1.Evaluation of curative effects of arthroscopic external tension band fixation in the treatment of greater tubercle fracture of the humerus

		                        			Objective:To compare the clinical outcomes of arthroscopic external tension band fixation versus open reduction and internal fixation in the treatment of greater tubercle fracture of the humerus.Methods:A retrospective cohort study was conducted on 55 patients with greater tubercle fracture of the humerus admitted to Taizhou Hospital of Zhejiang Province from September 2019 to June 2022, including 24 males and 31 females, aged 26-80 years [(61.7±10.5)years]. Out of them, 35 patients treated with open reduction and internal fixation (open reduction group), and 20 patients were treated with external anchor tension band under arthroscopy (arthroscopy group). The operation time, and the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score, American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) score, Constant-Murley score and shoulder active range of motion (anterior flexion, abduction and posterior extension) before operation, at 1 month after operation and at the last follow-up were compared between the two groups. Bone healing was observed in both groups at the last follow-up. Postoperative complications were compared between the two groups.Results:All the patients were followed up for 12-29 months [(16.9±4.0)months]. There was no significant difference in operation time between the two groups ( P>0.05). There were no significant differences in the VAS score, ASES score, Constant-Murley score and shoulder active range of motion between the two groups before operation ( P>0.05). The VAS score of the arthroscopy group was 3(2, 3)points at 1 month after operation, which was significantly lower than that of the open reduction group [4(3, 4) points] ( P<0.01). No significant difference was found in the VAS score at the last follow-up between the two groups ( P>0.05).The ASES scores of the arthroscopy group were (70.6±4.2)points and (90.2±3.7)points at 1 month after operation and at the last follow-up respectively, which were significantly higher than those of the open reduction group [(64.7±6.4)points and (87.5±4.9)points respectively] ( P<0.05 or 0.01). There was no significant difference in the Constant-Murley score between the arthroscopy group [(71.8±4.3)points] and the open reduction group [(70.9±5.3)points] at 1 month after operation ( P>0.05), while the Constant-Murley score of the arthroscopy group was (94.1±3.1)points at the last follow-up, which was significantly higher than that of the open reduction group [(89.2±4.7)points] ( P<0.01). At 1 month after operation and at the last follow-up, ranges of motion of the anterior flexion, abduction and posterior extension were (52.7±12.3)° and (140.0±16.9)°, (57.4±8.6)° and (125.0±14.3)°, and 16(15, 19)° and 25(20, 30)° in the arthroscopy group respectively, which were significantly higher than those in the open reduction group [(42.2±5.2)° and (110.9±14.0)°, (52.8±6.0)° and (103.7±11.7)°, and 10(10, 20)° and 16(15, 25)° respectively] ( P<0.05 or 0.01). At the last follow-up, it was found that bony union was achieved in both groups. There were no obvious complications such as incision infection or joint stiffnessin both groups. In the open reduction group, 2 patients had internal fixation failure within 1-3 months after operation but was treated with revision operation; 6 patients developed shoulder stiffness at 3-6 months after operation but had outpatient rehabilitation. The incidence rate of postoperative complications in the arthroscopy group [0%(0/20)] was significantly lower than that in the open reduction group [23%(8/35)] ( P<0.05). Conclusion:Compared with open reduction and internal fixation with plates and screws, arthroscopic external anchor tension band fixation in the treatment of greater tuberosity fracture of the humerus has the advantages of earlier pain relief, better shoulder functional improvement, better recovery of shoulder mobility, and fewer complications.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
2.The application of spectral CT multiparametric myocardial imaging in preoperative non-invasive assessment for percutaneous coronary intervention

