Kaempferol,a natural flavonoid compound, can be extracted from various traditional Chinese medicine, fruits and vegetables. It possesses effective physiological activity, low toxicity and low side effects. It has been revealed by the research results that kaempferol exhibits obvious preventive and inhibitory effects on many common cancers, such as colon cancer, breast cancer,leukemia,etc..The anti-tumor effects are mainly exerted by blocking cell cycle, inhibiting invasion and migration, inducing cell apoptosis and autophagy, and inhibiting aerobic glycolysis of tumors.Meanwhile, the combination of kaempferol and many drugs can produce synergistic anti-tumor and sensitizing effects. The nano-preparation of kaempferol has significant curative effect in the treatment of tumor, which indicates that kaempferol has a good clinical application prospect. In this work, the pharmacological research progress for anti-tumor effect of kaempferol in recent years was reviewed. This article aims to provide theoretical basis and research ideas for further research of kaempferol.

		                        			Objective:
To examine the prospective effect of cesarean section on pubertal development after controlling the polygenic susceptibility for early puberty in boys and girls, and to provide a reference for choosing a delivervary way beneficial to pubertal development.

		                        			Methods:
Cluster sampling method was used to select 997 students of grade 1 to 3 from 2 priwary schools in Bengbu of Anhui in 2016 to establish the puberty development cohort. Delivery mode, birth weight, gestational age, early teeding way, family income and parental educational background were derived from parental questionnaire. Breast Tanner stage and testicular volume of 997 children were annually assessed. The polygenic risk score (PRS) was computed based on 17 SNPs derived from published genome-wide association studies for early pubertal timing. Kaplan-Meier analyses was used to examine associations between cesarean section with pubertal development in boys and girls.

		                        			Results:
The average age of 997 children was 8.01±0.84 years old, and average BMI was (17.96±2.96) kg/m2. The prevalence of cesarean section for boys and girls was 43.30% and 32.47%, respectively. At baseline, the detection of thelarche in girls delivered by cesarean section (39.89%) was higher than that of girls delivered naturally (4.39%) (χ2=118.65, P<0.01). Similar result was observed during the last follow-up, the detection of thelarche in girls born by cesarean section (95.21%) was higher than girls born vaginally (68.48%), respectively (χ2=51.42, P<0.01). After adjusting for confounding factors (age, BMI, birthweight, infancy feeding, gestational age, household monthly income and parental education), girls delivered by cesarean section had maturation at significantly younger than girls who delivered naturally (Hazard Ratio, HR=1.98,95%CI=1.67-2.34,P<0.01).

		                        			Conclusion
Caesarean section might increase the risk of earlier age at pubertal onset in a sex-specific manner. Whether natural delivery could be one of the protective measures to prevent early pubertal timing in children warrants further investigation.

Objective To discuss the effect of applying internet-based formative evaluation in paediatric nursing teaching. Methods Three nursing classes from grade 2015 were selected as research subjects, and determined randomly as test group, control group 1 and control group 2. Internet-based formative evaluation was used in the test group, while control group 1 used traditional test papers, and control group 2 skipped formative evaluation. Results Analysis of the results and the total scores of the final examination showed no significant difference between the test group and the control group 1 (P>0.05), but the scores of both groups were significantly higher than that of the control group 2 (P<0.05). The scores of the students' evaluation to teachers in test group was better than that in control group 1 and control group 2, and the differences between the three groups were statistically significant (P<0.05). The average time of exams in the test group was shorter than that of control group 1, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). The cost of the test group was 0 yuan, while the cost of the control group1 was 638 yuan. Conclusion Although there is no significant difference in the teaching effect between the internet-based formative evaluation and traditional test papers , internet-based tests can significantly improve the students' interest in learning, increase the efficiency of teaching and learning, and improve the teaching quality . The internet-based formative evaluation can be widely used in nursing teaching.

BACKGROUND/AIMS: Kruppel-like factor 4 (KLF4) is an epithelial-specific transcription factor primarily expressed in the gastrointestinal tract that mediates growth arrest in the colonic epithelium. We tried to find whether KLF4 expression is associated with the progression and differentiation of colorectal cancer. METHODS: We detected KLF4 expression in 109 colorectal specimens (40 normal appearing mucosa, 7 adenomas, and 62 carcinomas) by immunohistochemistry using a tissue microarray. Western blot and RT-PCR analyses were also performed. RESULTS: The upregulation of KLF4 expression in carcinoma tissue was statistically significant (p<0.05) when compared to normal appearing mucosa. The negative and weak positive staining rates in normal appearing mucosa, adenoma, and carcinoma were 42.5%, 71.4%, and 82.3%, respectively, indicating a decreased degree of KLF4 expression over the course of progressive transformation of normal cells into malignant derivatives. KLF4 protein levels showed no correlation with sex, age, or metastatic state (p>0.05), while KLF4 protein expression correlated with the diagnostic stage (p<0.05). Furthermore, strong KLF4 staining was detected in 22.9% (11/48) and 0% (0/14) of well/moderately and poorly differentiated colorectal cancers, respectively. Our results clearly indicate that KLF4 protein expression significantly correlates with the degree of differentiation in colorectal cancers (p<0.05). KLF4 expression in RKO cells is also upregulated by butyrate, an inducer of differentiation. CONCLUSIONS: Downregulation of KLF4 expression may lead to more poorly differentiated tumors.

