1.Treatment of miniere’s disease (icd-10 h.81) using traditional medicine and therapeutic interventions: Case report

		                        			Background:
		                        			Meniere's disease is a condition caused by disturbances in the
auditory and vestibular systems. It is characterized by symptoms such as dizziness,
nausea, vomiting, and tinnitus. In the United States, the prevalence of
Meniere's disease has been found to be 84 cases per 100,000 women and
56 cases per 100,000 men. Regionally, it is more common in less populated
areas, and research has confirmed that the prevalence increases with higher
household income.
		                        		
		                        			Aim:
		                        			To evaluate the effectiveness of traditional medicine treatments and therapies
for Meniere's disease.
		                        		
		                        			Results:
		                        			The patient is a 43-year-old male, with symptoms of dizziness, vomiting,
and tinnitus. Since 2023, he has sought care at the Central Hospital of
Mongolian Medicine, where he received traditional medicine treatments including
herbal therapy and other traditional therapies on three occasions. As a
result, the frequency of dizziness has decreased and other clinical symptoms
have improved.
		                        		
		                        			Conclusion
		                        			Traditional medicine treatments have been shown to be effective
in managing Meniere's disease by extending the interval between relapses,
improving quality of life, and significantly reducing clinical symptoms.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
2.Analysis of Mandibular Fracture Cases Recorded in Mongolia

		                        			Background:
		                        			The craniofacial region is one of the most frequently injured parts of the human body, with mandibular
fractures being the most common type of facial skeletal injury. The leading causes of mandibular fractures include traffic
accidents, falls, interpersonal violence, and sports-related injuries. In Mongolia, mandibular fractures are prevalent, with
a higher incidence among males. However, to date, no national-level analysis of mandibular fractures has been conducted.
This study aims to comprehensively examine mandibular fractures in Mongolia by identifying demographic factors and
causes of injury.
		                        		
		                        			Aim:
		                        			To determine the incidence and causes of mandibular fractures recorded in Mongolia over the past ten years.
		                        		
		                        			Materials and Methods:
		                        			This study collected data on mandibular fractures recorded in the Health Development Center
of Mongolia between 2014 and 2023. Cases were identified using the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10)
code S02.6. Information on patient age, gender, and hospital diagnosis was collected, along with the cause of injury, classified
according to ICD-10 codes. Patient age was categorized based on the classification system of the National Statistics
Office. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 26.00 software, employing the chi-square test for data analysis.
		                        		
		                        			Results:
		                        			During the study period, a total of 2,872 patients were diagnosed with mandibular fractures, with the highest
incidence occurring in the 20-40 age group. The average patient age was 31.1±12 years. Males were 5.6 times more likely
to sustain mandibular fractures compared to females. The primary causes of injury were interpersonal violence (42%),
mechanical trauma (17%), falls (16%), and traffic accidents (15%).
		                        		
		                        			Conclusion
		                        			Between 2014 and 2023, 2,872 cases of mandibular fractures were recorded in Mongolia, with the majority
occurring in individuals aged 20-40 years. The leading causes of mandibular fractures were interpersonal violence, mechanical
trauma, falls, and traffic accidents. Specialized trauma care services were accessed differently in urban and rural

3.Profile and outcomes of pediatric hematology and oncology patients diagnosed with COVID-19 in the Philippine General Hospital

		                        			Introduction:
		                        			The coronavirus pandemic has affected millions worldwide. Better understanding of COVID-19 in
pediatric hematology-oncology patients in a resource-limited setting is crucial to improve care as the pandemic ensues.
		                        		
		                        			Objectives:
		                        			This study describes the clinical profile and outcomes of pediatric hematology oncology patients with COVID-19 seen at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH).
		                        		
		                        			Methods:
		                        			A retrospective, descriptive review of pediatric hematology oncology patients with COVID-19 seen
between March 2020 to March 2021 in PGH was done.
		                        		
		                        			Results:
		                        			Forty patients were identified. Seventeen percent had non-malignant hematologic conditions, 40% had
leukemias, and 42.5% had solid tumors. Fever and cough were the most common manifestations. Seventy-six percent were on treatment, 9% were newly diagnosed, and 7% were in relapse or disease progression. Fifty-five percent had mild COVID-19; 5% and 2.5% had severe and critical COVID-19, respectively. Thirty-seven percent were asymptomatic. Cancer-related therapy was placed on hold for most patients. There were two mortalities, none was due to COVID-19.
		                        		
