1.Comparison of the microbiota diversity between autogenous and anautogenous Culex pipiens pallens

		                        			 Objective To investigate the microbiota composition and diversity between autogenous and anautogenous Culex pipiens pallens, so as to provide insights into unraveling the pathogenesis of autogeny in Cx. pipiens pallens. Methods Autogenous and anautogenous adult Cx. pipiens pallens samples were collected at 25 ℃, and the hypervariable regions of the microbial 16S ribosomal RNA (16S rRNA) gene was sequenced on the Illumina NovaSeq 6000 sequencing platform. The microbiota abundance and diversity were evaluated using the alpha diversity index, and the difference in the microbiota structure was examined using the beta diversity index. The microbiota with significant differences in the abundance between autogenous and anautogenous adult Cx. pipiens pallens samples was identified using the linear discriminant analysis effect size (LEfSe). Results The microbiota in autogenous and anautogenous Cx. pipiens pallens samples belonged to 18 phyla, 28 classes, 70 orders, 113 families, and 170 genera, and the dominant phyla included Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes, and so on. At the genus level, Wolbachia was a common dominant genus, and the relative abundance was (77.6 ± 11.3)% in autogenous Cx. pipiens pallens samples and (47.5 ± 8.5)% in anautogenous mosquito samples, while Faecalibaculum (0.4% ± 0.1%), Dubosiella (0.5% ± 0.0%) and Massilia (0.5% ± 0.1%) were specific species in autogenous Cx. pipiens pallens samples. Alpha diversity analysis showed that higher Chao1 index and ACE index in autogenous Cx. pipiens pallens samples than in anautogenous samples (both P values > 0.05), and lower Shannon index (P > 0.05) and Simpson index (P < 0.05) in autogenous Cx. pipiens pallens samples than in anautogenous samples. LEfSe analysis showed a total of 48 significantly different taxa between autogenous and anautogenous Cx. pipiens pallens samples (all P values < 0.05). 2.Magnesium lithospermate B enhances the potential of human-induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes for myocardial repair

		                        			Background::We previously reported that activation of the cell cycle in human-induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes (hiPSC-CMs) enhances their remuscularization capacity after human cardiac muscle patch transplantation in infarcted mouse hearts. Herein, we sought to identify the effect of magnesium lithospermate B (MLB) on hiPSC-CMs during myocardial repair using a myocardial infarction (MI) mouse model.Methods::In C57BL/6 mice, MI was surgically induced by ligating the left anterior descending coronary artery. The mice were randomly divided into five groups ( n = 10 per group); a MI group (treated with phosphate-buffered saline only), a hiPSC-CMs group, a MLB group, a hiPSC-CMs + MLB group, and a Sham operation group. Cardiac function and MLB therapeutic efficacy were evaluated by echocardiography and histochemical staining 4 weeks after surgery. To identify the associated mechanism, nuclear factor (NF)-κB p65 and intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM1) signals, cell adhesion ability, generation of reactive oxygen species, and rates of apoptosis were detected in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) and hiPSC-CMs. Results::After 4 weeks of transplantation, the number of cells that engrafted in the hiPSC-CMs + MLB group was about five times higher than those in the hiPSC-CMs group. Additionally, MLB treatment significantly reduced tohoku hospital pediatrics-1 (THP-1) cell adhesion, ICAM1 expression, NF-κB nuclear translocation, reactive oxygen species production, NF-κB p65 phosphorylation, and cell apoptosis in HUVECs cultured under hypoxia. Similarly, treatment with MLB significantly inhibited the apoptosis of hiPSC-CMs via enhancing signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) phosphorylation and B-cell lymphoma-2 (BCL2) expression, promoting STAT3 nuclear translocation, and downregulating BCL2-Associated X, dual specificity phosphatase 2 (DUSP2), and cleaved-caspase-3 expression under hypoxia. Furthermore, MLB significantly suppressed the production of malondialdehyde and lactate dehydrogenase and the reduction in glutathione content induced by hypoxia in both HUVECs and hiPSC-CMs in vitro. Conclusions::MLB significantly enhanced the potential of hiPSC-CMs in repairing injured myocardium by improving endothelial cell function via the NF-κB/ICAM1 pathway and inhibiting hiPSC-CMs apoptosis via the DUSP2/STAT3 pathway.

		                        			The first global outbreak of monkeypox in non-epidemic regions occurred in May 2022, and the World Health Organization defined it as a public health emergency of international concern in July 2022. Compared with previous outbreaks of monkeypox in Africa, the current one is different in etiology, epidemiology and clinical characteristics. 5.Surgical therapy analysis of common congenital heart disease in 1 004 infants

		                        			Objective To analyze the surgery effect of infant common congenital heart diseases. Methods The clinical data of 1 004 infants with common congenital heart disease were retrospectively analyzed, with male in 508 cases, female in 496 cases, age from 0.7 to 12.0 (7.4 ± 3.6) months, and body weight from 2.4 to 11.5 (6.8 ± 2.2) kg. Among them , there were the ventricular septal defect (VSD) in 680 cases, atrioventricular septal defect (ASD) in 92 cases, patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) in 70 cases, pulmonary valve stenosis (PS) in 12 cases, VSD +ASD in 83 cases, VSD + PDA in 27 cases, VSD+moderate to severe mitral insufficiency (MI) in 12 cases, VSD+ASD+MI in 3 cases, VSD+PS in 5 cases, VSD+ASD+PS in 2 cases, VSD+double chamber right ventricle (DCRV) in 3 cases, and ASD+PS in 7 cases, ASD+PDA in 8 cases. Results The extracorporeal circulation time was 21-72 (40.2 ± 28.6) min, and aortic occlusion time was 4-37 (20.7 ± 15.5) min. The in hospital mortality was 0.8%(8/1 004). Postoperative complications included low cardiac output syndrome in 18 cases, bacterial endocarditis in 2 cases, pneumonia in 27 cases, pulmonary atelectasis in 6 cases, pneumothorax in 2 cases, laryngeal edema in 11 cases, incision fat liquefaction in 12 cases, sternal dehiscence in 3 cases, and third-degree atrioventricular block in 1 case. Eight hundred and forty-five infants (84.2%, 845/1 004) were followed up for 6-12 months.The echocardiogram found 9 cases with residual VSD shunt, 5 cases with mild MI and 1 case with moderate. Conclusions In primary hospital, Seizing the opportunity of surgery, attention on protection of myocardium and other important of organ function during operation, and postoperative intensive care and fine processing can achieve satisfactory clinical results in infant common congenital heart diseases surgery.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
6.Expression of Sirt1 in tissues of patients with gastric carcinoma

