1.Study of quantitative flow ratio-guided surgical coronary artery revascularization strategy

		                        			Objective:To explore the feasibility of applying quantitative flow ratio(QFR) to assess the degree of coronary artery functional stenosis before surgery, and to guide coronary artery bypass grafting(CABG) revascularization strategy.Methods:The study prospectively included a total of 154 patients who were electively treated with CABG in the 11th ward of the Department of Cardiac Surgery of Beijing Anzhen Hospital from January 2019 to September 2020, and their coronary angiography visually showed stenosis of the coronary artery to perform QFR analysis to know the diseased blood vessels. For functional stenosis, the surgeon was blinded to the results of QFR analysis before surgery. Collect its baseline data, perioperative data and recent clinical outcomes for summary analysis.Results:One year later, the coronary artery CTA showed that the occlusion rate of functionally significant disease(QFR<0.8) was 5.5%, and that of non-functionally significant disease(QFR≥0.8) was 15.6%. There was no difference in angina class or repeat interventions between patients with or without occluded bypass grafts.Conclusion:According to QFR analysis, coronary arteries with functional non-significant disease have a higher risk of grafts failure than those with functionally significant disease. For coronary arteries with negative QFR lesions, the risk of occlusion of arterial grafts is higher than that of venous. However, this finding is not significantly related to clinical prognosis, because patients with patency or occlusion of the grafts in non-significant lesions have not found excessive angina pectoris or repeated coronary interventions. 		                        			Objective:To analyze the clinical characteristics of adult Chinese patients with syncope.Methods:This is a cross-sectional survey study. Patients with preliminary diagnosis of syncope in the Emergency Department, Geriatrics and Cardiology Outpatient Department, or Syncope Unit of 37 hospitals in 19 provinces, autonomous regions and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region from June 2018 to March 2021 were included in this study. The clinical features of these patients with syncope were analyzed.Results:A total of 4 950 consecutive patients with syncope were included in this study. The age was (56.3±16.8)years, and 2 604 cases (52.6%) were male. The most common type of syncope was neurally mediated syncope (2 345 (47.4%)), followed by cardiac syncope (1 085 (21.9%)), orthostatic hypotensive syncope (311 (6.3%)), and unexplained syncope accounted for nearly one third (1 155 (23.3%)). Predisposing syncope was more common in patients under 65 years of age(2 066(72.4%) vs. 786(27.6%),χ 2=136.5, P<0.001). Presyncope was more common in patients with neurally mediated syncope (1 972(79.0%) vs.1 908(73.9%), χ 2=17.756, P<0.001). Premonitory symptoms were more common in women(1 837(80.0%) vs. 1 863(73.0%),χ 2=33.432, P<0.001). Presyncope syndrome was more common in patients under 65 years of age (2 482(77.8%) vs. 1 218(73.4%),χ 2=17.523, P=0.001). Cyanosis was more common in ≥65 years old patients (271(18.2%) vs. 369(12.7%), χ 2=23.235, P<0.001). Urinary incontinence was more common in old patients aged ≥65 years(252(15.2%) vs. 345(10.8%), χ 2=19.313, P<0.001). Family history was more common in patients with cardiogenic syncope compared with other types of syncope (264(24.3%) vs. 754(19.5%), χ 2=11.899, P=0.001). Hypertention(1 480(30.5%)), coronary heart disease(1 057(21.4%)), atrial flutter and atrial fibrillation(359(7.2%)), second degree atrioventricular block(236(4.8%)) were common complications of syncope. The proportion of patients with coronary heart disease was significantly higher in cardiac syncope than that of other types of syncope(417(38.4%) vs. 640(16.6%), χ 2=241.376, P<0.001). Other common complications included cerebrovascular diseases (551 (11.1%)) and diabetes mellitus (632(12.8%)). Conclusions:Neurally mediated syncope is the most common syncope in adult Chinese population. Patients with predisposing conditions and premonitory conditions are younger. Presyncope is more common in women. It is a common condition associated with substantial disease burden both for affected individuals and societies in many countries, including Korea. CSU frequently persists for several years and requires high-intensity treatment; therefore, patients experience deteriorations in quality of life and medication-associated complications. During the last decade, there have been major advances in the pharmacological treatment of CSU and there is an outstanding need for evidence-based guidelines that reflect clinical practice in Korea. The guidelines reported here represent a joint initiative of the Korean Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Clinical Immunology and the Korean Dermatological Association, and aim to provide evidence-based guidance for the management of CSU in Korean adults and children. 5. Follow-up analysis on change of serum total cholesterol concentration in rural residents in Shanxi province

		                        			 Objective:
		                        			To analyze the longitudinal change of serum total cholesterol concentration in 733 rural residents in Shanxi province.
		                        		
