AIM: To review and summarize the current research and achievements in the field of diabetic cataract, with the aim of better identifying research hotspots and trends in this area.METHODS: Based on the relevant literature retrieved from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Web of Science databases, and Pubmed, a bibliometric analysis of the diabetic cataract was conducted by means of Microsoft Office Excel 2017 and CiteSpace 6.3R2. Research hotspots were subsequently synthesized after visualizations of author/country collaborations, co-citation networks of highly cited literature, keyword clustering, and emergence.RESULTS: A total of 815 Chinese and 572 English publications were finally included. Overall, this field had maintained substantial scholarly attention globally, though publications had progressively decreased since 2018. While inter-institutional collaboration in this area remained limited, a multinational collaborative network had emerged with the People's Republic of China, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, and the Kingdom of Spain as central hubs. Core research priorities in diabetic cataract consistently encompassed surgical and pharmacological interventions, pathogenesis, associated ocular/systemic complications; while international and domestic research contents aligned fundamentally in these domains, but the domestic research was unique in nursing interventions and herbal medicine-based interventions. Recent analytical trends revealed that Chinese investigations prioritized the pathogenic mechanisms of diabetic cataract, whereas international efforts concentrated on clinical therapeutics.CONCLUSION: This bibliometric analysis of diabetic cataract research literature(2000-2024)synthesizes the current advancements, research priorities, and scholarly contributions in the field, and intuitively demonstrates significant academic merit and clinical relevance, which can provide evidence-based guidance for the future research trajectories.

With the continuous expansion of the enrollment of international medical students and the improvement of teaching quality, as well as the rapid development of rehabilitation medicine in China, rehabilitation medicine has become one of the required courses for in-ternational medical students. In view of the main problems suffered by the international medical undergraduate students in the study of reha-bilitation medicine, we mainly focused on the education concepts, teaching management and quality evaluation system, curriculum setting, construction of teaching materials, teacher training, teaching mode, teaching research and so on. The aim is to provide reference for improv-ing education quality in the course of rehabilitation medicine for the international medical students.

Objective To investigate the scholarly condition of China rehabilitation medicine in the world. Methods Based on Journal Citation Reports and Web of Science databases, the literatures of rehabilitation medicine were surveyed by countries and by years, especially those from China published in 2007 to 2011. Results and Conclusion The number and cited times of Chinese rehabilitation medicine literatures increased quickly. Hong Kong was on the top of China. For the universities of inland, Sun Yat-sen University, Capital Medical University and Nanjing Medical University were on the tops. The top fields of research were neurological rehabilitation, sports rehabilitation, rehabilitation therapy, etc.

This paper introduced a system for rehabilitation residency training, including the object, courses, assessment, and the structure.

In order to standardize the new prosthetic and orthotic engineering undergraduate education, Capital Medical University and its subordinate rehabilitation medicine school and biomedical engineering school are organized together to build new professional construction platform, and form a closely integrated medical and engineering talent training mode, especially a series of reform, practice and exploration in the areas of cultivation program design, compiling teaching materials, teachers team and the laboratory construction, practice teaching and the international certification and so on, achieving the international prosthetic and orthotic engineering senior talents training target.

Moral education has become gradually an important work of medical university in the new situation of market economy and knowledge economy. Toward characteristics of the college education of rehabilitation medicine, the current problems existing in the moral education of rehabilitation education was mainly analyzed, and new teaching method of moral education was probed as well as the understanding and thinking during the moral education.

To enhance the ability of clinical practice of the undergraduates in rehabilitation therapy, we carried out a series of exploration and study on strengthening the ability of clinical practice, as well as reinforcing on the constructions of teachers and teaching bases according to the teaching programme and curriculum of Capital Medical University School of Rehabilitation Medicine. In addition, we also made innovations and discoveries on the teaching methods of theoretical teaching, apprentice and clinical practice, established a set of professional teaching and practice system, which produced well.

Rehabilitation therapeutics has been put in practice in China. The setting of clinical course needs to be further explored. Thispaper summed up the past experience of diagnostic teaching by questionnaire for students to guide future teaching.

In order to fully educe the targeting and evaluation role of examinations to teaching, and promote normal and rapid development of rehabilitation therapy specialty through years of practice, Capital Medical University School of Rehabilitation Medicine has established series test banks in specialized courses, formed noviciate testing methods and comprehensive test and appraisal model in graduation practice, built a clinical stage examination system.