		                        			Objective:To investigate the clinical value of multiparametric myocardial imaging using a dual-layer detector spectral CT in the non-invasive preoperative assessment of patients with coronary atherosclerotic heart disease (CHD) undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).Methods:The clinical and imaging data of 90 patients who underwent coronary CT angiography (CCTA) with dual-layer spectral detector CT and invasive coronary angiography (ICA) within 30 days at the Affiliated Changshu Hospital of Nantong University from January 2021 to October 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. A total of 189 coronary arteries were included in the study cohort. The patients were divided into PCI ( n=44) and non-PCI groups ( n=46) according to whether they received PCI after evaluation with ICA. The diameter stenosis rate of the coronary arteries, myocardial iodine concentration (IC) and effective atomic number (Z eff) values were obtained from CCTA conventional and spectral images. The IC values and Z eff values of the myocardium in the areas with abnormal perfusion were compared with those in the areas with normal perfusion. The diagnostic performance of these parameters, as well as their combined model, was evaluated and compared using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve and area under the curve (AUC) in the pre-PCI assessment of patients with CHD. Results:Baseline patient data did not show statistically significant differences between the PCI and non-PCI groups (all P>0.05). There were statistically significant differences in IC values [(0.42±0.28) and (2.26±0.48) mg/ml] and Z eff values (7.39±0.33 and 8.50±0.25) between the myocardium areas with abnormal perfusion and the myocardium areas with normal perfusion in all patients (all P<0.001). The AUC for assessing whether patients with CHD need PCI treatment using myocardial IC and Z eff values were 0.865 and 0.853, respectively, which were significantly higher than assessment based only on lumen diameter stenosis rate (AUC=0.726, P<0.001). Conclusions:The IC and Z eff derived from myocardial spectral images can be used to diagnose myocardial perfusion abnormalities in patients with CHD. The spectral myocardial multi-parameters imaging shows promising potentials in pre-PCI assessment of patients with CHD, which can improve the efficiency of evaluation and may help to avoid unnecessarily invasive procedures.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
3.Differences in the Elderly Care Service Demand,Preference,and Tendency Between Urban and Rural Areas in the Pearl River Delta

		                        			Objective To understand the differences in the demand,preference,and tendency for elderly care services between urban and rural areas in the Pearl River Delta(PRD),and to provide reference for the planning and balanced allocation of elderly care resources in urban and rural areas.Methods Using the multi-stage stratified random sampling method,we selected 7 community health service centers in 2 prefecture-level cities in the PRD and conducted a questionnaire survey on the elderly care service demand,preference,and tendency among 1919 regular residents aged 60 years and above who attended the centers.Results A total of 641 urban elderly residents(33.4%)and 1278 rural elderly residents(66.6%)were surveyed in the PRD.The urban and rural elderly residents showed differences in the child number(χ2 =43.379,P<0.001),willingness to purchase socialized elderly care services(χ2 =104.141,P<0.001),and attitudes to the concept of raising child to avoid elderly hardship(χ2 =65.632,P<0.001).The proportion(71.8%)of rural elderly residents who prefer family-based elderly care was higher than that(57.1%)of urban elderly residents(χ2 =41.373,P<0.001).The proportion(62.2%)of urban elderly residents clearly expressing their willingness to choose institutions for elderly care was higher than that(44.0%)of rural elderly residents(χ2 =57.007,P<0.001).Compared with family-based elderly care,the willingness to choose institutional or community-based in-house elderly care was low among the urban elderly residents with surplus monthly household income or balanced income and expenditure;urban males,those with college education background or above,and those who purchased so-cialized elderly care services tended to prefer community-based in-house elderly care.In rural areas,the elderly residents who had local household registry were prone to choose institutional or community-based in-house elderly care,while those who had more than one child and those who were satisfied with the current living conditions were less willing to choose community-based in-house elderly care.Conclusions It is suggested that the urban-rural differences in the elderly care service demand,preference and tendency should be fully considered in the planning and allocation of urban and rural elderly care resources.Efforts remain to be made to develop diversified social elderly care services tailored to the characteristics of urban and rural areas.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
