1.Effects of blue light through the brain-kidney axis of rats on the formation of kidney stones

		                        			Objective: To analyze the effects of blue light on the formation of kidney stones. Methods: A total of 40 rats were randomly divided into 4 groups:A,B,C,and D,with 10 rats in each group.Rats in groups C and D were administered with a mixture of 10 g/L ethylene glycol,20 g/L ammonium chloride,and 100 g/L calcium gluconate via gavage (2 mL per mouse),while rats in groups A and B received an equal volume of physiological saline via gavage.From the second day after gavage,rats in groups A and C were subjected to twice-daily blue light irradiation (one hour per session) as an intervention,while rats in groups B and D were subjected to fluorescent lamp irradiation using the same method.After 4 weeks of intervention,the 24-hour urine samples were collected,and the rats were then euthanized for the collection of blood and kidney tissue samples.Serum levels of antidiuretic hormone (ADH),urinary Ca
      ,and urinary oxalate (Oxa) were measured.Levels of malondialdehyde (MDA) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) in kidney tissues were detected using ELISA.Von Kossa staining was performed to observe pathological changes in kidney tissues and the presence of calcium salt crystals in the kidneys. Results: Compared with groups A and B,groups C and D showed higher accumulation of calcium salt crystals in renal tissues,as well as elevated levels of ADH,urinary Ca
      ,urinary Oxa,and MDA in renal tissues, additionally,the SOD level in renal tissues was lower (P<0.05).Compared with group D,group C exhibited higher accumulation of calcium salt crystals in renal tissues,along with increased levels of ADH,urinary Ca
      ,urinary Oxa,and MDA in renal tissues;conversely,the SOD level in renal tissues was lower (P<0.05). 3.Finite element analysis of femoral neck fracture treated by internal fixation of femoral neck system under nonanatomical reduction

		                        			BACKGROUND:Irreducible femoral neck fracture was difficult to obtain anatomic reduction.As a new type of internal fixation,the femoral neck system is still blank for the treatment of non-anatomical reduced femoral neck fractures. OBJECTIVE:To explore the biomechanical stability of femoral neck system internal fixation under nonanatomical reduction in the treatment of femoral neck fractures based on finite element analysis. METHODS:CT data of the hip joint of a healthy female adult were obtained.Anatomical reduction of femoral neck fracture models with Pauwels angles of 30°,50°,and 70° were established using Mimics 21.0,Geomagic Wrap 2021,and SolidWorks 2020.The fracture proximal ends of the three anatomical reduction models were shifted upward by 2 mm along the fracture line,and three positive buttress models with different Pauwels angles were obtained.In the same way,three negative buttress models were acquired by shifting downward by 2 mm.SolidWorks 2020 was used to make the femoral neck system internal fixation,and the nine femoral neck fracture models were assembled with the femoral neck system.Then Ansys 19.0 was used for finite element analysis.The displacement distribution and maximum displacement,stress distribution and maximum stress of the femur and femoral neck system were recorded under 2100 N stress. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1)When Pauwels angles were 30°,50°,and 70°,the maximum stresses of the femoral neck system appeared to be concentrated at the junction of the sliding hip screw and anti-rotation screw.The maximum femur stresses appeared to be concentrated in the medial cortex of the femur.The maximum displacement was concentrated at the upper of the femoral head and femoral neck system.(2)When Pauwels angles were 30° and 50°,the maximum displacement and maximum stress of the femoral neck system and femur were:negative buttress>anatomical reduction>positive buttress.(3)When Pauwels angle was 70°,the maximum displacement and maximum stress of the femoral neck system were:negative buttress>anatomical reduction>positive buttress;the maximum displacement and maximum stress of the femur were:negative buttress>positive buttress>anatomical reduction.(4)With the increase of Pauwels angle,the biomechanical advantage of the positive buttress was weakening.However,it was better than a negative buttress.When Pauwels angle was 30°,positive buttress was more stable than anatomical reduction.When Pauwels angle was 50°,the biomechanical difference between positive buttress and anatomical reduction became smaller.When Pauwels angle was 70°,the stability of anatomical reduction was slightly better than positive buttress.(5)If it was difficult to achieve anatomical reduction of femoral neck fracture during operation,but the positive buttress had been displaced within 2 mm,the femoral neck system could be used to offer stable mechanical fixation.It is necessary to avoid negative buttress reduction.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
4.Early outcomes of self-expanding interventional pulmonary valve in transthoracic implantation: A prospective clinical study

