1.Correlation of levels of serum Visfatin, CXCL12 and Sirt1 with carotid atherosclerosis in patients with T2DM

		                        			Objective  To investigate the correlation between serum Visfatin, CXC chemokine 12 (CXCL12) and silent information regulator 1 (Sirt1) levels and carotid atherosclerosis (CAS) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (type 2 diabetes mellitus ,T2DM). Methods  Four hundred and ninety-five patients with T2DM in the hospital from July 2021 to June 2023 were selected as the observation group, and 50 healthy volunteers were included in the control group. The levels of serum Visfatin, CXCL12 and Sirt1 were detected, and the above levels were compared between groups. The patients in the observation group were divided into simple T2DM group and T2DM with CAS group by means of the results of carotid ultrasound examination, and the clinical data were compared. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was performed to analyze the factors affecting the occurrence of CAS in T2DM patients. Spearman correlation analysis of serum Visfatin, CXCL12 and Sirt1 levels and severity of CAS was analyzed by Spearman correlation analysis.  Results  Compared with the control group, the levels of serum Visfatin and CXCL12 in the observation group were higher (t=14.524, t=11.536, all P<0.05) while the level of Sirt1 was lower (t=21.912, P<0.05). There were statistical differences in age, body mass index (BMI), FBG, HbAlc, FINS, TG, LDL-C, Visfatin, CXCL12 and Sirt1 between T2DM with CAS group and simple T2DM group (P<0.05). Multivariate analysis suggested that age (OR=2.155), FBG (OR=2.563), HbAlc (OR=2.472), FINS (OR=0.438), TG (OR=2.492), LDL-C (OR=2.445), Visfatin (OR=2.404), CXCL12 (OR=2.214) and Sirt1 (OR=0.398) were the influencing factors of CAS in patients with T2DM (P<0.05). The levels of serum Visfatin and CXCL12 were positively correlated with the severity of CAS (r=0.574, r=0.530, P<0.05), and the level of Sirt1 was negatively correlated with the severity of CAS (r=-0.621, P<0.05).  Conclusion  Serum Visfatin, CXCL12 and Sirt1 in T2DM patients are related to the occurrence and severity of CAS. Visfatin, CXCL12 and Sirt1 may be involved in the occurrence and development of CAS in T2DM patients.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
2.Prevalence trends of elevated blood pressure and its association with nutritional status among primary and secondary school students in Inner Mongolia

		                        			Objective:
		                        			To analyze the prevalence trends of different types of elevated blood pressure and their association with nutritional status among primary and secondary school students in Inner Mongolia from 2019 to 2024, providing references for targeted prevention strategies.
		                        		
		                        			Methods:
		                        			From September 2019 to 2024, a stratified random cluster sampling method was used to select 12 primary and secondary schools from each league city in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. A total of 177 108, 137 758, 190 182,  180 084 , 188 056, 180 351 primary and secondary school students (excluding grades one to three of primary school) were included for physical examination. The correlation between their nutritional status and high blood pressure was analyzed based on the basic situation of 129 821 primary and secondary school students who completed a questionnaire survey at the same time in 2024. Statistical analysis was conducted using a  Chi-square test and multiple Logistic regression model.
		                        		
		                        			Results:
		                        			From 2019 to 2024, the detection rates of elevated blood pressure were 13.60%, 13.68%, 17.60%, 17.24%, 14.77% and 15.96%, respectively. The rates for isolated systolic hypertension were 4.24%, 5.83%, 7.26%, 7.19%, 6.24% and 6.93%; isolated diastolic hypertension rates were 6.38%, 4.99%,  6.23 %, 6.41%, 5.39% and 5.66%; and combined systolic and diastolic hypertension rates were 2.97%, 2.86%, 4.11%, 3.65%,  3.14 % and 3.36%. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that girls, junior high school, senior high school, overweight, and obesity were positively associated with elevated blood pressure risk ( OR =1.27, 1.25, 1.32, 1.66, 3.07, all  P <0.05); conversely, county residence, Mongolian ethnicity, and other ethnicities showed negative associations ( OR =0.90, 0.93, 0.90, all  P <0.05).
		                        		
		                        			Conclusions
		                        			Overweight and obesity among children and adolescents are closely related to various types of elevated blood pressure. Prevention strategies should prioritize effectively controlling weight issues among children and adolescents, thereby effectively reducing the incidence of elevated blood pressure.

