Objective To investigate the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of 954 cases of central nervous system(CNS)infections in Chongqing. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 954 patients with CNS infectious disease diagnosed and treated in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Army Medical University from 2008 to 2021.The analysis encompassed pathogens, patient gender, age of onset, time of onset,urban-rural distribution, education level, occupational distribution, and other epidemiological characteristics. The clinical manifestations, the positive rate of metagenomic next-generation sequencing(mNGS),and prognosis were also analyzed. Results Among the 945 cases of CNS infectious diseases, the pathogens were viruses in 393(41.2%),Mycobacterium tuberculosis in 361(37.8%),other bacteria in 108(11.3%),Cryptococcus in 75(7.9%),Treponema pallidum in 16(1.7%)and parasites in 1(0.1%).The number of CNS infection cases from 2015 to 2021 increased by 85.6%compared with that from 2008 to 2014(620 vs.334,P<0.001).There was no significant difference in seasonal distribution of pathogens(P>0.05).CNS infectious diseases were more prevalent in rural areas(58.0%,P<0.001),with a male-to-female ratio of 1.7:1.0,and a higher incidence in individuals aged between 35 and 60 years. The majority of patients were educated at Junior high school level or below(68.7%)and were farmers or workers(68.1%).Clinical symptoms of CNS infectious disease mainly included fever, headache, signs of meningeal irritation, nausea and vomiting, which could be accompanied by consciousness disorder and focal neurological deficits.mNGS significantly improves the accuracy of clinical diagnosis. The rate of good prognosis of CNS infectious diseases was 97.5%,while the mortality rate was 0.3%.Conclusions In Chongqing area, the categories and species of CNS infectious pathogens are diverse, widely prevalent, and the clinical manifestations are complex. Moreover, the number of cases has been increasing in recent years.Understanding the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of CNS infectious diseases can help to recognize the regional differences, promote early accurate diagnosis and treatment, and improve prognosis.

Objective To explore the current status of H.pylori infection in the natural population of Sanya City, analyze its influencing factors, and provide a reference basis for the prevention and control of H.pylori infection. Methods A total of 677 residents from four districts of Sanya City were selected by overall stratified random sampling method, and were subjected to urea 14C breath test and questionnaire survey to calculate the positive rate of H.pylori in the natural population and analyze the influencing factors of H.pylori infection. Results A total of 606 residents were included, and the number of H.pylori positive detections was 261,with a positive detection rate of 38.5%.Among them, different ethnicity, marital status, smoking, eating vegetables and fruits, and literacy level were associated with H.pylori infection(P<0.05);gender,age,BMI,alcohol consumption, drinking water source, betel quid chewing, and the number of cohabitants were not significantly associated with H.pylori infection(P>0.05).Family infection was an independent risk factor for H.pylori infection in the natural population of Sanya City, and Li ethnicity, frequent consumption of fruits and vegetables, and college and higher education level were independent protective factors for H.pylori infection in the natural population of Sanya City. Conclusion The rate of H.pylori infection in the natural population of Sanya City is lower than the national average.Consuming more fruits and vegetables and improving the awareness of hygiene protection are conducive to the prevention of H.pylori infection;and the promotion of the family and related members with the same examination and treatment is important to avoid aggregation of infection within the family.

Objective:To investigate the status quo of training and domestic use of 707 clinical nutrition support specialty nurses from 21 provinces, cities, and autonomous regions in China. And to analyze their influencing factors and provide reference for improving the training system of clinical nutrition support specialty nurses, selection and development of specialist nurses in clinical nutrition support. Methods:From October to November 2023,a cross-sectional survey was conducted on 707 clinical nutrition support specialty nurses from 21 provinces, cities, and autonomous regions across China was conducted using a convenience sampling method based on a questionnaire about the training and home use of clinical nutrition support nurses. Univariate and multiple linear regression analysis was used to examine the use status and application of clinical nutrition support specialty nurses in five aspects:clinical nursing practice, nursing education, nursing management, coordination, nursing research and consultation. Results:The use of specialist clinical nutrition support nurses is not ideal, with 75.67% of specialist nurses scoring less than 208 points (i.e. less than 80% of the total score). Among the use of different dimensions, the clinical nursing practice dimension received the highest score (54.17±10.26),followed by the nursing education dimension (36.98±8.00). The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that hospital level and professional title are independent influencing factors influencing the use and development of specialist nurses. Conclusion:There is a need to further improve the utilisation of clinical nutrition support nurses. It is recommended that links and cooperation between hospitals at all levels, communities, and families be strengthened. For specialist nurses with higher professional titles, encourage them to fully play their roles, strengthen training in weak areas, continuously optimize the professional ability of clinical nutrition support nursing teams, comprehensively improve the quality of clinical nutrition support specialist nursing, and promote their high-level development.

ABSRACT The development of hepatocellular car-cinoma(HCC)is closely related to the formation of tumour blood vessels.VEGF-mediated angiogenesis is a major driver of the immune escape response in tumours.VEGF binds to vascular endothelial growth factor receptor2(VEGFR2)on endothelial cells, promoting endothelial cell proliferation and migration, inducing vascular changes in HCC,and thus promote the growth of hepatocellular carcino-ma cells.Anti-VEGF and its receptor-targeted mo-lecular drugs are currently effective new treat-ments for HCC.Monoclonal antibodies against VEGF and small-molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitors targeting VEGF have been shown to block its angio-genic activity, alleviate the inhibitory effect of the tumour microenvironment, and ultimately achieve tumour regression. This article provides a review of the research progress of VEGF/VEGFR inhibitors in HCC treatment.
