Objective To investigate the effect of trunk control on the biomechanical characteristics of lower limb movements during Asian squats(AS)and Western squats(WS)in young adults to provide empirical support for the application and promotion of deep squat training. Methods Twenty-four healthy young male collegiate students performed AS and WS with and without bar control, and their lower limb kinematic and kinetic characteristics were collected using an infrared light-point motion capture system and a three-dimensional(3D)dynamometer.The 3D angles of the lower limbs were obtained using Cortex-642.6.2 software, based on the calculation of Euler angles, and the 3D moments were obtained by applying the inverse dynamics method. The effects of trunk control and deep squatting posture on the lower limb kinematic characteristics were examined using a two-factor analysis of variance with a 2×2 repeated design. Results There was no significant interaction between trunk control and the deep squatting posture for either kinematic or kinetic parameters(P>0.05).The WS group had a large knee flexion angle, peak patellofemoral contact force, and ratio of peak hip and knee extension moments, and small ankle dorsiflexion and hip flexion angles(P<0.05).The deep squat with a bar had a large ankle dorsiflexion angle, peak patellofemoral contact force, and hip flexion angle as well as a small knee flexion angle and ratio of peak hip and knee extension moments(P<0.05).Conclusions WS is helpful for training hip extension muscle groups, whereas AS is helpful for training knee extension muscle strength. The peak patellofemoral joint contact force of the WS is significantly greater than that of the AS;therefore,it is recommended that patients with patellofemoral joint pain use the AS.A squat with a bar can compensate for the body's balance;thus, people with limited ankle dorsiflexion range of motion or anterior tibial muscle weakness may consider trunk control training, such as a deep squat with a bar. This may help improve lower limb stability during squats.

Objective:To analyze the clinical characteristics and differences of inpatients who have been diagnosed with both cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. The findings from this study will help medical professionals make informed decisions regarding diagnosis and treatment strategies for patients with coexisting cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Methods:This study included a total of 275 patients who were hospitalized in both the Neurology and Cardiology Departments of our hospital between January 2012 and December 2019.The study compared the treatment, hospitalization, and prognosis of the two departments using retrospective stratified analysis. Results:The majority of patients hospitalized in the Cardiology Department were diagnosed with circulatory system diseases(I00-I99), accounting for 92.0%(253 cases). In the Neurology Department, the main diagnoses were circulatory system diseases(I00-I99), nervous system diseases(G00-G99), symptoms and signs involving circulatory and respiratory systems, cognition, perception, emotional state and behavior(R00-R09, R40-R46), accounting for 69.8%(192 cases), 16.7%(46 cases)and 13.1%(36 cases), respectively. There was a significant difference in the distribution of diagnoses between the Cardiology and Neurology Departments( χ2=67.8, P<0.001). The Cardiology Department had a higher proportion of patients with 5 or more other diagnoses[153(55.6%) vs.59(21.5%)], while Neurology Department had a higher proportion of patients with 2-4 other diagnoses(64.0% vs.36.4%). When comparing the distribution of other diagnoses during hospitalization in the Cardiology Department, the proportion of patients with only one other diagnosis was higher in the first visit group of Neurology Department compared to those with two or more diagnoses, which was statistically significant( χ2=9.3, P=0.03). There was no statistical difference in hospitalization days between the two departments( χ2=2.2, P=0.14). Although there was a significant difference in patient outcomes, with a lower proportion of patients not recovering or dying in the Neurology Department( χ2=4.6, P=0.03), there was no significant difference in the interval between hospitalizations for the two groups(180 d, χ2=0.1, P=0.72; 90 d, χ2=1.8, P=0.18). Conclusions:The need for early prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with both cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases is still a pressing concern.Exploring a combined diagnosis and treatment model for multiple diseases may prove useful in overcoming the limitations of the current single disease diagnosis and treatment approach.

Asian Nursing Research 2020;14(3):137-143
Purpose:
Elder self-neglect is a global public health issue and should be taken seriously at large. Nurses, usually working directly with elderly patients, have a better understanding of what factors may causeelder self-neglect. In this qualitative study, we explored the influencing factors of elder self-neglect fromthe perception of nurses in the context of Chinese culture.
Methods:
Face-to-face, in-depth interviews were conducted from November 2018 to December 2018.Purposive sampling was used. Twenty one participants recruited from eight geriatric wards of a generalhospital located in Wuhan were interviewed. A content analysis of qualitative nature was performed toanalyze the data.
Results:
Our conceptual model illustrated the findings based on the three themes of the conflict betweenpersonal recognition and social judgment, the choice between current needs and individual beliefs, aswell as the compromise between insufficient abilities and limited resources.
Conclusion
Nurses together with family members and social workers can help older adults improvetheir awareness of self-neglect to bridge the gap with social judgment, learn to focus on their own needs,as well as seek as much support as possible. Nurses should also respect the autonomy and selfdeterminationof elder self-neglecters because self-neglect is related to older adults' values. Furthermore, larger studies are needed to quantitatively test and refine the model.

Chinese Journal of Modern Nursing 2017;23(26):3374-3378
Objective To understand the new standards for nursing grading, different level of care on the feelings of patients for nursing service,in order to improve the nursing service mode and accelerate hospitals to promote sustained and healthy development of the high quality nursing service and provide the beneficial reference. Methods Using stratified sampling,self-designed questionnaire was utilized to cross-sectional investigate the multi-dimensional situation of 286 patients in three class Ⅲ grade A hospitals in Guangdong province from June 2015 to October 2015. Results Different levels of care for patients with nursing services in six aspects of the feelings were different, and the ward management, interpersonal support and comprehensive feelings compared that the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05). Three level care patients in these three aspects of the feelings were poor, but special care of patients with different dimensions were better. Conclusions Three-level care patients has a relatively poor experience in nursing services,so it is recommended to enhance the concept of rehabilitation through ward management to interpersonal support,so as to meet their individual needs. Simultaneously,in order to implement the new nursing grading standards well, we can try to refine and quantify the classification of care and combined with the patient's feelings to determine the classification of care,so it more accurately reflect the actual situation of patients, and help improve the quality of care services.
