ObjectiveTo study on the different therapeutic effects and potential mechanisms of Rhei Radix et Rhizoma（RH） before and after steaming with wine on constipation model mice. MethodsFifty-four male ICR mice were randomly divided into control group， model group， lactulose group（1.5 mg·kg^-1）， high， medium and low dose groups of RH and RH steaming with wine（PRH）（8， 4， 1 g·kg^-1）. Except for the control group， the constipation model was replicated by gavage of loperamide hydrochloride（6 mg·kg^-1） in the other groups. After 2 weeks of modeling， each administration group was gavaged with the corresponding dose of drug solution， and the control and model groups were given an equal volume of normal saline， 1 time/d for 2 consecutive weeks. After administration， the feces were collected for 16S rRNA sequencing， the levels of gastrin（GAS）， motilin（MTL）， interleukin-6（IL-6）， γ-interferon（IFN-γ） in the colonic tissue were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay（ELISA）， the histopathological changes of colon were observed by hematoxylin-eosin（HE） staining， flow cytometry was used to detect the proportion changes of CD4⁺， CD8⁺ and regulatory T cell（Treg） in peripheral blood. ResultsCompared with the control group， the model group showed significantly decrease in fecal number in 24 h， fecal quality and fecal water rate（P<0.01）， the colon was seen to have necrotic shedding of mucosal epithelium， localized intestinal glands in the lamina propria were degenerated， necrotic and atrophied， a few lymphocytes were seen to infiltrate in the necrotic area in a scattered manner， the contents of GAS and MTL， the proportions of CD4⁺， CD8⁺ and Treg were significantly reduced（P<0.01）， the contents of IL-6 and IFN-γ were significantly elevated（P<0.05， P<0.01）. Compared with the model group， the fecal number in 24 h， fecal quality and fecal water rate of high-dose groups of RH and PRH were significantly increased（P<0.05， P<0.01）， the pathological damage of the colon was alleviated to varying degrees， the contents of GAS， MTL， IL-6 and IFN-γ were significantly regressed（P<0.05， P<0.01）， and the proportions of CD4⁺ and CD8⁺ were significantly increased（P<0.01）， although the proportion of Treg showed an upward trend， there was no significant difference. In addition， the results of intestinal flora showed that the number of amplicon sequence variant（ASV） and Alpha diversity were decreased in the model group compared with the control group， and there was a significant difference in Beta diversity， with a decrease in the relative abundance of Lactobacillus and an increase in the relative abundances of Bacillus and Helicobacter. Compared with the model group， the ASV number and Alpha diversity were increased in the high-dose groups of RH and PRH， and there was a trend of regression of Beta diversity to the control group， the relative abundance of Lactobacillus increased， and the relative abundances of Bacillus and Helicobacter decreased. ConclusionRH and PRH can improve dysbacteriosis， promote immune system activation， inhibit the release of inflammatory factors for enhancing the gastrointestinal function， which may be one of the potential mechanisms of their therapeutic effect on constipation.

Objective: To investigate the current status of screen exposure among preschool children in Shanghai and its association with family screen environment, so as to provide a scientific basis for family screen management. Methods: Using a convenient sampling method, a total of 349 preschool children aged 4-6 years were selected from 36 kindergarten classes in Xuhui District and Pudong New Area in Shanghai during April to June in 2023. Demographic characteristics and family screen environment were surveyed through an online questionnaire. Screen exposure of children was assessed using a diary method, with parents recording the activities over a 7day period. Multiple Logistic regression analysis was employed to identify factors influencing childrens screen content. Results: The average daily screen exposure time for children was (61.2±40.2) minutes, with an average of (12.4±17.6) minutes spent on educational screen content, 80.8% predominantly watched noneducational screen content. The percentages of time spent on educational screen content for 4yearold boys, 4yearold girls, 5yearold boys, 5yearold girls, 6yearold boys, and 6yearold girls were 20.1%, 14.7%, 21.3%, 21.9%, 20.6%, and 26.9%, respectively. Multivariate Logistic regression showed that children aged 5yearold (OR=0.49, 95%CI=0.25-0.96) and 6yearold (OR=0.45, 95%CI=0.21-0.95) were negatively associated with more noneducational screen content (P<0.05). However, occasional (OR=2.02, 95%CI=1.09-3.75) and sometimes (OR=4.50, 95%CI=1.70-11.90) using electronic devices to calm young child when crying, as well as children using electronic devices without adult supervision (OR=1.81, 95%CI=1.01-3.24) were positively associated with more noneducational screen content (P<0.05). Conclusions Preschool children in Shanghai exhibit high exposure to noneducational screen content, and family screen environment and parentchild interaction are associated with noneducational screen exposure. Strategies for family screen management should be developed to regulate childrens screen exposure behaviors, allowing electronic devices to play a positive role in their developmental process.

