1.Study on original identification of Rhei Radix et Rhizoma decoction pieces based on electronic sensory system and GC-IMS technology

		                        			OBJECTIVE To investigate the variations in taste, aroma and volatile organic compounds of Rhei Radix et Rhizoma decoction pieces derived from different sources, and to identify their origins. METHODS The flavor, odor and volatile organic compounds of Rhei Radix et Rhizoma decoction pieces from different sources were compared and analyzed by using electronic tongue, electronic nose, and gas chromatography-ion mobility spectrometry (GC-IMS). Principal component analysis (PCA), partial least squares-discriminant analysis (PLS-DA), orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) and Fisher discriminant analysis were employed to identify the origins of Rhei Radix et Rhizoma decoction pieces and establish the basis discrimination criteria. RESULTS The differences in taste of Rhei Radix et Rhizoma decoction pieces from 3 origins were primarily characterized by bitterness, astringency, and bitter-astringent aftertaste. In terms of smell, variations were mainly observed in inorganic sulfides, organic sulfides containing aromatic components, methane and other short-chain alkanes, alcohols, ethers, aldehydes and ketones, as well as nitrogen oxides. Differentially volatile organic compounds mainly consisted of alcohols, aldehydes and ketones. Furthermore, the samples from 8 batches could be effectively classified into 3 categories.Three types of Rhei Radix et Rhizoma decoction pieces can be effectivily identified based on the peak intensity ratio between volatile substances. For example, when the peak intensity of 2-acetylfuran was 3-19 times that of isobutyric acid [dimer], it was considered as Rheum officinale Baill. CONCLUSIONS The discriminant models established in this study, along with the criteria for determining the origins based on the peak intensity ofcharacteristic volatile compounds, can be utilized for the identification of Rhei Radix et Rhizoma decoction pieces.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
2.Changes in Intestinal Toxicity and Component Analysis of Mongolian Medicine Euphorbiae Pekinensis Radix before and after Processing with Milk

		                        			OBJECTIVE To explore the correlation between changes in intestinal toxicity and changes in component composition of the Mongolian medicine Euphorbiae pekinensis Radix(EPR)before and after processing with milk.METHODS Mice were given 95%ethanol extract of raw EPR,milk-processed EPR and water-processed EPR by gavage.The purgative effect and intestinal inflam-matory toxicity changes of EPR before and after milk processing were investigated using the fecal water content and the levels of inflam-matory factors TNF-α and IL-1β in each intestinal segment of mice as indicators;LC-MS/MS was used to analyze the composition changes of the 95%alcohol extract of EPR before and after milk processing.RESULTS Compared with the blank group,the raw and water processed products of EPR could significantly increase the water content of mouse feces and the levels of TNF-α and IL-1β in each intestinal segment(P<0.05);compared with the raw product group,all indicators in the milk processing group were significantly reduced(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference in the water processing group,indicating that water processing cannot at-tenuate toxicity,and the auxiliary material milk is the key auxiliary material to reduce the toxicity of EPR.Mass spectrometry analysis results showed that a total of 50 components were identified in EPR,including 38 terpenoid components,6 phenolic acid components,and 6 other components.The content of each component decreased to varying degrees after milk processing.Principal component analy-sis(PCA)and orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis(OPLS-DA)were performed on the mass spectrum data of raw ma-terials and products,and it was found that the components of raw materials and products can be obviously clustered into 2 categories.13 differential components of raw materials and products were screened through t test,and 11 of which were terpene compo-nents,indicating that the composition of terpene components changed significantly after milk processing.17 components derived from EPR were detected in the residual liquid of milk excipients after processing,of which 16 were terpenoids,indicating that the terpenoid components of EPR were transferred to the excipient milk during the soaking and processing processes.CONCLUSION The toxicity of EPR is reduced and the purgative effect is alleviated after milk processing.The attenuation mechanism may be that during the milk soaking and processing processes,terpenoid components are transferred to the milk,and the content of toxic components in the decoc-tion pieces is reduced,thereby reducing the toxicity.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
3.Treatment of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis by the Method of Lifting the Sunken from "Deficiency,Toxin, Wind-Heat"

