Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of thermal tomography in breast cancer (BC) screening. Methods We conducted a general population-based BC screening in three regions of Hubei Province (Xiantao, Hongan, and Yangxin Districts). Participants underwent a questionnaire-based interview for baseline data collection. They then received a physical examination, thermal tomography, and ultrasound from doctors and technicians. We compared the efficacies, including sensitivity, specificity, and false-positive rates, of ultrasound and thermal tomography in BC screening. 2.Modified Lianpoyin Formula Treats Hp-associated Gastritis by Regulating Mitochondrial Autophagy and NLRP3 Inflammasome Signaling Pathway

ObjectiveTo explore the effect of modified Lianpoyin formula (LPYJWF) in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori (Hp)-associated gastric mucosal damage based on mitochondrial autophagy and NLRP3 inflammasome signaling pathway. MethodsA total of 60 eight-week-old Balb/c male mice were assigned via the random number table method into control, model, high-dose LPYJWF (LPYJWF-H, 27.3 g·kg-1·d-1), medium-dose LPYJWF (LPYJWF-M, 13.65 g·kg-1·d-1), low-dose LPYJWF (LPYJWF-L, 6.83 g·kg-1·d-1), and quadruple therapy groups. Except the control group, other groups were modeled for Hp infection. Mice were administrated with LPYJWF at corresponding doses by gavage. Quadruple therapy group was given omeprazole (6.06 mg·kg-1·d-1) + amoxicillin (303 mg·kg-1·d-1) + clarithromycin (151.67 mg·kg-1·d-1) + colloidal pectin capsules (30.3 mg·kg-1·d-1) by gavage. The control group was given an equal volume of 0.9% NaCl for 14 days. Hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining was used to observe the pathological changes of gastric mucosa, and Warthin-Starry (W-S) silver staining was used to detect Hp colonization. Transmission electron microscopy was employed to observe the mitochondrial ultrastructure of the gastric tissue, and immunofluorescence co-localization assay was adopted to detect the expression of mitochondrial transcription factor A (TFAM) and translocase of the outer mitochondrial membrane member 20 (TOMM20). The water-soluble tetrazolium salt method and thiobarbituric acid method were used to determine the levels of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde (MDA), respectively, in the gastric tissue. Western blot was employed to measure the protein levels of PTEN-induced kinase 1 (PINK1), Parkin, p62, microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 (LC3), NOD-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3), apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD (ASC), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), and interleukin-18 (IL-18). Real-time quantitative PCR was employed to assess the mRNA levels of PINK1, Parkin, p62, and LC3. ResultsCompared with the control group, the model group presented obvious gastric mucosal damage, colonization of a large number of Hp, severe mitochondrial damage, vacuolated structures due to excessive autophagy, reduced TOMM20 and TFAM co-expression in the gastric mucosal tissue, and reduced SOD and increased MDA (P<0.01). In addition, the gastric tissue in the model group showed up-regulated protein and mRNA levels of PINK1, Parkin, and LC3 and down-regulated protein and mRNA levels of p62 (P<0.01, as well as increased expression of inflammasome-associated proteins NLRP3, ASC, IL-1β, and IL-18 (P<0.01). Compared with the model group, the LPYJWF and quadruple therapy groups showed alleviated pathological damage of gastric mucosa, reduced Hp colonization, mitigated mitochondrial damage, and increased co-expression of TOMM20 and TFAM. The SOD level was elevated in the LPYJWF-L group (P<0.01), and the MDA levels became lowered in the LPYJWF and quadruple therapy groups (P<0.05, P<0.01). Furthermore, the LPYJWF and quadruple therapy groups showed down-regulated mRNA levels of PINK1, Parkin, and LC3 and protein levels of PINK1 and Parkin, and up-regulated mRNA level of p62 (P<0.01). The LPYJWF-M, LPYJWF-H, and quadruple therapy groups showcased down-regulated LC3 Ⅱ/LC3 Ⅰ level (P<0.05, P<0.01) and up-regulated protein level of p62 (P<0.01). The expression of inflammasome-associated proteins NLRP3, ASC, IL-1β, and IL-18 were reduced in the LPYJWF and quadruple therapy groups (P<0.05, P<0.01). ConclusionLPYJWF ameliorates gastric mucosal damage and exerts mucosa-protective effects in Hp-infected mice, which may be related to the inhibition of excessive mitochondrial autophagy, thereby inhibiting the activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome pathway.

