ObjectiveBy observing the effect of Qianyang Yuyin granules on the phenotype of renal tubule epithelial cells， the intervention of Qianyang Yuyin granule on renal interstitial fibrosis was investigated. MethodThe renal tubular epithelial cells （HK-2） were treated with different concentrations of transforming growth factor （TGF）-β₁ （5， 10， 15， 20， 25 μg·L^-1） for 24 hours， and cell morphology and growth state were observed with an inverted phase contrast microscope. The 20 μg·L^-1 was selected as the most appropriate concentration of TGF-β₁ according to Western blot results for subsequent experiments. HK-2 cells were divided into six groups： blank group， TGF-β₁ group （concentration of 20 μg·L^-1）， low， medium， and high dose Qianyang Yuyin granule groups （concentration of 0.5， 1， 2 g·L^-1）， and valsartan group （1 × 10^-5 mol·L^-1）. The cell activity was measured by cell proliferation and cell counting kit-8 （CCK-8）. The cell migration ability was detected by scratch test. The Transwell method was used to detect the invasiveness of cells. Western blot was used to detect levels of fibronectin （FN）， E-cadherin， α-smooth muscle activator （α-SMA）， Vimentin， collagen type Ⅰ（Col Ⅰ）， collagen type Ⅳ（Col Ⅳ）， and other related proteins. ResultTGF-β₁ stimulating epithelial-mesenchymal transition （EMT） in renal tubular epithelial cells was time- and concentration-dependent. Compared with the blank group， higher concentration in the TGF-β₁ group indicates longer intervention time and more obvious long spindle change of cells， and the migration and invasion ability of the cells was significantly enhanced. The protein expression level of FN， α-SMA， Vimentin， Col Ⅰ， and Col Ⅳ increased significantly （P<0.05， P<0.01）， while the expression level of E-cadherin protein decreased （P<0.05）. Compared with the TGF-β₁ group， Qianyang Yuyin granule groups could maintain normal cell morphology， and the migration and invasion ability of the cells was inhibited. The protein expression level of FN， α-SMA， Vimentin， Col Ⅰ， and Col Ⅳ decreased （P<0.05， P<0.01）， and the expression of E-cadherin protein was significantly restored （P<0.05）. ConclusionQianyang Yuyin granule can reverse TGF-β₁-induced interstitial transformation of renal tubular epithelial cells by reducing the phenotypic expression of mesenchymal cells and increasing the phenotypic expression of epithelial cells.

Objective: To analyze the impact of parental sports concept and behavior on physical activity in preschool children, so as to provide a foundation for future guidance on fostering childrens physical activity within the family context. Methods: From November to December 2020, a clustered convenience sampling method was employed to conduct surveys, and a total of 283 children were selectal from one kindergarten each in Beijing, Shenyang, and Xian. Participating children wore ActiGraph GT9X accelerometers continuously for one week to collect data on different intensity levels of physical activity. Physical Activity afterschool Questionnaire for Preschooler (P-PAQ) was utilized to assess parental sports concept and behavior. The gender differences in physical activity level and physical activity compliance rate were analyzed by using ttest, Mann-Whitney U test, and Chisquare test; and the relationship between parental exercise concepts and behaviors and physical activity of preschool children was analyzed using Spearman rank correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. Results: Parental sports concept was significantly positively correlated with average daily moderatetovigorous physical activity (MVPA) and total physical activity (TPA) in children (r=0.12-0.16, P<0.05). Parental sports behavior was significantly positively correlated with childrens average daily TPA (r=0.25, P<0.05). Multiple linear regression revealed that parental sports concept was positively correlated with average daily MVPA and TPA in both boys and girls (B=0.65-0.83), while parental sports behavior only was positively correlated with boys average daily MVPA and TPA (B=0.24-0.25)(P<0.05). Conclusions Parental sports concept and behavior can impact physical activity levels in preschool children, exhibiting gender differences. Future guidance on physical activity in family upbringing should consider both parental sports concept and behavior, and pay attention to the influence of childrens gender.

