ObjectiveTo obtain the epidemiological characteristics of re-positive cases infected with SARS-CoV-2 in Pudong New Area from March to July 2022, including clinical manifestations, duration of a negative nucleic acid conversion after tested for re-positive, and length of time from the discharge of the initial infection to the most recent re-positivity, so as to provide a scientific basis for the prevention and control of COVID-19. MethodsA questionnaire survey was conducted among the re-positive cases infected with SARS-CoV-2 after discharged from hospital/quarantine facility in Pudong New Area, and descriptive epidemiological methods were used for characteristics analysis. ResultsA total of 2 422 re-positive cases met the inclusive and exclusive criteria, with males accounting for 61.02%. The age distribution mainly fell between 18 and <60 years old, accounting for 62.39%. Clinical manifestations were predominantly asymptomatic (72.15%), followed by cough (12.03%) and sore throat (6.58%). Among the stratified randomized sample of 416 individuals, there were statistically significant differences in symptoms (χ²=262.667, P<0.001), clinical typing (χ²=12.996, P=0.001), and duration of a negative nucleic acid conversion (χ²=142.578, P<0.001) between the initial positive and re-positive instances. Besides, statistically significant differences in symptoms (χ²=13.696, P=0.016) and self-perception of the severity of re-infection (χ²=7.923, P=0.048) between the initial and re-positive cases were observed by different genders. ConclusionAmong re-positive cases, males experienced milder symptoms compared to females, and the self-perception of symptoms during re-positivity is milder than that in the initial positive infection. The length of time for negative nucleic acid conversion during the initial positive period is shorter than that during the re-positive period.

Ferroptosis is a new type of cell death proposed in recent years, and its main characteristics are iron overload and lipid peroxidation.Ferroptosis is involved in the occurrence and development of non-alcoholic fatty liv-er disease(NAFLD).Iron overload can generate a large amount of reactive oxygen species through the Fenton reac-tion.Under the action of lipoxygenase, the unsaturated fatty acids on the liver cell membrane undergo lipid peroxi-dation,which induces liver cell death and leads to the occurrence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease/non-alcoholic steatohepatitis.Blocking ferroptosis may provide one of the therapeutic strategies to protect liver cells.

Background The presence of formaldehyde, ammonia, benzene, toluene, and xylene in indoor air of public places has been confirmed to cause health damage. The employees of barber and beauty shops are exposed to relatively enclosed space for a long time, and could surfer more serious health risks from indoor air chemical pollutants. Objective To analyze the concentrations of common indoor air chemical pollutants in barber shops and beauty salons in Liaocheng City, and explore potential health risks of the pollutants for employees. Methods Using a stratified randomized sampling method, 8 to 10 barber shops and 5 to 10 beauty salons were selected in the main urban area of Liaocheng City to conduct monitoring of the sanitary conditions of public places in winter and summer every year from 2016 to 2021; the indoor air concentrations of formaldehyde, ammonia, benzene, toluene, and xylene in the selected sites were measured, and a questionnaire survey was conducted to collect exposure characteristics of indoor pollutants. The concentration distributions of the five chemical pollutants were obtained from the monitoring data for 6 consecutive years, and the health risk assessment model recommended by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency was used to perform health risk assessment of inhalation exposure. Results In 2016–2021, the median indoor air concentrations of formaldehyde, ammonia, benzene, toluene, and xylene in the two types of sites were lower than the limits of Hygienic Indicators and Limits for Public Places (GB 37488-2019), but the concentrations of some monitoring sites were higher than the limits. The disqualification rates of the five pollutants in the barber shops were 16.8%, 2.7%, 2.4%, 6.4%, and 12.0%, respectively. The disqualification rate of formaldehyde was the highest in all pollutants (22.0%), while the disqualification rates of ammonia, toluene, and xylene were 1.3%, 2.0%, and 2.0% in beauty salons respectively. Both formaldehyde and benzene were found to have carcinogenic risks (CR) in the two types of public places. Both median values of CR were greater than 1.0×10−6, and both maximum values were greater than 1.0×10−4. Formaldehyde had the highest non-carcinogenic risk in the indoor air of barber shops and beauty salons. The median non-carcinogenic hazard quotients (HQ) of formaldehyde were both greater than 1, and the maximum values were 16.72 and 12.19 times of the standard value; ammonia and toluene had the lowest non-carcinogenic risks, and their maximum values of HQ were less than 1; the median HQs of benzene and xylene were far less than 1, but their maximum risk values of barber shop were greater than 1. Conclusion For the sake of worker's health, formaldehyde and benzene should be the indoor air pollutant control priority for barber shops and beauty salons in Liaocheng; formaldehyde poses the most serious health hazard to practitioners and should be given high attention and necessary measures to reduce the hazard; benzene poses certain carcinogenic risks, with some of its highest values exceeding 10−4, which is higher than the recommended safety threshold.

Blinatumomab, as a novel bispecific antibody targeting CD19 and CD3, can induce T lymphocytes to precisely target CD19 positive B lymphocytes to apoptosis. At present, it is the only bispecific antibody approved for the treatment of hematological malignancies in China. Blinatumomab is effective in the treatment of newly diagnosed, relapsed/refractory, minimal residual disease positive patients with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) . It can improve the survival of the patients and is well tolerated. The further study of blinatumomab can provide theoretical basis and new ideas for induction therapy, salvage therapy and subsequent hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in patients with B-ALL.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2020;22(8):1208-1211
Objective:To investigate the change of fibroblast growth factor 19 (FGF19) in patients with metabolic syndrome (MS) and its diagnostic significance. Methods:According to the number of abnormal metabolic indexes, 175 outpatients and inpatients with MS were divided into Group Ⅲ, Group Ⅳ and Group Ⅴ, with 68 cases, 57 cases and 50 cases, respectively. 40 healthy people were served as normal control group (NC group). Serum FGF19 concentration was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The height, weight, waist circumference, blood pressure, blood lipid, fasting and 2-hour postprandial blood glucose, fasting insulin and serum C-reactive protein were measured. Multiple stepwise regression was used to analyze the related influencing factors of FGF19, and the threshold value of FGF19 in the diagnosis of MS was determined by drawing receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. Results:The levels of serum FGF19 in NC, Ⅲ, Ⅳ and Ⅴ groups decreased gradually, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that BMI, serum total cholesterol, glycosylated hemoglobin and waist circumference were independent influencing factors of FGF19 ( P<0.05). ROC curve analysis showed that the ROC area of FGF19 was 0.849, the threshold was 115.4 pg/ml, with sensitivity 0.875 and specificity 0.667. Conclusions:With the increase of metabolic abnormalities in MS, the level of FGF19 decreased, which was related to obesity and glucose and lipid metabolism disorder. It may be an index to predict and diagnose MS.
