Objective Integrating ideological and political education into university curricula is an effective approach for nurturing moral integrity and holistic education. This study aims to explore the effective incorporation of the “two bombs, one satellite” spirit into the ideological and political education of the Nuclear Electronics course, find an effective way to enhance student professional literacy and ideological and political awareness, and achieve collaborative educational objectives. Methods Using the Nuclear Electronics course as a case study and aligning with the educational positioning of the university and the major, objectives were established for knowledge acquisition, skill development, and ideological and political education. A case repository of ideological and political education tailored to the course was constructed by integrating ideological and political elements such as the “two bombs, one satellite” to reinforce foundational knowledge and expand into cutting-edge topics. An instructional paradigm that combines theory with practical application and integrates online and offline resources was adopted. To stimulate student engagement of learning, improve the quality of learning, and strengthen ideological and moral education, a comprehensive assessment framework was devised. Results The effectiveness of ideological and political education was evaluated by comparing the course performance between the experimental group (with curriculum ideology and politics reform) and the control group (without curriculum ideology and politics reform). The experimental group showed 20.5% and 31.3% improvements in short-answer questions and calculation problems, respectively. A comparison of survey questionnaire scores and final grades revealed a strong correlation between student awareness of curriculum ideology and politics and their academic performance. The study demonstrated that this approach increased student interest in learning, enhanced their recognition and pride in major national scientific achievements, and achieved an organic integration of knowledge impartation and value guidance. Conclusion This study confirms the effectiveness of integrating the “two bombs, one satellite” spirit into the ideological and political education of the Nuclear Electronics course. This approach provides new ideas and methods for ideological and political education in universities, achieves the goal of collaborative education, and is of great significance in improving the quality of talent cultivation in higher education.

Objective:To investigate the cosmetic effect of biplane fixed technique for double-eyelid plasty. Methods:From September 2019 to June 2021, 80 patients, including 6 males and 74 females, aged 18-45 years with an average age of 31 years, were treated with single eyelid cosmetic surgery at the Medical Aesthetics Department of Northern Jiangsu People′s Hospital Affiliated to Yangzhou University. All the cases were performed by the " biplane fixed technique", and the key point of the surgery was to fix the orbicularis labii muscle in biplane (hard fixation plus soft suspension). A questionnaire survey was conducted and preoperative and postoperative photos were collected for statistical analysis to evaluate postoperative outcomes. The patients were follow up for 6-12 months after surgery, and the incidence of postoperative complications were calculated. Results:The incisions of 80 patients all healed by first intention. 79 patients were satisfied, accounting for 98.75%. Physicians evaluated 78 cases as satisfactory, accounting for 97.50%. The Vancouver Scar Scale score was 2.31±1.80, and the Edema and Eczema Visual Simulation Scale score was 3.58±2.15. After surgery, there were no significant abnormalities when eyes opening or closing, and the shape of the double eyelid remained intact without shedding. The scar on the closed eye incision was mild and there was no obvious depression. Conclusions:The " biplane fixed technique" blepharoplasty can form a firm double eyelid line, which is not easy to fall off and has slight scars. The postoperative effect is stable and worthy of clinical application.

Objective:To observe the efficacy of cosmetic suturing techniques combined with topical recombinant human basic fibroblast growth factor (rh-bFGF) in repairing facial trauma. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 140 patients with facial trauma admitted to the Department of Burn and Plastic Surgery, Northern Jiangsu People's Hospital from January to December 2022. Patients were divided into two groups based on different treatment methods using a random number table method: treatment group (70 cases), including 38 males and 32 females aged 3 to 54 (23.1±8.2) years, received cosmetic suturing techniques combined with topical rh-bFGF for wound repair; control group (70 cases), including 36 males and 34 females aged 2 to 49 (22.3±7.5) years, only received cosmetic suturing techniques for wound repair. Patients were followed up 2 weeks post-surgery to evaluate wound healing quality. Patient satisfaction was assessed using the visual analogue scale (VAS). Six months post-surgery, scar conditions were evaluated using the Vancouver scar scale (VSS).Results:In the treatment group, 65 cases were directly sutured, and 5 cases were repaired with skin flaps, with a first-class healing rate of 100% (70/70). In the control group, 66 cases were directly sutured, and 4 cases were repaired with skin flaps, with a first-class healing rate of 91.4% (64/70). The first-class healing rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference ( P=0.037). Two weeks post-surgery, the VAS score for surgical satisfaction in the treatment group was (1.13±0.52) scores, which was lower than that in the control group (2.56±1.32) scores, with a statistically significant difference ( P<0.001). Six months post-surgery, the VSS score for the treatment group was (2.49±1.27) scores, which was lower than that in the control group (4.67±1.93) scores, with a statistically significant difference ( P<0.001). Conclusions:In repairing facial trauma, the combination of cosmetic suturing techniques and topical rh-bFGF can improve wound healing quality, reduce wound scarring, and enhance patient satisfaction with surgery.

Objective:To explore the risk factors for urethral stricture after transperineal anastomotic urethroplasty (TAU) by retrospectively analyzing patient data and to develop a nomogram to predict the risk of recurrence before the surgery. Methods:Clinical data of patients who underwent TAU because of post-traumatic urethral stricture from January 2016 to December 2017 in West China Hospital, Sichuan University were reviewd. A total of 78 patients were included in the retrospective analysis, with 13 of them having recurrence. The patients in the recurrence group had a median age of 49.8 and 76.9% (10/13) of them had membranous urethral stricture. The proximal urethra end was located above the superior margin of the pubic ramus (higher stricture site) in 53.8%(7/13)of patients in the recurrence group and the length of the stricture measured in the operation was (2.19±0.22) cm. In the non-recurrence group, the median age was (44.8±13.6) years old, 58.5% (38/65) of them had membranous urethral stricture, 21.5% (14/65) had higher stricture site, and the length of the stricture was (2.03±0.11) cm. Both univariate and multivariate logistics analyses were performed to evaluate the risk factors of recurrence of urethral stricture 5 years after surgery. The nomogram was built based on the multivariate logistics analysis. The Concordance Index (C-index), Receiver Operating Characteristic(ROC) curve and Calibration curve were used to evaluate the nomogram. Results:Univariate logistics analysis showed that higher stricture site, history of urethral dilation, smoking, diabetes and total serum protein may be associated with recurrence after surgery. Multivariate logistics analysis further confirmed that higher stricture site ( OR=34.64, 95% CI 3.71-754.53), history of urethral dilation( OR=13.15, 95% CI 1.27-210.00), smoking ( OR=13.75, 95% CI 2.15-166.05) and diabetes ( OR=64.98, 95% CI 3.80-1957.60) were independent risk factors for recurrent urethral stricture while higher total serum protein before surgery was related to lower recurrence risk ( OR=0.78, 95% CI 0.62-0.93). A nomogram was built based on the results. The C-index of the nomogram was 0.923(95% CI 0.908-0.938), the area under curve (AUC) was 0.923 (95% CI 0.855-0.991), and the Brier Score was 0.079. Conclusion:Higher stricture site, history of urethral dilation before surgery, smoking, diabetes and lower total serum protein before surgery are associated with higher recurrence TAU of post-traumatic urethral stricture patients. With the nomogram developed, prediction of the risk of recurrence could be achieved prior surgery.
