1.Epidemiological analysis of alcohol poisoning among minors in Zhengzhou City

Objective:
To analyze the characteristics of alcohol poisoning cases among minors receiving pre hospital 120 emergency services in Zhengzhou, providing evidence for regional management strategies of alcohol poisoning among minors.
Methods:
A retrospective study was conducted on 1 630 alcohol poisoning cases (aged 0-18 years) from Zhengzhou s 120 emergency system during 2017-2019 and 2023. Data on gender, age, occurrence timeframes were analyzed using t-test and χ 2 test for intergroup comparisons.
Results:
Annual cases were 291 (2017), 353 (2018), 483 (2019), and 503 (2023). Compared with 2017, male alcohol poisoning cases increased by 66.94% while female cases surged 104.35% by 2023. The peak incidence of alcohol poisoning among minors occurred among 16-18 year olds (85.40%), followed by 13-15 year olds (13.74%). Most cases clustered between 21:01-03:00 (60.43%), with male cases peaking at 22:01-23:00 (12.73%) and female cases peaking at 02:01-03:00 ( 11.25 %). Between 00:01-03:00, male cases progressively decreased while female cases increased. Severity distribution showed 355 mild cases (21.78%), 1 035 moderate cases (63.50%), and 240 severe cases (14.72%).
Conclusions
Zhengzhou region has experienced sustained growth in underage alcohol poisoning cases, predominantly occurring from evening to early morning with moderate severity, female cases demonstrate faster growth rates. Multifaceted regulatory measures should be implemented to strengthen supervision of underage drinking behaviors.
2.IFN-β inhibits proliferation and promotes apoptosis of AML cells by STAT1-induced SARI

Objective:To investigate effect of SARI expression induced by IFN-β on proliferation and apoptosis of acute myelo-blastic leukemia(AML)cells,and to explore its potential regulatory molecules.Methods:qPCR and Western blot were used to screen AML cells with low SARI expression as experimental cell lines.AML cells were treated with different concentrations of IFN-β,and expression of SARI was detected by qPCR and Western blot at different time to select appropriate concentration and time of IFN-β.RNA-Seq transcriptome sequencing and KEGG enrichment analysis were used to preliminarily screen potential regulatory molecules of IFN-β-induced SARI expression in AML cells.AML cells were treated with corresponding molecular inhibitors combined with IFN-β,cell proliferation was detected by MTS assay,and apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry.To clear this molecule was involved in IFN-β-induced SARI expression on AML cell proliferation and apoptosis.Results:SARI expression in HL60 and NB4 cells were rela-tively decreased,so they were selected as experimental cell lines.After treatment with 1 ng/ml IFN-β for 12 h,SARI expression in AML cells was increased,cell proliferation was inhibited and apoptosis were increased.STAT1 was screened as a potential regulatory mole-cule for IFN-β-induced SARI expression.After inhibiting STAT1,effects of IFN-β on SARI expression,proliferation inhibition and apop-tosis promotion of AML cells were reversed significantly.Conclusion:IFN-β can promote SARI expression in AML cells by STAT1,in-hibit cell proliferation and promote apoptosis.

Building on a clear understanding of the diagnosis and treatment patterns for cold-damp epidemics, and incorporating the insights of Academician TONG Xiaolin regarding the differentiation and treatment of such epidemics, this article have distilled the key diagnostic principles. These principles primarily entail observing color and pulse, initially distinguishing between yin and yang, with treatment focusing on dispelling cold and dampness. A comprehensive approach is adopted throughout treatment, with a combination of overall strategies and tailored treatments that evolve in line with the patient's condition. In critical and severe cases, particular attention is given to aspects such as sweating, pulse analysis, and consciousness, preventing the pathogen from penetrating deeply. Efforts are made to open and close organ networks, expelling external pathogens without fixating on resolving constipation. The dosage and efficacy of herbal remedies are adjusted based on individual circumstances and clinical symptoms. The objective is to eliminate pathogens comprehensively, while being vigilant against relapses, ultimately achieving a full recovery. This overview of the thought processes and clinical principles for diagnosing and treating cold-damp epidemics will guide precise clinical practices and provide a theoretical foundation for the involvement of traditional Chinese medicine in epidemic prevention and treatment.
4.Academician TONG Xiaolin's Understanding and Experience in Treating Severe Cases of COVID-19