		                        			Objective: To systematically analyze the revisions content and technological development trends of microbiological standards in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia (ChP) 2025 Edition, and explore its novel requirements in risk-based pharmaceutical product lifecycle management. 
Methods: A comprehensive review was conducted on 26 microbiological-related standards to summarize the revision directions and scientific implications from perspectives including the revision overview, international harmonization of microbiological standards, risk-based quality management system, and novel tools and methods with Chinese characteristics. 
Results: The ChP 2025 edition demonstrates three prominent features in microbiological-related standards: enhanced international harmonization, introduced emerging molecular biological technologies, and established a risk-based microbiological quality control system. 
Conclusion: The new edition of the Pharmacopoeia has systematically constructed a microbiological standard system, which significantly improves the scientificity, standardization and applicability of the standards, providing a crucial support for advancing the microbiological quality control in pharmaceutical industries of China.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
4.Osteogenic ability and autophagy level between normal and inflammatory periodontal ligament stem cells

		                        			BACKGROUND:Inflammation affects the osteogenic differentiation of periodontal ligament stem cells,and the osteogenic ability and autophagy level of periodontal ligament stem cells are closely related.However,there are no relevant reports on whether inflammation affects the osteogenic ability and autophagy level of periodontal ligament stem cells at different stages of osteogenic differentiation. OBJECTIVE:To explore alkaline phosphatase expression and autophagy periodontal ligament stem cells levels in periodontitis and normal conditions. METHODS:Periodontal ligament stem cells from normal and periodontitis patients were isolated and cultured,and underwent Vimentin,pan-CK,and Stro-1 fluorescence staining.At 3,7,and 14 days of osteogenic differentiation,western blot assay was used to detect the protein expression levels of alkaline phosphatase,LC3B,Beclin1,and ATG5 in normal and inflammatory periodontal ligament stem cells.The mRNA expression levels of alkaline phosphatase,bone sialoprotein,osteocalcin,Runx2,LC3B,Beclin1,and ATG5 were detected by real-time PCR. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1)Stro-1 was positive,Vimentin was positive,and pan CK was negative in periodontal ligament stem cells.(2)At 3,7,and 14 days after osteogenic differentiation,compared with normal periodontal ligament stem cells,the mineralization nodules formed by periodontal ligament stem cells from inflammatory sources were significantly reduced(P<0.01);the expression of alkaline phosphatase protein and mRNA was significantly lower(P<0.05);the mRNA expression levels of bone sialoprotein,osteocalcin,and Runx2 were significantly decreased(P<0.05).(3)At 7 and 14 days after osteogenic differentiation,compared with normal periodontal ligament stem cells,the expression levels of ATG5,LC3B,and Beclin1 proteins and mRNA of periodontal ligament stem cells were downregulated(P<0.05).These findings suggest that inflammation reduces the activity of periodontal ligament stem cells in mineralizing nodule formation and the expression of alkaline phosphatase and weakens the autophagy potential of periodontal ligament stem cells at 7 and 14 days after osteogenic differentiation.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
5.Structure and Function of Rhizomicrobes Recruited by Acteoside in Root Exudates of Rehmannia glutinosa

		                        			ObjectiveTo reveal the correlation of Rehmannia glutinosa-soil feedback process with the formation of its continuous cropping obstacles through the identification of the root exudates of R. glutinosa and analysis of the specific rhizomicrobes recruited by the root exudate. MethodThe root exudates of R. glutinosa seedlings germinated under sterilized condition and those enriched in the rhizosphere of R. glutinosa cultivated in the field were collected and analyzed using the ultra-performance liquid chromatography quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry(UPLC-Q-TOF-MS). The highly abundant compounds identified in the root exudates were added into blank soil, and the soil microbial community was profiled using Illumina Miseq sequencing. The bacterial and fungal functions were predicted by PICRUSt and FUNGuild, respectively. ResultThe identification results showed that seven phenylethanoid glycosides were found in R. glutinosa root exudates, and acteoside possessed the highest abundance. In the soil enriched with acteoside, the bacterial genera such as Agromyces, Pseudomonas, Lysobacter, Sphingobium, Pseudoxanthomonas and Sphingomonas were enriched. For the fungi, the genera Neocosmospora, Plectosphaerella and Dactylonectria, and the species such as Neocosmospora rubicola, Plectosphaerella cucumerina, Dactylonectria alcacerensis and Fusarium solani showed higher abundance. The functional analysis indicated the above-mentioned bacterial genera may realize rapid proliferation by utilizing, biodegrading and transforming phenylethanoid glycosides, and some potential fungal pathogens were colonized. ConclusionThe R. glutinsoa-soil feedbacks were likely generated by the phenylethanoid glycosides in the root exudates together with the specific rhizomicrobes. The investigations of R. glutinsoa-soil feedbacks under continuous cropping system are critical to the further understanding of the underlying mechanisms related to its continuous cropping obstacles.

