Abstract The prevention and control of myopia in Chinese children and adolescents has become a major public health issue. While maintaining increased outdoor activity as a cornerstone intervention, there is an urgent need to explore new complementary approaches that can be effectively implemented in both indoor and outdoor settings. In recent years, environmental spatial frequency has gained increasing attention as one of the key environmental factors influencing the development and progression of myopia. Both animal studies and human research have confirmed that indoor environments lacking mid to high spatial frequency components, often characterized as "visually impoverished", can promote axial elongation and myopia through mechanisms such as disruption of retinal neural signaling, impaired accommodative function, and altered expression of related molecules. Based on the scientific consensus, it is recommended that "enriching of environmental spatial frequency" should be integrated into the myopia prevention and control framework. Following the principles of schoolled organization, family cooperation, community involvement, and student participation, specific measures are put forward in three areas：optimizing school visual settings, improving home spatial environments, and promoting healthy visual behavior. The aim is to create "visually friendly" indoor environments as an important supplement to outdoor activity, thereby providing a novel perspective and strategy for comprehensively advancing myopia prevention and control among children and adolescents.

Atherosclerosis is a chronic inflammatory disease characterized by autoimmune component,ser-ving as a primary factor in cardiovascular diseases.The atherosclerotic plaques involve a variety of immune cells which mediated complex immune and inflammatory responses at each stage of the disease's progression.Notably,within atherosclerotic plaques,T-cells,as the predominant immune cells,can be differentiated into various subsets with distinct functions.These T-cell subsets modulate the progression of atherosclerosis by se-creting either pro-inflammatory or anti-inflammatory cytokines.Understanding the impact of these immune cells on the disease's development is imperative for formulating novel therapeutic strategies.This article aims to review the roles of T-cell subsets and their secreted cytokines in atherosclerosis,aiming to offer new in-sights for the scientific research and clinical management of this condition.

Objective: To explore the effect of puberty on refractive development of children and adolescents and its interaction with outdoor activities, near work and the use of electronic products, so as to provide a reference for strategies for intervening myopia. Methods: Cluster sampling method was used to select 776 students aged 7-13 from a nine year consistent school in Shanghai to participate and were followed up for 2 years. All participants underwent cycloplegic refraction and ocular axial length measurement once a year, as well as pubertal development, average daily outdoor time, near work time and time of electronic products usage. The influencing factors and interaction effects of refractive parameters in different puberty stages were analyzed by generalized estimation equation. Results: At baseline, 634 children participated in cycloplegic refraction, of which 350 were myopic (55.2%). There were significant differences in axial length, average daily outdoor time, near work time and time of using electronic products at different stages of puberty ( F = 4.10 ，4.24，5.54，9.20， P <0.05). There was interaction between puberty and outdoor time on axial length development ( β =0.133, P < 0.05), and the interaction between puberty and the time of near work or using electronic products was not statistically significant ( P >0.05). Conclusion Puberty may play a regulatory role in the relationship between outdoor time and refractive development among Chinese children and adolescents.

Objective: Based on observational, longitudinal and intervention study of common diseases among students in Jiangsu Province, this paper presents the current progress of two year follow up of myopia cohort regarding the association between growth parameters with progression of myopia among children and adolescents in areas with rapid economic growth. Methods: This survey adopted the stratified cluster sampling method for school selection. The full automatic computer optometry (TOPCON RM800) was used to track myopia related parameters for all participants from 2019 to 2020 under the condition of mydriasis (compound topicamide eye drops). Relationship between growth parameters of children and adolescents and the incidence and progression of myopia was analyzed by using Cox regression multiple statistical model. Results: The myopia rates of students from grade 1 to grade 3 in 2019 were 5.4%, 21.5% and 37.3% respectively. After one year, the myopia rates of all school stages increased to 25.3%, 43.3% and 58.1% respectively( χ 2=53.59, 49.63, 32.52, P <0.01). The mean diopter of right eye and left eye after mydriasis were ( 0.30± 1.24/0.39±1.26)D in 2019 and (-0.33±1.54/-0.19±1.55)D in 2020, respectively based on Cox multiple regression results, age ( HR =1.21, 95% CI =1.09-1.34), naked eye vision ( HR =0.08, 95% CI =0.07-0.11), height ( HR =0.98, 95% CI =0.97-0.99) showed a strong correlation with the incidence and progression of myopia( P <0.05). Conclusion Myopia is growing rapidly in the central region of Jiangsu Province. It is suggested that diopter, axial length, naked eye vision, age, height and other indicators should be included in the refractive archives of children and adolescents in the region.