		                        			It is regarded that the general qi is the combination of spleen-kidney qi and heart-lung yang qi in the chest, which is filled between the muscles and is able to maintain the normal shape of the muscles. Accordingly, it is proposed that the core pathogenesis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is the deficiency sinking of general qi, with "deficiency" as the root, and "toxin" and "wind-heat" as the key factors for the rapid progression of the disease. The development process of ALS was classified into the initial onset stage, the increasingly progressive stage, and the rapid exacerbation stage, and differentiated and treated by deficiency, toxin, and wind-heat. Based on clinical experience, the wind medicinals were preferred. We formed self-prescribed Juxian Decoction (举陷汤) and modified from the perspective of "deficiency, toxicity, wind-heat" based on the wind medicinals of Huangqi (Radix Astragali), Shengma (Actaea cimicifuga L.), Chaihu (Bupleurum spp.) and so on. For the initial onset stage, Yiqi Shengji Juxian Decoction (益气生肌举陷汤), Wenyang Liyan Juxian Decoction (温阳利咽举陷汤) could be used; for the increasingly progressive stage, Jiedu Juxian Decoction (解毒举陷汤) could be used; for the rapid exacerbation stage, Yinqiao Shufen Juxian Decoction (银翘疏风举陷汤), Yangxue Xifeng Juxian Decoction (养血熄风举陷汤) could be used. 
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
4.Staged treatment of post-stroke depression based on "deficiency of heart qi leading to sadness"

		                        			Post-stroke depression is a common complication after a stroke. Based on the theory of "deficiency of heart qi leading to sadness"recorded in Huangdi Neijing, our team proposes that deficiency of heart qi is the basic pathogenesis of post-stroke depression, with sadness being its main manifestation. Therefore, we advocate treating post-stroke depression from the perspective of the heart, and clinically, it can be divided into four stages: heart-liver stage, heart-lung stage, heart-spleen stage, and heart-kidney stage. Treating post-stroke depression with the principle of regulating qi and nourishing the heart, patients in the heart-liver and heart-lung stages are mainly middle-aged and young adults, with a pathological nature of qi stagnation and mild deficiency of heart qi, and therefore, the method of promoting the flow of meridians and regulating qi should be adopted. In contrast, patients in the heart-spleen and heart-kidney stages are mainly middle-aged and elderly, with a pathological nature of qi deficiency and severe deficiency of heart qi, and therefore, nourishment and tonification should be prioritized. In response to the above four stages, our team has achieved good clinical efficacy by administering Xiaoyao Powder, Baihe Dihuang Decoction, Ganmai Dazao Decoction and Jingui Shenqi Pill respectively. This study discusses the approach to treating post-stroke depression from the perspective of a "deficiency of heart qi leading to sadness" by examining three aspects: the theoretical basis of Chinese and Western medicine to treat post-stroke depression from the heart, the basic pathogenesis and staging of post-stroke depression, and the treatment principle of regulating qi and nourishing the heart. 5.Construction and validation of a risk prediction model for hypoglycemia in elderly patients during peri-colonoscopy period

