		                        			Traumatic supraorbital fissure syndrome (TSOFS) is a symptom complex caused by nerve entrapment in the supraorbital fissure after skull base trauma. If the compressed cranial nerve in the supraorbital fissure is not decompressed surgically, ptosis, diplopia and eye movement disorder may exist for a long time and seriously affect the patients′ quality of life. Since its overall incidence is not high, it is not familiarized with the majority of neurosurgeons and some TSOFS may be complicated with skull base vascular injury. If the supraorbital fissure surgery is performed without treatment of vascular injury, it may cause massive hemorrhage, and disability and even life-threatening in severe cases. At present, there is no consensus or guideline on the diagnosis and treatment of TSOFS that can be referred to both domestically and internationally. To improve the understanding of TSOFS among clinical physicians and establish standardized diagnosis and treatment plans, the Skull Base Trauma Group of the Neurorepair Professional Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Neurotrauma Group of the Neurosurgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, Neurotrauma Group of the Traumatology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and Editorial Committee of Chinese Journal of Trauma organized relevant experts to formulate Chinese expert consensus on the diagnosis and treatment of traumatic supraorbital fissure syndrome ( version 2024) based on evidence of evidence-based medicine and clinical experience of diagnosis and treatment. This consensus puts forward 12 recommendations on the diagnosis, classification, treatment, efficacy evaluation and follow-up of TSOFS, aiming to provide references for neurosurgeons from hospitals of all levels to standardize the diagnosis and treatment of TSOFS.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
2.Percutaneous balloon mitral valvuloplasty guided by intracardiac echocardiography:a report of two cases

		                        			For the past 30 years,percutaneous balloon mitral valve dilatation has been performed under the guidance of X-rays and bedside ultrasound.However,there are still some cases of mitral valve stenosis in the large atrium where balloon dilation failed.Intraperitoneal ultrasound-guided percutaneous balloon mitral valve plasty is accurate and feasible,which can reduce the occurrence of complications and improve the success rate of such elderly complex cases.Two patients with severe mitral stenosis underwent percutaneous balloon mitral valve plasty guided by intracardiac ultrasound.The operations were successful without any complications,which can provide reference for clinical treatment of mitral stenosis.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
3.A comparative study of two single-stage oral mucosal substitution urethroplasty (Kulkarni and Asopa) in the surgical treatments of lichen sclerosus urethral strictures.

		                        			Long-segment lichen sclerosus (LS) urethral stricture is a challenge for urologists. Limited data are available for surgeons to make a surgical decision between Kulkarni and Asopa urethroplasty. In this retrospective study, we investigated the outcomes of these two procedures in patients with LS urethral stricture. Between January 2015 and December 2020, 77 patients with LS urethral stricture underwent Kulkarni and Asopa procedures for urethroplasty in the Department of Urology, Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine (Shanghai, China). Of the 77 patients, 42 (54.5%) underwent the Asopa procedure and 35 (45.5%) underwent the Kulkarni procedure. The overall complication rate was 34.2% in the Kulkarni group and 19.0% in the Asopa group, and no difference was observed ( P = 0.105). Among the complications, no statistical difference was observed in the incidence of urethral stricture recurrence ( P = 0.724) or glans dehiscence ( P = 0.246) except for postoperative meatus stenosis ( P = 0.020). However, the recurrence-free survival rate between the two procedures was significantly different ( P = 0.016). Cox survival analysis showed that antiplatelet/anticoagulant therapy use ( P = 0.020), diabetes ( P = 0.003), current/former smoking ( P = 0.019), coronary heart disease ( P < 0.001), and stricture length ( P = 0.028) may lead to a higher hazard ratio of complications. Even so, these two techniques can still provide acceptable results with their own advantages in the surgical treatment of LS urethral strictures. The surgical alternative should be considered comprehensively according to the patient characteristics and surgeon preferences. Moreover, our results showed that antiplatelet/anticoagulant therapy use, diabetes, coronary heart disease, current/former smoking, and stricture length may be contributing factors of complications. Therefore, patients with LS are advised to undergo early interventions for better therapeutic effects.

5.Design and practice of general population cohort study in northeastern China

		                        			In 2016, a national one million general population cohort project was set up in China for the first time in "Precision Medicine Research" Key Project, National Key Research and Development Program of China, which consists of general population cohorts in seven areas in China. As one of the seven major areas in China, northeastern China has unique climate and specific dietary patterns, and population aging is serious in this area. And the burden of chronic and non-communicable diseases ranks tops in China. Therefore, it is of great significance to establish a large general population cohort in northeastern China to explore the area specific exposure factors related to pathogenesis and prognosis of chronic and non-communicable diseases, develop new prevention strategies to reduce the burden of the diseases and improve the population health in northeastern China. In July 2018, the general population cohort study in northeastern China was launched, the study includes questionnaire survey, health examination and blood, urine and stool sample collection and detection in recruited participants. By now, the cohort has covered all age groups, and the baseline data of 115 414 persons have been collected. 6.Structure of Gardenia Blue Pigment and Its Inhibitory Activity on Monoamine Oxidase B

