1.Impact of physical self-efficacy on physical activity and physical health among university students

		                        			Objective:
		                        			To investigate the impact of physical self-efficacy on physical activity and physical health among university students, so as to provide insights into formulation of the strategy to improve physical activity and physical health among university students.
		                        		
		                        			Methods:
		                        			Freshmen and sophomores were sampled from a university in Guangzhou City using a convenience sampling method from December 2021 to April 2022. Students' demographics and types of sport exercises were collected using questionnaire surveys. Physical self-efficacy was tested using the Physical Self-efficacy Scale, and physical activity was measured using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Short, while physical health was evaluated using the school physical health standard test. The associations of physical self-efficacy with physical activity and physical health were examined using a multivariable logistic regression model. 
		                        		
		                        			Results:
		                        			Totally 4 171 questionnaires were allocated, and 3 811 valid questionnaires were recovered, with a effective recovery rate of 91.37%. The respondents included 1 582 males (41.51%) and 2 229 females (58.49%), and included 1 967 freshmen (51.61%) and 1 844 sophomores (48.39%). The median score of physical self-efficacy was 36 (interquartile range, 7) points, and there were 1 777 students reaching the national standard of physical activity (46.63%) and 1 112 students with excellent and good physical health (29.18%). Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that physical self-efficacy was a promoting factor for the proportion of reaching the national standard of physical activity (OR=1.054, 95%CI: 1.043-1.064) and excellent and good physical health (OR=1.109, 95%CI: 1.096-1.122) after adjustment for gender, grade, specialty and source of students. 
		                        		
		                        			Conclusion
		                        			The improvement of physical self-efficacy may increase the proportion of reaching the national standard of physical activity and excellent and good physical health among university students.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
2. Research progress in noncoding RNAs and cardiac fibrosis

		                        			 Myocardial fibrosis is a common pathological feature in various advanced cardiovascular diseases, and progressive fibrosis is the pathological basis for the development and progression of many cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure. There are no effective reversal drugs for myocardial fibrosis, which is related to the lack of understanding of the molecular mechanisms. Noncoding RNAs are a class of RNAs that do not function as coding proteins, and have been found to be intimately involved in the life cycle of cardiomyocyte differentiation, transcription and apoptosis, and are important regulators of cardiovascular diseases. An increasing number of studies have shown that noncoding RNAs regulate the proliferation and transformation of cardiac fibroblasts through related signaling pathways and can be used as potential biomarkers and novel therapeutic targets for cardiac fibrosis. 3.Human Gingival Stem Cells Prevent Diabetes in NOD Mice by Reducing Follicular B Cells

		                        			BackgroundType 1 diabetes is caused by a chronic immune response that destroys islet beta cells, resulting in elevated blood glucose. Mesenchymal stem cells can prevent and treat the development of diabetes and its complications. However, little is known about the effects and potential mechanisms of Gingival mesenchymal stem cells (GMSCs) in preventing diabetes. The aim of this study is to investigate the mechanism of GMSCs in preventing type 1 diabetes in mice and to find targets for clinical treatment of diabetes. MethodsWe injected human GMSCs into NOD mice to observe the trend of blood glucose, observed the survival of pancreatic β-cells by immunohistochemistry, and detected the change of immune cells in the spleen of mice by flow analysis. Finally, the immune cells in NOD mice were transfused into NOD-SCID mice to observe the onset of diabetes in NOD-SCID mice. ResultsGMSCs significantly reduced the incidence of diabetes in NOD mice, with 64% of control mice developing diabetes at 27 weeks of age compared with 35% in the GMSC group, P=0.013. The percentage of Follicular B cells(FO B cell) in the spleen of GMSCs-treated mice decreased from (52.2±4.1)% to (43.2±5.3)%, P=0.008, while other types of immune cells did not change significantly. The immunohistochemical results showed that GMSCs could effectively improve the survival of pancreatic β-cells, which could continuously produce insulin to control blood glucose. Finally, we found the spleen cells transfusion could prevent the development of diabetes in NOD-SCID mice. 4.Effects of informatization traceability management combined with performance assessment in nursing management of Disinfection Supply Center

		                        			Objective:To explore the effects of informatization traceability management combined with performance assessment in the nursing management of Disinfection Supply Center.Methods:In March 2021, the Disinfection Supply Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University implemented the informatization traceability management combined with performance assessment. Convenient sampling method was used to select 172 medical devices disinfected and sterilized by the Disinfection Supply Center before implementation (from March 2020 to February 2021) and 166 medical devices disinfected and sterilized by the Disinfection Supply Center after implementation (from March 2021 to February 2022) for statistical analysis. We compared the cleaning qualified rate, sterilization qualified rate, packaging qualified rate, distribution qualified rate, management effects, adverse event rate of device management, and performance assessment results before and after the implementation of the informatization traceability management combined with performance assessment.Results:The cleaning qualified rate, packaging qualified rate and distribution qualified rate after implementation were higher than those before implementation, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05) . The recovery and classification time, device information registration time, ex-warehouse inspection time and manual operation time after implementation were shorter than those before implementation, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05) . The device damage rate, label error rate and device loss rate after implementation were lower than those before implementation with statistical differences ( P<0.05) . The scores of theoretical assessment and operational skill assessment after implementation were higher than those before implementation with statistical differences ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:The combination of informatization traceability management and performance assessment can improve the nursing management effects of the Disinfection Supply Center, significantly increase the qualified rate of cleaning, packaging and distribution, and boost the performance assessment results of nurses, which helps to reduce the incidence of adverse events in device management.