This article highlighted the invaluable expertise of Academician TONG Xiaolin in managing severe cases of COVID-19, thereby providing ideas for the treatment of severe and critically ill patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection by integrating traditional Chinese and western medicine. It is believed that COVID-19 belongs to the “cold dampness epidemic” in traditional Chinese medicine, which is caused by pathogenic qi of cold and dampness. The course of the disease can be divided into four stages: constraint, block, collapse, and deficiency, and the severe cases are mainly in the block and collapse stages. The pathogenesis at the block stage is described as epidemic toxins blocking the lung, which should be treated by diffusing the lung and unblocking the bowels, resolving phlegm and unblocking collaterals. The primary formula used is Zilong Xuanbai Chengqi Decoction (子龙宣白承气汤) with modifications based on individual condition. The pathogenesis at the collapse stage is described as internal block and external collapse, which should be treated by restoring yang to save from collapse, boosting qi to relieve collapse, diffusing the lung and unblocking the bowels, resolving phlegm and unblocking collaterals, usually with the formula Poge Zilong Xuanbai Chengqi Decoction (破格子龙宣白承气汤) with modifications.
5.Treatment of Critical COVID-19 Case Complicated with Multiple Organ Dysfunction based on “Cold-dampness Entering Ying (营)” Theory: A Case Report

“Cold-dampness entering ying (营)” is the key to the worsening of cold-dampness epidemic, and is more common in the elderly or critically ill cases of cold-dampness epidemic with pathogen exuberance and healthy qi deficiency. This paper reported a case of critically ill COVID-19 combined with multiple organ dysfunction treated by integrative traditional Chinese and western medicine based on “cold-dampness entering ying” theory. The patient did not have high fever after being infected with SARS-Cov-2, but D-dimer continued to increase, and she developed multiple thrombosis throughout the body and multiple organ dysfunctions such as pulmonary embolism, edema, oliguria, and shock. The patient were with enlarged and dusky tongue, with yellow, thick and greasy coating, and sublingual blood stasis, and thready, rapid and rough pulse. All these were characteristic manifestations of “cold-dampness entering ying”, and was differentiated as cold-dampness stasis. For the treatment, symptomatic and supportive western medicine of improving heart function, anti-infection, relieving asthma, stopping cough and reducing phlegm was given as the basic therapy, and additionally, traditional Chinese medicine to open the constraint and the blocked, save from collapse and restore yang, boost qi and relieve collapse, invigorate blood and drain water was used, usually with Modified Poge Zilong Xuanbai Chengqi Decoction (破格子龙宣白承气汤加减), which was in accordance with the pathogenesis and thus achieving good effect.
6.Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Complicated with Severe COVID-19 in Recovery Stage: A Case Report

This paper reported a case of severe COVID-19 in the recovery stage with acute lymphoblastic leukemia treated by integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine, with the intention of shedding light on the clinical diagnosis and treatment of similar conditions. The patient, who had acute lymphoblastic leukemia, developed COVID-19 infection during the bone marrow suppression period after chemotherapy. Treatment with western medicine was mainly anti-infection, symptomatic management, and supportive care. During the recovery stage, considering the patient's chemotherapy history and disease progression, the overall syndrome was identified as deficiency of both qi and yin and binding of phlegm and blood. Based on the “state-target” combined treatment strategy, herbal prescriptions were selected and modified to address the “deficiency state”, “disease target”, and “symptom target”. In addition to western medicine, the patient was administered with Shengmai Powder (生脉散) and Compound Zhebei Granules (复方浙贝颗粒) in its modifications to boost qi, nourish yin, and reinforce healthy qi, nourish and cool the blood, ultimately achieving satisfactory therapeutic effects.
7.Efficacy of cladribine-based regimens in treatment of 11 patients with refractory/relapsed acute lymphoblastic leukemia

