OBJECTIVE To evaluate the clinical value of anlotinib in third-line treatment for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) through real-world data. METHODS Clinical data of patients with advanced NSCLC who received treatment at the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Chinese Medicine from February 2021 to December 2024 were retrospectively collected. They were divided into anlotinib group (27 cases, receiving anlotinib therapy) and immunotherapy group (22 cases, receiving immunotherapy agents alone or in combination with chemotherapy drugs) according to treatment regimens. The progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) of patients were compared between the two groups, and the occurrence of adverse drug reactions during the treatment period was recorded. Using a partitioned survival model, an economic evaluation of the two treatment regimens was conducted with a cost-utility analysis approach from the perspective of the healthcare system. RESULTS The median PFS and OS of patients in the anlotinib group were 5.93 months and 11.27 months, respectively; the median PFS and OS of patients in the immunotherapy group were 5.33 months and 9.77 months, respectively; the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). There was no statistical difference in the total incidence of adverse drug reactions and grade 3-4 serious adverse drug reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Compared with the immunotherapy group, the incremental cost-effectiveness ratio of the anlotinib group was 1 806 724.60 yuan/quality-adjusted life year (QALY), which was significantly higher than three times China’s per capita gross domestic product in 2024 (287 247 yuan/QALY). CONCLUSIONS For third-line treatment of advanced NSCLC patients, the efficacy of anlotinib is no worse than that of immunotherapy alone or in combination with chemotherapy drugs, and the safety of the two groups is comparable. However, anlotinib is not cost-effective.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2025;46(6):788-791
Objective:
To analyze the features of unhealthy lifestyle patterns among primary and secondary school students in the nutrition improvement program for rural compulsory education students (NIPRCES) areas in China in 2021 and 2023, so as to provide data support for lifestyle promotion and healthy development among primary and secondary school students.
Methods:
Adopting a cluster random sampling method, data on primary and secondary students aged 7-15 years from nutrition and health surveillance of China NIPRCES in 2021 and 2023 were collected. The prevalence of unhealthy lifestyles among primary and secondary students such as physical inactivity, outdoor inactivity, excessive screen time, and sleep deprivation by gender, school section, urban/rural, and region were analyzed. The reporting rates of the above indicators among primary and secondary students were compared by Chi-square test.
Results:
In 2021 and 2023, the rates of moderate to vigorous physical inactivity among primary and secondary school students were 79.2% and 80.4%, the rates of outdoor inactivity were 42.8% and 49.3%, the rates of excessive video time were 2.6% and 2.9%, the rates of sleep deprivation were 32.9% and 22.6%, and the differences were statistically significant( χ 2=51.86,1 071.48,18.36,3 296.99, P <0.05). In 2023, the rate of outdoor inactivity for primary and secondary students increased by 6.5 percentage points compared with 2021, and the rate of sleep deprivation decreased by 10.3 percentage points compared with that in 2021. In 2021 and 2023, the reporting rates of moderate to vigorous physical inactivity, outdoor inactivity, and sleep deprivation among girls and junior high school students were higher than those among boys ( χ 2=174.41,180.11; 175.75, 85.46 ;92.22,151.35) and elementary school students ( χ 2=136.64,5.75; 40.55,4.71;162.80,3 291.61); the reporting rates of moderate to vigorous physical inactivity( χ 2=194.43,118.60) and sleep deprivation ( χ 2=969.66,983.72) among urban students were higher than those among rural students; the reporting rates of excessive video time for boys and junior high school students were higher than those for girls ( χ 2=103.62,84.85) and elementary school students ( χ 2=810.09,626.51)( P <0.05). From a regional distribution perspective, the reporting rates of moderato to vigorous physical inactivity, outdoor inactivity, and excessive video time among primary and seconday school students in the central and western regions were lower than those in the eastern region ( χ 2= 663.44,302.78; 356.97,82.10;50.89,81.83) ( P <0.05).
Conclusions
Unhealthy lifestyles remain prevalent among primary and secondary students in NIPRCES areas of China. These findings underscore the need to strengthen policy implementation for promoting healthy lifestyles among primary and secondary school students.