		                        			Objective: To investigate the incidence and trend of short-term outcomes among preterm infants born <34 weeks' gestation. Methods: A secondary analysis of data from the standardized database established by a multicenter cluster-randomized controlled study "reduction of infection in neonatal intensive care units (NICU) using the evidence-based practice for improving quality (REIN-EPIQ) study". This study was conducted in 25 tertiary NICU. A total of 27 192 infants with gestational age <34 weeks at birth and admitted to NICU within the first 7 days of life from May 2015 to April 2018 were enrolled. Infants with severe congenital malformation were excluded. Descriptive analyses were used to describe the mortality and major morbidities of preterm infants by gestational age groups and different admission year groups. Cochran-Armitage test and Jonckheere-Terpstra test were used to analyze the trend of incidences of mortality and morbidities in 3 study-years. Multiple Logistic regression model was constructed to analyze the differences of outcomes in 3 study-years adjusting for confounders. Results: A total of 27 192 preterm infants were enrolled with gestational age of (31.3±2.0) weeks at birth and weight of (1 617±415) g at birth. Overall, 9.5% (2 594/27 192) of infants were discharged against medical advice, and the overall mortality rate was 10.7% (2 907/27 192). Mortality for infants who received complete care was 4.7% (1 147/24 598), and mortality or any major morbidity was 26.2% (6 452/24 598). The incidences of moderate to severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia, sepsis, severe intraventricular hemorrhage or periventricular leukomalacia, proven necrotizing enterocolitis, and severe retinopathy of prematurity were 16.0% (4 342/27 192), 11.9% (3 225/27 192), 6.8% (1 641/24 206), 3.6% (939/25 762) and 1.5% (214/13 868), respectively. There was a decreasing of the overall mortality (P<0.001) during the 3 years. Also, the incidences for sepsis and severe retinopathy of prematurity both decreased (both P<0.001). However, there were no significant differences in the major morbidity in preterm infants who received complete care during the 3-year study period (P=0.230). After adjusting for confounders, infants admitted during the third study year showed significantly lower risk of overall mortality (adjust OR=0.62, 95%CI 0.55-0.69, P<0.001), mortality or major morbidity, moderate to severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia, sepsis and severe retinopathy of prematurity, compared to those admitted in the first study year (all P<0.05). Conclusions: From 2015 to 2018, the mortality and major morbidities among preterm infants in Chinese NICU decreased, but there is still space for further efforts. 6.Pre-treatment drug resistance of newly reported HIV-1 infected individuals in Wenzhou

		                        			To know the pre-treatment drug resistance ( PDR ) status of newly reported human immunodeficiency virus type 1 ( HIV-1 ) infected individuals in Wenzhou, so as to provide guidance for antiretroviral therapy ( ART ). 
		                        		
		                        			Methods:
		                        			 Totally 232 plasma samples of newly reported HIV-1 infected individuals who had not received ART were collected in Wenzhou in 2019. Virus ( HIV-1 ) RNA was extracted, followed by reverse transcription PCR and nested PCR to amplify the pol region and sequence. Resistance mutations and resistance to non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors ( NNRTIs ), nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors ( NRTIs ) and protease inhibitors ( PIs ) was analyzed.
		                        		
		                        			Results:
		                        			The pol region sequences from 199 infected patients were obtained and the incidence of PDR was 8.04% ( 16/199 ). Eight genotypes were detected, including circulating recombinant forms ( CRFs ) CRF07_BC ( 47.24%, 94/199 ) and CRF01_AE ( 29.15%, 58/199 ) which were the dominant types. Two unique recombinant forms ( URFs ) were detected, namely URF( CRF01_AE/BC ) and URF( B/C ) . Thirty-one cases ( 15.58% 31/199 ) had drug-resistant mutations. For NNRTIs, NRTIs and PIs, 20 cases ( 64.52% ) , 2 cases ( 6.45% ) and 9 cases ( 29.03% ) with drug resistance mutations were detected, respectively. The resistance mutations to NNRTIs included K101E, K103N/R, V106I, E138K, V179D/E/T, Y181C, G190A and H221Y. Four cases each had two resistance mutations to NNRTIs. The resistance mutations to NRTIs were V75M and M184V. The resistance mutations to PIs were M46I, L33F and Q58E. For the newly released NNRTI drug Doravirine ( DOR ), two cases were found to have mutations of resistance. 
		                        		
		                        			Conclusions
		                        			The incidence of PDR among newly reported HIV-1 patients in Wenzhou is 8.04%, mainly caused by NNRTIs drug-resistant mutation. Resistance to the new drug DOR has emerged. 		                        			OBJECTIVE:
		                        			To investigate the clinical features and outcome of neonatal acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) in southwest Hubei, China.
		                        		
