1.Effect of Video-based Educational Intervention Combined with Maternal Presence on Perioperative Adverse Outcomes in Preschool Children under General Anesthesia

		                        			ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of video-based educational intervention combined with maternal presence on perioperative adverse outcomes in preschool children undergoing general anesthesia, including cooperation in anesthesia induction, perioperative anxiety, pain and agitation during recovery. MethodsA total of 300 preschool children scheduled for general anesthesia in our hospital from June to December 2023 were randomly assigned to control group (n=150) and intervention group (n=150). The control group received routine recovery care. For the intervention group, in addition to routine recovery care, a preoperative visit was scheduled one day before surgery. During this visit, mothers were guided to watch anesthesia videos with their children. During the waiting period in the operating room and 30 minutes after awakening, the mothers were guided to accompany the children for more than 30 minutes. Recovery conditions were recorded using the surgical anesthesia information system, and the children’s anesthetic induction compliance, perioperative anxiety, pain, and agitation were evaluated and recorded using the modified Yale Preoperative Anxiety Scale (m-YPAS), the Induction Compliance Scale (ICC), the Children’s Pain Behavior Scale (FLACC), and the Pediatric Agitation and Emergence Delirium Scale (PAED). ResultsOn the preoperative visit day, there were no statistically significant differences in baseline data between the two groups (P > 0.05). For perioperative anxiety, the m-YPAS scores of the intervention group were significantly lower than those of the control group, both when entering the operating room waiting area (35.27±6.48 vs. 41.79±6.68, P < 0.05) and 30 minutes after postoperative recovery (20.13±7.05 vs. 35.75±9.51, P < 0.05). In terms of anesthesia induction cooperation, the ICC scores of the intervention group were significantly lower than those of the control group (1.84±0.95 vs. 3.17±0.62, P < 0.05), and the proportion of good induction cooperation was significantly higher than that of the control group (24.00% vs. 12.67%, P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in awakening duration between the two groups, but the intervention group had a significantly shorter length of stay in the post-anesthesia care unit than the control group (0.90±0.29 hours vs. 1.29±0.42 hours, P < 0.001). For perioperative agitation, the PAED scores of the intervention group were significantly lower than those of the control group (entering in the operating room waiting area: 8.5 vs. 9.2, P < 0.05; 30 minutes after postoperative recovery: 4.2 vs. 7.8, P < 0.05). In terms of pain scores, the FLACC scores of the intervention group were also significantly lower than those of the control group, both when entering the operating room waiting area ( 5.3 vs. 6.7, P < 0.05; 30 minutes after postoperative recovery: 2.1 vs. 4.9, P < 0.05). ConclusionsVideo-based educational intervention combined with maternal presence reduces the perioperative anxiety, pain and agitation of preschool children undergoing general anesthesia, and improved the compliance of anesthesia induction. 2. Investigation and analysis of the current status of clinical research nurses

		                        			 AIM: To investigate and analyze the current situation and needs of clinical research nurses in China, in order to provide scientific basis for constructing a training system for research nurses, promoting standardized training, and achieving standardized management for them. METHODS:A self-made questionnaire was used to investigate 102 research nurses from nearly 70 well-known clinical trial institutions in China. The contents of the questionnaire mainly included the general information, professional experience and work content of the research nurses, the sense of accomplishment and training needs of clinical trial work. RESULTS: Among the 102 research nurses surveyed, 92.15% have a bachelor's degree or above; 53.92% of those have intermediate or higher professional titles; 74.51% of them are part-time research nurse. Among professional experiences, 19.61% have more than 10 years of clinical trial experience; 47.06%, 40.20%, and 21.17% of surveyed research nurses were authorized to participate in clinical trial drug management, sample management, and quality control; 70.59% of research nurses have a high sense of achievement in their daily work. In terms of education and training needs, clinical trial related laws and regulations, standardized training for clinical trial protocol implementation, and good clinical practice (GCP) are the three most important aspects. CONCLUSION: Clinical research nurses in China have a relatively high level of education and nursing experience, but there is still a large gap in the amount of professional full-time clinical research nurses in China. Due to the rapid development of innovative drugs and devices, as well as the urgent need to improve the clinical research system, it is necessary to establish a training, assessment, and evaluation system for research nurses that is in line with China's national conditions in order to improve the professional level of research nurses, and improve the quantity and quality of clinical trial research on innovative drugs and devices in China. 
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
3.Clinical features of sixteen-and-a-half syndrome combined with vertical gaze-evoked nystagmus(report of one case)