“Deficiency cause， cold accumulation， and qi stagnation” originates from Essentials from the Golden Cabinet （《金匮要略》）， which is a guiding principle for the pathogenesis of women's diseases， pioneering the differentiation and treatment of women's diseases based on patterns， and having a profound influence on future generations. Following the classical principles and simplifying the complexities， this paper explored the pathogenesis and mechanism of polycystic ovary syndrome （PCOS） from the perspective of “deficiency cause， cold accumulation， and qi stagnation”， and believed that depletion of essence and blood， long-term accumulation of internal cold， and qi constraint and blood stasis are the causes of PCOS， with depletion of essence and blood， and lack of nourishment of zang-fu （脏腑） organs as the root， and cold pathogen invasion， qi constraint and blood stasis as the branch. The main treatment principle is “treating deficiency with supplementation”， and dispelling pathogen while reinforcing healthy qi， along with “treatment of cold by warming” and “treatment of stagnation by dispersing”. This is of great significance for the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome. Clinically， these methods can be used flexibly to guide treatment and formula selection for PCOS， with the goal of harmonizing qi and blood and regulating menstruation.

Abstract The capacity of school health services is an important guarantee for ensuring physical and mental health of students and faculty, and is an important component of healthy schools. With the development of society, health status of children and adolescents presents new characteristics, which puts forward higher requirements for school health service capabilities. The allocation of health personnel, whether in universities or primary and secondary schools, still faces a common problem of being extremely mismatched with educational needs. To comprehensively build a high quality school health system that meets the current goal of building a strong education country, optimizing the construction of school doctors has become a key part of it. The article summarizes the main problems and challenges in the construction of school medical teams in China, proposes potential development paths and suggestions, in order to provide the reference for improving and developing high quality school health work systems, enhancing overall school health service capabilities, and promoting the comprehensive healthy development of children and adolescents.

Objective: To understand the current status of the standardized construction of the health system in colleges and universities in Guangdong Province, so as to provide recommendations for promoting its standardized construction. Methods: From October to November 2023, a random digital table method combined with a questionnaire survey and one site investigation were used to investigate the basic information of school medical institutions, the construction situation of school medical institutions, the service provision of school medical institutions, the work of infectious disease prevention and control, and health education in 281 branches of 169 colleges and universities across 21 cities in Guangdong Province. Results: Among the 281 branches of colleges in Guangdong Province, 264 (94.0%) had school medical institutions. Among those, 88 (33.3%) had a preventive health care department, and 35 (13.5%) had one office for health education research. There were a total of 2 950 health professionals in school medical institutions, with 988 being regular staff members, 372 (12.6%) of whom hold senior titles. A total of 190 (73.4%) branches conducted annual infectious disease prevention and control health education for faculty, 219 (84.6%) branches conducted annual health education for students with at least 1 hour of instruction, 109 (42.1%) branches offered health education courses, and 106 (40.9%) branches established health education resources. Conclusion The construction of health system in colleges and universities in Guangdong Province is becoming more complete, but there are still issues such as unclear functional positioning of school health related departments and personnel, a weak team of school health professionals, and insufficient investment in health education.

Objective: To understand the allocation of health staff and clinics in primary and secondary schools in Guangdong Province, so as to provide a reference for school health construction. Methods: In December 2020, a total of 17 205 primary and secondary schools in 21 cities in Guangdong Province were investigated by combining document verification and on site surveys. The allocation of health staff and clinics in different cities and types of schools was analyzed using SPSS 25.0 software. Results: The proportion of schools in Guangdong Province that met the national standard for school health staff ratio was 37.7%. Among different types of schools, the lowest ratio was found in nine year schools (33.1%), while the highest was in twelve year schools (61.3%). Among the 17 205 schools in the province, 12.6% had clinics with an area of >40 m 2, and 6.9% with occupational licenses for medical institutions. The proportion of full time health staff was 39.1%. Among all school health staffs, the proportions of permanent staff, temporary staff, and appointed staff were 47.5%, 29.0% and 23.6%, respectively. The rate of school health staff with professional qualifications was 44.9%, while 48.3% had graduated from medical related majors, and 20.9% held a bachelor s degree or higher as their first degree. There were differences among various types of schools, with primary schools having the lowest health staff configuration and professional level (24.0% and 35.7%, respectively). Conclusions There are still issues of insufficient staff and low professional level in health staff and establishment of clinics in primary and secondary schools in Guangdong Province, and the allocation is uneven across different types of schools. The allocation of clinics in the province is still in urgent need of improvement.

It is estimated that approximately seven million people worldwide are affected by inflammatory bowel disease(IBD),causing a huge burden on healthcare systems and society.In the occurrence,progression,and treatment of IBD,the intestinal microbiota and its key metabolic product,bile acids,play a crucial role.The intestinal microbiota not only participates in the biotransformation of bile acids,enriching the diversity of bile acids,but also regulates their synthesis and transport through the farnesoid X receptor(FXR).Meanwhile,bile acids contribute to regulating the structure and function of the intestinal microbiota by supporting microbial diversity,exerting direct toxicity,participating in indirect antimicrobial pathways,and influencing microbial metabolic capabilities.Furthermore,under normal physiological conditions,intestinal microbiota-derived bile acids facilitate the repair process of the intestinal epithelial barrier.They also promote the balance of the immune system by modulating the functions of various immune cells including helper T(Th)cells 17,regulatory T(Treg)cells,CD8+T cells and natural killer T(NKT)cells,thereby slowing down the development of IBD.This article focuses on exploring the role of intestinal microbiota and bile acids in the onset and progression of IBD,and investigating new effective treatment strategies by targeting intestinal microbiota and bile acids,such as bile acid receptor modulators,probiotics,prebiotics,fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT),and phage therapy.