Objective To analyze the expression of CREM in gastric cancer(GC)and its correlation with prognosis of the patients.Methods TCGA and GEO databases were used to analyze the expression levels of CREM mRNA in GC and adjacent tissues.Immunohistochemistry was used to examine the expression of CREM protein in 43 pairs of GC and adjacent tissues,and the correlation of CREM expression with clinicopathological features of the patients was analyzed.Kaplan-Meier survival analysis was used to explore the relationship between CREM expression and survival of GC patients.LinkedOmics database was used to annotate the GO function and KEGG pathway enrichment of CREM-related genes.Results Database analysis showed that CREM was highly expressed in GC tissues(P<0.05)and positively correlated with poor prognosis in GC patients(P=0.01).Immunohistochemistry results showed significantly higher CREM expression in GC tissues than in paired adjacent tissues(P<0.0001),and its expression level was correlated with T-stage and N-stage of the tumor(P<0.05).The overall survival of GC patients with high expression of CREM was shorter(RR=4.02,P=0.0046).Gene enrichment analysis showed that high CREM expression promotes occurrence and progression of GC very likely through the cell adhesion signaling pathway.Conclusion CREM is highly expressed in GC,and its high expression is associated with a poor prognosis of GC patients,suggesting the potential of CREM to serve as a prognostic indicator for GC.

Objective Through the investigation of Tongxuan Lifei prescription and Tongxuan Lifei prescription to reduce Ephedrae Herba on the respiratory system,central system,urinary system,circulatory system and digestive system of model rats with wind-cold superficies symptoms,to explore the effect of the ascending and floating of Ephedrae Herba on the efficacy of Tongxuan Lifei prescription and to provide theoretical basis for clinical prescription.Methods 60 SD rats were randomly divided into normal group(CON),model group(M),paracetamol group(Y,0.455 g·kg-1),Ephedrae Herba group(MH,2.340 g·kg-1),Tongxuan Lifei prescription group(TX,4.326 g·kg-1)and Tongxuan Lifei prescription to reduce Ephedrae Herba group(TX-MH,3.920 g·kg-1),10 rats in each group.Except for the CON group,the rats of the groups were modeled with fan blowing and cold stimulation.The model was successful when the rats appeared in a state of crouching or condensed,decreased spontaneous activity,hunched back,sneezing,and elevated body temperature.After successful modeling,the corresponding drugs(10 mL·kg-1)were given respectively,and the rats in the CON and M group were given the same volume of distilled water for 4 consecutive days.The basic state of the rats was observed,ammonia induced cough,phenol red excretion and levels of inflammatory factors(IgE,IL-4,IFN-γ)in BALF,lung histopathological sections and oxidative stress(MDA,SOD and GSH-Px)levels were determined to investigate the effects of TX and TX-MH on the respiratory system.The effects of TX and TX-MH on the central system were investigated by the open field experiment,the sleep time of rats and the levels of inflammatory factors(IgE,IFN-γ,IL-4)in serum.The effects of TX and TX-MH on digestive system were investigated by gastrointestinal motility and levels of motilin(MTL),somatostatin(SST)and gastrin(GT)in plasma.The effects of TX and TX-MH on the urinary system were investigated by the levels of toe sweat secretion,urine volume,serum creatinine(CRE)and blood urea nitrogen(BUN).The effects on the circulatory system were investigated by the rat cardiac function and the levels of serum NO.Results TX could increase the body weight and decrease the body temperature of rats with wind-cold superficies symptoms;TX could stimulate the central system,improve the respiratory system,enhance the urinary-sweat system,and has no obvious effect on the circulatory system and digestive system.The effects of TX-MH on the respiratory system and the central system is obviously weakened,and the circulatory system and the digestive system are basically not affected.In general,the effect of TX is better than that of TX-MH,which indicates that the removal of Ephedrae Herba,the ascending and floating medicine,weakens the effect of TX on"promoting cold"and"xuanfei relieving cough".Conclusion The Ephedrae Herba's ascending and floating medicinal properties play an important role in the efficacy of Tongxuan Lifei prescription's"promoting cold"and"xuanfei relieving cough".

