OBJECTIVE: To explore the clinical effect of personalized puncture planning before surgery using Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures in the elderly. METHODS: A total of 69 elderly patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures treated by percutaneous vertebroplasty from January 2020 20 to December 2021 with more than 1 year of follow-up were analyzed retrospectively. Thirty-four patients were individualized for preoperative planning with PACS software (observation group), including 8 males and 26 females, with a mean age of (73.30±7.96) years old;and 35 patients were treated with conventional treatment (control group), including 7 males and 28 females, with a mean age of (77.30±7.84) years old. The operation time, the amount of cement injection, cement leakage rate, bone watertight diffusion and refracture within 1 year between two groups were observed and compared. The Cobb's angle, low back pain visual analogue scale(VAS) and the modified Oswsetry disability indexes(ODI) before surgery and 1 day, 1 year after surgery were compared between two groups. RESULTS: Both groups successfully completed the operation without serious surgical complications, 2 refractures occurred in the control group. The operation time in the observation group was(41.9±11.9) min, which was less than that in the control group (52.7±13.6) min (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the cement injection volume between two groups (P>0.05). Two cases of cement leakage in the observation group was less than 8 in the control group (P<0.05). The bone cement distribution index of two groups had significant difference(P<0.05). There were no significant differences between two groups in Cobb's angle of the injured vertebras and ODI before and 1 day after surgery(P>0.05), however, the comparative differences were statistically significant at 1 year after surgery(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the VAS between two groups at each time period(P>0.05). CONCLUSION Using the PACS software to plan personalized puncture scheme can reduce the operation time, reduce the cement leakage rate, improve the diffusion of bone cement and longer maintain the postoperative form of vertebral body and the functional state of patients' lumbar back.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of traditional Chinese Five-body balance exercise on patients with preserved ratio impaired spirometry (PRISm). METHODS: Fifteen patients with PRISm and 15 patients diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) were recruited from the Outpatient Department of Guang'anmen Hospital and Beijing Niujie Health Service Center from April to December, 2023. Participants in both groups attended supervised Five-body balance exercise training twice a week for 12 weeks. Patients with COPD continued their regular medication regimen during the intervention period. The endpoints were mean changes in the 6-min walk test (6MWT), St. George's Respiratory Questionnaire (SGRQ) score, cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET), pulmonary function, and scores of COPD assessment test (CAT), modified British Medical Research Council, Self-Rating Anxiety Scale, and Self-Rating Depression Scale from baseline to 12 weeks. Adverse events were monitored throughout the study. RESULTS: The PRISm group showed a significant improvement from baseline to week 12 in 6MWT, SGRQ symptom score, and forced vital capacity (FVC) compared to the COPD group (P<0.05). No significant between-group changes were observed in other outcome measurements (P>0.05). In addition, compared with baseline, both groups exhibited improvements in 6MWT, SGRQ score, and CPET at week 12 (P<0.05). The PRISm group also showed a significant increase in forced expiratory volume in 1 s and FVC, as well as a significant decrease in CAT score at week 12 (P<0.05). No adverse events were reported. CONCLUSION Patients with PRISm may benefit from Five-body balance exercise training, which can improve the exercise capacity, health-related quality of life, and lung function. Human physiological indicators have become an important standard for assessing health in modern society.Traditional detection methods often require a separate laboratory,complex operation process and long detection time,so it is urgent to develop portable,fast and accurate on-site detection technologies for bioanalysis.Point-of-care testing(POCT),which differs from traditional laboratory testing,can realize the rapid in situ detection of biomarkers without the complicated analytical process of the laboratory.Smartphones,which are an essential tool in our daily life,not only have independent operating systems and built-in storage functions,but also have high-definition cameras,which have great application potential in POCT visualization.The combination of various biosensing technologies and smartphones has developed into a new direction in the field of POCT.This review mainly introduced the research progress of smartphone-based visual biosensors in POCT in recent years,including colorimetric sensors,fluorescence sensors,chemiluminescence sensors and electrochemiluminescence sensors.Finally,the problems faced by smart-phone-based visual biosensors in the application of POCT were summarized,and their future development was prospected.

The effective components of flavonoids in the "Pueraria lobata-Hovenia dulcis" drug pair have low bioavailability in vivo due to their unstable characteristics. This study used microemulsions with amphoteric carrier properties to solve this problem. The study drew pseudo-ternary phase diagrams through titration compatibility experiments of the oil phase with emulsifiers and co-emulsifiers and screened the prescription composition of blank microemulsions. The study used average particle size and PDI as evaluation indicators, and the central composite design-response surface method(CCD-RSM) was used to optimize the prescription; high-dosage drug-loaded microemulsions were obtained, and their physicochemical properties, appearance, and stability were evaluated. The results showed that when ethyl butyrate was used as the oil phase, polysorbate 80(tween 80) as the surfactant, and anhydrous ethanol as the cosurfactant, the maximum microemulsion area was obtained. When the difference in results was small, K_(m )of 1∶4 was chosen to ensure the safety of the prescription. The prescription composition optimized by the CCD-RSM was ethyl butyrate(16.28%), tween 80(9.59%), and anhydrous ethanol(38.34%). When the dosage reached 3% of the system mass, the total flavonoid microemulsion prepared had a clear and transparent appearance, with average particle size, PDI, and potential of(74.25±1.58)nm, 0.277±0.043, and(-0.08±0.07) mV, respectively. The microemulsion was spherical and evenly distributed under transmission electron microscopy. The centrifugal stability and temperature stability were good, and there was no layering or demulsification phenomenon, which significantly improved the in vitro dissolution of total flavonoids.