4.Arthroscopic-assisted paired double-Endobutton through thin tenuous bone tunnel in the treatment of Rockwood type Ⅲ-Ⅴ acromioclavicular joint dislocation

		                        			Objective:To analyse the clinical efficacy of arthroscopic double-bundle Endobutton fixation of the thin bone channel in the treatment of Rockwood type III-V acromioclavicular joint dislocation.Methods:A total of 34 patients with acromioclavicular joint dislocation, 24 males and 10 females, aged 50.9±11.0 years (range, 21-74 years), who underwent arthroscopic double-bundle Endobutton fixation of the thin bone channel at Zhejiang Province Taizhou Hospital, Wenzhou Medical University, from February 2015 to February 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. There were 24 cases on the left side and 10 cases on the right side. Causes of injury: 23 cases of car accident, 7 cases of fall, 4 cases of falling from height. Rockwood classification: Type III 17 cases, type IV 9 cases, type V 8 cases. The visual analogue scale (VAS), American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) score, Constant-Murley score, and joint range of motion were used to evaluate shoulder pain and functional improvement.Results:All patients successfully completed the operation and were followed up for an average of 16.6±2.8 months (range, 12-24 months). Postoperative VAS scores were significantly lower compared to preoperative scores ( F=199.408, P<0.001), with the final follow-up VAS score being 1.32±0.47, significantly lower than the preoperative score of 4.71±1.19 ( P<0.001). Postoperative ASES scores were significantly higher compared to preoperative scores ( F=335.838, P<0.001), with the final follow-up ASES score being 88.85±6.41, significantly higher than the preoperative score of 34.76±5.79 ( P<0.001). The Constant-Murley scores of 3 months, 6 months after operation and the last follow-up were 77.79±5.34, 87.40±5.19 and 88.17±4.40, respectively, which were higher than that before operation 37.41±6.52, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). At the final follow-up, shoulder flexion, adduction, and abduction were 172.9°±6.4°, 59.2°±6.2°, and 59.3°±5.9°, respectively. The coracoclavicular distance was 1.76±0.42 mm, 0.84±0.19 mm, and 0.87±0.18 mm before operation, 3 months after operation, and at the last follow-up, respectively, and the difference was statistically significant ( F=101.160, P<0.001). Whereas, 3 months postoperative and the final follow-up were smaller than the preoperative ones, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). All incisions healed in one stage, and there was no vascular or nerve injury, internal fixation infection, coracoid process or clavicle bone tunnel fracture, or internal fixation loosening or breakage. Conclusion:Arthroscopic double-bundle Endobutton fixation with thin bone channel for the treatment of Rockwood type III-V acromioclavicular joint dislocation can improve shoulder function and reduce pain, with high surgical safety.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
5.IL-17D improves cytotoxic function of CD93+CTL in lung tumor micro-environment and promotion of Platycodon grandiflorum

		                        			Objective:To investigate mechanisms of IL-17D on cytotoxic function of CD93+CTL in lung tumor microenviron-ment(TME)and promotion of Platycodon grandiflorum(PG).Methods:Lung of B16 melanoma model mice and control mice were treated with PG or IL-17D,and lung tumor clone formation was observed.IL-17D expression change in lung was detected by single cell sequencing,immunofluorescence staining and flow cytometry.Single cell sequencing and flow cytometry were used to detect CD93+CTL content,cytotoxic phenotype and functional factors changes,including CD107a,perforin,granzyme B,chemokine CCL2,CXCL9 and their ligand CCR2 and CXCR3.Western blot and RT-PCR were used to detect effect of Platycodonopsis saponin D on IL-17D and its transcriptional regulator NRF2 expressions in EL4 cells.Results:Pulmonary CD93+CTL highly expressed cytotoxic effectors such as perforin and CD107a and chemokine receptors CXCR3 and CCR2 than CD93-CTL,while there was no significant