Objective To explore the hippocampal(HC)microstructural changes in patients with unilateral temporal lobe epilepsy(TLE)by neurite orientation dispersion and density imaging(NODDI).Methods The NODDI indexes of the whole HC and HC subregions of temporal lobe epilepsy with hippocampal sclerosis(TLE-HS)patients,non-HS patients and healthy controls(control group)were calculated.The differences of NODDI indexes among and within the three groups were compared,and the correlation between the difference indexes and the clinical characteristics of the patients was analyzed.Results A total of 47 patients with TLE(27 cases of TLE-HS,20 cases of non-HS)and 22 cases of healthy controls were enrolled.In the TLE-HS group,the free-water isotropic vol-ume fraction(fiso)values of the HC and granular cell layer of dentate gyrus(GC-DG)subregions of the affected side were signifi-cantly higher than those of the contralateral side;the orientation dispersion index(ODI)values of the CA1 and CA4 subregions were significantly lower than those of the contralateral side;and the neurite density index(NDI)values of the HC,CA1,CA2-3,CA4 and GC-DG subregions of the affected side decreased significantly.There was no significant difference between the affected side and the contralateral side in the non-HS group.The fiso values of the HC and GC-DG subregions of the affected side in the TLE-HS group were significantly higher than those in the control group,the ODI values of the HC CA1 subregions of the affected side in the TLE-HS group were significantly lower than those in the control group and the non-HS group,the NDI values of the HC and subiculum(Sub),CA1,CA4 and GC-DG subregions of the affected side in the TLE-HS group were significantly lower than those in the con-trol group,and the NDI values of the HC and CA1,CA4 and GC-DG subregions of the affected side in the non-HS group were significantly lower than those in the control group.In the TLE-HS group,the NDI value of the HC CA4 subregion of the affected side was negatively correlated with the disease course,but there was no clear correlation between other subregion variables and disease course,onset frequency and duration of single onset.Conclusion NODDI technique has the ability to detect the microstructural changes of HC in patients with TLE,among which NDI is more likely to highlight neuronal damage and fiber reorganization in patients with TLE.

Objective:To construct and test the reliability and validity of an assessment scale for self-management of patients with dry eye, so as to help patients establish dry eye related health behaviors.Methods:Based on the knowledge attitude and practice theory, the initial scale was constructed on the basis of literature review and qualitative interview, and revised through Delphi expert consultation and expert argumentation. After the preliminary investigation, 211 dry eye patients treated in the dry eye nursing outpatient department of Beijing Tongren Hospital from August 2023 to January 2024 were selected by convenience sampling method for questionnaire investigation to test the reliability and validity of the scale.Results:Among 211 dry eye patients, there were 58 males and 153 females, aged (39.31 ± 12.81) years old. The scale of self-management of patients with dry eye included 27 items in 3 dimensions: knowledge, attitude and behavior. The authority coefficient of the two rounds of expert consultation was 0.86, and the Kendall coordination index increased from 0.175 to 0.223 (both P < 0.01). The cumulative variance contribution rates of the three dimensions were 41.843%, 54.219% and 44.273%, respectively. The Cronbach α coefficient of the scale was 0.787, and the Spearman-Brown coefficient was 0.641. Conclusions:The scale of self-management of patients with dry eye has good reliability and validity and can be used in the assessment of dry eye patients to provide a reference basis for targeted guidance and intervention.

Objective:To elucidate the primary elements pertaining to the perception of relapse risk and to in-vestigate the characteristics and alterations of perception of the risk of recurrence in patients with schizophrenia.Methods:By using the method of phenomenological study,semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted among schizophrenic patients with first onset,first recurrence and multiple recurrences.Twenty-three 23 outpatient and inpatient cases that met the criteria of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders,Fifth Edition(DSM-5)were included,and all patients had PANSS scores below 60.The interview data were collated and analyzed according to Colaizzi analysis.Results:The perception of recurrence risk in patients with schizophrenia en-compassed 4 major themes and 11 sub-themes,namely susceptibility(limited overall understanding,transition from optimism to objectivity),detection of early warning symptoms(dynamic escalation,assistance from family mem-bers in identification),understanding risk factors(lack of understanding,the relationship between psychosocial fac-tors and relapse,dynamic understanding of medication-relapse relationship),and apprehension of the consequences of recurrence(care burden and financial constraints,impaired social functioning and maladjustment,impact on pub-lic safety,personal health risks).Conclusion:The content of risk perception of recurrence in patients with schizo-phrenia is relatively substantial.The overall level of risk perception of recurrence in patients with schizophrenia is low.