		                        			Objective:To explore the influencing factors for hypoglycemia in elderly patients during peri-colonoscopy, construct and validate a risk prediction model.Methods:The factors influencing hypoglycemia in elderly patients during the peri-colonoscopy period were identified through a literature review and semi-structured interviews. After two rounds of Delphi expert consultation, the survey questionnaire was determined. From January to September 2023, convenience sampling was used to select elderly patients who underwent colonoscopy in the Department of Gastroenterology at the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University as participants for a questionnaire survey. Univariate and multivariate Logistic regression was used to explore the influencing factors of hypoglycemia in elderly patients during the peri-colonoscopy period, and a nomogram model of hypoglycemia risk in elderly patients during the peri-colonoscopy period was drawn. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve ( AUC) of the subjects and the Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness of fit test were used to evaluate the model's predictive performance. The clinical decision curve of DCA was implemented to evaluate the model's clinical benefit ability. Results:A total of 558 questionnaires were distributed (392 for the modeling group and 166 for the validation group) and 558 valid questionnaires were collected, with a valid response rate of 100.00%. Among 558 elderly patients, a total of 130 cases (89 in the modeling group and 41 in the validation group) experienced hypoglycemia during the peri-colonoscopy period, with an incidence of 23.30%. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that serum albumin, age, previous hypoglycemia frequency, insulin use, fasting time, and nutritional risk were independent influencing factors (all P<0.05). The AUCs of the modeling and validation groups were 0.933 and 0.899, respectively. Hosmer Lemeshow test showed that the model had good calibration accuracy, and the DCA curve indicated that the model had good clinical effectiveness. Conclusions:The nomogram model has good predictive performance and can intuitively and concisely predict the risk of hypoglycemia in elderly patients during the peri-colonoscopy period, providing reference for medical and nursing staff.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
6.Bibliometric analysis based on bowel preparation of elderly colonoscopy subjects in China

		                        			Objective:To analyze and interpret the literature on intestinal preparation during colonoscopy in the elderly in China, and explore the research hotspots and development frontiers in this field, so as to provide theoretical reference for relevant institutions and researchers.Methods:Bibliometrics CiteSpace Ⅴ software was used to search CNKI, Wanfang Database, VIP, Chinese biomedical journal database, Chinese biomedical literature database from January 1, 2000 to April 30, 2022, and then statistical analysis was made on the number of published papers, distribution of institutions and regions, authors, journals, funding, and the maps of high-frequency keywords, clustering, and cooperation of authors, institutions and burst words were drawn.Results:A total of 281 literatures were included, and the characteristics of intestinal preparation, the effect of intestinal preparation for colonoscopy and nursing intervention of intestinal preparation for colonoscopy in the elderly were extracted as the research focus.Conclusions:The visualization analysis showed the research hotspots and trend of intestinal preparation during colonoscopy in the elderly. 		                        			During coronavirus disease 2019 epidemic, the treatment of severe trauma has been impacted. The Consensus on emergency surgery and infection prevention and control for severe trauma patients with 2019 novel corona virus pneumonia was published online on February 12, 2020, providing a strong guidance for the emergency treatment of severe trauma and the self-protection of medical staffs in the early stage of the epidemic. With the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council renaming "novel coronavirus pneumonia" to "novel coronavirus infection" and the infection being managed with measures against class B infectious diseases since January 8, 2023, the consensus published in 2020 is no longer applicable to the emergency treatment of severe trauma in the new stage of epidemic prevention and control. In this context, led by the Chinese Traumatology Association, Chinese Trauma Surgeon Association, Trauma Medicine Branch of Chinese International Exchange and Promotive Association for Medical and Health Care, and Editorial Board of Chinese Journal of Traumatology, the Chinese expert consensus on emergency surgery for severe trauma and infection prevention during coronavirus disease 2019 epidemic ( version 2023) is formulated to ensure the effectiveness and safety in the treatment of severe trauma in the new stage. Based on the policy of the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council and by using evidence-based medical evidence as well as Delphi expert consultation and voting, 16 recommendations are put forward from the four aspects of the related definitions, infection prevention, preoperative assessment and preparation, emergency operation and postoperative management, hoping to provide a reference for severe trauma care in the new stage of the epidemic prevention and control.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
8.Construction of nursing quality sensitive indicator system for ovarian neoplasms patients