		                        			Methods:
		                        			Based on the residents of five rural areas in Shanxi province who participated in China nutrition and health survey in 2002, a follow-up survey was conducted in 2015. Fasting venous blood of the participants was collected and serum TC concentration was tested by cholesterol oxidase method.
		                        		
		                        			Results:
		                        			Of 733 participants, 332 were male and 401 were female. In 2002 baseline survey, the age of the participants was (42.6±9.5) years old, 76.2% of male and 83.8% of female had junior middle school education or below. Proportion of smoking were 65.7% and 1.2%, drinking were 26.8% and 4.0%, obesity were 6.3% and 12.0%, and central obesity were 27.1% and 31.9%, respectively in male and female. The follow-up age of participants in 2015 was (55.8±9.5) years old, proportion of smoking changed to 48.2% and 1.5%, drinking were 49.7% and 3.0%, obesity increased to 11.8% and 18.2% and central obesity increased to 41.6% and 53.6%, respectively in male and female. The overall serum TC level increased from (3.82±0.89) mmol/L to (4.72±0.97) mmol/L with an average increase of 27.2%, which increased from (3.84±0.94) mmol/L to (4.54±0.93) mmol/L in male with an average increase of 22.7%, and increased from (3.81±0.84) mmol/L to (4.86±0.98) mmol/L in female with an average increase of 30.9%. The serum TC levels in 18-, 30-, 40-, and 50-59 years old group increased from (3.42±0.83), (3.72±0.77), (3.90±0.83) and (4.00±1.03) mmol/L to (4.38±1.01), (4.79±0.92), (4.73±0.99) and (4.76±0.96) mmol/L, with average increase range of 31.4%, 32.1%, 25.2% and 22.6%, respectively. The mean serum TC levels between two years all had statistically significant difference among groups of gender, age, education, marital status, family history of cardiovascular disease, smoking, drinking, BMI and waist circumference after paired 
		                        		
		                        	
6.Recombinase polymerase amplification combined with a lateral flow dipstick for rapid and visual detection of adenovirus

		                        			Objective To develop a rapid, accurate, visual, and portable detection method for adenovirus types B (AdvB) and E ( AdvE).Methods Universal primers were targeted on type-specific conserved regions to allow the simultaneous detection of both human Adv (HAdV) species.A detection method based on the combination of recombinase polymerase amplification ( RPA) and lateral flow dipstick ( LFD) was established the sensitivity and specificity evaluated , and throat swab specimens of 19 patients infected with AdvB and AdvE as well as 10 healthy volunteers were detected with this method.Results The detection limit of the method was 10 copies/μl Adv DNA, which was close to that of qPCR , and there were no cross-reactions with other species of Adv and unrelated virus .The detection could be finished within 15 to 20 min within the temperature range of 25 to 45℃.When applied to clinical samples , this method showed 100% sensitivity and specificity.Conclusion This detection assay is a sensitive , specific, rapid and simple method that eliminates the need for expensive equipment , trained personnel or laboratories .The characteristics of this system render it suitable for use in grass-roots healthcare departments , and the system is especially effective for field testing and on-site testing.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
7.Meta analysis of studies on epidemiology of hypertension in college and university teachers and staff

		                        			Objective To more effectively prevent hypertension and provide better health care for college and university teachers and staff by keeping abreast with the epidemiology of hypertension. Methods The data were extracted from the selected Chinese and English papers on epidemiology of hypertension, which was followed by a meta-analysis of the prevalence, awareness rate, cure rate, and control rate of hypertension in college and university teachers and staff of China. Results A total of 73 papers were included in this study. The total prevalence of hypertension was 23. 3% (95%CI=21. 1%-25. 6%), the prevalence of hypertension was 27. 2% (95%CI=24. 4%-30. 0%) in male hypertensive teachers and staff and was 18. 6% (95%CI=16. 6%-20. 6%) in female hypertensive teachers and staff. The prevalence of hypertension increased with the increasing age and tended to increase with the year of investigation in college and university teachers and staff of China, and was the lowest in East China followed by Central China and West China. The awareness rate, cure rate and control rate of hypertension were 68. 3% (95%CI=59 . 7%-76 . 8%) , 63 . 7% ( 95%CI=55 . 5%-71 . 9%) , and 37 . 7% ( 95%CI=28 . 0%-47 . 5%) respec-tively in college and university teachers and staff of China. 8.Molecular Epidemiology of Staphylococcus aureus among Patients with Skin and Soft Tissue Infections in Two Chinese Hospitals.