Objective:To investigate the efficacy and safety of cladribine-based regimen for treatment of refractory/relapsed acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).Methods:The clinical data of 11 patients with refractory/relapsed ALL treated with 1 course of CLAG (cladribine+cytarabine+granulocyte colony-stimulating factor) regimen from January 2018 to July 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. The efficacy and safety were summarized.Results:Among the 11 patients with refractory/relapsed ALL, there were 7 males and 4 females with a median age of 28 years (4-58 years). There were 8 cases of B-ALL, 1 case of acute mixed cell leukemia, and 2 cases of acute early precursor T-lymphocytic leukemia; 1 patient had TP53 mutation, 2 patients had NOTCH1 mutation, 2 patients had KRAS mutation, and 2 patients had NRAS mutation; 1 case had hyperdiploid chromosome and 1 patient had complex chromosome karyotype. Among the 11 patients, 4 cases received CLAG + liposomal doxorubicin,1 case received CLAG + idarubicin (IDA) + etoposide regimen, 1 case received CLAG + etoposide regimen, and 1 case received CLAG + pegaspargase injection+etoposide regimen, 1 case received CLAG + methotrexate + etoposide regimen,1 case received CLAG + liposomal doxorubicin + daratumumab regimen, 1 case received CLAG + IDA regimen,and 1 case received CLAG + chidamide. Among the 11 patients, 5 cases achieved complete remission, 1 case achieved partial remission and 5 achieved non-remission. The main adverse effects were severe myelosuppression (11 cases), agranulocytosis accompanied with fever (6 cases), septicemia (3 cases), and no treatment-related death occurred.Conclusions:cladribine-based regimen is effective in treating refractory/relapsed ALL. It has favorable safety and tolerance for patients.
8.Immune microenvironment and clinicopathological features in brain metastases of non-small cell lung cancer

Purpose To investigate the expression of PD-1,PD-L1,CD3 and CD8 in the immune microenvironment of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)and their clinical signifi-cance.Methods The clinical data of 39 patients with NSCLC brain metastasis(BM)were collected.The expression of PD-1,PD-L1,CD3 and CD8 in the tumor and stroma of BM was detec-ted using an immunofluorescence-based tissue microenvironment analysis panel.Targeted sequencing was carried out to catalog cancer-related genes.The clinical pathological features were an-alyzed with review of relevant literature.Results Thity-nine patients with NSCLC presented with tumor-infiltrating lympho-cytes(TIL)in different degree.CD3+TIL(P=0.000 7)and CD8+TIL(P=0.0006)were more prominent in the tumor stroma,and the positive PD-L1 expression was significantly higher in the interstitial tissues of tumor(P=0.025 8).Com-pared with the whole wild-type driver gene cohort,the expres-sion of PD-L1 in the stroma of BM was significantly increased in the EGFR mutation cohort(P=0.039).Patients with high in-filtration of stroma CD8+TIL had longer median overall survival than those with low infiltration(16 months vs 6 months,P=0.032);PD-L1-positive patients(36 months)were longer sur-vival time than PD-L1-negative patients(5.5 months,P=0.056).Compared with lung primary lesions,the variant allele frequencies(VAFs)in BM generally increased,and samples with higher VAFs corresponded to higher expression of PD-1,PD-L1,CD3 and CD8.Conclusion The TIL infiltration is most prominent in the stroma of NSCLC BM.The EGFR muta-tion of a tumor might affect the immune microenvironment of me-tastases;PD-L1 expression and TIL infiltration were correlated with overall survival.
9.Analysis on the Current Status and Influencing Factors of Narrative Nursing Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice among Nurses in Grade A Tertiary Hospitals