difference in secretion of granzyme B.In mouse lung tumor model,pulmonary IL-17D and CD93+CTL were significantly decreased(P<0.001);in tumor-bearing mice after IL-17D backfill assay,or after 10 days of treatment with PG,proportion and absolute number of IL-17D and CD93+CTL in lungs were significantly increased(P<0.05),and tumor clones were significantly reduced;meanwhile,tumor-local expressions of cytokines CCL2,CXCL9,which are related to recruitment and function of CD93+CTL,and IL-17D were significantly upregulated.Up-regulation of IL-17D and its transcriptional regulator NRF2 by PG was verified in vitro experiments on EL4 cell line by PD.Conclusion:Traditional Chinese medicine PG and its extracts can up-regulate expression of IL-17D in lungs,improve infiltration and cytotoxic function of CD93+CTL and antagonize malignant progression of lung tumors,this is an important phar-macological mechanism of PG in improving immune TME of tumors in lung.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
6.Study of hospitalization risk indicators for intensive care unit patients evaluated by intelligent calculation method

		                        			Objective:To explore the characteristics of the changes in risk score for intensive care unit (ICU) patients during hospitalization by the intelligent calculation method, and to provide evidence for the risk prevention.Methods:In this retrospective study, ICU patients of the Fifth Central Hospital in Tianjin from November 3, 2021 to March 28, 2022 were enrolled and divided into ≥ 14 days group, 10-13 days group, 7-9 days group, and 3-6 days group according to the ICU length of stay. Risk scores assessed by the intelligent calculation method of the ICU patients were collected, including nutritional risk screening 2002 (NRS 2002), Caprini score and Padua score. NRS 2002 score for all patients, Caprini score for surgical patients and Padua score for internal medicine patients were selected. Trends in change of each score were compared between patients admitted to ICU 1, 3, 7 (if necessary), 10 (if necessary), and 14 days (if necessary).Results:A total of 138 patients were involved, including 79 males and 59 females, with an average age of (61.71±18.86) years and an average hospital stay of [6.00 (4.00, 9.25)] days. ① in the group with ICU length of stay ≥ 14 days (21 cases): there was no significant change in the NRS 2002 scores of the patients within 10 days, but the NRS 2002 score was significantly decreased in 14 days as compared with 1 day [3.00 (2.50, 3.50) vs. 4.00 (3.00, 5.00), P < 0.05]; both Caprini and Padua score were increased with prolonged hospital stay and compared with 1 day, the scores at the other time points were significantly increased, especially at 14 days [Caprini score: 5.00 (3.25, 7.00) vs. 2.50 (1.25, 5.50), Padua score: 6.00 (6.00, 7.00) vs. 3.00 (1.00, 3.00), both P < 0.05].② in the group with ICU length of stay from 10-13 days (15 cases): with the prolonged hospital stay, there was no significant change in NRS 2002 score, but both Caprini and Padua score were increased at 3, 7, 10 days, especially at 10 days [Caprini score: 3.00 (2.00, 4.75) vs. 2.00 (0.25, 2.75), Padua score: 5.00 (3.50, 6.00) vs. 2.00 (0.50, 4.00), both P < 0.05].③ in the group with ICU length of stay from 7-9 days (23 cases): compared with 1 day, the NRS 2002 score at 3 days and7 days were decreased, but the Caprini and Padua score were increased, especially at 7 days [NRS 2002 score: 2.00 (1.00, 4.00) vs. 2.00 (2.00, 4.00), Caprini score: 3.00 (2.00, 5.50) vs. 2.00 (0.25, 3.00), Padua score: 5.00 (4.00, 6.00) vs. 2.00 (0, 2.00), all P < 0.05]. ④ in the group with ICU length of stay from 3-6 days (79 cases): compared with 1 day, the NRS 2002 score at 3 days was decreased [NRS 2002 score: 2.00 (1.00, 3.00) vs. 2.00 (1.00, 3.00), P < 0.05], Caprini and Padua score were significantly increased [Caprini score: 3.00 (2.00, 4.00) vs. 2.00 (1.00, 3.00), Padua score: 5.00 (4.00, 5.00) vs. 2.00 (1.00, 3.00), both P < 0.05]. 8.Comparison of pulmonary circulation hemodynamics and respiratory mechanics induced by drowning with equal volume of freshwater and seawater in sheep: a randomized controlled study

