Objective:To investigate the protective effect of hyperbaric oxygen therapy(HBOT)on myocardial fibrosis and oxidative stress induced by D-galactose(D-gal)in senescent model mice and its possible mechanism.Methods:Three-month-old male Kunming mice(n=27)were randomized into control, D-gal, and D-gal + HBOT groups. The control group received subcutaneous sterilized saline(5 ml · kg -1· d -1)for 8 weeks; the remaining 2 groups received subcutaneous D-gal(200 mg · kg -1· d -1)for 8 weeks. The D-gal + HBOT group underwent HBOT intervention at week 7~8.At the end of the experiment, the histopathological changes were analyzed by hematoxylin-eosin(HE)staining, and the fibrosis changes were analyzed by Masson staining and Sirius red staining.Oxidative stress kit was used to detect catalase(CAT), total superoxide dismutase(T-SOD)activity and malon-di-aldehyde(MDA)content in serum of mice.Western blotting was used to detect the expression levels of the aging-related proteins p53 and p16 in mouse heart tissue, the heart-function-related proteins atrial natriuretic peptide(ANP)and brain natriuretic peptide(BNP), and the oxidative stress-related protein superoxide dismutase 1(SOD1), superoxide dismutase 2(SOD2)and catalase(CAT). Results:Cardiac morphologic staining indicated that as compared with the control group, mice of D-gal group exhibited features of senescence and the increased fibrosis area, and senescence and fibrosis were obviously improved after HBOT intervention as compared with the D-gal group. The findings of the oxidative stress kit measurement indicated that as compared with the control group, the D-gal group had markedly decreased activities of CAT and T-SOD, significantly increased MDA content in the serum. After HBOT treatment, as compared with d-gal group, serum CAT and T-SOD activities were increased, while MDA content was decreased( F=126.85, 32.89, 157.50, all P<0.05).Furthermore, as compared with the control group, the D-gal group had obviously increased contents of p53, p16, ANP and BNP, while the content of CAT, SOD1 and SOD2 were obviously decreased. After HBOT intervention, as compared with the D-gal group, the contents of p53, p16, ANP、BNP were reduced, while the content of CAT, SOD1 and SOD2 were increased( F=36.37, 14.81, 23.28, 58.41, 12.79, 80.08, 6.63, all P<0.05). Conclusions:HBOT intervention could protects against cardiac injury in aging mice, which may be related to attenuating myocardial fibrosis, inducing the expression of antioxidant enzymes, and reducing oxidative stress.

Brain-computer interface (BCI) provides a direct communicating and controlling approach between the brain and surrounding environment, which attracts a wide range of interest in the fields of brain science and artificial intelligence. It is a core to decode the electroencephalogram (EEG) feature in the BCI system. The decoding efficiency highly depends on the feature extraction and feature classification algorithms. In this paper, we first introduce the commonly-used EEG features in the BCI system. Then we introduce the basic classical algorithms and their advanced versions used in the BCI system. Finally, we present some new BCI algorithms proposed in recent years. We hope this paper can spark fresh thinking for the research and development of high-performance BCI system.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2017;37(3):243-246
OBJECTIVETo compare the clinical effect differences among electroacupuncture (EA) combined with catgut implantation, simple EA and simple catgut implantation for postoperative pain of mixed hemorrhoids.
METHODSA total of 120 patients were randomly assigned into a combination group, an EA group, and a catgut implantation group, 40 cases in each one. All the interventions were applied for 30 min before the operation. The acupoints were Changqiang (GV 1) and Chengshan (BL 57). The pain scores were compared among the three groups 4 h, 12 h, 3 d, and 7 d after operation, as well as the score of maximum pain score within 24 h (24 h Max) after operation, the pain duration score within 24 h after operation, and the total dose of aulin to relieve pain within 7 d after the operation.
RESULTSThe scores in the combination group were better than those in the other two groups, including the pain scores at all the time points after operation, the 24 h Max score and the pain duration score within 24 h after the operation, as well as the dose of aulin within 7 d after the operation (all<0.05). The pain scores 4 h and 12 h after operation and the 24 h Max socre in the EA group were better than those in the catgut implantation group (all<0.05). The pain scores 3 d and 7 d after operation in the catgut implantation group were superior to those in the EA group (both<0.05). The pain duration score within 24 h after operation in the EA group was better than that in the catgut implantation group (<0.05). As for the aulin dose within 7 d after operation, the dosage in the catgut implantation group was less than that in the EA group (<0.05).
CONCLUSIONSEA combined with catgut implantation is more effective than simple EA and simple catgut implantation for postoperative pain of mixed hemorrhoid. The analgesic effect of EA is stronger and works faster, but the duration of analgesia of catgut implantation is longer. The combination of the two Methods can achieve better analgesia.

OBJECTIVETo observe the differences in the therapeutic effects on chronic perianal eczema between auricular point sticking therapy and auricular sticking pseudo-press therapy on the basis of the treatment with western medication.
METHODSNinety patients were randomized into an auricular therapy group and an auricular pseudo-press therapy group (pseudo group), 45 cases in each one. The western medication was used in both of the groups. In the auricular therapy group, the auricular sticking method with semen vaccariae was added at Fengxi (SF), Shenshangxian (TG), Duipingjian (AT), Fei (CO), Pi (CO), Gangmen (HX). The patients were advised to press each auricular point every day. In the pseudo group, the plaster was applied to the same auricular points without semen vaccariae used and pressing manipulation given. The auricular sticking therapy was used once every three days in the two groups. The treatment for 2 weeks was as one session and one or two sessions of treatment were given accordingly. The severity of perianal itching, the area of skin lesion, the form of skin lesion and the score of dermatology life quality index (DLQI) and the clinical therapeutic effects were compared before and after treatment in the two groups. The adverse reaction and recurrence rate in 1-year follow-up visit were observed during treatment.
RESULTSAfter treatment, the itching degree, the area of skin lesion, the form of skin lesion and DLQI score were all reduced apparently as compared with those before treatment in the patients of the two groups (all<0.05). The results in the auricular sticking therapy group were better than those in the pseudo group (all<0.05). The curative and markedly effective rate and the total effective rate in the auricular sticking therapy group were apparently better than those in the pseudo group[52.3% (23/44) vs 19.0% (8/42), 97.7% (43/44) vs 76.2% (32/42), both<0.05]. The recurrence rate in the auricular sticking therapy group was lower apparently than that in the pseudo group[7.0% (3/43) vs 37.5% (12/32),<0.05]. No severe adverse reactions were found during the treatment in the two groups.
CONCLUSIONSThe auricular sticking therapy combined with western medication effectively release itching in chronic perianal eczema and local skin lesions, improve the living quality and reduce recurrence rate.