There are mutual neural projections between the ventral tegmental area(VTA)and the me-dial prefrontal cortex(mPFC),which form a circuit.Recent studies have shown that this circuit is vital in regu-lating arousal from sleep and general anesthesia.This paper introduces the anatomical structures of VTA and mPFC and the roles of various neurons and projection pathways in the regulation of arousal,aiming to provide new ideas for further research on the mechanism of arousal from sleep and general anesthesia.

Objective To explore the value of automatic segmentation technique combined with neurite dispersion and density imaging(NODDI)for displaying volume and microstructure changes of hippocampal subregion in patients with hippocampal sclerosis medial temporal lobe epilepsy(mTLE-HS).Methods MRI data of 33 patients with left mTLE-HS(mTLE-HS group)and 35 healthy adults(control group)were retrospectively analyzed.The hippocampal subregions were automatically segmented using FreeSurfer software,the volume of cornu Ammonis(CA)1,CA2-3,CA4,granulose cell-dentate gyrus(GC-DG)and subiculum were measured,then the NODDI parameters of each subregion were obtained through post-processing.The intra-and inter-groups hippocampal subregion volumes and NODDI parameters were compared,and the correlations of parameters being significantly different with the onset age and disease courses were analyzed.Results The volume of hippocampal subregions in mTLE-HS group were all lower than those in control group(all P＜0.05).In mTLE-HS group,the neurite density index(NDI)of left CA1 and CA4 subregions were both lower,while the free-water isotropic volume fraction(fiso)of the left CA1 subregion was higher than those of the right side(all P＜0.05).The orientation dispersion index(ODI)of left CA1,CA2-3 and CA4 subregions,as well as NDI of left CA1,CA4 and GC-DG subregions in mTLE-HS group were all lower than those in control group(all P＜0.05),while fiso of left CA1,GC-DG and subiculum subregions in mTLE-HS group were all higher than those in control group(all P＜0.05).The volume of left hippocampal subregions in patients with mTLE-HS were all moderately positively correlated with the onset age(r=0.540-0.667,all P＜0.001)but weakly negatively correlated with disease courses(r=-0.492--0.386,all P＜0.05).NDI of left CA4 and GC-DG subregions in patients with mTLE-HS were both weakly negatively correlated with disease courses(r=-0.418,-0.388,both P＜0.05).Conclusion Automatic segmentation technique combined with NODDI could be used to display the volume and microstructure changes of mTLE-HS.NDI might be a biomarker of mTLE-HS being sensitive to progressive neuronal damage.

Purpose To investigate the changes of cerebral cortex thickness in adult temporal lobe epilepsy(TLE)assessed by Freesurfer automatic segmentation technique.Materials and Methods Eighty-four TLE confirmed by clinical manifestations and electroencephalography from January 2021 to September 2023 in General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University were retrospectively collected,including 32 patients with MRI nonlesional TLE,30 patients with left hippocampal sclerosis,and 22 patients with right hippocampal sclerosis.Fifty volunteers were recruited as the control group.All the ascending axial T1WI three-dimensional magnetization pre-gradient echo scans were performed.Freesurfer software was used to segment the cerebral cortex of T1W images,the cortical thickness values of different types of TLE patients were analyzed and compared.Results Compared with the control group,the cortical thickness of 14 regions in MRI-negative TLE group decreased,mainly located in bilateral frontal lobe and right parietal lobe,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05);cortical thickness decreased in 34 regions in the left hippocampal sclerosis group,mainly located in the bilateral frontal,temporal and parietal lobes,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05);the cortical thickness of 27 regions in the right hippocampal sclerosis group decreased,mainly located in the bilateral frontal,parietal lobe and right temporal lobe,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The automatic segmentation technique can evaluate the thickness changes of different cortical regions in the brain of patients with different types of TLE,which is helpful to further understand the development of TLE and provide value for better treatment or preoperative evaluation.