		                        			Objective The purpose of this paper is to further understand the clinical manifestations of impaired vestibular function in the sixteen-and-a-half syndrome and the different forms of nystagmus caused by pontine lesions,so as to improve the clinical diagnosis and treatment ability.Methods Combined with the medical history,clinical symptoms,signs and auxiliary examination in the case report,the eye movement characteristics and related nerve pathways of the sixteen-and-a-half syndromes were comprehensively analyzed to locate the pons lesions.Results In this patient,the Ⅷ cranial nerve(vestibulo-cochlear)simply involved the left vestibule,and there were clinical evidences of spontaneous nystagmus with left torsional upbeat and reduced function of the left saccule pathway.The lesions at the pontine showed vertical gaze-evoked nystagmus.Conclusions In the sixteen-and-a-half syndrome,the vestibular cochlear nerve is involved and may involve only the vestibular part without hearing impairment.The lesion of pons may result in sixteen and a half syndromes,and may also result in vertical gaze-evoked nystagmus.

5.Establishment of evaluation criterion of high-quality nursing services in comprehensive hospitals of Grade Three in Guangdong Province

		                        			Objective To establish an evaluation criterion for high-quality nursing services in comprehensive hospitals of Grade Three in Guangdong Province and provide references for promoting the evaluation of high quality nursing services and standardising high quality nursing services.Methods Based on literature review,brainstorming and references of relevant domestic systems,standards and policies,a pool of evaluation index items and a preliminary questionnaire were constructed.Delphi method was used for two rounds of expert consultations on evaluation indicators.Results The positive coefficients of the two rounds of expert consultations were of 80.00%and 91.67%,respectively,with the authority coefficients both at 0.93.The Kendall coordination coefficients for hospital part were 0.128 and 0.116 respectively,for ward part were 0.193 and 0.107 with statistical differences(both P<0.001).The evaluation criteria for high-quality nursing services in general hospitals above the third level in Guangdong Province involved in nursing services of hospitals and wards.There were 8 primary indicators,22 secondary indicators and 65 tertiary indicators in the nursing services at hospital part,and 9 primary indicators,23 secondary indicators and 50 tertiary indicators in the nursing services at ward part.Conclusions The evaluation criteria for high-quality nursing services in comprehensive hospitals above the third level in Guangdong Province,established in this study,are scientifically valid and reliable.They allow improvement of management system for the high-quality nursing services as well as guide the healthy development of high-quality nursing services.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
6.Influencing factors of early neurologic deterioration in elderly patients undergoing thrombectomy for acute occlusive stroke of large intracranial vessels

		                        			Objective To investigate the related factors of early neurological deterioration in elderly patients with thrombolysis for acute occlusive stroke of large intracranial vessels. Methods Clinical materials of 480 elderly patients with thrombolysis for acute occlusive stroke of large intracranial vessels were retrospectively analyzed. The National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) was used to evaluate the neurological function of patients within 72 hours after thrombectomy, and the patients were divided into deterioration group and non-deterioration group. The baseline materials were compared between the two groups, the factors of early neurological deterioration were analyzed, and the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was drawn to analyze the predictive value of risk. Results Among 480 elderly patients with thrombolysis for acute occlusive stroke of large intracranial vessels, 92 cases (19.17%) had early neurological deterioration; the blood glucose level, white blood cell count, incidence of dysphagia, and incidence of coma in the deterioration group were significantly higher than those in the non-deterioration group (
		                        		
		                        	
7.Interpretation of T/WSJD 14.9-2024 Ergonomic Guidelines for the Prevention of Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders: Part 9: Bus Driving Work

		                        			Bus drivers, as an important occupational group in urban public transportation system, are prone to suffer from work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) due to prolonged fixed postures and repetitive movements. The T/WSJD 14.9-2024 Ergonomic Guidelines for the Prevention of Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders: Part 9: Bus Driving Work is a recommended standard developed to prevent WMSDs among bus drivers. This standard, guided by the principles of T/WSJD 14.1-2020 Ergonomic Principle for the Prevention of Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders: Part 1: General Principles, is based on a preliminary work of comprehensive review of domestic and international research, workplace on-site surveys and questionnaires, data analysis, and factor identification. It defines the scope of application, identifies relevant risk factors and potential affected body parts, and offers ergonomic solutions in the form of intervention examples.