4.Correlation between beverage dependence and sleep quality among college students
Chinese Journal of School Health 2025;46(8):1125-1129
Objective:
To explore the relationship between beverage dependence and sleep quality among college students, providing empirical evidence for improving their sleep quality.
Methods:
From December 2024 to January 2025, a convenience sampling method was used to conduct a questionnaire survey among 3 974 college students from four universities in Anhui Province. The Beverage Addiction Scale for College Students (BASCS) was used to assess beverage dependence, and the Self rating Scale of Sleep(SRSS) was used to evaluate sleep quality. A multivariate Logistic regression model was employed to analyze the relationship between beverage dependence and sleep quality, and a restricted cubic spline model was used to examine the dose response relationship between the two.
Results:
The positive rate of beverage dependence symptoms among college students was 7.6%, with positive rates of 9.6%, 13.8%, and 7.4% for the withdrawal symptoms, health effects, and dependence symptoms dimensions, respectively. The detection rate of sleep disorders was 23.6%. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that after adjusting for covariates such as grade, gender, and body mass index, compared with the no beverage dependence group, students with positive beverage dependence symptoms had a higher risk of sleep disorders( OR =3.71, 95% CI =2.87-4.80, P <0.01). The OR (95% CI ) for sleep disorders among students with positive symptoms in the withdrawal symptoms, health effects, and dependence symptoms dimensions were 2.80(2.22-3.53), 2.38(1.95-2.91), and 2.45(1.89-3.18)(all P <0.01). Further analysis using a restricted cubic spline model revealed that the overall beverage dependence score and its three dimensional scores were approximately linearly related to the risk of sleep disorders among college students (all nonlinear P >0.05).
Conclusions
Beverage dependence is associated with sleep quality among college students. Schools should take multiple approaches, such as health education on beverage awareness, to improve students sleep quality.

China Pharmacy 2024;35(5):536-541
OBJECTIVE To explore the neuroprotective effect and possible mechanism of celastrol (Cel) and its derivatives (Cel-1, Cel-2) in terms of neuroinflammation and oxidative damage. METHODS Neuroinflammation model of microglial BV2 cells was induced by 1 μg/mL lipopolysaccharide (LPS); oxidative damage model of human neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells was induced by 200 μmol/L hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). The toxicity of different concentrations of Cel, Cel-1 and Cel-2 (0.625-20 μmol/L) to the two types of cells was investigated. The levels of nitric oxide (NO), tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α), interleukin 1β (IL-1β), and IL-6 in BV2 cells induced by LPS at safe concentrations (0.039-0.625 μmol/L) were all detected. The survival rate of SH-SY5Y cells induced by H2O2 was also determined. The expression levels of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K), p-PI3K, protein kinase B (Akt), p-Akt, cystatinase 3 (caspase-3), B-cell lymphoma 2 (Bcl-2) and Bcl-2-related X protein (Bax) in SH- SY5Y cells induced by H2O2 at 0.156, 0.313, 0.625 μmol/L of active compound 2 were all detected. RESULTS In the concentration gradient range between 0.039 and 0.625 μmol/L, the results of neuroinflammation model experiments showed that Cel, Cel-1 and Cel-2 could reduce the contents of NO, TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 in culture medium of BV2 cells (P<0.05 or P< 0.01); their IC50 values for neuroinflammation were (0.25±0.04), (0.61±0.14) and (0.11±0.02) μmol/L respectively. Meanwhile, all of them could reverse the phenomenon of decreased cell survival rate after H2O2 treatment in the oxidative damage experiments at a certain concentration (P< 0.05 or P<0.01), with neuroprotective EC50 values of (0.43± XJC2023009) 0.08), (0.45±0.04) and (0.28±0.03) μmol/L, respectively.Induced by H2O2, the phosphorylation of PI3K and Akt protein, protein expressions of Bcl-2 and Bcl-2/Bax ratio were all increased significantly (P<0.05 or P<0.01), while the protein expressions of caspase-3 and Bax were decreased significantly (P<0.05 or P<0.01). CONCLUSIONS Cel, Cel-1, and Cel-2 all have significant neuroprotective activities at certain concentrations, and Cel-2 shows the most significant protective effect. The mechanism of action of Cel-2 may be related to regulating the PI3K/Akt and caspase-3/Bcl-2/Bax signaling pathways, reducing the inflammatory response, oxidative stress damage and inhibiting neuronal apoptosis.