Objective To investigate the relationship between gallbladder wall-typing and the main portal vein, right portal vein hemodynamics in patients with liver cirrhosis. Methods The main portal vein, right portal vein hemodynamics and the thickness of gallbladder wall were examined in 69 patients with cirrhosis and 30 normal subjects (control group) with two-dimensional ultrasound, color Doppler ultrasound and high-frequency ultrasound. According to the gallbladder wall-typing, 69 patients with liver cirrhosis were divided into not thickened, simple thickening and bilateral subgroups. The paremeters of hemodynamics and the thickness of gallbladder wall were compared among groups. Results There was statistical difference in thickness of gallbladder wall among all 3 subgroups. Statistical difference of the diameter of main portal vein (D_(pv)) was found among the subgroups (P<0.01), except between not thickened and simple thickening subgroup. Statistical difference of the velocity of the main portal vein (V_(pv)) was found between simple thickening subgroup and control group, as well as between bilateral subgroup and the control group (P<0.01). Statistical differences of quantity of blood flow in the main portal vein (Q_(pv)) were detected between bilateral subgroup and other 2 subgroups and control group (P<0.05). No statistical difference of diameter of right portal vein (D_(rpv)) and quantity of blood flow in the right portal vein (Q_(rpv)) was found among all groups and subgroups. The velocity of the right portal vein (V_(rpv)) of bilateral subgroup was statistically different with that of the control group and the simple thickening subgroup (P<0.05). No statistical difference of Q_(rpv)/Q_(pv) existed between the patients with liver cirrhosis and the normal subjects (P>0.05). There was positive correlation between the gallbladder wall thickness and D_(pv) (r=0.886, P<0.01). Conclusion The gallbladder wall-typing has no correlation with the right portal vein hemodynamics, but is related with the main portal vein hemodynamics. The bilateral and the thickness of gallbladder wall can indirectly reflect the hemodynamic changes of main portal vein. Obstruction to flow of cystic vein is not the main hemodynamic cause for the gallbladder wall changes in patients with liver cirrhosis and portal hypertension cause, indicating that there may be some intrinsic mechanisms of this phenomenon.

Objective: To explore the reasonable compatibility of anesthetics in painless small intestinal endoscopy by comparing the influence of different target plasma propofol concentrations combined with remifentanil on anesthesia effects and respiratory and circulatory functions. Methods: Two hundred patients requiring small intestinal endoscopy were randomly divided into 4 groups,Group Ⅰ given 1% propofol only, with the target plasma propofol concentration set at 4.5 ?g/ml,and Group Ⅱ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ receiving 30-second injection of remifentanil(0.3 ?g/kg) 1 min before target-controlled infusion(TCI) of propofol, with the target plasma propofol concentration set at 3.0,3.5 and 4.0 ?g/ml,respectively.The mean arterial pressure(MAP),heart rate(HR),pulse oxygenation(SpO2),induction time, awakening time, orientation recovery time and the incidence of patients' body motion were observed before anesthesia,at the vanishment of the eyelash reflex, while the small intestine endoscope passing through the Treitz ligament or ileoceal valve and after endoscopy. Results: Compared with baseline values,MAP and HR were significantly decreased in all groups when the eyelash reflex vanished, markedly increased in Group Ⅰ,although not so obvious in Groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ,when the small intestinal endoscope passed through the Treitz ligament or ileoceal valve, and greatly reduced at all time points in Group Ⅳ,with difficult entrance of the small intestine endoscope due to low tension of the intestinal cavity.Comparatively, the induction time was shorter and the awakening time and orientation recovery time were longer in Group Ⅰ,the total dose of propofol and the incidence of body motion notably decreased in Groups Ⅱand Ⅲ,and the incidence of respiratory depression obviously increased in Group Ⅳ.Conclusion: Propofol TCI combined with remifentanil can be used safely and effectively in painless small intestinal endoscopy.Target plasma propofol concentration(3.5 ?g/ml) in combination with remifentanil(0.3 ?g/kg) gives more efficient anesthesia, lower incidence of body motion and respiratory suppression and better recovery. Therefore,it is the suitable anesthetic compatibility in painless small intestinal endoscopy.
