Objective:To elucidate the cytopathological characteristics, molecular subtypes, and clinical prognoses of metastatic breast car-cinoma with serosal effusions. Methods:Seventeen cases that included effusion cytology and clinical data were retrospectively analyzed. Two patients were diagnosed between April 2016 and September 2023 at the Suzhou Ninth Hospital Affiliated to Soochow University, and 15 patients were diagnosed at The First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University.Cytopathological characteristics, molecular subtypes, and prognoses were analyzed. Results:The cytopathological features of metastatic breast carcinoma in serosal effusions were as follows:1)In-vasive ductal carcinoma:one cell type was relatively densely arranged in nests or colored spheres, which displayed an elevated nuclear/cyto-plasmic ratio, irregular nuclear membrane, and cytoplasmic mucin vacuoles. The other cell type was tiled, single scattered, and varied in size and shape, with enlarged nuclei and elevated nuclear/cytoplasmic ratio.2)Invasive lobular carcinoma:cells were scattered and uniform in size and shape. The nuclei had a relatively regular shape, but displayed an elevated nuclear-to-cytoplasmic ratio.Among the 17 breast can-cer cases,6 had transitioned in molecular subtyping, including 1 case from Luminal A to triple-negative type,1 case from Luminal B to hu-man epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER-2)-overexpressing type, and 4 cases from Luminal B to triple-negative type. Conclusions:The cytopathological characteristics of serous effusion cells combined with immunocytochemical staining and fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH)suggest that it is important to determine the origin and molecular typing of tumor cells. This provides an important basis for precise clinical treatment and prognosis.

Objective To investigate the differences in blood pressure phenotypes, renal pathological changes, and related pathogenic pathways in genetically diverse hypertensive mice obtained from 13 strains. Methods The genotypes of Cckbr+/+,Cckbr+/-and Cckbr-/-were obtained by hybridization of 13 strains of genetically diverse mice with Cckbr-/-mice.Blood pressure was measured with a noninvasive blood pressure analysis system(BP-2000).The expression of CCKBR protein in mouse kidney tissue was detected by Western Blot, and the pathological changes in mouse kidney tissue were detected by hematoxylin-eosin(HE)staining and immunohistochemistry(IHC).The pathogenic pathways related to essential hypertension were screened by RNA sequencing. Results In three specific mouse strains(A/J,LOT,and FIM),the systolic blood pressure(SBP)was significantly different between the Cckbr-/-and Cckbr+/+groups.HE staining and IHC showed that hypertension caused a certain degree of renal injury in the mice.Gene Ontology(GO)and pathway enrichment analysis showed that differentially expressed genes were enriched in metabolic processes and circadian rhythm regulation. Conclusions Genetically diverse mice can effectively simulate the genetic background of the population and provide a new resource for studying the pathogenic genes related to essential hypertension.

Objective:To summarize the management experience of helicopter medical transport in patients with critical heart disease, so as to provide reference for transport of patients with critical heart disease under the background of major natural disasters. Methods:The clinical and transport data of 36 critically ill cardiac patients in Fuwai Central China Cardiovascular Hospital from 16:30 on July 21 to 19:30 on July 22, 2021 due to historically rare heavy rainstorms were collected. All 36 critically ill cardiac patients were transported by helicopter. The safe transportation was implemented under the measures of quickly forming a transport leadership and coordination group, clarifying responsibilities and division of labor, doing a good job in the pretreatment of the patient's condition, pipeline assessment and mechanical circulation support (MCS) equipment, simulating and practicing the transfer process, improving the safety of the transfer implementation process, and effectively handing over with the target hospital. The gender, age, disease type, MCS, transport and outcome of patients were collected.Results:Thirty-six patients with cardiac critical illness were from adult extracardiac intensive care unit (ICU), adult cardiac care unit (CCU), children's CCU, comprehensive ICU and department of neurology. There were 24 males and 12 females; age (50.93±20.86) years old. There were 12 patients using respirator, 7 patients needing MCS, 2 of whom needed both extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), and 7 patients with post-cardiac surgery. The total distance of transportation of 36 patients was 1 638.4 km, the transit time was 10.5 hours, one way flight time of helicopter was about 8 minutes, and the average transport time per patient was about 17.5 minutes. The vital signs of 36 patients during transport were basically stable, without complications, and all of them reached the target hospital safely. Conclusion:Under the seamless connection of the rapid establishment of the transfer leadership coordination group, assessment of the patient's condition and pretreatment, the simulation of the transfer process, and the effective handover with the receiving hospital, the use of helicopter for medical transport for critically ill heart patients is feasible and safe, which can buy valuable time for saving patients' lives and further treatment.

ObjectiveTo explore the sensory processing characteristics of preschool children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and to provide a theoretical basis for early screening and intervention training of ASD. MethodsA total of 215 preschool children with ASD and170 typically developed (TD) children were investigated with a basic situation questionnaire and sensory processing measure (SPM). The two groups were stratified according to age and gender, and the differences of scores in sensory domains were compared to analyze the sensory processing characteristics of preschool children with ASD. ResultsThe scores of social participation, vision, hearing, touch, taste and smell, body awareness, balance and motion, planning and ideas, and total sensory system in children with ASD were all higher than those in children with TD (all P<0.01). The highest degree of abnormality was found in hearing and the lowest degree in taste and smell in children with ASD. The results of Spearman correlation analysis showed that in the 4-year-old and 5-year-old children with ASD, the scores of vision (rs=-0.200, P= 0.033) and hearing (rs=-0.194, P=0.040) decreased with age. There was no correlation between the scores of other developmental quotients and age (all P>0.05). Boys and girls with ASD had higher scores in all developmental quotients than TD children (P<0.01). However, there was no significant gender difference in any developmental quotients of ASD children (all P>0.05). ConclusionSensory processing abnormalities are common in preschool children with ASD, which are different from those of TD children in multiple sensory domains. Sensory processing abnormalities may be used as an indicator for early screening of ASD, and it is necessary to conduct corresponding intervention training for sensory processing abnormalities in children with ASD.

Liver Research 2020;4(1):35-39
Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is a common chronic disease characterized by excessive fat accumulation in hepatocytes in the absence of alcohol consumption.Modern trends towards excessive calorie intake and sedentary life styles have increased the prevalence of NAFLD accompanied by obesity and type 2 diabetes. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying the initiation and progression of NAFLD are not clear.Zinc finger proteins(ZFPs)are a superfamily of metalloproteins that contain zinc finger motifs.ZFPs play diverse physiological roles in tissue homeostasis and also contribute to many pathological conditions, including metabolic, cardiovascular, and neurodegenerative diseases and various types of cancer. In this review,we highlight our current knowledge of several ZFPs that play critical roles in the progression of NAFLD,describe their mechanistic functional networks, and discuss the potential for ZFPs as therapeutic targets for NAFLD.
