Schistosomiasis was once hyper-endemic in Yunnan Province. Following concerted efforts for over 70 years, remarkable achievements have been made for schistosomiasis control in the province. In 2004, the Mid- and Long-term Plan for Schistosomiasis Prevention and Control in Yunnan Province was initiated in Yunnan Province, and the target for transmission control of schistosomiasis was achieved in the province in 2009. Following the subsequent implementation of the Outline for Key Projects in Integrated Schistosomiasis Control Program (2009—2015) and the 13th Five - year Plan for Schistosomiasis Control in Yunnan Province, no acute schistosomiasis had been identified in Yunnan Province for successive 12 years, and no local Schistosoma japonicum infections had been detected in humans, animals or Oncomelania hupensis snails for successive 6 years in the province by the end of 2020. The transmission of schistosomiasis was interrupted in Yunnan Province in 2020. This review summarizes the history of schistosomiasis, changes in schistosomiasis prevalence and progress of schistosomiasis control in Yunnan Province, and proposes the future priorities for schistosomiasis control in the province.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2021;42(3):417-421
Objective:
To explore the influence of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) on pubertal development of boys and girls and to provide a reference for the development of intervention measures.
Methods:
A stratified cluster sampling method was used to select a total of 1 156 students in grades three and four in the boarding school system and public primary schools in Huangshan City and surrounding towns in September 2018, using the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ) and the Pubertal Development Scale (PDS). For the baseline self-assessment survey, according to different dimensions, abuse children score no exposure groups. Children were divided into an exposure group and a high exposure level group, according to their childhood experiences. PDS self-report questionnaire was administered two years later, and an analysis of ACE type and severity of the continuous impact of youth development was conducted.
Results:
In the baseline survey, there were 53 girls (11.32%) and 51 boys (7.41%) who developed earlier. The rate of early development in girls was higher than that of boys, and the difference was statistically significant(χ 2=5.21, P<0.05). Univariate analysis showed gender differences in the effects of type and severity of ACEs and abuse on adolescent development at both baseline and follow-up. There were gender differences in the rate of early development between boys and girls at baseline and at follow-up between the exposure groups. Regression analysis showed that the higher the degree of emotional abuse, emotional neglect, and sexual abuse in girls, the higher the PDS score(B=0.22, 0.15, 0.08, P<0.05). In boys, the more severe the emotional abuse experienced, the higher the PDS score, and the more severe the physical abuse experienced, the lower the PDS score(B=0.20, 0.04, P<0.05).
Conclusion
Attention should be paid to the influence of ACEs and gender differences during youth development among male and female students, and more longterm studies should also be carried out.

Asian Nursing Research 2021;15(5):310-316
Purpose:
The goal of this study was to describe the current status of oncology nurses' behaviors toward end of life (EOL) care in China and to explore the factors associated with oncology nurses’ behaviors toward EOL care.
Methods:
A cross-sectional design was applied and a convenience sample of 1038 oncology nurses from 22 grade A hospitals were recruited into this study. A general social demographic data questionnaire was administered, and the Chinese version of Nurses’ Behaviors of Caring for Dying Patients Scale was used to assess nurse behavior toward EOL care. The total score ranges from 40 to 200 points. Data were analyzed with SPSS 26.0 software.
Results:
Chinese oncology nurses' average score of holistic EOL care behaviors was 2.97 ± 0.59. Oncology nurses provide physical care most (3.81 ± 0.76), followed by family care (3.02 ± 0.86), and spiritual care (2.37 ± 0.67). Multiple regression analysis showed that a higher frequency of sharing EOL care experience with colleagues, in-service palliative care education, higher level of head nurse support for EOL patient care, more cases of EOL care, higher working position, and nurse's perceived high level of support were positively associated with behavior toward EOL care. These six factors explained 16.2% of the total variance.
Conclusions
The results may help provide a basis for converting behavior for EOL care among oncology nurses and design interventions to better improve quality of life for EOL patients with cancer in China.

Objective:To translate Lnych Syndrome Self-Concept Scale into Chinese and test its reliability and validity. Methods:After translation, back translation and cultural adjustment, the Chinese version of Lynch Syndrome Self-Concept Scale was formed. From November 2018 to February 2019, the convenient sampling method was adopted to select 119 patients with Lynch syndrome in a ClassⅢ Grade A tumor specialist hospital in Guangzhou for investigation, and the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the scale were calculated. The reliability of the scale was expressed by Cronbach's α coefficient and split-half reliability; the content validity of the scale was expressed by content validity index ( CVI); the construct validity of the scale was analyzed by exploratory factor analysis. Results:Cronbach's α coefficient of internal consistency of the Chinese version of Lynch Syndrome Self-Concept Scale was 0.944, the split-half reliability was 0.922, and the scale-level content validity index ( S- CVI) in the content validity was 0.980. In construct validity, three common factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis, which represented stigma vulnerability dimension, gastrointestinal anxiety dimension and two positive problems of inxstigma vulnerability dimension, which explained respectively 49.392%, 9.875% and 8.007% of the total variation and cumulatively explained 67.274% of the total variation. Conclusions:Chinese version of Lynch Syndrome Self-Concept Scale has good reliability and validity. It is suitable for conducting surveys among Chinese patients with Lynch syndrome and it is used to determine the effects of genetic counseling and genetic testing on related self-cognition. At the same time, it is of reference significance for development of tools to measure the genes of hereditary tumor syndromes in Chinese population and the genetic influence on patients.

Objective To carry out the surveillance with sentinel mice in the key water areas of schistosomiasis endemic re-gions in Yunnan Province,so as to establish and perfect the surveillance and forecast system of schistosomiasis. Methods Six villages of three counties with schistosomiasis heavy endemic status were selected as the survey points. Then ,the surveillance and forecast with the sentinel mice were carried out in the key water areas in the survey points. The recovered sentinel mice were dissected in laboratory, and their serum antibodies against schistosome were detected. Meanwhile, the suspicious infested water contacts of the residents and livestock in the surveillance sites were investigated, and the endemic data of schistosomiasis in the survey points in recent 3 years were collected and analyzed. Results Totally 282 sentinel mice were placed in the water area, 252 were recovered, with a recovery rate of 90.78%,and 8 mice were dead, with a mortality rate of 3.13%. The number of mice with schistosome egg granuloma and adult worm detected were both 0,and the worm burden and the positive rate of serum anti-bodies against schistosome were both 0,too. The persons who contacted with the suspicious infested water were mainly villagers and students by harvesting and playing. The Oncomelania hupensis snail areas, the infection rates of residents and livestock were obviously declined in recent 3 years. Conclusions There are no positive sentinel mice found in the key water areas of the surveillance sites in Yunnan Province, which suggests that the schistosome infection risk of residents and livestock is low. How-ever,the comprehensive control measures, surveillance and forecast with sentinel mice in the key water areas of schistosomiasis endemic regions still should be strengthened.