		                        			Objective:To construct a scientific and practical ovarian tumor nursing quality sensitive indicator system so as to provide a reference for evaluating the quality of nursing care for patients with ovarian tumors.Methods:Based on Donabedian's three-dimensional theoretical model of structure-process-outcome quality management, we used literature review and Delphi expert correspondence consultation to construct a nursing quality sensitive indicator system for ovarian tumor patients. From February to April 2019, we selected 20 experts from 16 ClassⅢ Grade A general hospitals and 2 higher nursing institutions from 7 provinces/municipalities in Shandong Province, Jiangsu Province, Beijing, Jilin Province, Shanghai, Guangdong Province and Sichuan Province for consultation.Results:Among two rounds of consultation, valid recovery rates were 90.00% and 94.44% respectively; authority coefficients were all 0.92; familiarity coefficients were 0.89 and 0.91 respectively; judgment coefficients were 0.94 and 0.92 respectively; Kendall harmony coefficients were 0.204 and 0.426 respectively; the differences were all statistically significant ( P<0.05) . The final nursing quality sensitive indicator system for ovarian tumor patients included 3 first-level indicators, 12 second-level indicators and 23 third-level indicators. Conclusions:The nursing quality sensitive indicator system for ovarian tumor patients is highly scientific and practical which can be used to standardize clinical nursing care for patients with ovarian tumors by gynecological nurses and improve the nursing quality.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
9.Effects of Saccharomyces boulardii on the formation of gastric mucosa associated lymphoid tissue during Helicobacter suis infection

		                        			Objective To investigate the effects of Saccharomyces boulardii ( S. boulardii) on the col-onization of Helicobacter suis ( H. suis) in stomach and the formation of gastric mucosa associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) during H. suis infection. Methods Sixty C57BL/6 wild type mice were randomly divided into six groups. The mice in group A and group B were respectively given sterile distilled water and S. boulardii twice by gavage and then infected with H. suis for one week. The mice in group C and group E were given sterile phos-phate buffer saline by gavage for one week and then respectively given sterile distilled water and S. boulardii by gavage twice a week for 12 weeks. The mice in group D and group F were infected with H. suis for one week and then respectively given sterile distilled water and S. boulardii by gavage twice a week for 12 weeks. Serum and gastric tissue samples were collected from each mouse. Results The bacterial loads of H. suis in the stomachs of mice in group B were significantly lower than those in group A. No significant differences in the levels of se-creted IgA( sIgA) in serum and gastric tissue samples and the expression of IFN-γat mRNA level in gastric mu-cosa samples were found between the two groups. The expression of H. suis 16S RNA and the formation of gastric lymphoid follicles were detected in mice in groups D and F. The levels of sIgA in serum and gastric tissue sam-ples and the expression of IFN-γ and CXCL13 at mRNA level in gastric mucosa samples increased significantly in groups D and F as compared with groups C and E. Compared with the mice in group D, the bacterial loads of H. suis in stomachs, the numbers of MALT per unit length of gastric mucosa and the expression of IFN-γ and CXCL13 at mRNA level in gastric mucosa decreased significantly in mice from group F, but the levels of sIgA in serum and gastric tissue samples increased significantly. 10.Difference expression of Cx37 and Cx40 of arteries in spontaneously hypertensive rats

		                        			Objective To investigate the change of connexin (Cx) in mesenteric artery (MA) and aorta of spontaneously hyper‐tensive rats (SHR) and normotensive rats .Methods Quantitative RT‐PCR and Werstern blot technique were used to compare the difference in the expression of Cx37 and Cx40 mRNA and protein in MA and aorta of SHR and normotensive rats .Results The level of Cx37 mRNA expression in MA from SHR was decreased compared with that of the normotensive rats (P<0 .05) ,and more significantly in aorta (P<0 .01) .Cx40 mRNA expression in MA from SHR was significantly decreased compared with that of the normotensive rats (P<0 .01) ,but no change in aorta (P>0 .05) .The expression of Cx37 protein in MA from SHR was decreased compared with that of the normotensive rats (P<0 .05) ,and more significantly in aorta (P<0 .01) .Cx40 protein expression in MA from SHR was significantly decreased compared with that of the normotensive rats (P<0 .05) ,but no change in aorta (P>0 .05) .