4. Research progress on drug treatment and drug resistance mechanism of gastrointestinal stromal tumors

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) are the most common mesenchymal-derived tumors of the gastrointestinal tract. Tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) are the cornerstone of GIST therapy, but mutations in resistance genes pose many problems for treatment, especially the heterogeneity of KIT resistance mutations. In recent years, with the release of a number of GIST related drug research and experimental results, the great potential of targeted therapy, immunotherapy and combination therapy to treat GIST in different directions has been revealed, providing more therapeutic directions for GIST. This article will review the experimental research and future direction in recent years.
5.Analysis of the Current Status and Prospects of Multi-Omics Technologies in the Field of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Due to the complexity of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) interventions and the diversity of herbal components, single-omics technologies such as genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics often cannot comprehensively elucidate the scientific connotations of TCM. Multi-omics technologies driven by system biology can analyze the theoretical connotations and application mechanisms of TCM from different levels such as genes, gene expression, proteins, and metabolites, in line with the holistic view of TCM, which helps to promote the modernization of TCM. By reviewing the literature on the application of omics technologies in the field of TCM, it is found that multi-omics technologies have been widely used in TCM for syndrome differentiation, evaluation of herbal quality, elucidation of pharmacological mechanisms, and drug toxicity assessment, providing comprehensive explanations of the mechanisms of action of TCM and overcoming the limitations of single-omics technologies, and having obtained significant achievements. However, multi-omics technologies also face challenges such as high cost, difficulties in data analysis due to large data volumes, and insufficient translation of research results. In the future, it is expected that through strengthening interdisciplinary cooperation, conducting long-term and dynamic clinical research, standardizing and normalizing data analysis processes, adopting appropriate and reasonable multi-omics integration patterns, establishing multi-omics databases for TCM, revealing the individualized characteristics, therapeutic mechanisms, and disease regulatory networks of TCM, the modernization of TCM will be promoted.
6.Biological Basis of Glycometabolism and Lipid Metabolism Disorder and the Application of Regulating-States-and-Removing-Turbidity Method

Combining the knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicine on glucolipid metabolism disorders, it is believed that the formation process of glycolipid metabolism disorders can be presented as five states "depression, phlegm-dampness, heat, blood stasis, and deficiency", and the turbid pathogens run through the whole process. Accordingly, the method of "regulating states and removing turbidity" is proposed, which is specifically the method of resolving depression and turbidity, dispelling phlegm-dampness and turbidity, clearing heat and turbidity, dispelling blood stasis and turbidity, and replenishing deficiency and removing turbidity. Combined with the biological basis of glycolipid metabolism disorder, through the analysis of the clinical application of each method and the related mechanism of action, it is clarified that the method of regulating states and resolving turbidity can play a role in improving glycolipid metabolism disorder by regulating lipid metabolism disorder, insulin resistance, bile acid metabolism abnormality, intestinal bacterial flora, and its metabolite abnormality and other mechanisms of action.
7.Anterior pelvic ring external fixators of two new configurations in the treatment of Tile type C1 pelvic fracture: a biomechanical study

