Objective:To evaluate the role of ubiquitin-specific peptidase 22 (USP22) in myocardial ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury in diabetic mice.Methods:Seventy-eight SPF male C57BL/6 mice, aged 6-8 weeks, were divided into 6 groups using a random number table method: sham operation group (Sham group, n=12), type 1 diabetes mellitus + sham operation group (T1D+ Sham group, n=12), myocardial I/R injury group (I/R group, n=12), type 1 diabetes mellitus + myocardial I/R injury group (DI/R group, n=12), type 1 diabetes mellitus + myocardial I/R injury + empty vector group (DI/R+ V group, n=15), and type 1 diabetes mellitus + myocardial I/R injury + USP22 overexpression group (DI/R+ U group, n=15). Type 1 diabetes mellitus was induced by intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin-citrate buffer. Myocardial I/R was induced by ligation of the left coronary artery. At 1 day before developing the myocardial I/R injury model, DI/R+ U group and DI/R+ V group received an intramyocardial injection of USP22 overexpression plasmid or empty vector plasmid, respectively. At 24 h of reperfusion, cardiac function was assessed using the echocardiography to measure the left ventricular ejection fraction and left ventricular fractional shortening. The mice were then sacrificed, and their hearts were harvested for measurement of the myocardial infarct size, for microscopic examination of pathological changes (using HE staining) and for determination of the apoptosis rate (TUNEL staining), reactive oxygen species(ROS) activity (DHE staining), and USP22 expression (by Western blot, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry). Proteomic analysis was performed to identify downstream proteins regulated by USP22, and protein-protein interactions were investigated using co-immunoprecipitation. Results:Compared with Sham group, the cardiac function indices were significantly decreased, the apoptosis rate of myocardial cells and ROS activity were increased, and USP22 expression in myocardial tissues was down-regulated in I/R group ( P<0.05). Compared with I/R group, the percentage of myocardial infarct size was significantly increased, the cardiac function indices were decreased, the apoptosis rate of myocardial cells and ROS activity were increased, and USP22 expression in myocardial tissues was up-regulated ( P<0.05), and the pathological damage to myocardial tissues was aggravated in DI/R group. Compared with DI/R+ V group, the percentage of myocardial infarct size was significantly decreased, the cardiac function indices were increased, the apoptosis rate of myocardial cells and ROS activity were decreased, and USP22 expression in myocardial tissues was up-regulated ( P<0.05), and the pathological damage to myocardial tissues was alleviated in DI/R+ U group. The results of proteomics combined with co-immunoprecipitation experiments showed an interaction between calponin 1 and USP22. Conclusions:During myocardial I/R injury in diabetic mice, USP22 may act as an endogenous protective mechanism, and calponin 1 might be a downstream mechanism through which USP22 exerts its protective effects.

ObjectiveTo visualize the research trends of verbal and nonverbal cognitive functions in patients with post-stroke aphasia (PSA). MethodsPapers about verbal and nonverbal cognitive functions after stroke were extracted from Web of Science Core Collection from establishment to August, 2022, and a bibliometric analysis was conducted on the distribution of articles published by year, author, journal, institution, and country. Author cooperation, author co-citation, journal co-citation, country/institution cooperation, dynamic evolution, keyword hotspots, and trends were visually analyzed by using VOSviewer software. ResultsA total of 1 630 publications were identified for final analysis. The first article related to the topic was retrieved in 2004. After that, the number of published papers showed an increasing trend year by year, with some fluctuations after 2019. Matthew A. Lambon Ralph and Elizabeth Jefferies were the authors who produced the most, were cited the most, and were the most influential. Neuropsychologia was a highly productive and well-cited publication. The University of Manchester in the United Kingdom and Johns Hopkins University in the United States were the nations/institutions with high yield and high centrality. Although China had a high yield and was in the top five, the centrality was insufficient. The dynamic emergence of keywords revealed that the research had gone through the following stages: evaluating the mechanism of language and nonverbal cognitive function impairment based on neuroimage, exploring the role of nonverbal cognitive dysfunction in pathology and recovery mechanisms of patients with PSA, examining the therapeutic mechanism of non-invasive brain stimulation and electronic tele-rehabilitation equipment, and revealing not only the frontal and temporal areas but also brain network supporting nonverbal cognition. ConclusionIn recent years, some achievements have been made in the researches on verbal and nonverbal cognitive function, particularly in the studies of the neuroimaging-based mechanisms of common damage and the intervention effects of synergistic therapy. In the future, academic cooperation between different regions and different teams needs to be strengthened. Further exploration should be focused on refining the cognitive neuropsychology and exploring new technologies to improve the therapeutic effect of PSA.

This paper aims to explore a new way to cultivate college students' autonomous learning ability by taking the flipped classroom teaching of molecular medicine in medical colleges as an example. In view of the specific teaching content and characteristics of molecular medicine, we formulated a mixed teaching plan based on flipped classroom. By setting the teaching objectives and tasks beforehand, students were guided to explore and acquire knowledge independently from the abundant teaching resources library. In order to test the effect of students' autonomous learning and expand the cultivation of students' ability of information collection and processing, inquiry initiation, and communication and cooperation, we launched classroom discussions, communications, questions answering and group collaborative research topic-based reports. Through the reform of teaching assessment system, students' autonomous learning status can be effectively monitored to help ensure the implementation of the flipped classroom.

Objective To evaluate the effect and cost-benefit of catheter drainage combined with stoma bags in the management of fecal incontinence associated dermatitis. Methods Cochrane Library, PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Chinese Biomedical Medical Disc, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang database and VIP database were searched up to March 2016 for the relative randomized controlled trials of catheter drainage combined with stoma bags in the management of fecal incontinence associated dermatitis. Two researchers independently extracted data and evaluated the quality of literature. Then, meta-analysis was performed by using RevMan 5.3 software. Results A total of eight RCTs were involved and 788 patients were included in the research. Meta-analysis showed that compared with the traditional method, catheter drainage combined with stoma bags improved the effective rate of management in patients with fecal incontinence associated dermatitis (RR=1.40,95%CI(1.13,1.72),P=0.002); reduced the incidence rate of incontinence associated dermatitis [RR=0.16, 95%CI(0.09,0.31),P<0.000 01];and reduced nursing time [MD=-0.91, 95%CI(-1.31,-0.51),P<0.000 01].Conclusions Meta-analysis showed that, the effect of catheter drainage combined with stoma bags in the management of fecal incontinence associated dermatitis is better than the routine skin care method. However, the included studies is not enough, so a large sample of high-quality RCTs are needed for further verification.