BACKGROUNDStaphylococcus aureus is one of the predominant causes of skin and soft tissue infections (SSTIs), but limited data were available regarding the characterization of S. aureus from SSTIs patients in Jiangsu Province in China. We aimed to investigate the molecular epidemiology of S. aureus among SSTIs patients in two hospitals of Jiangsu Province.
METHODSSixty-two patients with SSTIs from two Chinese hospitals in Jiangsu Province were enrolled in this study, and 62 S. aureus isolates were collected from February 2014 to January 2015. S. aureus isolates were characterized by antimicrobial susceptibility testing, toxin gene detection, and molecular typing with sequence type, Staphylococcus protein A gene type, accessory gene regulator (agr) group, and Staphylococcal cassette chromosome mec t ype.
RESULTSSixteen (25.8%) methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) isolates were detected, and there was no isolate found resistant to vancomycin, teicoplanin, sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim, and linezolid. The sei was the toxin gene most frequently found, and no lukS/F-PV-positive isolates were detected among the SSTIs' patients. Molecular analysis revealed that ST398 (10/62, 16.1%; 2 MRSA and 8 methicillin-susceptible S. aureus) to be the dominant clone, followed by ST5 (8/62, 12.9%) and ST7 (8/62, 12.9%).
CONCLUSIONSThe livestock ST398 was the most common clone among patients with S. aureus SSTIs in Jiangsu Province, China. Surveillance and further studies on the important livestock ST398 clone in human infections are necessarily requested.

9.Expression of miRNA-630 in bladder urothelial carcinoma and its clinical significance.

		                        			Many studies informed that microRNAs (miRNAs) could function as diagnostic and prognostic indicators in several cancers. The aims of this study were to explore the expression of miR-630 in bladder urothelial carcinoma and its clinical significance for the evaluation of cancer prognosis. A total of 116 patients with bladder urothelial carcinoma were obtained in this retrospective study between May, 2012 and Sep. 2015. Quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) was conducted to evaluate the expression level of miR-630. The chi-square test was used to examine the associations between miR-630 expression and the clinicopathological features. The Kaplan-Meier method was conducted to explore the survival status of urothelial carcinoma patients. The log-rank test was used to analyze differences in survival rate. The results showed an obvious increase in miR-630 expression from normal bladder to bladder urothelial carcinoma (P=0.027). Additionally, patients with higher miR-630 expression had significantly shorter disease-free survival (DFS) (P=0.043) and overall survival (OS) (P=0.038) than those with lower miR-630 expression. Furthermore, multivariate analysis revealed that up-regulation of miR-630 was an independent prognostic factor for both DFS (P=0.042) and OS (P=0.046). It was demonstrated that miR-630 may be a novel and valuable prognostic factor for bladder urothelial carcinoma.

10.Effects of class I( phosphatidylinositol-3-kinases inhibitor on gastric cancer cell xenografts in nude mice.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effect of recombinant adenovirus (phosphatidylinositol-3-kinases(PI3K)(I()-RNAi-AD which blocks the class I( PI3K signaling pathway on gastric carcinoma cells xenografts in nude mice.
METHODSSubcutaneous tumor models of nude mice were established with SGC7901 cells and randomly divided into PI3K(I()-RNAi-AD group, NC-RNAi-GFP-AD group and control group. The tumor size and the inhibitory rate of tumor growth on days 3, 6, and 9 after cell transplantation were measured. The expression of TNF-α, COX2, P53, PCNA, E-cadherin and nm23/DNPK in tumor tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry.
RESULTSTumor growth was significantly inhibited in the PI3K(I()-RNAi-AD group(14.2%, 21.0%, and 28.1%) on days 3, 6, 9 compared with NC-RNAi-GFP-AD group(1.3%, 1.9%, and 2.0%, all P<0.05). The expressions of TNF-α, P53, E-cadherin and nm23/DNPK were up-regulated, and the expressions of COX2 and PCNA were down-regulated in the PI3K(I()-RNAi-AD group by immunohistochemical staining(all P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONSPI3K(I()-RNAi-AD can inhibit the growth of SGC7901 cell transplantation tumor in vivo in nude mice by inhibiting cell growth, reducing the capacity of tumor invasion and inhibiting tumor angiogenesis.