【Objective:】 To understand the current status of narrative nursing knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) among nurses in grade A tertiary hospitals, and to provide a basis for the development of narrative nursing in relevant areas. 【Methods:】 Using convenience sampling methods, 931 nurses from three grade A tertiary hospitals in Xi’an were selected as subjects. A cross-sectional survey was conducted using the Clinical Nurses’ Narrative Nursing Knowledge and Trustworthiness Questionnaire and the General Self-Efficacy Scale. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to explore the influencing factors of nurses’ narrative nursing KAP. 【Results:】 The scores on the three dimensions of narrative nursing KAP were (23.70±2.99) points, (31.69±5.92) points, and (30.26±5.32) points, respectively. Nursing workload, general self-efficacy, professional title, and nursing satisfaction were the influencing factors of nurses’ narrative nursing knowledge dimension (P<0.05). There were statistically significant differences in nurses’ narrative nursing attitude dimension among nursing workload, general self-efficacy, professional title, monthly income, and nursing satisfaction (P<0.05). Nursing workload, general self-efficacy, nursing satisfaction, and accompanying experience were the influencing factors of nurses’ narrative nursing behavior dimension (P<0.05). 【Conclusion:】 Nurses in grade A tertiary hospitals have moderate narrative nursing knowledge, positive attitudes, and poor practice execution. The high nursing workload is the main barrier factor for the current development of narrative nursing. Nursing managers should actively build a diversified training system and guarantee system to boost the development of narrative nursing in clinical nursing work, and further promote the development of narrative nursing concepts.
10.Expression of LINC01152 in glioma and its effect on malignant biological behavior of glioma cells

Objective:
To study the expression of long non-coding RNA LINC01152 in glioma and its influence on the malignant biological behavior of glioma cells.
Methods:
LINC01152 expression in glioma was analyzed by LncSpA V2.0 and GEPIA database.qRT-PCR was applied to detect the expression of LINC01152 mRNA in 10 samples of human normal brain tissues,40 samples of glioma tissues and 5 glioma cell lines.GO and KEGG enrichment analysis of LINC01152 co-expressed genes were performed using the DAVID database to predict the related functions. The AnoLnc2,TargetScan,LinkedOmics and miRDB databases were used to predict the LINC01152 related miRNAs and target genes to construct a ceRNA regulatory network.LINC01152 expression was knocked down in glioma cell lines by small interfering RNA (siRNA) transfection.The CCK-8 test,scratch healing experiments,Transwell,flow cytometry and Western blot experiments were used to measure the influence of LINC01152 on the proliferation,migra- tion,invasion and apoptosis of glioma cells.
Results :
Database analysis showed that compared with other tumor types,LINC01152 was highly expressed in glioblastoma (GBM) and low grade glioma (LGG) ,and was higher than normal brain tissue.qRT-PCR showed that the expression of LINC01152 mRNA in glioma tissues was significantly higher than that in normal brain tissues (P<0. 01).The expression of LINC01152 was correlated with Ki-67 (P < 0. 05) ,but not with clinical parameters such as gender,age,tumor size,P53 protein,glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) ,O-6-methylguanine-DNAmethyltransferase ( MGMT) and WHO grade of glioma patients. Functional enrichment analysis of co-expressed genes indicated that the LINC01152 was mainly involved in biological processes such as cell adhesion and synaptic signaling.LINC01152-miRNA-mRNA regulatory network was constructed according to predicted target genes.After down-regulation of LINC01152 expression,the proliferation,migration and invasion abilities of A172 and U87 cells decreased(P<0. 01) ,while the apoptosis of glioma cells significantly increased (P<0. 001) .
Conclusion
LINC01152 is highly expressed in glioma,which can promote the malignant biological behavior of glioma cells by enhancing proliferation,migration as well as invasion and inhibition of apoptosis.