Japanese encephalitis (JE) virus is the leading cause of vaccine-preventable encephalitis in Asia and the Western Pacific, which mainly invades central nervous system. Vaccination is the most important strategy to prevent JE. Currently, both live attenuated Japanese encephalitis vaccines (JE-L) and inactivated vaccines (JE-I) are in use. Due to the supply of vaccines and the personal choice of recipients, there will be a demand for interchangeable immunization of these two vaccines. However, relevant research is limited. By reviewing domestic and foreign research evidence, this article summarizes the current situation of the interchangeable use of JE-L and JE-I, and makes recommendations when the interchangeable immunization is in urgent need, so as to provide reference for practical vaccination and policymaking in China.

Estimating the actual real-world effectiveness of the vaccine is an essential part of the post-marketing evaluation. This regression discontinuity design (RDD) using observational data is designed to quantify the effect of an intervention when eligibility for the intervention is based on a defined cutoff as age, making it suited to estimate vaccine effects. This approach can avoid the high cost and ethical issues; overcome difficulties in the organization and practice process in randomized controlled trials, which leads to a higher level of causal inference evidence and more realistic results. Here, we describe key features of RDD in general, and then specific scenarios, with examples, to illustrate that RDD are an essential tool for advancing our understanding of vaccine effects.

Bitter almonds (Semen Armeniacae Amarum) are prone to oil deterioration during storage, so they often require mashing prior to clinical use. To confirm the medical value of bitter almonds "being mashed when used" and to determine the optimal storage conditions for bitter almonds, UPLC-MS/MS was used to perform a comparative study of the chemical composition of bitter almonds in different storage states (mashed and unmashed), storage times (0, 2 and 4 weeks), and storage temperatures (25 ℃ and 4 ℃). A total of 58 substances were identified in bitter almond extracts through literature review, this group's previous work, and a Compound Discoverer software search. Statistically significant differences were found in the chemical composition and content of bitter almonds in different storage states, storage times, and storage temperatures. The results show that the chemical composition of bitter almonds stored unmashed was more stable than that of bitter almonds stored mashed; the chemical composition of bitter almonds stored at 4 ℃ was more stable than that of bitter almonds stored at 25 ℃; and the shorter the storage time, the less the chemical composition changed. Amygdalin, the main medicinal component of bitter almonds, showed statistically significant differences in content under the above three storage conditions, which can be used as a potential quality marker for bitter almonds.

Objective To evaluate the risk of hearing loss of assembly workers in an automobile manufacturing factory. Methods An 8-hour equivalent sound level monitoring was carried out for assembly posts in an automobile factory. The risk of noise-induced hearing loss of assembly workers was measured using the method specified in ISO 1999:2013(E). The risk of noise-induced hearing loss was assessed in a graded manner according to the Guidelines for the Management of Occupational Disease Hazards from Noise. The results were statistically analyzed using Pearson correlation analysis. Results The average 8-hour equivalent sound level of the assembly work post in this automobile manufacturing factory was 89.5 dB (A). At 4000 Hz, the hearing loss N₅₀ (dB) of assembly workers reached the maximum. The longer the exposure time, the higher the risk of high-frequency standard hearing threshold shift. The risk of high-frequency standard hearing threshold shift was at a relatively high level at 30 years of work, while the risk of noise deafness reached a higher level after 40 years of work. Conclusion The 8-hour equivalent sound level (L_EX,8h) of assembly workers in the automobile factory exceeds the occupational exposure limit. With the increase of exposure years, the risk of high-frequency standard hearing threshold shift and noise deafness increases.

Objective: To analyze the willingness of receiving influenza vaccine and its influencing factors among health care workers (HCWs) in Yangtze River Delta region from 2020 to 2021. Methods: Convenient sampling method was adopted. From July 2020 to March 2021, 76 hospitals in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui and Shanghai provinces were selected according to the hospital level and job position, and a questionnaire survey was conducted on the willingness of receiving influenza vaccination. Logistic regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors of vaccination intention. Results: A total of 1 332 HCWs were investigated, with a ratio of male to female about 1∶3.2, and the length of working years was (15.07±9.75) years. A total of 614 HCWs had received influenza vaccine in 2019, with a vaccination rate of 46.09%. About 63.21% (842/1 332) of HCWs were willing to be vaccinated with influenza vaccine. The results of binary logistic regression analysis showed that the willingness of receiving influenza vaccine among HCWs in primary hospitals was higher than that in secondary hospitals (OR=0.573) and tertiary hospitals (OR=0.357). The willingness of HCWs who had received influenza vaccine in 2019 was higher than that of HCWs who had not received influenza vaccine (OR=0.226) and had unknown history of influenza vaccination (OR=0.228). The willingness of HCWs in departments of prevention, health care and infection was higher than that in departments of pre-examination, outpatient, emergency, pediatrics and respiratory (OR=1.670). Conclusion: The willingness of receiving influenza vaccination among HCWs in Yangtze River Delta region is high, but it is still lower than that in developed countries. It is necessary to strengthen publicity and education to improve the influenza immunization level of HCWs.
