Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of thermal tomography in breast cancer (BC) screening. Methods We conducted a general population-based BC screening in three regions of Hubei Province (Xiantao, Hongan, and Yangxin Districts). Participants underwent a questionnaire-based interview for baseline data collection. They then received a physical examination, thermal tomography, and ultrasound from doctors and technicians. We compared the efficacies, including sensitivity, specificity, and false-positive rates, of ultrasound and thermal tomography in BC screening. Objective To analyze the clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis of oligodendroglioma with IDH mutation and 1p/19q codeletion. Methods We collected the data of 54 oligodendroglioma patients with IDH mutation and 1p/19q codeletion.The patients'clinicopathological data, including age, histological grade, and tumor site, were analyzed for the effects on progression-free and overall survival. Results Among the 54 patients, 46 cases were with tumor sites in one lobe, and eight cases involved tumor sites in more than two lobes.A total of 12 and 42 cases had WHO grades 2 and 3 oligodendroglioma, respectively.Detection by fluorescence
3.Reliability of Pod Shape Diagram from Caloric Test in Vertigo Patients

Objective To understand the reliability of caloric test results through the analysis of the pod shape dia-gram types of caloric test and to provide a more accurate and reliable basis for vestibular system function evaluation.Meth-ods The results of caloric test in 528 patients from July 2021 to May 2022 in vertigo diagnosis and treatment center were analyzed.According to pod pattern and unilateral weakness(UW),the patients were divided into five groups:cold and warm test symmetrical group,left and right side asymmetry group,single value significant abnormal group,bilateral hypo-plasia group and pod morphology unable to be classified group.Unreliable data can be identified by comparing,explaining,and summarizing the results of UW of different groups,so as to reduce the interference of unreliable data to clinical diagno-sis and treatment.Results Cold and warm test symmetric group(n=439)included patients with symmetry of bilateral vestibular function(n=273)and decreased vestibular function of one side(n=166).Left and right symmetrical groups in-eluded pationts with bilateral symmetric vestibular function(n=11)and unilateral reduction(n=13).Single value signifi-cant abnormal group showed cases with unilateral vestibular function reduction(n=25)and bilateral symmetric vestibular function(n=11).Bilateral hypolasion group showed cases with bilateral symmetric vestibular function(n=25)and unilat-eral reduction(n=9).Pod morphology unclassified group(n=5)suggested varions interference factors.Conduson When the function of the peripheral vestibular is symmetrical and normal,we should be alert to the existence of temperature effect,and should consider the inspection of the perfusion apparatus and the calibration of the irrigation temperature.When the function of the peripheral vestibular shows unilateral weakness,repeating the irrigation is recommended when the single value of the caloric test significantly increases or decreases.If there is no change,repeating the irrigation at the same tem-perature in the other ear or even repeating the whole caloric test are recommended.The UW value could not truly reflect the state of peripheral vestibular function when the caoric test produces bilateral weakness.Therefore,water irrigation could be used to make a correct judgment based on the medical history and other auxiliary examinations.It is of great significance to judge the effectiveness of caloric test comprehensively by combining the morphology of pod diagram with UW value.
4.Current status of AIDS knowledge, attitudes, practices and associated factors of high risk sexual behavior among college students in Tianjin City

Objective:
To understand the current status of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) knowledge, attitudes, and practices of college students in Tianjin City and to further investigate the associated factors of high risk sexual behaviors, so as to provide a scientific and theoretical basis for accurate prevention and treatment of AIDS.
Methods:
A stratified cluster random sample of 64 697 students in 56 colleges and universities in Tianjin City in November to December 2022 was investigated about the current status of AIDS knowledge, attitudes and practices. Information was collected using online survey via Questionnaire Star. Descriptive analysis was used for the current status of AIDS knowledge, attitudes and practices among college students. Chi square test and multiple Logistic regression analysis were used to analyze the influencing factors of high risk sexual behavior among college students.
Results:
The AIDS awareness rate of college students in Tianjin City reached 87.33%. The sexual openness rate was 70.73 %. Among the 3 463 students who had sex during the past year, 42.13% of students reported high risk sexual behavior. Multivariate Logistic regression showed that female, having a romantic partner, having received sex education and prevention and treatment knowledge of AIDS were negatively associated with high risk sexual behavior ( OR =0.66, 0.59, 0.81, 0.59, P <0.05). Being in sophomore year, non heterosexuality (homosexuality, bisexuality, not knowing), prejudice against AIDS, and misunderstanding the testing methods for AIDS showed positive correlations with highrisk sexual behavior ( OR =1.22, 2.49, 2.30, 3.17, 1.43, 1.22 , P <0.05).
Conclusions
The awareness rate of AIDS in college students in Tianjin is high, but high risk sexual behaviors are still at a high level. Further targeted knowledge education and behavioral interventions are needed to scientifically prevent the spread of AIDS.
5.Deep learning models for automatic classification of echocardiographic views

