80) %, (82.58 ± 3.25) %, (61.19 ± 3.72)% and (41.28 ± 2.68)% respectively,P<0.05 between each group. The CyPA expression in endothelial cell and vessel smooth muscle cell were increased accordingly in 4 groups by OD value as (0.25 ± 0.06), (0.34 ± 0.09), (0.53 ± 0.09) and (0.68 ± 0.13) respectively,P<0.05 between each group. Conclusion: The CyPA expression increased and the endothelial-dependent vasodilatation decreased with the progress of atherosclerosis accordingly in experimental rats. The expression level of CyPA is related to atherosclerosis degree and it is one of the initial factors for atherosclerosis in rats.

Objective To explore the frequencies changing of pressure sensor measuring device suite during central venous pressure( CVP) measurement. Methods A total of 40 patients who required indwelling deep venous catheter and the application of pressure sensor measuring device suite for CVP measurement, were selected as sampling, and the devices connected bedside monitor for CVP measurement twice per day. The frequencies of the suite were changed as every two days, twice per week, once per week, and once every two weeks in order, each way were implemented for four weeks. The flushing water from the connection of deep venous catheter end of the used device was collected to put in asepsis tube for normal bacteria culture, and we compared the positive rate of water bacteria culture with different changing frequencies of suite. Results Under different changing frequencies, there were just two cases presented positive for bacteria culture with positive rate 5. 00% in the changing frequency of once per week. After ruling out the false positive results, flushing water of different changing frequencies were negative for bacteria culture. Conclusions It is safe to utilize pressure sensor measure device suite to measure CVP twice every day and change device once every two weeks.

Nano-cryopreservation may become a new way in the next generation of cryopreservation technology. However, research using nanoparticles in oocytes vitrification has not been reported in the literature. In this study, HA nanoparticles with different diameters were added into cryoprotectant and M II-stage porcine oocytes were vitrified by Cryotop. The results showed that nanoparticles improved the survival rate of cryopreserved M II-stage porcine oocytes, but the difference between nanoparticles with different diameters of was not significant. In order to study the mechanism of nano-cryopreservation, the cooling rate of cryoprotectant was measured by ultra-fast temperature measurement system and the melting enthalpy of cryoprotectant was measured by differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). The results showed that the adding of nanoparitcles could not increase the cooling rate of cryoprotectant, but could decreases the amount of ice crystals during freezing and warming. Therefore, the mechanical injury within and outside cells might be effectively reduced.
