To summarize Professor GAO Shuzhong's clinical experience in treating idiopathic tinnitus with a combination of acupuncture and Chinese meteria medica. It is believed that idiopathic tinnitus is mostly caused by weak lungs and spleen, kidney essence deficiency, liver constraint transforming into fire, and binding constraint of heart qi. Treatment advocates the combination of acupuncture and Chinese meteria medica in clinical practice. Acupuncture treatment mainly focus on the method of opening the orifices by syndrome identification in combination with Ermen (TE 21), Tinggong (SI 19), Tinghui (GB 2), Shenmai (BL 62) to regulate qi and blood, and supporting with Baihui (GV 20), Yintang (EX-HN 3), Taichong (LR 3), and Yanglingquan (GB 34) to soothe the liver, resolve constraint, and calm the mind. Oral administration of Chinese medicinal prescription usually includes modified Yiqi Congming Decoction (益气聪明汤) and Tongqi Powder (通气散), and the external administration of Chinese medicinal prescription can apply self-prescribed Wenqing Powder (温清散) to navel moxibustion.

ObjectiveTo observe the effect of Shenshu Fujian decoction on platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF)/naked cuticle homolog 2 (NKD2) /Wnt signaling pathway in rats with chronic renal failure (CRF). MethodsSixty male SD rats were randomly divided into normal group, model group, Niaoduqing group (5 g·kg-1), low-dose Shenshu Fujian decoction group (5.5 g·kg-1), medium-dose Shenshu Fujian decoction group (11 g·kg-1), and high-dose Shenshu Fujian decoction group (22 g·kg-1), with 10 rats in each group. A CRF rat model was established by feeding a 0.5% adenine diet for 21 days. After successful modeling, intragastric administration was given once daily for 28 consecutive days. After treatment, the renal morphology of rats was observed. Serum creatinine (SCr) and blood urea nitrogen (BUN) levels were detected. Hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining and Masson staining were used to detect renal histopathological changes, and collagen volume fraction (CVF) was calculated. Serum levels of inflammatory markers interleukin (IL)-1β and IL-6 were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The expressions of fibronectin 1 (FN1), type Ⅰ collagen (ColⅠ), α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA), platelet-derived growth factor receptor-β (PDGFR-β), NKD2, dishevelled protein 2 (DVL2) and β-catenin in renal tissue were detected by immunohistochemistry and Western blot. ResultsCompared with the normal group, the model group showed significant renal pathological changes, a markedly increased kidney weight/body weight ratio (P<0.01), significantly elevated CVF (P<0.01), and notably increased serum levels of SCr, BUN, IL-1β, and IL-6 (P<0.01). Expression levels of FN1, ColⅠ, α-SMA, PDGFR-β, NKD2, DVL2, and β-catenin in renal tissue were also significantly increased (P<0.01). Compared with the model group, all treatment groups showed significantly decreased kidney weight/body weight ratios and CVF (P<0.01), as well as markedly decreased serum SCr, BUN, IL-1β, and IL-6 levels. Protein expression levels of FN1, ColⅠ, α-SMA, PDGFR-β, NKD2, DVL2, and β-catenin in renal tissue were decreased, with more pronounced effects observed in the Niaoduqing, medium-dose, and high-dose Shenshu Fujian decoction groups (P<0.05, P<0.01). ConclusionShenshu Fujian decoction improves renal function, reduces inflammation, and reverses renal fibrosis in CRF rats, possibly by downregulating the expression of PDGF/NKD2/Wnt signaling pathway-related proteins.

【Objective】 To analyze the contributing factors of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children and the correlation between bone mineral density and physical growth, in order to provide new clues for the prevention and early intervention of ADHD. 【Methods】 A total of 116 children with ADHD were included into the observation group from June 2020 to June 2022, while another 80 healthy children in the same period were included as the control group.Clinical data of the two groups were compared, and the factors influencing ADHD in children were analyzed using multivariate Logistic regression. Children with ADHD were further divided into boys group and girls group based on gender. Bone mineral density (BMD) and physical growth (height and body weight) of the two groups were measured, and the correlation between the two was analyzed. 【Results】 In the observation group, the proportion of boys, maternal bad behaviors during pregnancy, their educational level below high school, critical parenting, and parental stress index were significantly higher compared to the control group (χ2=14.430, 5.689, 5.630, 6.738, t=6.936, P<0.05). Additionally, family environment score was significantly lower than that in the control group (t=6.328, P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis revealed that factors including boys (OR=3.298, 95%CI: 1.759 - 6.184), maternal bad behaviors during pregnancy (OR=2.730, 95%CI: 1.169 - 6.375), maternal education level of senior high school or below (OR=2.032, 95%CI: 1.127 - 3.663), critical parenting (OR=2.349, 95%CI: 1.223 - 4.513), and parental stress index (OR=1.089, 95%CI: 1.055 - 1.124) were positively correlated with ADHD in children (P<0.05), while family environment score was negatively related to ADHD (OR=0.868, 95%CI: 0.820 - 0.919, P<0.05). There were no significant differences in BMD, height and body weight between boys and girls in ADHD group (P>0.05). Pearson correlation analysis indicated a positive correlation of BMD with height and body weight (r=0.409, 0.317, P<0.05). 【Conclusions】 The development of ADHD in children is associated with gender, maternal bad behavior during pregnancy, family parental style and so on. Bone mineral density is closely related to physical growth in children with ADHD, clinical interventions can be implemented to prevent or early intervene ADHD.

Objective:To retrieve and summarize the evidence for postoperative observation time and bed rest time in patients undergoing percutaneous renal biopsy, so as to provide evidence-based basis for postoperative nursing of patients undergoing percutaneous renal biopsy. Methods:Using search terms such as "renal biopsy" and "renal puncture", based on the "6S" evidence resource pyramid model, evidence on postoperative observation time and bed rest time of percutaneous renal biopsy patients, including guidelines, best practice information books, evidence summaries, systematic reviews, expert consensus, and original research, was systematically searched on various guideline websites, evidence-based databases, original research databases, and professional association websites both domestically and internationally. The search period was from database establishment to July 1, 2023. After independent evaluation of the included literature by two researchers, evidence was extracted and summarized from the literature that met the quality standards. Results:A total of nine articles were included, including one guideline, five cohort studies, and three cross-sectional studies. This study summarized six best pieces of evidence from two aspects, namely postoperative observation time and postoperative bed rest time. For patients with low risk of complications after percutaneous renal biopsy, it was recommended to observe for 6 to 8 hours after surgery, but further shortening the observation time to 4 to 5 hours may also be safe and sufficient. For patients with high risk of complications after percutaneous renal biopsy, those living far from the hospital, those living alone, or those who may experience significant psychological stress after biopsy, it was recommended to extend the observation time to up to 24 hours. Conclusions:Based on existing evidence, it seems feasible to shorten the bed rest time after percutaneous renal biopsy. A large amount of high-quality research is still needed to explore the optimal postoperative bed rest time.