		                        			Objective To evaluate early outcomes of transthoracic pulmonary valve implantation for the treatment of moderate and severe pulmonary regurgitation by using homemade self-expanding valve (SalusTM). Methods Patients with severe pulmonary regurgitation who underwent transthoracic pulmonary valve implantation in Guangdong Provincial People’s Hospital from September 2, 2021 to November 25, 2022 were prospectively enrolled. The early postoperative complications and improvement of valve and heart function were summarized and analyzed. Results A total of 25 patients were enrolled, including 16 males and 9 females, with an average age of 24.5±1.5 years and an average weight of 57.0±3.0 kg. The mean systolic diameters of the bifurcation near the main pulmonary artery, the stenosis of the middle segment of the aorta and near the valve of the right ventricular outflow tract of the patients were 31.8±7.4 mm, 30.6±5.9 mm and 38.4±8.0 mm, respectively. All patients were successfully implanted with valves, and there were no serious complications such as death, coronary compression, stent fracture, valve displacement and infective endocarditis in the early postoperative period. The indexed left atrial longitudinal diameter, indexed right atrial longitudinal diameter, and indexed right ventricular outflow tract anteroposterior diameter decreased significantly after the operation. The degree of tricuspid and pulmonary valve regurgitation and the indexed regurgitation area decreased significantly. The above differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The early outcomes of transthoracic pulmonary valve implantation with homemade self-expanding pulmonary valve (SalusTM) in the treatment of severe pulmonary regurgitation is relatively good, and the long-term outcomes need to be verified by the long-term follow-up studies with large samples.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
5.Domestic self-expanding interventional pulmonary valve stent in transthoracic implantation for pulmonary valve regurgitation: A prospective cohort study

		                        			Objective  To analyze and summarize the early and medium-term outcomes of self-expanding interventional pulmonary valve stent (SalusTM) for right ventricular outflow tract dysfunction with severe pulmonary valve regurgitation. Methods  We established strict enrollment and follow-up criteria. Patients who received interventional pulmonary valve in transthoracic implantation in Guangdong Provincial People’s Hospital from September 2, 2021 to July 18, 2023 were prospectively included, and all clinical data of patients were collected and analyzed. Results A total of 38 patients with severe pulmonary regurgitation were included, with 23 (60.5%) males and 15 (39.5%) females. The mean age was 24.08±8.12 years, and the mean weight was 57.66±13.54 kg. The preoperative mean right ventricular end-diastolic volume index (RVEDVI) and right ventricular end-systolic volume index (RVESVI) were 151.83±42.84 mL/m2 and 83.34±33.05 mL/m2, respectively. All patients successfully underwent transcatheter self-expandable pulmonary valve implantation, with 3 (7.9%) patients experiencing valve stent displacement during the procedure. Perioperative complications included 1 (2.6%) patient of postoperative inferior wall myocardial infarction and 1 (2.6%) patient of poor wound healing. The median follow-up time was 12.00 (6.00, 17.50) months. During the follow-up period, there were no deaths or reinterventions, and no patients had recurrent severe pulmonary regurgitation. Three (7.9%) patients experienced chest tightness and chest pain, and 1 (2.6%) patient developed frequent ventricular premature beats. Compared with preoperative values, the right atrial diameter, right ventricular diameter, and tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion were significantly reduced at 6 months and 1 year postoperatively, with improvement in the degree of pulmonary regurgitation (P<0.01). Compared with preoperative values, RVEDVI and RVESVI decreased to 109.51±17.13 mL/m2 and 55.88±15.66 mL/m2, respectively, at 1 year postoperatively (P<0.01). Conclusion  Self-expanding interventional pulmonary valve in transthoracic implantation is safe and effective for severe pulmonary valve regurgitation and shows good clinical and hemodynamic results in one-year outcome.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
6.Research progress on the endocytosis pathway of nanoscale metal-organic frameworks drug carriers

