The emerging and re-emerging arthropod-borne infectious diseases pose a serious threat to global public health security. Field and laboratory studies of arthropods of medical importance are essential and critical for the prevention and control of arthropod-borne infectious diseases. Various institutions or universities in China have been conducting research in the field or laboratory study of arthropods of medical importance, but up to 2023, it is still lacking detailed biosafety guidelines or recommendations that can guide the related work for arthropods of medical importance. In order to proactively address potential biosafety issues in the field or laboratory activities related to arthropods of medical importance, improve the standardization of arthropod biosafety classification, operations, and protection, and ensure the safety of practitioners, an expert consensus on the biosafety recommendation of arthropods of medical importance in field and laboratory has been developed, aiming to guide the future work of arthropods and ensure the national biosafety and biosecurity of China.

Objective:To learn about the iodine nutritional status of children aged 8 to 10 years in Xiamen City after the reform of salt industry system, and to provide scientific basis for reasonable prevention and control of iodine deficiency disorders. Methods:From 2017 to 2019, 6 districts were selected each year in Xiamen City 5 sampling districts were divided according to the oriation of east, west, south, north and center in each district. One town (street, hereinafter refered as to town) was selected from each sampling district. One primary school was selected from each town. For each primary school, at least 40 non-boarding children aged 8 to 10 years (age balanced, half male and half female) were selected. Edible salt samples in the households and random urine samples of children aged 8 to 10 years were collected, and salt iodine and urinary iodine contents were measured, while thyroid volume was examined by B-ultrasound.Results:From 2017 to 2019, the coverage rate of iodized salt in Xiamen City was 97.34% (1 206/1 239), 96.89% (1 214/1 253), and 93.33% (1 175/1 259), respectively; the consumption rate of qualified iodized salt was 96.13% (1 191/1 239), 95.61% (1 198/1 253), and 91.58% (1 153/1 259), respectively; the median urinary iodine was 182.90, 182.81, 164.00 μg/L, respectively. The prevalence of goiter of boys and girls was 1.01% (19/1 889) and 2.26% (42/1 862), respectively. Conclusions:After the reform of salt industry system, the iodine nutritional status of children aged 8 to 10 years is generally at an appropriate level in Xiamen City. However, the consumption rate of qualified iodized salt is reduced, which increases the risk of iodine deficiency for residents. Therefore, we should strengthen the propaganda of scientific iodine supplement, maintain a high consumption rate of qualified iodized salt, and prevent the harm of iodine deficiency.

Chinese Journal of Medical Imaging Technology 2020;36(7):1027-1030
Objective: To observe CT features of pneumonic-type pulmonary invasive mucinous adenocarcinoma (PIMA). Methods: Clinical, imaging (plain and multi-phase enhanced CT) and pathological data of 30 patients with pathologically confirmed pneumonic-type PIMA were retrospectively analyzed. Results: Consolidation was found in all 30 cases, including 5 cases of pure consolidation and 25 cases of consolidation with multiple morphologies. The density of consolidation was lower than the same level muscles. Mild-to-moderate enhancement of consolidations were observed after administration of contrast media. CT angiogram sign and lobar distention sign were detected inside consolidations in 26 and 12 cases, respectively. Nine cases were diagnosed as lung cancer, while 21 cases were diagnosed as infection or other lesions with the first time CT examination. Conclusion: The consolidation of pneumonic-type PIMA has some characteristics, including low density, mild-to-moderate enhancement, angiogram sign and lobar distention sign. Consolidation combined with ground glass density, nodules and cystic transparent shadow are helpful to differential diagnosis of pneumonic-type PIMA, infectious lesions and infectious diseases or lymphoma.

Objective: To investigate the application of 3D-printed minimally-invasiveguided template in the treatment of recurrent cer-vical cancer after surgery, assisting interstitial brachytherapy. Methods: From July 2017 to April 2018, a total of 10 patients admitted to Cangzhou Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine in Hebei province with recurrent cervical cancer after radi-cal surgery underwent the 3D-printed customized template-assisted interstitial brachytherapy. According to the specific conditions of patients, different vaginal localization templates were selected for CT simulation localization. The main guidance needle space distribu-tion was designed, and 3D minimally-invasive guidance templates were printed. Then, needles were inserted according to the main guide channel of the template commissioned by medical photosensitive resin. The high-risk clinical target volume (HR-CTV) of 6 Gy/fraction was administered (4 to 6 fractions). Results: Overall, 10 patients were treated with implantation for a total of 52 times. Treat-ment with average scanning CT number for each brachytherapy was (1.58±0.70) times. The average elapsed time for each brachythera-py implant treatment, from plug implant to inserting planting needle satisfactorily with the location of the tumor, was (10.88±2.94) minutes. The mean number of metal needles used was (5.69±1.91) in each brachytherapy. The mean D90 value for high-risk clinical tar-get volume (HR-CTV) was (6.41±0.29) Gy. The cumulative D2cm3 values for the bladder, rectum, and sigmoid colon were (4.75±0.37) Gy, (3.93±0.26) Gy, and (4.33±0.24) Gy, respectively. After 3 months of treatment, the efficacy was evaluated in 8 cases with CR and 2 cas-es with PR. Conclusions: The technology of 3D-printed minimally-invasive guided template shows the advantage of accurate location and superior repeatability in the application of interstitial brachytherapy in treating recurrent cervical cancer after operation, which in-volves less time and insertion needles. The patients had minor aches and few complications. The tumor shrank significantly, which indi-cated a bright future of the technology's clinical application.