		                        			ObjectiveTo explore the changes in gene expression in tissues of patients with gastric carcinoma by cDNA microarray.MethodsA 44,000 gene cDNA microarray (Affymetfix) was used to examine gene expression in the tissues of patients with gastric carcinoma.The Sirt1 genes were identified and subjected to realtime PCR analysis.Results The expression of Sirt1 in tissues of gastric carcinoma [(0.318 ±0.032) ~ (0.169 ±0.013 ) time] was extremely lower than in tissues of para- gastric carcinoma ( 1 time).The results of Real-time PCR were consistent with those of genechip analysis.ConclusionsThe expression of Sirt1 was obviously different between tissues of gastric carcinoma and para - gastric carcinoma.Sirt1 may be associated with carcinogenesis of HCC.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
7.Dynamic analysis of distribution of Oncomelania hupensis in mountainous regions

		                        			Objective To study the distribution of Oncomelania hupensis snails in mountainous regions and the dynamic charaeteristics of the distribution.Methods An environment calledLanbaoclosed to Puge County.Sichuan Provinee WaS selected as the study field.Random sampling was designed to determine the investigation sites.The snails were collected and the hying snaila were identified by the method of dissection in the laboratory.The distribution of snails was analyzed by some statistical indices,such as mean,variance and so on.Then the negative binomial distribution.log-normal distribution and exponential distribution were fitted to the snail data by the method of maximum likelihood estimation to explore the snail distribution in different time.Results The negative binomial distribution was fitted well to the snail data in April,May,July,August,September,November in 2008,and no distribution was fined to the snail data in June,October.December in 2008 and February in 2009.Conclusions The distribution of Oncomelania hupensis in mountainous regions is not simple negative binomial distribution,but pwbably a dynamic process and an uncertain distribution.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
8.Fractional and molar esterification rate of high density lipoprotein cholesterol determined by high performance liquid chromatography

		                        			Objective To develop an HPLC method for the measurement of fractional and molar esterification rate of serum HDL(FER HDL and MERHDL).Methods Blood samples were mixed with 5,5'-dithiobis-(2-nitrobenzoic acid)(DTNB)and the sera were separated.Serum HDL fractions were prepared by precipitation with Dextran sulfate and magnesium and the fractions were incubated at 37℃for 1 h in the presence and absence of 2-mercaptoethanol(ME).Free cholesterol levels of the HDL fractions were analyzed by HPLC and FERHDL and MERHDL were calculated.Results Under the selected conditions,serum free cholesterol could be stabilized by inhibition of LCAT with DTNB and the inhibition be reversed by ME. The total CVs for FERHDL and MERHDL were 1.59%-3.74% and 1.64%-2.88%,respectively.The averages of FERHDL and MERHDL in 70 apparently healthy subjects were 18.7%/h and 42.7 μmol·L-1·h-1 with standard deviations of 7.2%/h and 11.8 μmol·L-1·h-1·respectively,and the medians were 16.1%/h and 11.8 μmol·L-1·h-1.Close correlations of FERHDL.and MERHDL with other cardiovascular disease risk factors were observed.Conclusion A new method for the measurements of FERHDL and MERHDL by HPLC has been estabished. 9.Angiographic manifestation and transcatheter arterial embolization of proper esophageal artery in hemoptysis

		                        			Objective To investigate the angiographic manifestation of the proper esophageal artery (PEA),the hish risk factom for the presence of the anomalous PEA in hemoptysis and to evaluate the safety of transcatheter aaefial embolization(TAE) of the PEA using gelatin sponge(GS).Methods Selective esophageal arteriography WSS performed in forty-three patients with hemoptysis,including 15 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis,18 cases of bmnchiectasis,7 cases of posttuberculous bronchiectasis and three cases of lung cancer. One case experienced failure of bronchial arterial embolization. The angiographic manifestation of the PEAs Was studied.The complications of the procedure and clinical results were observed in the patients who underwent TAE using GS.Results Thirty-nine PEAs were catheterized selectively in 37 patients(86.0%).Eighteen anomalous PEAs(46.2%)were catheterized selectively in 17 patients (45.9%).The anomalous PEAs showed tortuosity,dilatation,hyperplasia,shunting with pulmonary artery and anastomosis with the bronchial artery.All lesions involved basal segment of inferior pulmonary lobar. Bronchiectasis Was the most frequent disease for PEA abnormality. No complications occurred and satisfactory curative effect Was achieved with TAE of the anomalous PEAs.Conclusions It is necessary to perform selective proper esophageal arteriography when the lesion involves basal segment of inferior pulmonary lobar in hemoptysis.Supplemental TAE of the anomalous PEA using GS is safe and valuable in the management of hemoptysis.