Objective:To explore the status quo and influencing factors of palliative care self-report practice among oncology nurses and provide references and directions for improving the palliative care practice of oncology nurses.Methods:This is a cross-sectional study. Totally 349 oncology nurses from four hospitals in Hangzhou were selected by convenience sampling from June to December 2022. Data were collected using a general information questionnaire, the Palliative Care Self-Report Practice Scale (PCPS), and the Palliative Care Knowledge Questionnaire. Pearson correlation analysis was used to explore the relationship between PCPS scores and palliative care knowledge scores among oncology nurses. Multiple linear regression analysis was employed to identify the influencing factors of palliative care self-report practice.Results:A total of 349 questionnaires were distributed, with 332 valid responses, resulting in an effective response rate of 95.13% (332/349). The total PCPS score among the 332 oncology nurses was (42.16±4.52). Among the six dimensions, the dyspnea dimension had the highest average item score of (2.85±0.54), while the communication dimension had the lowest average item score of (2.03±0.54). There was a positive correlation between PCPS scores and palliative care knowledge scores ( P<0.01). Multiple linear regression analysis indicated that years of work experience, attitude towards palliative care, understanding of palliative care, and palliative care knowledge scores were influencing factors of palliative care self-report practice among oncology nurses ( P<0.01), accounting for 66.30% of the total variance. Conclusions:The palliative care self-report practice of oncology nurses is at a moderate level and is influenced by various factors. Hospital leaders should provide individualized and diversified palliative care education and training aimed at improving palliative care practices. This should involve multiple approaches and levels to enhance the nurses' mastery of palliative care knowledge and clinical skills, thereby improving the quality of palliative care services and patient satisfaction.

Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) is the third common type of stroke in the world,and its mortality and disability rates have declined over the past few decades due to the advances in neuroimaging technology and endovascular interventional therapy and promotion of healthy physical examination,but long-term neurological deficits and cognitive impairment of the patients have not significantly improved,which may be related to the white matter injury (WMI) after SAH.Little attention has been paid to WMI after SAH in the past,which may be an important reason for the poor prognosis of the patients with SAH.The neuroin-flammation response is an important pathophysiological process after SAH,and the neuroinflammation after SAH can aggravate WMI.This article reviews the relationship between neuroinflammation and WMI after SAH in order to deepen the understanding of its effects on cognitive function after SAH.

Background Currently,there has been a gradual increase in the incidence of mental diseases,becoming a problem that has attracted great concern of the general public.Zhuhai is a core city of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,and the local government have attached great importance to the mental health of residents.The systematic study on the mental health has focused largely on pregnant women and medical workers,yet few are on the adult residents.Objective To investigate the prevalence and its influencing factors of anxiety and depression among adult residents in Zhuhai,so as to provide references for formulating targeted psychological intervention strategies.Methods From September 1 to December 1,2021,a cohort of 5 600 permanent residents aged 18 years and above in Zhuhai were selected through multistage sampling.All participants were subjected to complete Patients' Health Questionnaire Depression Scale-9 item(PHQ-9),Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale-7 item(GAD-7)and National Mental Health Literacy Questionnaire based on Wenjuanxing software.Then Logistic regression was employed to identify the factors associated with anxiety and depression among the residents.Results Among the 5 600 residents,depressive symptoms were detected in 842(15.04％)residents and anxiety symptoms in 579(10.34％)residents.Logistic regression analysis yielded that female gender(OR=1.488),living in Doumen district(OR=1.942),junior college/undergraduate level(OR=3.602),postgraduate and above(OR=5.904),irregular meal pattern(OR=3.320),comorbid chronic diseases(OR=3.244),disqualification of self-assessment(OR=3.414)and disqualification of mental health skill(OR=2.131)were risk factors for depression symptoms,whereas age≥25 years old(of all age groups OR<1),monthly per capita income>20 000 yuan(OR=0.438)and exercising≥3 times a week(OR=0.431)were protective factors for depression symptoms.Age of 25～34 years old(OR=2.051),living in Jinwan district(OR=1.729)or Doumen district(OR=1.901),junior college/undergraduate level(OR=2.955),postgraduate and above(OR=6.662),irregular meal pattern(OR=2.741),comorbid chronic diseases(OR=3.535),disqualification of self-assessment(OR=3.325)and disqualification of mental health skill(OR=1.838)were risk factors for anxiety symptoms,while monthly per capita income of 6 001～9 000 yuan(OR=0.665)and exercising≥3 times a week(OR=0.572)were protective factors for anxiety symptoms.Conclusion The mental health status of adult residents in Zhuhai is affected by various factors,including gender,age,region of residence,education level,meal pattern,exercise frequency and chronic diseases.