Objective:To investigate the biomechanical properties of anterior pelvic ring external fixators of two new configurations [iliac crest (IC)+anterior inferior iliac spine (AIIS), anterior superior iliac spine(ASIS)+AIIS] in the treatment of Tile type C1 pelvic fracture.Methods:A 3-dimensional finite element model of Tile type C1 pelvic ring injury (unilateral longitudinal sacral fracture and ipsilateral pubic fracture) was produced. The pelvis was fixed with external fixators of IC, AIIS, combination of IC and AIIS, combination of ASIS and AIIS, and S 1 sacroiliac screw in 5 types of models. In the simulated bipedal standing position and semi-recumbent position, the longitudinal displacement and back rotation angle displacement of the midpoint on the upper surface of S 1 were quantified and compared. Under the simulated left-right compression load state, the lateral displacements of the highest point of the lateral sacral fracture and the highest point of the lateral pubic fracture end were quantified and compared. Under the simulated anterior-posterior shear load state, the backward displacements of the highest point of the lateral sacral fracture end and the highest point of the lateral pubic fracture end were quantified and compared. Results:(1) In the simulated bipedal standing position under the vertical and longitudinal load state, the results of the longitudinal downward displacement of the midpoint on the upper surface of S 1 were consistent with the backward rotation angle displacement, and the order from largest to smallest was IC, AIIS, ASIS+AIIS, IC+AIIS and S 1 sacroiliac screw. The longitudinal downward displacement of IC was significantly larger than that of other models. The longitudinal downward displacement and backward rotation angle displacement of ASIS+AIIS and IC+AIIS were similar, and the latter was smaller. (2) In the simulated semi-recumbent position under the vertical and longitudinal load state, the results of the longitudinal downward displacement and backward rotation angle displacement of the midpoint on the upper surface of S 1 were also consistent, and the order from largest to smallest was IC, AIIS, ASIS+AIIS, IC+AIIS and S 1 sacroiliac screw. (3) Under the simulated left-right compression load state, the results of the lateral displacement of the highest point of the lateral sacral fracture end were consistent with that of the highest point of the lateral pubic fracture end, and the order from largest to smallest was S 1 sacroiliac screw, IC, AIIS, ASIS+AIIS and IC+AIIS. Among them, Among them, The lateral displacement of S 1 sacroiliac screw and IC was larger. The lateral displacement of ASIS+AIIS and IC+AIIS was similar, and the latter was smaller, significantly smaller than that of other models. (4) Under the simulated anterior-posterior shear load state, the results of the backward displacement of the highest point of the lateral sacral fracture end and the highest point of the lateral pubic fracture end were also consistent, and the order from largest to smallest was IC, AIIS, ASIS+AIIS, IC+AIIS and S 1 sacroiliac screw. Conclusions:For type C1 pelvic fracture, the biomechanical stabilities of IC+AIIS and ASIS+AIIS are superior to those of IC or AIIS, with ASIS+AIIS being slightly inferior to IC+AIIS. Compared with S 1 sacroiliac screw, IC or AIIS, the lateral stabilities of IC+AIIS and ASIS+AIIS are particularly prominent. The two new external fixator configurations in this study are worthy of clinical application.
8.Determination of pentachlorophenol in wooden chopping boards with gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry

Objective:
To optimize the determination of pentachlorophenol in wooden chopping boards through pretreatment of miniaturized samples.
Methods:
The pretreated wooden chopping board samples were subjected to ultrasound extraction (1 mL of 0.5 mol/L K2CO3 added in 5 mL extraction solution) in 8 mL acetone and 2 mL water, followed by derivatization with 0.3 mL acetic anhydride, extraction with n-hexane and separation with DB-5ms column (30 m×0.25 mm, 0.25 μm). Gas chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS) was performed in multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode with quantitative analysis using the internal standard method.
Results:
The GC-MS/MS assay showed a good linear relationship within the range of 0.01 to 0.2 µg/mL (R2>0.999), with a 0.003 mg/kg limit of detection and 0.01 mg/kg limit of quantitation. The mean recovery rates were 84.2% to 96.7% at spiked concentrations of 0.003, 0.01 and 0.03 mg/kg, with relative standard deviation of 2.2% to 6.1%.
Conclusions
The established GC-MS/MS assay is easy to perform, environment-friendly, highly accurate and sensitivity, which is feasible for determination of pentachlorophenol in wooden chopping boards.
9.Progress of miR-196 in the development and diagnosis of non-small cell lung cancer

Microribonucleic acid (miRNAs) is a widely existing endogenous single-stranded non-coding small RNA, which is stably expressed in tissues and body fluids. By complementing messenger RNA(mRNA) sequences, miRNAs degrade target mRNA and block the expression of protein-coding genes, playing a key role in post-transcriptional regulation and different biological processes. In recent years, more and more studies have shown that miRNAs are closely related to the occurrence and development of tumors. Among them, as a member of the miRNAs family, microribonucleic acid-196 (miR-196) is abnormally expressed in the serum, tissues and cells of patients with non-small cell lung cancer, participating in the occurrence and development of non-small cell lung cancer and playing an important regulatory role in various biological processes such as proliferation, invasion and metastasis, providing diagnostic evidence for early screening of non-small cell lung cancer.This paper reviews the progress of miR-196 in the development and diagnosis of non-small cell lung cancer.
10.The diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor: a single center retrospective study and literature review

Pulmonary inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (PIMT) is a rare lung tumor that is poorly understood by clinicians. Based on the data of patients with PIMT in our center, a comprehensive search and a brief summary analysis of previous reports of the disease were carried out in this article. PIMTs were more likely to be present in male patients and in the right lung, and their clinical and radiographic findings were heterogeneous. Surgery is the most important treatment method, and complete resection is of great significance to the prognosis of patients. Targeted therapy represented by crizotinib may be helpful for patients with positive ALK mutations.