		                        			Objective:To compare the effects of freshwater and seawater drowning on sheep's pulmonary circulation hemodynamics and respiratory mechanics.Methods:According to the random number table method, healthy crossbred sheep were divided into freshwater drowning group ( n = 12) and seawater drowning group ( n = 12). 30 mL/kg of freshwater or seawater was infused respectively through trachea for approximately 5 minutes. Before the drowning, immediately after drowning, and 30, 60, 120 minutes after drowning, the systemic circulation hemodynamic parameters [heart rate (HR), mean arterial pressure (MAP), cardiac output (CO)] were monitored by pulse indicator continuous cardiac output (PiCCO); the respiratory parameters were obtained through the ventilator, including tidal volume (VT), lung compliance (Cdyn), oxygenation index (PaO 2/FiO 2), peak airway pressure (Ppeak)]; PiCCO and the right heart floating catheter (Swan-Ganz catheter) was used to measure pulmonary hemodynamic parameters [pulmonary systolic pressure (PAS), pulmonary diastolic pressure (PAD), pulmonary artery wedge pressure (PAWP), and extravascular lung water (EVLW)]. The animals were sacrificed at the end of the experiment, and the amount of residual water in the respiratory tract was measured; the pathological changes in the lung tissue were observed by hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining. Results:① Systemic circulation hemodynamics: compared with the values before drowning, HR, MAP, and CO at the time of immediately after drowning in both freshwater and seawater were significantly increased and peaked. In addition, all indicators in the freshwater drowning group were significantly higher than those in the seawater drowning group [HR (bpm): 170.75±1.87 vs. 168.67±2.27, MAP (mmHg, 1 mmHg = 0.133 kPa): 172.92±1.62 vs. 159.42±3.18, CO (L/min): 13.27±0.71 vs. 10.33±0.73, all P < 0.05].② Respiratory parameters: compared with values before drowning, PaO 2/FiO 2, VT, and Cdyn decreased immediately in both freshwater and seawater drowning groups, Ppeak was significantly increased; in addition, the values in the seawater drowning group were decreased or increased more significantly than freshwater drowning group [PaO 2/FiO 2 (mmHg): 37.83±1.99 vs. 60.42±5.23, VT (mL): 86.25±7.66 vs. 278.75±9.67, Cdyn (mL/cmH 2O): 8.86±0.33 vs. 23.02±0.69, Ppeak (cmH 2O, 1 cmH 2O = 0.098 kPa): 42.17±2.69 vs. 17.67±1.15, all P < 0.01]. In addition, PaO 2/FiO 2 in the freshwater drowning group was gradually increased over time, while the seawater group continued to decline.③ Pulmonary circulation hemodynamic parameters: PAS, PAD, PAWP at the time of immediately after drowning in both freshwater and seawater groups were significantly higher than before drowning; in addition, the freshwater drowning group was significantly higher than the seawater drowning group [PAS (mmHg): 34.58±2.87 vs. 26.75±1.66, PAD (mmHg): 27.25±1.22 vs. 16.75±0.87, PAWP (mmHg): 27.83±1.85 vs. 11.75±1.82, all P < 0.01]. Thereafter, PAS and PAD in the freshwater drowning group gradually decreased, while the parameters in the seawater drown group continued to increase. PAWP gradually decreased after freshwater or seawater drowning, and recovered to pre-drowning levels 120 minutes after drowning and 30 minutes after drowning, respectively. EVLW continued to increase after freshwater drowning, reaching a peak at 30 minutes, and then decreased, until 120 minutes after drowning was still significantly higher than that before drowning (mL/kg: 10.73±1.27 vs. 7.67±0.69, P < 0.01); EVLW could not be measured.④ Residual water in the respiratory tract: residual water in the freshwater drowning group was significantly less than that in the seawater drowning group (mL: 164.33±25.21 vs. 557.33±45.23, P < 0.01).⑤ HE staining: partial alveolar atrophied in the freshwater drowning group, some alveolar spaces were broken, alveolar spaces and alveolar cavity showed a little powdery substance deposition; it was noted that alveolar expanded in the seawater drowning group, alveolar spaces were broken and bleeding and edema were obvious in the interstitial space. Conclusion:The effect of seawater drowning on the respiratory mechanics and pulmonary circulation of animals is more obvious than that of freshwater drowned animals, and the amount of residual water in the respiratory tract is also significantly more than that of freshwater drowned animals.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
9.Effect of different fluid resuscitation strategies on renal function in patients with septic shock induced acute kidney injury