Objective To observe the value of deep learning(DL)models for automatic classification of echocardiographic views.Methods Totally 100 patients after heart transplantation were retrospectively enrolled and divided into training set,validation set and test set at a ratio of 7∶2∶1.ResNet18,ResNet34,Swin Transformer and Swin Transformer V2 models were established based on 2D apical two chamber view,2D apical three chamber view,2D apical four chamber view,2D subcostal view,parasternal long-axis view of left ventricle,short-axis view of great arteries,short-axis view of apex of left ventricle,short-axis view of papillary muscle of left ventricle,short-axis view of mitral valve of left ventricle,also 3D and CDFI views of echocardiography.The accuracy,precision,recall,F1 score and confusion matrix were used to evaluate the performance of each model for automatically classifying echocardiographic views.The interactive interface was designed based on Qt Designer software and deployed on the desktop.Results The performance of models for automatically classifying echocardiographic views in test set were all good,with relatively poor performance for 2D short-axis view of left ventricle and superior performance for 3D and CDFI views.Swin Transformer V2 was the optimal model for automatically classifying echocardiographic views,with high accuracy,precision,recall and F1 score was 92.56%,89.01%,89.97%and 89.31%,respectively,which also had the highest diagonal value in confusion matrix and showed the best classification effect on various views in t-SNE figure.Conclusion DL model had good performance for automatically classifying echocardiographic views,especially Swin Transformer V2 model had the best performance.Using interactive classification interface could improve the interpretability of prediction results to some extent.
6.4D bioprinting technology and its application in cardiovascular tissue engineering.

3D bioprinting technology is a rapidly developing technique that employs bioinks containing biological materials and living cells to construct biomedical products. However, 3D-printed tissues are static, while human tissues are in real-time dynamic states that can change in morphology and performance. To improve the compatibility between in vitro and in vivo environments, an in vitro tissue engineering technique that simulates this dynamic process is required. The concept of 4D printing, which combines "3D printing + time" provides a new approach to achieving this complex technique. 4D printing involves applying one or more smart materials that respond to stimuli, enabling them to change their shape, performance, and function under the corresponding stimulus to meet various needs. This article focuses on the latest research progress and potential application areas of 4D printing technology in the cardiovascular system, providing a theoretical and practical reference for the development of this technology.

7.Short-term clinical and echocardiographic outcomes of the novel domestic transcatheter edge-to-edge repair Neonova? system in patients with mitral regurgitation

Objective:To investigate short-term safety, efficacy and the learning curve of this self-developed novel transcatheter valve repair system (Neonova?) in patients with mitral regurgitation, and explore the role of perioperative echocardiography.Methods:Ten patients who visited the Union Hospital of Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology from June 2021 to March 2022 and met the inclusive criteria were prospectively enrolled. All the patients were at high risk of surgery with moderate to severe or severe mitral regurgitation (MR). Clamps of Neonova? were implanted under guidance of transesophageal echocardiography and digital subtraction angiography. Clinical outcomes, echocardiography indexes and learning curves of this technique were evaluated immediately after intervention, 7 d, 1 month and 3 months post-intervention.Results:The technical success rate was 100% with MR relieved in all patients immediately after intervention. The device and procedural success rates were both 90.0% with 1 patient received surgical replacement at 37 days post-intervention while the others′ reduced to mild (8/9) and moderate (1/9) MR. New York Heart Association class and the Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire improved significantly (all P<0.001). Mean mitral valve pressure gradient didn′t increase significantly after intervention when compared with that before intervention( P=0.324), and no mitral stenosis was observed. Left ventricular end-diastolic diameter decreased significantly ( P=0.008) during follow up.Procedure duration ranged from 60 to 300 (175.8±75.2)minutes. The simple linear regression model between procedure volume and duration showed that procedure duration decreased significantly with the increase of procedure volume ( F=15.857, P=0.004). Conclusions:Neonova? implantation can improve MR severity and clinical symptoms safely and effectively. Transthoracic echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography are essential for perioperative management of transcatheter mitral valve repair.
8.Expert consensus on the diagnosis of isolated otolith dysfunction.