		                        			Conclusion
		                        			Results suggest that patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions have a mild course, with
majority showing recovery from COVID-19. Delays in cancer-related therapy however, may contribute to disease progression and mortality.

4.The In Vitro α-glucosidase and α-amylase inhibitory activity and In Vivo postprandial antihyperglycemic activity of Ficus nota Blanco Merr. and Ficus septica Burm. F. leaf methanolic extracts

		                        			Background:
		                        			One of the therapeutic strategies for type 2 diabetes mellitus involves suppressing postprandial hyperglycemia by
inhibiting key enzymes in carbohydrate digestion, α-glucosidase and α-amylase. While such inhibitors are commercially available,
some researchers have turned to plants for potentially cheaper and safer alternatives.
		                        		
		                        			Objectives:
		                        			The study aimed to investigate the in vitro α-glucosidase and α-amylase inhibitory activities of the leaf methanolic
extracts of two native Philippine plants Ficus nota Blanco Merr. and Ficus septica Burm F, as well as their effects on postprandial
blood glucose levels in a mouse model.
		                        		
		                        			Methodology:
		                        			The in vitro activities of the leaf methanolic extracts were evaluated against porcine pancreatic α-amylase and yeast αglucosidase. The most active extract was partially purified into fractions by sequential solvent partitioning and subjected to in vitro testing.
Postprandial antihyperglycemic activity was then assessed in normoglycemic ICR mice. Phytochemical analysis was also performed
		                        		
		                        			Results:
		                        			The most active extract and fraction in vitro were FS-crude and FS-HexF, respectively, having significantly more potent αglucosidase inhibitory activity than the commercial drug acarbose. FS-crude and FS-HexF exhibited strong inhibition of αglucosidase and weak inhibition of α-amylase, which is considered favorable for novel inhibitors as it is hypothesized to reduce
gastrointestinal adverse effects. However, FS-crude and FS-HexF did not significantly attenuate postprandial blood glucose levels in
the oral starch tolerance test. Phytochemical analysis of FS-HexF putatively identified 6-gingerol as one of the possible bioactive
components.
		                        		
		                        			Conclusion
		                        			F. septica could be a potential source of glycoside inhibitors as it showed promising in vitro inhibition of α-amylase and
α-glucosidase. While it did not exhibit significant postprandial antihyperglycemic activity in this study, more robust testing is

		                        			Improving the reproducibility of biomedical research results is a major challenge. Transparent and accurate reporting of the research process enables readers to evaluate the reliability of the research results and further explore the experiment by repeating it or building upon its findings. The ARRIVE 2.0 guidelines, released in 2019 by the UK National Centre for the Replacement, Refinement and Reduction of Animals in Research (NC3Rs), provide a checklist that is applicable to any in vivo animal research report. These guidelines aim to improve the standardization of experimental design, implementation, and reporting, as well as enhance the reliability, repeatability, and clinical translation of animal experimental results. The use of the ARRIVE 2.0 guidelines not only enriches the details of animal experimental research reports, ensuring that information on animal experimental results is fully evaluated and utilized, but also enables readers to understand the content expressed by the author accurately and clearly, promoting the transparency and completeness of the fundamental research review process. At present, the ARRIVE 2.0 guidelines have been widely adopted by international biomedical journals. 		                        			[摘  要]  目的:探讨精氨酸-甘氨酸-天冬氨酸(RGD)修饰对肿瘤抑素19肽(T-19)抗肝癌活性的影响,比较分析T-19及RGD修饰的T-19(RGD-T-19)对肝癌SK-Hep-1细胞增殖、侵袭和迁移能力的影响。方法:用Fmoc固相法合成T-19及RGD-T-19,用高效液相色谱仪和质谱进行分离、鉴定。常规培养SK-Hep-1细胞,用0、50、100、150、200、250 mg/mL的T-19及RGD-T-19分别处理细胞,分为0 mg/mL(对照)组、50 mg/mL组、100 mg/mL组、150 mg/mL组、200 mg/mL组、250 mg/mL组。CCK-8法、克隆形成实验、划痕愈合实验和Tanswell小室实验、WB法和qPCR法分别检测SK-Hep-1细胞的增殖、迁移、侵袭能力,以及环氧合酶-2(COX-2)、基质金属蛋白酶-2(MMP-2)、MMP-9、组织基质金属蛋白酶抑制剂-1(TIMP-1)、TIMP-2蛋白和MMP-1、MMP-2 mRNA的表达。结果:经质谱鉴定,用Fmoc固相法合成的T-19及RGD-T-19纯度高。T-19和RGD-T-19均能显著抑制SK-Hep-1细胞的增殖、迁移、侵袭能力,抑制COX-2蛋白、MMP-2和MMP-9蛋白及mRNA的表达、促进TIMP-1、TIMP-2蛋白的表达(P < 0.05, P < 0.01, P < 0.001),RGD-T-19的抑制或促进效应均明显强于T-19(均P < 0.05)。结论:利用Fmoc固相法合成了纯度高、活性好的T-19及RGD-T-19,两种肽均能抑制SK-Hep-1细胞增殖、侵袭和迁移能力,RGD-T-19作用明显强于T-19。