		                        			 Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are crystalline materials with a multidimensional porous network structure, formed through coordination bonds with metal ions as nodes and organic ligands as connecting bridges. Due to their excellent physicochemical properties, MOFs have extensive applications in the field of biomedicine, ranging from antibacterials, drug carriers, imaging to sensors. Nanoscale metal-organic frameworks (nMOFs), commonly utilized drug carriers, can gain enhanced safety, targeted delivery, and superior therapeutic effect through endocytosis. In this review, we comprehensively summarize the factors influencing the endocytosis of nMOFs, focusing on three key physicochemical properties, particle size, morphology and surface modification. Based on different illness models, the review succinctly summarizes the latest advancements in understanding the endocytosis pathways of nMOFs while critically reflecting on the inherent limitations of current research methods. Lastly, the review offers valuable insights into future research methodologies and objectives, aiming to lay the groundwork and provide meaningful guidance for the synthesis and development of nMOFs as promising versatile drug carriers. 
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
7.Association of Serum Folate and Vitamin B12 Concentrations with Obesity in Chinese Children and Adolescents

		                        			Objective This study aimed to evaluate the associations of serum folate and/or vitamin B12 concentrations with obesity among Chinese children and adolescents. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted including 3,079 Chinese children and adolescents,aged 6 to 17 years,from Jiangsu,China.Anthropometric indices,such as,children's body mass index(BMI),BMI z-scores,waist circumference,and waist-to-height ratio were utilized.Multivariable linear regression and generalized additive models were used to investigate the associations of serum folate and vitamin B12 levels with anthropometric indices and odds of obesity. Results We observed that serum vitamin B12 concentrations were inversely associated with all anthropometric indices and the odds of general obesity[odds ratio(OR)= 0.68;95%confidence interval(CI)= 0.59,0.78]and abdominal obesity(OR = 0.68;95%CI = 0.60,0.77).When compared to participants with both serum vitamin levels in the two middle quartiles,those with both serum folate and vitamin B12 levels in the highest quartile were less prone to general(OR = 0.31,95%CI = 0.19,0.50)or abdominal obesity(OR = 0.46,95%CI = 0.31,0.67).Conversely,participants with vitamin B12 levels in the lowest quartile alongside folate levels in the highest quartile had higher odds of abdominal obesity(OR = 2.06,95%CI = 1.09,3.91). Conclusion Higher serum vitamin B12 concentrations,but not serum folate concentrations,were associated with lower odds of childhood obesity.Children and adolescents with high levels of vitamin B12 and folate were less likely to be obese.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
8.Relationship between Phenotypic Changes of Dendritic Cell Subsets and the Onset of Plateau Phase during Intermittent Interferon Therapy in Patients with CHB

		                        			Objective This study aimed to evaluate whether the onset of the plateau phase of slow hepatitis B surface antigen decline in patients with chronic hepatitis B treated with intermittent interferon therapy is related to the frequency of dendritic cell subsets and expression of the costimulatory molecules CD40,CD80,CD83,and CD86. Method This was a cross-sectional study in which patients were divided into a natural history group(namely NH group),a long-term oral nucleoside analogs treatment group(namely NA group),and a plateau-arriving group(namely P group).The percentage of plasmacytoid dendritic cell and myeloid dendritic cell subsets in peripheral blood lymphocytes and monocytes and the mean fluorescence intensity of their surface costimulatory molecules were detected using a flow cytometer. Results In total,143 patients were enrolled(NH group,n = 49;NA group,n = 47;P group,n = 47).The results demonstrated that CD141/CD1c double negative myeloid dendritic cell(DNmDC)/lymphocytes and monocytes(%)in P group(0.041[0.024,0.069])was significantly lower than that in NH group(0.270[0.135,0.407])and NA group(0.273[0.150,0.443]),and CD86 mean fluorescence intensity of DNmDCs in P group(1832.0[1484.0,2793.0])was significantly lower than that in NH group(4316.0[2958.0,5169.0])and NA group(3299.0[2534.0,4371.0]),Adjusted P all<0.001. 9.Association of Cytokines with Clinical Indicators in Patients with Drug-Induced Liver Injury