Isolated otolith dysfunction(iOD) involves a group of unexplained vestibular syndromes that manifest clinically as a sense of translation, tilting or floating, and blurred vision with head movement, with normal semicircular canal function but abnormal otolith function on laboratory vestibular testing. As vestibular medicine has gained widespread popularity in recent years, increasing attention has also been paid to iOD and case reports, clinical studies and diagnostic criteria have been published. However, there is no consensus document to guide the diagnosis of this disease in China. In this context, the Special Committee on Vertigo of China Medical Education Association organized a group of domestic experts in vestibular medicine and formulated this diagnostic consensus after thorough discussion based on the latest evidence in China and abroad, in order to promote the best clinical practice for iOD.

9.NDFIP1 limits cellular TAZ accumulation via exosomal sorting to inhibit NSCLC proliferation.

NDFIP1 has been previously reported as a tumor suppressor in multiple solid tumors, but the function of NDFIP1 in NSCLC and the underlying mechanism are still unknown. Besides, the WW domain containing proteins can be recognized by NDFIP1, resulted in the loading of the target proteins into exosomes. However, whether WW domain-containing transcription regulator 1 (WWTR1, also known as TAZ) can be packaged into exosomes by NDFIP1 and if so, whether the release of this oncogenic protein via exosomes has an effect on tumor development has not been investigated to any extent. Here, we first found that NDFIP1 was low expressed in NSCLC samples and cell lines, which is associated with shorter OS. Then, we confirmed the interaction between TAZ and NDFIP1, and the existence of TAZ in exosomes, which requires NDFIP1. Critically, knockout of NDFIP1 led to TAZ accumulation with no change in its mRNA level and degradation rate. And the cellular TAZ level could be altered by exosome secretion. Furthermore, NDFIP1 inhibited proliferation in vitro and in vivo, and silencing TAZ eliminated the increase of proliferation caused by NDFIP1 knockout. Moreover, TAZ was negatively correlated with NDFIP1 in subcutaneous xenograft model and clinical samples, and the serum exosomal TAZ level was lower in NSCLC patients. In summary, our data uncover a new tumor suppressor, NDFIP1 in NSCLC, and a new exosome-related regulatory mechanism of TAZ.

10.Analysis of newly diagnosed HIV infection and influencing factors among men who have sex with men in gay bathhouses in Tianjin

Objective:To analyze the newly diagnosed HIV infections and influencing factors among MSM (men who have sex with men) in gay bathhouses in Tianjin and to provide evidence for taking preventive interventions to reduce HIV infections in this population.Methods:Male individuals who sought sexual partners in gay bathhouses and engaged in insertive oral or anal sex with men within the past year were targeted. An open cohort was formed from March 2011 to December 2021 for HIV testing and baseline investigation, followed by follow-ups and screenings. The survey included demographic data and information related to AIDS behaviors. The differences between single-testing and multiple-testing groups were compared, and the positivity rate and incidence rate of new infections in the multiple-testing group were calculated. The Cox proportional hazards regression model was used to analyze the factors influencing the incidence rate of new HIV infections. EpiData 3.02 was used for database construction and SAS 9.4 for statistical analysis.Results:During the research period, 12 195 tests were conducted, involving 7 151 subjects. Among them, primarily those aged ≥30 years (70.18%) and non-local residents (61.32%), with ages ranging from 16 to 82, and M ( Q1, Q3) of age was 36 (28,48), 547 tested positive. Compared to the single-testing group, the multiple-testing group had higher proportions of local residents, married/cohabiting individuals, recent anal intercourse, peer education acceptance, and those diagnosed with an STD in the last year, but a lower proportion of consistent condom usage in recent same-sex encounters. The positivity rate during this period was 7.65% (95% CI: 7.00%-8.00%), declining from 12.58% in 2011 to 3.31% in 2021. A total of 1 740 subjects were included in the open cohort with a cumulative follow-up time of 4 688.61 person-years, with 144 new HIV infections identified. The incidence rate of new infections was 3.07/100 person-years (95% CI: 2.57/100 person-years- 3.57/100 person-years). Multifactorial Cox regression analysis revealed that non-local subjects (a HR=1.32,95% CI:1.19-1.45) and those engaged in group sex with the same gender in the last six months (a HR=1.18,95% CI:1.02-1.36) had higher risks of new HIV infections. Conclusions:MSM in gay bathhouses in Tianjin commonly engage in unsafe sexual behaviors like group sex, emphasizing the need for increased awareness, intervention efforts, and collaboration with MSM community organizations for peer education and proactive HIV testing in gay bathhouses. Moreover, exploring new methods to reduce new HIV infections among MSM is necessary.