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata on neurological function injury in ischemic stroke rats and explore its mechanism. MethodMale SD rats were randomized into sham operation, model, low- and high -dose (3.5 g·kg-1 and 7 g·kg-1) Rehmannia Radix Praeparata, and nimodipine (0.01 g·kg-1) groups. The rat model of middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) was established with the modified suture occlusion method. Zea-Longa 5-point scoring was employed to evaluate the neurological function of rats. The cerebral infarction volume was detected by 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride (TTC) staining. Hematoxylin-eosin staining and Nissl staining were employed to observe the morphology and damage of the brain tissue. Meanwhile, the serum levels of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), oxidative stress-related indicators superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4), and malondialdehyde (MDA), and the iron (Fe) content in the brain tissue were determined. To explore the mechanism of Rehmanniae Radix Preparata in mitigating the neurological damage in ischemic stroke rats, Western blotting was employed to determine the expression levels of proteins in the ischemic brain tissue. The autophagy-associated proteins included autophagy effector (beclin-1), microtubule-associated protein light chain 3 (LC3B), and ubiquitin-binding protein p62 (p62). The ferroptosis-associated proteins included transferrin (TF), transferrin receptor 1 (TFR1), ferritin heavy chain 1 (FTH1), and ferropotin (FPN1). The neurological function injury-associated proteins included brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and tyrosine kinase receptor B (TrkB). ResultCompared with the sham operation group, the model group showed increased neurological function score, cerebral infarction volume, and appearance of nuclear pyknosis and vacuole of cells in the cerebral cortex. In addition, the model group presented elevated levels of LDH, MDA, and Fe (P<0.01) and lowered levels of SOD and GPX4 (P<0.01). Compared with the model group, Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata decreased the content of LDH, MDA, and Fe (P<0.05, P<0.01) and elevated the levels of SOD and GPX4 (P<0.05, P<0.01). Compared with the sham operation group, the modeling promoted the expression of beclin-1,LC3B Ⅱ/Ⅰ, TF, and TFR1 and inhibited the expression of p62, FTH1, FPN1, BDNF, and TrkB (P<0.01). The expression levels of these proteins were recovered after the treatment with Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata. ConclusionRehmanniae Radix Praeparata may inhibit ferroptosis and improve the neurological function in ischemic stroke rats by down-regulating the autophagy level in the brain tissue.

Objective:To evaluate the effect of venous excess ultrasound score (VExUS Score) in the acute kidney injury(AKI) in Patients with sepsis, so as to reduce the risk of disease and improve the prognosis of patients. Methods:This experiment was a single-center prospective cohort study. Include septic patients with AKI who were admitted to the Department of Emergency Intensive Care Unit of the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University from February 2022 to February 2023, Those with inadequate window, inferior vena cava (IVC) thrombus, age<18 years and known case of cirrhosis with portal hypertension were excluded from the study. Patients underwent ultrasound examination with serial determination till AKI resolved or patient is initiated on dialysis. Results:Totally 86 patients were enrolled for the study. The mean age was (60.43±15.48) with 50 (58.1%) males. Mean sequential organ failure assessment (SOFA) score was (6.23±1.87). 38 patients (44.2%) were in AKI stage 1, while 24 patients (27.9%) were in AKI stage 2 and stage 3 each. 52 patients (60.5%) had VExUS grade Ⅲ. Resolution of AKI injury showed significant correlation with improvement in VExUS grade ( p value 0.003). Similarly, there was significant association between changes in VExUS grade and fluid balance ( p value 0.005). There was no correlation between central venous pressure (CVP), left ventricular function, and right ventricular function with change in VExUS grade. Conclusions:The study shows a significant correlation between the VExUS Score and AKI staging, With improvement in kidney function, there is decline in the VExUS grade as well. Moreover VExUS Score might reliably demonstrate venous congestion and aid in the clinical decision to perform fluid removal.