Objective: To understand the online learning related screen use duration and screen types in school aged children in Shanghai during the COVID-19 epidemic. Methods: Random clustering sampling was used to select 5 591 parents of students from 8 primary and junior schools that are in the sampling pool of the national myopia survey in districts of Jiading, Pudong and Baoshan in Shanghai in April 2020. Electronic questionnaire was administered to parents regarding their child s online learning related screen use. Results: On average, the median weekly duration of online learning related screen use was 13.33 hours, the curricular and extracurricular parts of which were 10(8.75，16.67) and 0(0，3.33) hours, respectively. About 29.44% of investigated school aged children only used small size screen for online learning. Children in higher grades, being myopic and parents neither being myopic were associated with reporting higher weekly duration( P <0.05); children in higher grades of primary school and parents neither being myopic were associated with a higher likelihood of using small size screen for online learning( P <0.05). Conclusion At the early stage of the COVID-19 epidemic, the burden associated with online learning related screen use was high in school aged children in Shanghai. Health education regarding online learning related screen use should be addressed in parents to guide their children to use screen appropriately.

Objective: To study the effects of different concentrated sulfuric acid etching durations on the shear bond strength between polyether-ketone-ketone (PEKK) and dentin, providing a scientific basis for the clinical bonding procedures of PEKK prosthesis. Methods: Forty-four PEKK specimens were prepared and randomly divided into four groups: group A was the control group, which was only polished with abrasive papers, group B, group C and group D were experimental groups, which were etched by 98% concentrated sulfuric acid for 5 s, 30 s and 60 s, respectively. In addition, one sample was randomly selected from each group, and the profile was prepared by a slow cutting machine. The surface morphology of the profile was observed under SEM. After the four groups of specimens and dentin were bonded by resin, they were soaked in distilled water at 37 ℃ for 24 h. After the shear bonding strengths were measured, the fracture interfaces of the specimens were examined by the scanning electron microscopy and stereomicroscopy, and failure models of bonding were analyzed. Results: After acid etching treatments, the cross-sectional images in group B presented uniform spongy shapes, while the cross-sectional images in group C and group D showed destructive pore structures. The shear bond strengths of group B (16.84 ± 1.84) MPa, group C (12.33 ± 1.22) MPa and group D (6.44 ± 1.18) MPa were higher than that of group A (3.99 ± 1.06) MPa (P < 0.05). The highest shear bond strength was observed in group B (16.84 ± 1.84) MPa. Conclusion The surface treatment of 98% sulfuric acid etching for 5 s manifested the best bond strength between PEKK and dentin.

Autoimmune epilepsy (AE) is a type of epilepsy mediated by autoantibodies and immune cells. The main pathogenesis of AE is that autoimmune antibodies related to AE interact with surface of nervous cell membrane antigens or intracellular antigens, which leads to the disorder of excitatory and inhibitory nervous system and causes epileptic seizures. Glutamate receptor subunit 3 peptide B antibodies (GluR3B Ab's) are one type of anti-neuron autoantibodies related to AE, and they can combine with GluR3B subunit of α-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazole-propionic acid receptor (AMPAR), which causes an increase of intracellular calcium. Intracellular calcium overload further leads to dysregulation of energy metabolism in neurons or oligodendrocyte progenitor cells (OPCs). The damage of neurons or OPCs eventually trigger seizure. Here, we mainly discuss the mechanisms of GluR3B Ab's involving in the development of autoimmune epilepsy.

Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of treatment for deep burn wound on finger by proper digital artery flap.Methods From March 2013 to October 2016, 24 patients with deep burn wound on finger were treated by proper digital artery flap.Postoperative observation included wound repair, flap survival, complications and functional recovery of fingers.Results All the 24 flaps survived and no necrosis happened.The marginal abnormal circulation of flap occurred in only 5 cases, which cured by dress changing.All flaps kept well in contour, skin color, temperature and texture.Movement function of donor and recipient fingers was nearly normal.Conclusion Proper digital artery flap avoided the deficiencies distant pedicled flap, so it is a favorite choice for digital soft tissue defect caused by deep burn injury.