7.Reflections on Doctor-patient Relationship Caused by COVID -19 Epidemic Prevention and Control

		                        			The COVID -19 epidemic not only brings heavy burden to the society, but also makes the originally tense doctor-patient relationship closely connected from another aspect, which objectively becomes a new opportunity to improve the doctor-patient relationship. 8.Relationship between family resilience and mental health among military personnel:a cross lagged analysis

		                        			Objective To explore the causal relationship between family resilience and mental health in military personnel population.Methods A total of 204 military personnel were recruited from an army unit stationed in Western China with cluster convenience sampling.Family Resilience Scale(FRS)and Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90)were used to survey them twice,in an interval of 4 months.Amos 26.0 was applied to construct a cross-lag model and analyze the data.Results After controlling mental symptoms from the first survey,family resilience in the first measure significantly predicted mental symptoms in the second measure(β=-0.14,P<0.05).After controlling for family resilience from the first survey,mental symptoms in the first measure significantly predicted family resilience in the second measure(β=-0.13,P<0.05).Conclusion The relationship between family resilience and mental health is mutually causal in military personnel,and one predicts the other one.Our findings highlight the key dimensions of the relationship between the two.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
9.Knowledge, attitudes and practices towards scrub typhus control and associated influencing factors among residents in Longling County, Yunnan Province in 2023

		                        			 Objective To investigate the knowledge, attitudes and practices (KAP) towards scrub typhus control and analyse the influencing factors among residents in Longling County, Yunnan Province in 2023, so as to provide insights into management of scrub typhus in the county. Methods Two townships were randomly sampled from Longling County, Baoshan City, Yunnan Province in July 2023, and 2 to 3 administrative villages were randomly selected from each township. Then, 20 to 40 households were randomly selected from each village, and 1 to 2 villagers were surveyed in each household. Residents’ KAP towards scrub typhus control was investigated, and factor affecting residents’ KAP towards scrub typhus control were identified with independent samples t test or analysis of variance (ANOVA) and multiple linear regression analysis. Results A total of 417 questionnaires were allocated, and 410 valid questionnaires were recovered, with an effective recovery rate of 98.32%. Of all respondents, 65.85% (270/410) heard of scrub typhus but were not familiar with it, and 12.68% (52/410) and 1.95% (8/410) were familiar and very familiar with it, respectively. Residents mainly acquired scrub typhus control knowledge via their relatives and friends. The knowledge, attitude, and behavior scores of the respondents with regard to scrub typhus were (34.14 ± 13.07), (55.04 ± 6.69), and (21.40 ± 5.61), respectively, and the total score for knowledge, belief, and behavior in relation to scrub typhus prevention and control was (110.57 ± 18.80). Univariate analysis revealed that age (F = 3.12, P < 0.05), education (F = 10.77, P < 0.05), occupation (F = 4.89, P < 0.05), frequency of outdoor activities (F = 3.61, P < 0.05), and type of place of residence (t = 1.33, P < 0.05) were the factors that influenced the participants’ scores for knowledge of the prevention and control of scrub typhus. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that literacy level (β = 10.20 to 16.71, P < 0.05) and category of residence (β = −7.23, P < 0.05) were the factors that influenced residents’ current knowledge and trust behavior in relation to scrub typhus. Conclusions Place of residence and educational level are critical factors affecting scrub typhus control among residents in Longling County, Yunnan Province. Intensified health education pertaining to scrub typhus control and appropriate behavioral interventions are required among residents living in urban areas, with a low educational level and frequent outdoor activities. 
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
10.Association between unhealthy lifestyles and hypertension, diabetes and dyslipidemia in old adults in China

		                        			Objective:To analyze the individual and cumulative effects of unhealthy lifestyle on the prevalence of hypertension, diabetes and dyslipidemia in old adults in China, and find out the critical lifestyle in the network.Methods:Based on the baseline data of Yunnan Behavior and Disease Surveillance Cohort in 2021, a total of 16 763 older adults aged ≥60 years were included in our study. The unhealthy lifestyle factors including smoking, drinking, unhealthy eating habit, lower physical activity level, abnormal BMI and abnormal waist circumference. We calculated the unhealthy lifestyle score by using the cumulative exposures of each participant. Multiple logistic regression and mixed graphical models were used to describe the association between unhealthy lifestyle and the prevalence of hypertension, diabetes and dyslipidemia.Results:The prevalence of hypertension, diabetes and dyslipidemia were 57.0%, 11.5% and 37.0%, respectively. Most of the unhealthy lifestyles included in the study were risk factors for hypertension, diabetes and dyslipidemia, and the risks of disease increased with the increase of the unhealthy lifestyle score. The participants with the highest score (score: 6) had significantly higher prevalence of hypertension ( OR=3.99, 95% CI: 1.81-8.80), diabetes ( OR=4.64, 95% CI: 1.64-13.15) and dyslipidemia ( OR=4.26, 95% CI: 2.08-8.73) compared with those with lowest score (score: 0). In the network constructed by mixed graphical model, abnormal waist circumference (bridge strength=0.81) and hypertension (bridge strength=0.55) were vital bridge nodes connecting unhealthy lifestyle and hypertension, diabetes and dyslipidemia. Conclusions:The unhealthy lifestyle score was associated with risks for hypertension, diabetes and dyslipidemia.
