Aromatherapy refers to the method of using the aromatic components of plants in appropriate forms to act on the entire body or a specific area to prevent and treat diseases. Essential oils used in aromatherapy are hydrophobic liquids containing volatile aromatic molecules, such as limonene, linalool, linalool acetate, geraniol, and citronellol. These chemicals have been extensively studied and shown to have a variety of functions, including reducing anxiety, relieving depression, promoting sleep, and providing pain relief. Terpenoids are a class of organic molecules with relatively low lipid solubility. After being inhaled, they can pass through the nasal mucosa for transfer or penetrate the skin and enter the bloodstream upon local application. Some of these substances also have the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier, thereby exerting effects on the central nervous system. Currently, the academic community generally agrees that products such as essential oils and aromatherapy from aromatic plants have certain health benefits. However, the process of extracting a single component from it and successfully developing it into a drug still faces many challenges. Its safety and efficacy still need to be further verified through more rigorous and systematic experiments. This article systematically elaborated on the efficacy of aromatic substances, including plant extracts and natural small molecule compounds, in antibacterial and antiviral fields and the regulation of nervous system activity. As a result, a deeper understanding of aromatherapy was achieved. At the same time, the potential of these aromatic substances for drug development was thoroughly explored, providing important references and insights for possible future drug research and application.

Objectives:To explore the impact of intensive lipid-lowering strategy on short-term prognosis of acute coronary syndrome(ACS)patients with multi-vessel disease. Methods:A total of 136 ACS patients with multi-vessel disease who received coronary stenting at Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University from August 2019 to November 2020 were enrolled in this study.Patients were divided into intensive lipid-lowering group(control low density lipoprotein cholesterol[LDL-C]below 1.0 mmol/L within 3 months, and continuously meet the standards within 12 months,n=69)or standard lipid-lowering group(gradually control LDL-C below 1.4 mmol/L within one year,n=67).The total cholesterol(TC),triglycerides(TG),LDL-C,high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),and lipoprotein(a)(Lp[a])data were collected.Incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events(MACE,including cardiac death, myocardial infarction, target vessel revascularization and stroke)were observed during 12 months of follow up. Results:The baseline data of the intensive lipid-lowering group and the standard lipid-lowering group were consistent before intervention. At the timeline of enrollment, there was no statistically significant difference in the blood lipid profiles(including TC,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C)between the two groups. After 3-months,patients in the intensive lipid-lowering group experienced significantly lower TC,TG,LDL-C and Lp(a)compared with baseline values(all P<0.05),while HDL-C remained unchanged(P>0.05).The standard lipid-lowering group showed a significant decrease in TC and LDL-C compared with baseline values(both P<0.05).The TC and LDL-C levels were significantly lower in the intensive lipid-lowering group than in the standard lipid-lowering group at 3/6/12 months follow up after discharge(all P<0.01).At 12 months follow-up,Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that the incidence of MACE was significantly lower in the intensive lipid-lowering group than in the standard lipid-lowering group(2.90%vs.14.93%,χ2=6.090,P=0.014).Multiple Cox regression analysis revealed that the intensive lipid-lowering strategy significantly reduced the risk of MACE compared with the standard lipid-lowering strategy(HR=0.177,95%CI:0.037-0.838,P=0.029). Conclusions:Our data show that intensive lipid-lowering strategy may probably reduce the incidence of short-term MACE in ASC patients with multi-vessel disease.Large-scale prospective multi-center studies are needed to further validate these results.

		                        			OBJECTIVE
To identify, synthesize and analyze the structure of unknown impurities unique to bromhexine hydrochloride injection and set the impurities as known impurity to control.
METHODS
The structure of unknown impurities was derived through two-dimensional liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry(2DLC-HRMS/MS), and the source of impurities was derived based on the product's prescription process. The mechanism of impurities generation was analyzed, and impurity monomers were obtained through directional synthesis. The structure of impurities was confirmed using techniques such as 2DLC-HRMS/MS and nuclear magnetic resonance. Finally, HPLC was used to verify the analysis method of impurities.
RESULTS
It was confirmed that such impurities were produced in a reaction between bromhexine and the excipient glucose. The correction factor of the two impurities were 2.2 and 2.4, the analytical method was specific and reproducible.
CONCLUSION
Name the two injection specific impurities as impurity 1 and impurity 2 respectively, and use them as known impurities to be included in the standard, calculate the impurity content using the self control and correction factor method. This study is of great significance in guiding the impurity control of bromhexine hydrochloride injection and the screening of excipient glucose.

Cancer toxin is a specific pathogenesis leading to the heterogeneity of breast cancer. The nature and virulence of the cancer toxin determine the differences in the heterogeneity of breast cancer, which can dynamically evolve over time and space, resulting in varying invasion abilities and characteristics of the tumor.Cancer cells in the primary lesion possess"toxicity"that targets specific organs for metastasis, and cancer toxins can influence the metastatic propensity of different types of breast cancer. Therefore, breast cancer treatment strategies based on the theory of cancer toxins emphasize the continuous eradication of the cancer toxin, focusing on differentiating its strength and nature, protecting unaffected areas first, identifying the state based on symptoms, and targeting accordingly to combat resistance arising from tumor heterogeneity. This article aims to provide a new theoretical basis for the treatment strategies of different types of breast cancer.
