To investigate the expression and significance of cell surface receptor signaling lymphocyte activation molecule family member 7 (SLAMF7) in normal intestinal tissues and intestinal inflammatory tissues of mice. Five C57BL/6J wild-type male mice aged 8-10 weeks were chosen and fed normally. Lamina propria lymphocytes (LPLs) and intestinal epithelial cells (IECs) were extracted, and totalcell RNA was extracted by Trizol reagent. The mRNA expression of SLAMF7 in cells was detected by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and real-time fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR). Then 10 C57BL/6J wild-type male mice aged 8-10 weeks were randomly divided into control group ( Compared with colonic IECs, the expression of SLAMF7 was higher in colonic LPLs( SLAMF7 may play an important role in the occurrence and development of UC through neutrophil-related pathways.

Wumei Pills is mostly used to treat ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, intestinal polyps, chronic atrophic gastritis, gastroesophageal reflux disease, gastric cancer and other digestive system diseases with its modified formula or combination with Western medicine. Wumei Pills can play a role in treating digestive system diseases through antioxidant stress, Inhibiting inflammatory response, regulating intestinal flora, anti-tumor, promoting intestinal mucosal repair, etc. Most of the related research on the mechanism of Wumei Pills in the treatment of digestive system diseases were studied in a single pathway. The relationship between other mechanisms and pathways is worthy of further exploration. In addition, the current research mostly focuses on the lower digestive system diseases with diarrhea as the main manifestation, and there is still room for research and reporting in the treatment of upper digestive system diseases.

This article reports a case of adrenal tumor in a reproductive-aged woman with hyperandrogenism misdiagnosed as polycystic ovary syndrome. The patient presented with menstrual disorder, elevated testosterone levels, and polycystic ovaries, initially diagnosed as polycystic ovary syndrome. Menstrual regularity was achieved after intermittent use of ethinylestradiol/cyproterone acetate and progesterone. Five years later, during a physical examination, a mass was discovered in the right adrenal gland, accompanied by elevated testosterone levels, polycystic ovaries, obesity, and insulin resistance. Laparoscopic resection of the right adrenal tumor was performed, and the pathological diagnosis was adrenal cortical oncocytoma. Postoperatively, menstrual regularity was restored, and testosterone levels normalized. This case highlights the importance of considering adrenal tumors secreting androgens in patients clinically diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome, and emphasizes the need for regular adrenal imaging follow-up.

Objective:To analyze the risk factors of bronchopulmonary dysplasia(BPD)in very preterm infants(VPI), and to provide scientific basis for the prevention and treatment of BPD in VPI.Methods:A prospective multicenter study was designed to collect the clinical data of VPI in department of neonatology of 28 hospitals in 7 regions from September 2019 to December 2020.According to the continuous oxygen dependence at 28 days after birth, VPI were divided into non BPD group and BPD group, and the risk factors of BPD in VPI were analyzed. Results:A total of 2 514 cases of VPI including 1 364 cases without BPD and 1 150 cases with BPD were enrolled. The incidence of BPD was 45.7%.The smaller the gestational age and weight, the higher the incidence of BPD( P<0.001). Compared with non BPD group, the average birth age, weight and cesarean section rate in BPD group were lower, and the incidence of male infants, small for gestational age and 5-minute apgar score≤7 were higher( P<0.01). In BPD group, the incidences of neonatal respiratory distress syndrome(NRDS), hemodynamically significant patent ductus arteriosus, retinopathy of prematurity, feeding intolerance, extrauterine growth restriction, grade Ⅲ~Ⅳ intracranial hemorrhage, anemia, early-onset and late-onset sepsis, nosocomial infection, parenteral nutrition-associated cholestasis were higher( P<0.05), the use of pulmonary surfactant(PS), postnatal hormone exposure, anemia and blood transfusion were also higher, and the time of invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, oxygen use and total hospital stay were longer( P<0.001). The time of starting enteral nutrition, cumulative fasting days, days of reaching total enteral nutrition, days of continuous parenteral nutrition, days of reaching 110 kcal/(kg·d) total calorie, days of reaching 110 kcal/(kg·d) oral calorie were longer and the breastfeeding rate was lower in BPD group than those in non BPD group( P<0.001). The cumulative doses of amino acid and fat emulsion during the first week of hospitalization were higher in BPD group( P<0.001). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that NRDS, invasive mechanical ventilation, age of reaching total enteral nutrition, anemia and blood transfusion were the independent risk factors for BPD in VPI, and older gestational age was the protective factor for BPD. Conclusion:Strengthening perinatal management, avoiding premature delivery and severe NRDS, shortening the time of invasive mechanical ventilation, paying attention to enteral nutrition management, reaching whole intestinal feeding as soon as possible, and strictly mastering the indications of blood transfusion are very important to reduce the incidence of BPD in VPI.

Objective:To study the effects of total flavonoids from Baeckea frutescens on the proliferation, migration, invasion, apoptosis and cell morphology changes of cervical cancer SiHa cells. Methods:Cervical cancer SiHa cells were treated with different concentrations of total flavonoids from Baeckea frutescens. CCK8 method was used to detect the proliferation and 50% inhibiting concentration (IC 50) of SiHa cells in vitro. The control group without drug treatment and the experimental group with drug concentration IC 50 were set. Transwell migration and invasion experiments were used to detect the changes of cell migration and invasion ability in vitro in the experimental group and the control group. Laser scanning confocal microscope was adopted for observing the morphological changes of apoptosis in the experimental group and the control group. Flow cytometry was used to detect the apoptosis rates of the experimental group and the control group. Results:Total flavonoids from Baeckea frutescens inhibited the proliferation of cervical cancer SiHa cells in a concentration-dependent manner. After 48 hours of action, the IC 50 value was 110.8 mg/L. In the migration experiment, the number of transmembrane cells in the control group was 644.00±10.54 and the number of transmembrane cells in the experimental group was 266.00±5.57, with a statistically significant difference ( t=54.942, P<0.001). In the invasion experiment, the number of transmembrane cells in the control group was 298.00±14.36, and the number of transmembrane cells in the experimental group was 85.00±8.62, with a statistically significant difference ( t=38.247, P<0.001). Laser scanning confocal microscope observation showed that in the experimental group, the cell membrane crumpled and lost its original morphology, and the nucleus showed typical apoptotic morphologies such as fragments of different sizes and irregular shapes, and nuclear edge aggregation; but no apoptotic cells were observed in the control group. Flow cytometry showed that the apoptosis rate in the control group was (2.95±1.36)%, and the apoptosis rate in the experimental group was (27.54±1.94)%, with a statistically significant difference ( t=-17.949, P<0.001). Conclusion:Total flavonoids from Baeckea frutescens have obvious inhibitory effects on the proliferation, migration and invasion of cervical cancer SiHa cells cultured in vitro, and promote their apoptosis.

Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2020;35(12):955-957
The role of Nod-like receptor pyrin domain 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome and pyroptosis in bronchial asthma (asthma) has attracted increasing attention in recent years. The activation of NLRP3 leads to the recruitment and activation of Cysteinyl aspartate specific proteinase-1 and the release of interleukin-1β(IL-1β) and interleukin-18(IL-18), which aggravates the airway inflammation in asthma.Meanwhile, NLRP3 further results in the clea-vage of Gasdermin D and pyroptosis. Finally, the cell damage stimulates the airway remodeling of asthma. This article focused on the mechanisms of NLRP3 inflammatory response and pyroptosis as well as its role in asthma.