8.Identification of cajanonic acid A metabolites in rats by UPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS

		                        			 This research established a simple, rapid and sensitive ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS) method to investigate the metabolic profiles of cajanonic acid A (CAA) in rats. After intragastric administration of CAA (30 mg·kg-1) to rats, the biological samples were detected by UPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS. Relevant data was collected and processed, the accurate mass and MS2 spectra of the metabolites were compared with the parent compound. As a result, a total of 23 metabolites were detected, including 15 in urine, 11 in bile, 11 in feces, and 9 in plasma. The major metabolic pathways related to CAA included dehydrogenation, reduction, hydroxylation, methylation and glucuronide conjugation. 		                        			[摘  要]  目的:探讨解偶联蛋白2(UCP2)抑制剂京尼平(GEN)对人下咽癌FaDu细胞增殖及线粒体功能的影响。方法:使用不同浓度的GEN作用于FaDu细胞24 h,实验分为GEN 0(对照)、50、100、200和400 μmol/L组。采用CCK-8法检测各组细胞增殖能力,DCFH-DA探针及JC-1染色联合流式细胞术检测GEN对FaDu细胞活性氧(ROS)含量及线粒体膜电位的影响,激光共聚焦显微镜观察GEN对FaDu细胞线粒体膜通透性转换孔的影响,可见分光光度法检测细胞中乳酸的含量,WB法检测细胞中UCP2蛋白的表达变化。结果:与对照组相比,GEN可显著抑制FaDu细胞的增殖活力(P<0.05或P<0.01)、细胞中UCP2蛋白的表达(P<0.05),降低线粒体膜电位(P<0.05或P<0.01)、乳酸含量(P<0.000 1),改变细胞线粒体膜孔道通透性,提高细胞中ROS水平(P<0.05或P<0.01)。结论:GEN通过调节细胞中UCP2的表达水平进而影响细胞的氧化还原能力及线粒体功能,从而发挥抑制人下咽癌FaDu细胞增殖并诱导细胞凋亡的作用。
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
10.Results of thyroid hormone levels in women

		                        			Introduction:
		                        			The average age of the population varies in every country of the world, which depends on the changes 
that occur in the body during aging and many external and internal factors that affect it. Thyroid 
hormones play an important role in ensuring and maintaining normal metabolic function throughout 
life. Our country is located in a mountainous region of the mainland, the amount of iodine in drinking 
water is low, and the amount of iodine taken from food is low, which creates the risk of iodine deficiency 
disorders. Therefore, we aimed to study how the thyroid function changes with age in Mongolian 
people.
		                        		
		                        			Goal:
		                        			A comparative study of thyroid hormone secretion levels in adult women.
		                        		
		                        			Material and Method:
		                        			In our study, 83 women over the age of 20 were selected based on the “Yu Bi Lab” diagnostic center. 
Triiodothyronine (T3), thyroxine (T4), and thyrotropin (TSH) of the women participating in the study 
were determined using the FHU method using the Magiwel ELISA diagnostic kit manufactured by 
United Biotech. 
		                        		
		                        			Results:
		                        			81 women over 20 years of age participated in our study, the average age was 44.45±14.17, and the 
participants were divided into 5 groups with 10 age intervals. 20-29 years 18% (n=15) average age 
24.6±2.64, 30-39 years 22% (n=18) average age 33.6± 3.12, 40-49 years 16% (n=13) average age 
45.15±1.67, 50-59 years 25% (n=20) average age 54.15±2.99, 60-69 years 19% (n=15) average age 
63.73± 3.05, were.
		                        		
		                        			Conclusion
		                        			
1. When comparing T3 and T4 hormones by age group, T3 hormone is higher in the 30-39 age group 
at 5.05 ng/ml. The T4 hormone gradually decreases with age.
 
2. Thyroiodin hormone increased with age. The relationship between the age of the participants 
and TSH hormone was directly related to statistical age when calculated by Pearson’s correlation