		                        			ObjectiveTo study the chemical structure of gardenia blue pigment and its inhibitory activity against monoamine oxidase B (MAO-B), in order to seek a potential feasible way for rational utilization and value enhancement of iridoids in Gardeniae Fructus. MethodIridoid glycosides in Gardeniae Fructus were hydrolyzed by cellulase to obtain their aglycones and reacted with amino acids. Then, the products were purified by column chromatography packed with D101 macroporous resin and preparative liquid chromatography to obtain gardenia blue pigments, and the gardenia blue pigments were identified by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and mass spectrometry (MS). Benzylamine was used as the reaction substrate of MAO-B and in vitro incubated with gardenia blue pigment monomers, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was employed to determine the production of benzaldehyde for evaluating the inhibitory effect of gardenia blue pigments on MAO-B, the mobile phase was methanol (A) -50 mmol·L-1 potassium phosphate buffer (B, pH 3.2) (2∶3), and the detection wavelength was 245 nm. ResultEight compounds of gardenia blue pigment A-H were synthesized and identified. In MAO-B inhibition test, compared with geniposide, the inhibitory activity of gardenia blue pigment D and E was significantly enhanced (P<0.05). Compared with the 6β-hydroxygeniposide, the inhibitory activity of gardenia blue pigment G and H was significantly enhanced (P<0.05, P<0.01). All the four gardenia blue pigments showed better MAO-B inhibitory activity than the prototype compounds. ConclusionGardenia blue pigment is a simple compound formed by one molecule of amino acid and one molecule of iridoid. Some gardenia blue pigments have better MAO-B inhibitory activity than the prototype compounds. The activity of gardenia blue pigment produced by different substrates is different, and the high-value gardenia blue pigment can be prepared based on experimental optimization, which can expand the application range of gardenia blue pigment and enrich the comprehensive utilization of iridoids from Gardeniae Fructus. 
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
7. Analysis on the influencing factors of low back pain in the occupational workers of key industries in China

		                        			 OBJECTIVE: To explore the influencing factors of low back pain and the relationship of the influence of bad working posture, weight load and frequency of load and the dose-response relationship among the occupational workers of key industries in China. METHODS: A total of 57 501 employees from 15 key industries in China were selected as research subjects using stratified cluster sampling method. The occurrence of low back pain in the past one year, as well as occupational factors such as job type, labor organization and work posture were investigated by using the Chinese version Musculoskeletal Disorders Questionnaire. RESULTS: The prevalence of low back pain in the occupational population of key industries in China was 16.4%(9 448/57 501). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that the risk of low back pain in females was higher than that in males(P<0.01). Married, obese, occasional and frequent smokers, and a history of lower back disease were associated with increased risk of low back pain(all P<0.05). The risk of low back pain was associated with older age, higher education level, and lower frequency of physical exercise(all P<0.01). The risk of low back pain was higher with longer working time, greater back curvature, and the high frequency of long standing and sitting position work, uncomfortable working posture, repeated operation per minute, and lifting>5 kg weight(all P<0.01). CONCLUSION: The influencing factors of low back pain in the occupational population of key industries in China include bad working posture, high frequency load, weight load and other individual factors. To give full play to the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in the treatment of neurological disorders, identify the breakthrough point of integrating TCM with western medicine, and further standardize the clinical diagnosis and treatment of TCM, the China Association of Chinese Medicine organized neurologists in TCM and western medicine to carry out in-depth discussion on the neurological diseases responding specifically to TCM and integrated TCM and western medicine, such as stroke, headache, vertigo, multiple sclerosis, and epilepsy, aiming to formulate a well-recognized and integrated treatment protocol for TCM and western medicine and improve the efficacy of neurological disorders. 10.Relationship between lower limb alignment distribution and short-term clinical results after primary total knee arthroplasty in patients with varying degrees of knee varus.

		                        			OBJECTIVE:
		                        			To analyze the relationship between the distribution of lower limb alignment and short term clinical efficacy in patients with varus-type osteoarthritis after primary total knee arthroplasty (TKA).
		                        		
		                        			METHODS:
		                        			From December 2016 to March 2018, 87 patients (101 knees) with knee osteoarthritis were treated with the first total knee arthroplasty by the same medical group, including 21 males(25 knees) and 66 females(76 knees), ranging in age from 51 to 85 years old, with a mean of (67.6±7.0) years old. According to the difference of hip knee ankle angle (HKA) after total knee arthroplasty, the patients were divided into 4 groups:neutral position group (group A), -3°≤HKA≤3°, 50 knees;slight varus group (group B), 3°< HKA<6°, 20 knees;severe varus group (group C), HKA≥6°, 20 knees;valgus group (group D), HKA<- 3°, 11 knees. The preoperative sex, age, body mass index, operative side, preoperative and postoperative knee joint activity, HSS score, KSS clinical and functional score were compared among the 4 groups, and the relationship between the force line distribution of femoral and tibial prosthesis and the recent clinical effect was compared.
		                        		
		                        			RESULTS:
		                        			All the patients were followed up with a mean duration of(18.4±4.0) months. The range of motion of knee joint, HSS and KSS scores at the latest follow-up after operation in the 4 groups were higher than those before operation, and the difference was statistically significant (<0.001). There were significant differences in HSS and KSS scores among the 4 groups at the latest follow up (<0.05);and the results in group A were better than those in group C and group D (<0.05);the results in group B were better than those in group C and group D (< 0.05);there was no significant difference between group A and group B or group C and group D(>0.05). There was no significant difference in knee joint activity among the 4 groups. The score of femoral prosthesis force line within ±3°was better than that of the other group (<0.05), and the score of tibia prosthesis force line had no significant difference between within ±3° group and other group (>0.05).
		                        		
		                        			CONCLUSION
		                        			The short term clinical efficacy of patients with knee varus osteoarthritis after primary total knee arthroplasty is related to the distribution of lower limbs alignment. The short-term clinical efficacy of slight inversion position can be similar to that of neutral position.