		                        			Objective To explore characteristics of clinical parameters and cytokines in patients with drug-induced liver injury(DILI)caused by different drugs and their correlation with clinical indicators. Method The study was conducted on patients who were up to Review of Uncertainties in Confidence Assessment for Medical Tests(RUCAM)scoring criteria and clinically diagnosed with DILI.Based on Chinese herbal medicine,cardiovascular drugs,non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDs),anti-infective drugs,and other drugs,patients were divided into five groups.Cytokines were measured by Luminex technology.Baseline characteristics of clinical biochemical indicators and cytokines in DILI patients and their correlation were analyzed. Results 73 patients were enrolled.Age among five groups was statistically different(P=0.032).Alanine aminotransferase(ALT)(P=0.033)and aspartate aminotransferase(AST)(P=0.007)in NSAIDs group were higher than those in chinese herbal medicine group.Interleukin-6(IL-6)and tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α)in patients with Chinese herbal medicine(IL-6:P<0.001;TNF-α:P<0.001)and cardiovascular medicine(IL-6:P=0.020;TNF-α:P=0.001)were lower than those in NSAIDs group.There was a positive correlation between ALT(r=0.697,P=0.025),AST(r=0.721,P=0.019),and IL-6 in NSAIDs group. Conclusion Older age may be more prone to DILI.Patients with NSAIDs have more severe liver damage in early stages of DILI,TNF-α and IL-6 may partake the inflammatory process of DILI.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
10.Risk factors and predictive model of cerebral edema after road traffic accidents-related traumatic brain injury

		                        			Purpose::Cerebral edema (CE) is the main secondary injury following traumatic brain injury (TBI) caused by road traffic accidents (RTAs). It is challenging to be predicted timely. In this study, we aimed to develop a prediction model for CE by identifying its risk factors and comparing the timing of edema occurrence in TBI patients with varying levels of injuries.Methods::This case-control study included 218 patients with TBI caused by RTAs. The cohort was divided into CE and non-CE groups, according to CT results within 7 days. Demographic data, imaging data, and clinical data were collected and analyzed. Quantitative variables that follow normal distribution were presented as mean ± standard deviation, those that do not follow normal distribution were presented as median (Q 1, Q 3). Categorical variables were expressed as percentages. The Chi-square test and logistic regression analysis were used to identify risk factors for CE. Logistic curve fitting was performed to predict the time to secondary CE in TBI patients with different levels of injuries. The efficacy of the model was evaluated using the receiver operator characteristic curve. Results::According to the study, almost half (47.3%) of the patients were found to have CE. The risk factors associated with CE were bilateral frontal lobe contusion, unilateral frontal lobe contusion, cerebral contusion, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and abbreviated injury scale (AIS). The odds ratio values for these factors were 7.27 (95% confidence interval ( CI): 2.08 -25.42, p = 0.002), 2.85 (95% CI: 1.11 -7.31, p = 0.030), 2.62 (95% CI: 1.12 -6.13, p = 0.027), 2.44 (95% CI: 1.25 -4.76, p = 0.009), and 1.5 (95% CI: 1.10 -2.04, p = 0.009), respectively. We also observed that patients with mild/moderate TBI (AIS ≤ 3) had a 50% probability of developing CE 19.7 h after injury (χ 2= 13.82, adjusted R2 = 0.51), while patients with severe TBI (AIS > 3) developed CE after 12.5 h (χ 2= 18.48, adjusted R2 = 0.54). Finally, we conducted a receiver operator characteristic curve analysis of CE time, which showed an area under the curve of 0.744 and 0.672 for severe and mild/moderate TBI, respectively. Conclusion::Our study found that the onset of CE in individuals with TBI resulting from RTAs was correlated with the severity of the injury. Specifically, those with more severe injuries experienced an earlier onset of CE.
