Objective To investigate the factors influencing the disease-free survival (DFS) and prognosis of patients with non small cell lung cancer after Ⅲa stage resection, and to evaluate the effect of traditional Chinese medicine intervention.Methods A total of 148 cases met the inclusion criteria were enrolled in the study. The DFS, 1-, 2- and 3-year disease-free survival rates were analyzed. Univariate and multivariate survival analysis were used to investigate the prognostic factors.Results In the analysis of 148 cases, the DFS was 17.49 months, 1 years, 2 years, 3 years disease-free survival rates were 62％, 40％, 29％. Single factor analysis showed that the duration of DFS was 21.03 months, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.001) for 8.26 months without the intervention of Chinese medicine (TCM). Open chest surgery, syndrome differentiation, oral medicine, oral medicine dialectical decoction continuous time, vein used traditional Chinese medicine preparation course, traditional Chinese medicine to the route of administration, multidisciplinary intervention methods for prognosis related factors(P<0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that vein used traditional Chinese medicine preparation course (≥4 courses) and traditional Chinese medicine intervention (≥six months time), syndrome differentiation, oral administration of traditional Chinese medicine combined with intravenous preparations continued administration were the non-independent protective factors for disease-free survival and prognosis (P<0.05). Postoperative application of intravenous formulation more than or equal to four courses showed 57.1％ risks of recurrence and metastasis than the those fewer than 4 courses. After operation is Postoperative continued intervention of traditional Chinese medicine more than or equal to 6 months showed 50.4％ risks of recurrence and metastasis than the those fewer than 6 months. Postoperative adminstration of intravenous and oral traditional Chinese medicine showed 27.7％ risks of recurrence and metastasis than the those fewer than only TCM syndromes differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine.Conclusions The combination of syndrome differentiation with oral and intravenous application of traditional Chinese medicine helps to delay the recurrence and metastasis of postoperative stage Ⅲa NSCLC.

Objective To evaluate and compare the results of different operative methods for different types of femoral neck fracture. Methods To assess the treatment effect of two methods. Some eases of femoral neck fracture of basal-neck type and via-neck type were treated with closed reduction internal fixation with two compression spiral screws(14 eases). Other eases(32 eases) of femoral neck fracture of sub-head type and head-neck type were treated with closed reduction internal fixation with two cannulated compression screws and bone graft flaped with quadrate muscle of thigh. Results 41 cases were followed up. The average healing time was 3 years and 10 months.The bone healing rate was 97.5% ,femoral head necrosis occurred in 2.4% ,excellent and good rate was 92.6%.Conclusion Cases of femoral neck fracture of sub-head type and head-neck type were treated with closed reduction internal fixation with two cannulated compression screws and bone graft flaped with quadrate muscle of thigh. This method has the advantage of reliable fixation, simple operation, less injury and little hemorrhage. It can improve the rate of fracture union and reduce the rate of avascular necrosis of femoral head. It is the optimal method for the treatment of femoral neck fractures.

Objective To develope effective TCM antirheumatic drug and provide theoratical basis of establishing TCM effect evaluation system of RA,the effect of modified Guizhishaoyaozhimu Decoction on RA was evaluated by SF-36 questionnaire. Methods Evaluation of 59 cases in a RCT (random control test) study was based on SF-36 questionnaire. Treatment group was given modified Guizhishaoyaozhimu decoction bid,while control group was given MTX 10 mg,one time a week with celecoxib 200 mg,qd. Observation last on 24 weeks and comparing patients’ quality of life was done at the beginning and end point. Results There was significant difference between two groups on improving physical functioning,role-physical,body pain,social function,and role-emotional (P 0.05). Conclusions Modified Guizhishaoyaozhimu decoction has better effect on improve RA patients’ quality of life than MTX.

Objective To discuss the clinical value of the treatment of intercondylar fractures of the distal femur using open reduction and internal fi xation. Methods From July 1995 to December 2001, a total of 32 intercondylar fra ctures of the distal femur were treated with open reduction and internal fixatio n with a plate, 95? blade plate, a dynamic condylar screw (DCS) or a condyla r buttress plate. There were 13 cases of type-C1, 10 type-C2 and 9 type-C3 ac cording to the AO/ASIF standard. The outcomes of internal fixation were evaluate d according to preoperative and postoperative radiographs and postoperative func tions of the knee. Results 27 patients were followed-up from 8 months to 8 year s. The results were excellent in 14 cases, good in 9, poor in 4 according to San ders standard. Conclusion Open reduction and internal fixation is an ideal ch oice for intercondylar fractures of the distal femur.
