Objective To verify the genetic characteristics associated with gastric cancer, and to propose a hybrid feature selection method for identifying target genes, further analyzing their significance and establishing a new diagnostic prediction model. Methods Analysis of variance in bioinformatics was performed on the original gastric cancer data, and then machine learning methods such as random forest, recursive feature elimination of support vector machine, and LASSO algorithm were used to screen gastric cancer associated genes, and the intersection of results was taken as the key gene set.The key genes were identified and verified through enrichment analysis. The diagnosis and prediction models based on 8 kinds of machine learning classification algorithms such as multi-layer perceptron, logistic regression and decision tree, were constructed using the key genes. Results The key genes selected by the hybrid feature selection method were closely related to the tumorigenesis and development.Eight key genes(TXNDC5,BMP8A,ONECUT2,COL10A1,JCHAIN,INHBA,LCTL and TRIM59)were identified as potential markers of good diagnostic efficacy in gastric cancer. The ROC curve and accuracy results demonstrated that among the 8 classification models,MLP is the best gastric cancer prediction model, with an accuracy of 97.77%,which was 3.83%higher than that of Xgboost gastric cancer prediction model. Conclusion The study identifies 8 key genes for the diagnosis and prevention of gastric cancer, and establishes the optimal prognosis model.

Objective:To retrospectively analyze the efficacy of video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) in the treatment of solitary pulmonary nodule (SPN) and related factors affecting the diagnosis of benign and malignant SPN.Methods:The clinical data and surgical conditions of 317 patients with SPN who were resected by VATS and diagnosed by pathology in Chaoyang Central Hospital from January 2017 to December 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. The patient′s surgical efficacy and corresponding imaging features were explored. Results:Of the 317 patients, 124 (39.1%) cases underwent uniportal VATS and 193(60.9%) cases underwent multi-portal-portal VATS, 195(61.5%) cases had lobectomy, 16(5.1%) cases had anatomical segmentectomy, and 106(33.4%) cases had wedge resection. The operation time of the whole group was 50 - 210 (146.5 ± 34.7) min, intraoperative blood loss was 10 - 180 (69.3 ± 31.5) ml, thoracic drainage tube retention time was 2 - 7 (3.7 ± 1.4) d, postoperative hospital stay was 3 - 21 (6.4 ± 1.8) d, and the complication rate was 1.0%(3/317). No perioperative death occurred. Among all the nodules, 98(31.0%) cases were benign nodules and 219(69.1%) cases were malignant. Multivariate analysis showed that maximum nodule diameter, lobulated sign, burr sign, vascular bundle sign and pleural sag sign were independent related factors for the diagnosis of benign and malignant nodules ( P<0.05). Conclusions:VATS has less trauma and fewer complications, which has important clinical value for the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant SPN. Nodule maximum diameter, lobulated sign, burr sign, vascular bundle sign, pleural pit sign are independent related factors that affect the diagnosis of benign and malignant SPN.

Objective:
To make etiological diagnosis and evaluate the protective effects of post-exposure prophylaxis(PEP) in an event of one dog injured seven persons.
Methods:
Direct immunofluorescence assay (DFA) and nested polymerase chain reaction (PCR) were employed to detect nucleoprotein and nucleoprotein(N) gene of rabies virus in the brain tissues of the dog, the positive samples were sequenced for the full length of N gene of rabies virus, then the homology of the N gene of rabies virus was analyzed after the phylogenetic tree was constructed. Rapid fluorescent focus inhibition test (RFFIT) was applied to detect the rabies virus neutralizing antibodies(RVNA) on day 0, 14 and 40 after PEP.
Results:
The cerebral, cerebellar and hippocampal tissues were positive by DFA and nested PCR. The phylogenetic tree indicated the rabies virus belonged to the rabies virus genotype I. The homology of the nucleotide and amino acid of the rabies virus N gene were over 86% with the vaccine strains. The titer of the RVNA increased significantly from the day 0 to day 14 after PEP, the lowest was 5.78 IU/ml and the highest was 26.15 IU/ml. On the day 40, the highest RVNA titer was 51.96 IU/ml. No rabies cases occurred in a one year follow-up visit.
Conclusions
Normative PEP can effectively prevent the occurrence of rabies cases.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the association of maternal body composition and dietary intake with the risk of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).
METHODSA total 154 GDM subjects and 981 controls were enrolled in a prospective cohort study in 11 hospitals from May 20, 2012 to December 31, 2013. Bioelectrical impedance analysis and dietary surveys were used to determine body composition and to evaluate the intake of nutrients in subjects at 21-24 weeks' gestation (WG). Logistic regression analysis was applied to explore the relationships of maternal body composition and dietary intake with the risk of GDM morbidity.
RESULTSAge, pre-pregnant body weight (BW), and body mass index (BMI) were associated with increased risk of GDM. Fat mass (FM), fat mass percentage (FMP), extracellular water (ECW), BMI, BW, energy, protein, fat, and carbohydrates at 21-24 WG were associated with an increased risk of GDM. In contrast, fat free mass (FFM), muscular mass (MM), and intracellular water (ICW) were associated with a decreased risk of GDM.
CONCLUSIONMaternal body composition and dietary intake during the second trimester of pregnancy were associated with the risk of GDM morbidity.

ObjectiveTo investigate the serum prostate-specific antigen (tPSA),serum free PSA to total PSA ratio (f/tPSA),prostate volume (PV) and prostate-specific antigen density (PSAD) in early prostate cancer (PCa) diagnosis.MethodsRetrospective analysis was performed on serum PSA values and related test results from 252 cases of BPH patients and 49 patients with PCa.Prostate volume (PV) was measured by transrectal ultrasound (TRUS),and the f/tPSAand PSAD values were calculated. The differences of serum tPSA,f/tPSA,PV,and PSAD between BPH and PCa group were compared, the area under the ROC curve was used to evaluate these four indicators for its diagnostic sensitivity and diagnostic specificity.ResultsThe values of tPSA,PSAD in PCa group were significantly higher than BPH group ( P <0.05),while the values of f/tPSA,PV in PCa group were significantly lower than BPH group ( P <0.01orP <0.05).The ROC area showed that serum tPSA(0.8013),f/tPSA(0.7390),PV(0.5613) had lower diagnosis value than PSAD(0.9214) in early prostate cancer ( PSAD > tPSA > f/tPSA > PV).When the upper limit of normal PSA was set to take 4ng/ml,the sensitivity was 91.49%,diagnostic specificity was 51.05%.When the f/tPSA threshold set to 0.16,the diagnostic sensitivity was 57.78%,diagnostic specificity was 78.72%.When PSAD threshold was set to 0.15,diagnostic sensitivity was 88.24%,diagnostic specificity was 81.52%.ConclusionsPSA,f/tPSA and PSAD are indicators for biopsy or followup in early diagnosis of prostate cancer. In particular, the diagnostic value of PSAD has higher sensitivity and specificity than PSA and f/tPSA in the diagnosis of prostate cancer.
