Objective To evaluate the impact of optimizing the stroke green channel on the efficiency of acute ischemic stroke management in a county hospital. Methods A retrospective analysis of the emergency stroke green channel treatment data from Sixian People’s Hospital from May 2020 to April 2021 (before optimization of the green channel) and from May 2021 to April 2022 (after optimization of the green channel) was conducted. The rates of intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) and mechanical thrombectomy (MT) patients, as well as door-to-needle time (DNT), door-to-puncture time (DPT), and the modified Rankin scale (mRS) scores of patients three months post-treatment before and after the optimization of the stroke green channel were compared. Results Within one year before and after optimization of the green channel, the number of acute visits for ischemic stroke was 3 143 and 2 623, respectively. Before optimization, 84 and 51 underwent IVT and MT, respectively. After optimization of the green channel, the ratios of patients underwent IVT (n=215) and MT (n=103) significantly increased, and both DNT and DPT were significantly shortened (P<0.000 1); the proportion of MT patients with an mRS score of 0-2 at 3 months post-discharge significantly increased (46/99 vs 13/46, P=0.038). Conclusion After optimizing the green channel at Sixian People’s Hospital, the efficiency of stroke treatment has significantly improved, and the patients’ prognosis improved.

Objective To investigate the health information literacy level of breast cancer patients, and discuss its influence on the network knowledge acquisition. Methods A total of 1130 breast cancer patients from four tertiary comprehensive hospitals in Zhengzhou were studied by using the general data questionnaire, the health information literacy self-rating depression scale and the network knowledge acquisition questionnaire. The cross-sectional study was used in the research. Results Breast cancer patients who had certain health information literacy level accounted for 32.9% (372/1130). The health information application was the dimension with the lowest literacy level 8.6% (97/1130). The health information literacy of patients living in cities, having a higher education level and having a disease course longer than five years, was relatively high (P<0.05). The breast cancer patients mainly searched the professional medical websites, and the contents were mainly about therapeutic schedule, pharmacy scheme, symptoms, complications and other contents. 62.6% of such patients were suspicious of the network information and would re-verify it. Patients having no health information literacy mainly searched the profitable commercial charging websites, and the contents were mainly about diet guide, exercise training and hospitals. 54.4% of such patients were convinced of the network information. Trust attitudes of the patients in two groups towards the network knowledge were obviously different (P<0.05).Conclusions The health information literacy level of breast cancer patients is relatively low. The clinic medical workers should conduct personalized training and guidance based on the condition of health information literacy of breast cancer patients,in order to improve the patients′ ability to acquire network knowledge and increase patients′ execution force in medical decisions.