		                        			METHODS:
		                        			According to the Montreux definition of neonatal ARDS, a retrospective clinical epidemiological investigation was performed on the medical data of neonates with ARDS who were admitted to Department of Neonatology/Pediatrics in 17 level 2 or level 3 hospitals in southwest Hubei from January to December, 2017.
		                        		
		                        			RESULTS:
		                        			A total of 7 150 neonates were admitted to the 17 hospitals in southwest Hubei during 2017 and 66 (0.92%) were diagnosed with ARDS. Among the 66 neonates with ARDS, 23 (35%) had mild ARDS, 28 (42%) had moderate ARDS, and 15 (23%) had severe ARDS. The main primary diseases for neonatal ARDS were perinatal asphyxia in 23 neonates (35%), pneumonia in 18 neonates (27%), sepsis in 12 neonates (18%), and meconium aspiration syndrome in 10 neonates (15%). Among the 66 neonates with ARDS, 10 neonates (15%) were born to the mothers with an age of ≥35 years, 30 neonates (45%) suffered from intrauterine distress, 32 neonates (49%) had a 1-minute Apgar score of 0 to 7 points, 24 neonates (36%) had abnormal fetal heart monitoring results, and 21 neonates (32%) experienced meconium staining of amniotic fluid. Intraventricular hemorrhage was the most common comorbidity (12 neonates), followed by neonatal shock (9 neonates) and patent ductus arteriosus (8 neonates). All 66 neonates with ARDS were treated with mechanical ventilation in addition to the treatment for primary diseases. Among the 66 neonates with ARDS, 10 died, with a mortality rate of 15% (10/66), and 56 neonates were improved or cured, with a survival rate of 85% (56/66).
		                        		
		                        			CONCLUSIONS
		                        			Neonatal ARDS in southwest Hubei is mostly mild or moderate. Perinatal asphyxia and infection may be the main causes of neonatal ARDS in this area. Intraventricular hemorrhage is the most common comorbidity. 8. Practice and consideration on teaching of military flying labor hygiene

		                        			 Military flying labor hygiene is a discipline that focuses on influences of special flight environment and labor condition on human body and related prevent measures, with the core of flight fatigue. Health information and technique training can help flight surgeons to enhance professional competency and improve the prevention and recovery of military flying fatigue. The course construction of teaching system in this study included survey of demand, arrangement of content, identification of strategy, determination of evaluation, and feedback of results. Meanwhile, the textbook compilation, cultivation of teaching team and construction of laboratory were also needed. After a 4-year practice, a formal teaching system has been established and its teaching effectiveness has basically fulfilled the professional requirement for flight surgeons. 
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
9.2018 DMPK research progress in China

		                        			 This paper summarizes research progresses of Chinese scholars in the field of drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK) in 2018. Chinese scholars focused on drug metabolizing enzymes and transporters, and carried out studies on the mechanisms of drug metabolism and transport of active molecules. Topics of research included regulatory mechanisms of drug metabolizing enzymes or transporters, and their implications in drug development and disease etiology or progression. Here, we summarized studies on drug toxicity based on drug metabolism or transport, rational drug use in the clinic, drug metabolism mediated by intestinal flora, metabolism of traditional Chinese medicines, and new technologies or models in DMPK. In recent years, the research focus of drug metabolism in China has transformed from serving for new drug discovery and rational use, to innovation driven and mechanism oriented research. 10.Incidence of neonatal asphyxia and contributing factors for the develpment of severe asphyxia in Hubei Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture: a multicenter study.

		                        			OBJECTIVE:
		                        			To investigate the incidence of neonatal asphyxia and possible contributing factors for the development of severe asphyxia in Hubei Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, China.
		                        		
		                        			METHODS:
		                        			A total of 16 hospitals in Hubei Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture were selected as research centers. A retrospective analysis was performed for the clinical data of 22 294 live births in these 16 hospitals from January to December, 2016 to investigate the incidence rate of neonatal asphyxia and possible contributing factors for the development of severe asphyxia.
		                        		
		                        			RESULTS:
		                        			Of the 22 294 neonates born alive, 733 (3.29%) were diagnosed with neonatal asphyxia, among whom 627 had mild asphyxia and 106 had severe asphyxia. The neonates with low maternal education level, maternal anemia during pregnancy, chorioamnionitis, abnormal amniotic fluid, abnormal umbilical cord, placenta previa, placental abruption, Tujia Minority, preterm birth, and low birth weight had a higher incidence of severe asphyxia (P<0.05).
		                        		
		                        			CONCLUSIONS
		                        			The incidence rate of neonatal asphyxia in Hubei Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture is higher. Low maternal education level, maternal anemia during pregnancy, chorioamnionitis, abnormal amniotic fluid, abnormal umbilical cord, placenta previa, placental abruption, Tujia Minority, preterm birth, and low birth weight may be related to the development of severe neonatal asphyxia.
