		                        			Acute pancreatitis is a common surgical emergency characterized by severe local or systemic complications during its progression. Diseases of the biliary system are among the serious local complications of acute pancreatitis, primarily including acute acalculous cholecystitis (AAC) and biliary stricture. AAC often occurs in the later stages of acute pancreatitis, exacerbating systemic inflammation and leading to organ failure and life-threatening conditions in severe cases. Biliary stricture is a rare but serious long-term complication of acute pancreatitis, which can induce cholangitis, progressive liver function impairment, and secondary biliary cirrhosis. Due to the clinical symptoms of acute pancreatitis that can mask biliary system diseases, some patients may not receive timely diagnosis and treatment for concurrent biliary issues during the onset of acute pancreatitis, which can be life-threatening in severe cases. Currently, the ideal treatment strategy for biliary system complications secondary to acute pancreatitis remains unclear, lacking definitive guidelines or consensus. 3.Intelligent handheld ultrasound improving the ability of non-expert general practitioners in carotid examinations for community populations: a prospective and parallel controlled trial

		                        			The aim of this study was to investigate the feasibility of an intelligent handheld ultrasound (US) device for assisting non-expert general practitioners (GPs) in detecting carotid plaques (CPs) in community populations. 
		                        		
		                        			Methods:
		                        			This prospective parallel controlled trial recruited 111 consecutive community residents. All of them underwent examinations by non-expert GPs and specialist doctors using handheld US devices (setting A, setting B, and setting C). The results of setting C with specialist doctors were considered the gold standard. Carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT) and the features of CPs were measured and recorded. The diagnostic performance of GPs in distinguishing CPs was evaluated using a receiver operating characteristic curve. Inter-observer agreement was compared using the intragroup correlation coefficient (ICC). Questionnaires were completed to evaluate clinical benefits. 
		                        		
		                        			Results:
		                        			Among the 111 community residents, 80, 96, and 112 CPs were detected in settings A, B, and C, respectively. Setting B exhibited better diagnostic performance than setting A for detecting CPs (area under the curve, 0.856 vs. 0.749; P<0.01). Setting B had better consistency with setting C than setting A in CIMT measurement and the assessment of CPs (ICC, 0.731 to 0.923). Moreover, measurements in setting B required less time than the other two settings (44.59 seconds vs. 108.87 seconds vs. 126.13 seconds, both P<0.01). 
		                        		
		                        			Conclusion

8.Distribution characteristics of sIgE antibodies against four components of egg white in children with egg allergy

		                        			Objective To investigate the distribution characteristics of serum sIgE antibodies against four allergenic protein components of egg white in children with egg allergy,and then clarify the clinical application value of single component-resolved diagnostics of egg allergy.Methods Serum samples from 197 children with egg allergy were collected.The levels of serum sIgE antibodies against four major allergenic protein components of egg white,including ovomucin,ovalbumin,ovotransferrin,and lysozyme,were detected by the light-excited chemiluminescence assay(LiCA),and the distribution characteristics of sIgE antibodies were analyzed.Results The positive rates of serum sIgE antibodies against ovalbumin,ovomucin,ovotransferrin,and lysozyme in 197 chlidren with egg allergy were 77.16%(152/197),70.56%(139/197),35.02%(69/197),and 18.27%(36/197),respectively.The positive rate of serum sIgE antibody against both ovomucin and ovalbumin was 30.45%.There was a weak correlation between the levels of sIgE antibodies against egg and the cumulative levels of sIgE antibodies against four allergenic protein components(r=0.266 8,P<0.05).There were signifi-cant individual differences in the levels of serum sIgE antibodies against four allergenic protein components of egg white in the children with egg allergy.Conclusion There is individual heterogeneity in the levels of serum sIgE antibodies against four components of egg white in the children with egg allergy.The detection of sIgE antibodies against egg white components can distinguish different forms of egg allergies,which is of great value for the accurate diagnosis and precise desensitization of children's egg allergy.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
9.Shear wave elastography for evaluating hepatic iron overload in children with β-thalassemia major:Correlations with MR T2* value and serum ferritin

		                        			Objective To observe the value of shear wave elastography(SWE)for evaluating hepatic iron overload in children with β-thalassemia major(β-TM),as well as the correlations of relative parameters with MR T2*value and serum ferritin.Methods Totally 96 children with β-TM and 100 healthy children(control group)were retrospectively enrolled.Children with β-TM were divided into hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(HSCT)group(n=41)or non-HSCT group(n=55)according to underwent HSCT or not.SWE parameters were compared among groups.Spearman correlation was performed to observe the correlations of liver shear wave velocity with MR T2*value and serum ferritin,as well as Young's modulus with MR T2*value and serum ferritin in children with β-TM.Results Liver shear wave velocity(LSWV)and Young's modulus in HSCT group and non-HSCT group were all higher than those in control group(all P<0.001).No significant difference of LSWV nor Young's modulus was found between HSCT group and non-HSCT group(both P>0.05).SWE parameters of children with β-TM were moderately and negatively correlated with MR T2*value(r=-0.501,P<0.05;r=-0.514,P<0.05),while weakly and positively correlated with serum ferritin(r=0.488,P<0.05;r=0.470,P<0.05).Conclusion SWE was helpful for evaluating hepatic iron overload in children with β-TM,with parameters being negatively correlated with MR T2*value and positively correlated with serum ferritin.

		                        			Haemosuccus pancreaticus (HP) as a rare cause of upper gastrointestinal bleeding is rarely reported. Due to the intermittent bleeding and lack of standardized diagnostic methods, pancreatic bleeding is often misdiagnosed and can be life-threatening in severe cases. Currently, angiography is the "gold standard" for diagnosis among commonly used diagnostic methods. In addition to vascular embolization and surgical treatment, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) -guided vascular therapy as an emerging treatment method is also gradually being used in clinical practice, with great potential to become the preferred treatment for subsequent cases.