		                        			Objective:To compare the therapeutic effect of fluid resuscitation strategy guided by pulse-indicated continuous cardiac output (PiCCO) monitoring and early goal-directed therapy (EGDT) on renal function of acute kidney injury (AKI) patients caused by septic shock.Methods:Septic shock patients with AKI admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of Tianjin Fifth Central Hospital and Teda International Cardiovascular Hospital from March 2017 to February 2020 were enrolled. All patients were given fluid resuscitation. Patients were divided into PiCCO-guided fluid resuscitation group [PiCCO group, intrathoracic blood volume index (ITBVI) was maintained between 850-1 000 mL/m 2] and EGDT-guided fluid resuscitation group [EGDT group, central venous pressure (CVP) was maintained between 8-12 mmHg (1 mmHg = 0.133 kPa) or CVP ≤ 15 mmHg when patients received mechanical ventilation (MV)] according to both the patient's condition and the informed consent of the patient's family. The changes of heart rate (HR), mean arterial pressure (MAP), CVP, blood lactic acid (Lac), fluid balance, urine volume and serum creatinine (SCr) at 6, 24, and 48 hours after fluid resuscitation in the two groups were observed, and the renal replacement therapy (RRT), duration of MV, length of ICU stay and 28-day mortality between the two group were compared. Results:① A total of 94 patients were enrolled, including 51 in the EGDT group and 43 in the PiCCO group. There was no significant difference in gender, age, acute physiology and chronic health evaluation Ⅱ (APACHE Ⅱ) score, sequential organ failure assessment (SOFA) score, procalcitonin (PCT), HR, MAP, CVP, Lac or SCr at ICU admission between the two groups. ② The parameters of hemodynamics, fluid balance, urine volume and SCr were improved with the time of resuscitation in the two groups, and there was no significant difference in HR, MAP or Lac between the two groups. Compared with the EGDT group, the CVP decreased significantly at 24 hours and 48 hours after fluid resuscitation in the PiCCO group (mmHg: 9.1±0.9 vs. 12.0±1.3 at 24 hours, 8.0±1.0 vs. 10.2±1.3 at 48 hours), the fluid balance significantly decreased (mL: 2 929.8±936.3 vs. 3 898.4±923.5 at 24 hours, 3 143.5±1 325.4 vs. 4 843.8±1 326.7 at 48 hours), and the condition of urine volume and SCr were better in the PiCCO group [urine volume (mL·kg -1·h -1): 1.02±0.21 vs. 0.79±0.14 at 24 hours, 1.28±0.18 vs. 0.94±0.22 at 48 hours; SCr (μmol/L): 145.7±37.6 vs. 164.3±46.4 at 24 hours, 128.4±33.6 vs. 143.5±37.7 at 48 hours), with significant differences (all P < 0.05). ③ Compared with the EGDT group, the rate of RRT in the PiCCO group was lower [11.6% (5/43) vs. 17.6% (9/51)], the duration of MV and the length of ICU stay were shorter [duration of MV (days): 4.64±1.31 vs. 6.50±2.19, length of ICU stay (days): 10.35±3.50 vs. 14.50±5.78), with significant differences (all P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the 28-day mortality between the PiCCO group and EGDT group [14.0% (6/43) vs. 15.7% (8/51), P > 0.05]. Conclusion:Fluid resuscitation strategy guided by PiCCO in septic shock patients with AKI can reduce the amount of fluid load, improve renal function, shorten the MV duration and length of ICU stay, and shows clinical significance.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
10.Clinical and radiological analysis of patients with diplopia after acute lacunar infarction

		                        			Objective To analyze the clinical,radiological features and risk factors of diplopia in patients with acute lacunar infarction (ALI).Methods Retrospectively retrieved patients of ALI (lesion diameter was less than 1.5 cm in DWI sequence)diagnosed by MR and clinical.We further summarized 13 ALI patients with diplopia and randomly selected 13 ALI patients without diplopia as the control group. SPSS22.0 statistical software was used for statistical analysis.The general clinical data such as sex and age was compared by Ch-i square test and t-test.The risk factors were primarily analyzed by one-way ANOVA and then the risk factors with statistical significance were brought into the logistic regression model for multivariate analysis.Results The incidence of diplopia in ALI patients was about 2.7%(13/489). The infarct sites were all located in the brain stem of the oculomotor-related brain nucleus and the dorsolateral medulla oblongata.Hypertension and hematocrit were negatively correlated with diplopia after infarction (P<0.05 ).Conclusion The incidence of diplopia is low in ALI patients.The medial longitudinal tract of the dorsolateral medulla is an important area causing diplopia.Hypertension and hematocrit are non-risk factors for diplopia after ALI.
