1.Analysis of risk factors for postoperative new-onset cardiac complications in patients with esophageal cancer and concomitant coronary heart disease

Objective To investigate the factors affecting the occurrence of new postoperative cardiac complications in patients undergoing esophageal cancer surgery with concomitant coronary heart disease. Methods Clinical data of patients who underwent esophageal cancer surgery with coronary heart disease at the Affiliated Huai'an No.1 People's Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from December 2019 to June 2023 were collected. Patients were divided into two groups based on whether they experienced postoperative cardiac complications. Using the occurrence of cardiac complications as the dependent variable, a multivariate logistic regression model was established to identify related influencing factors. Results A total of 223 patients were included, comprising 148 males and 75 females, with an average age of (71.78±6.31) years (range 53-88 years). Seventy-one (31.84%) patients experienced at least one new cardiac complication postoperatively, including 2 acute coronary syndrome, 13 heart failure, and 59 new-onset postoperative arrhythmias. Univariate analysis showed that age, systemic immune-inflammation index, pulmonary infection, need for invasive mechanical ventilation due to respiratory failure, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), acute delirium, pleural effusion requiring drainage, and acute renal failure were risk factors for postoperative new-onset cardiac complications (all P<0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis identified age, postoperative length of hospital stay, ARDS, and systemic immune-inflammation index as independent risk factors for new cardiac complications in esophageal cancer patients with coronary heart disease. Conclusion Strengthening perioperative management of esophageal cancer patients, ranging from preoperative evaluation to postoperative complication treatment, is crucial. Particular attention should be paid to age, ARDS, and other indicators to improve postoperative prognoses in patients with coronary heart disease complicated by esophageal cancer.
2.Factors influencing phytohemagglutinin response in gamma-interferon release assay

Objective:To investigate the factors influencing phytohemagglutinin (PHA) response in the detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection by gamma interferon release assay (IGRA). Methods:A retrospective case-control study was conducted on 360 hospitalized patients who received IGRA in West China Hospital of Sichuan University from January 2019 to December 2021. According to PHA response (IFN-γ level), they were divided into three groups: negative mitogen response group (IFN-γ<2 pg/ml), weak positive mitogen response group (IFN-γ: 2-100 pg/ml), and normal mitogen response group (IFN-γ>400 pg/ml).Results:Immune diseases were independently associated with negative (OR=0.34, 95%CI: 0.17-0.72, P=0.004) and weak positive mitogen responses (OR=0.29, 95%CI: 0.16-0.55, P<0.001). Infections caused by pathogens other than Mycobacterium tuberculosis was independently associated with negative mitogen response (OR=0.266, 95%CI: 0.09-0.83, P=0.023), while immunodeficiency was independently associated with weak positive mitogen response (OR=0.280, 95%CI: 0.12-0.63, P=0.002). Mitogen response was significantly correlated with the levels of albumin and hemoglobin in serum and the counts of neutrophils and lymphocytes ( P<0.001). Conclusions:Immune diseases and immunodeficiency can affect mitogen response. Therefore, clinicians should give attention to mitogen response in the interpretation of IGRA test results to prevent misdiagnosis and underdiagnosis. Besides, to a certain extent, mitogen response can reflect the infection status of hospitalized patients.
3.Construction and application of a pelvic floor muscle training program for patients with radical prostatectomy

Objective To construct a pelvic floor muscle training program for patients undergoing radical prostatectomy,and to provide a reference for clinical practice.Methods The evidence related to pelvic floor muscle training in patients undergoing radical prostatectomy was systematically searched and the quality was evaluated.The draft of pelvic floor muscle training program for patients undergoing radical prostatectomy was constructed based on the KAP theory and it was demonstrated and revised by expert meetings.From February to March 2023,Delphi method was used to determine the final scheme.37 patients were selected as the control group and 38 patients as the experimental group to implement the scheme and evaluate the application effect.Results 2 rounds of Delphi consultations were conducted among 17 experts,and the recovery rate of the questionnaire was 100%.The expert authority coefficient was 0.89.The Kendall harmony coefficients of the importance and feasibility of the second round of consultation were 0.270 and 0.209(P<0.001).The coefficient of variation of importance and feasibility of items were 0~0.18 and 0~0.20.The final program included 3 first-level items,8 second-level items and 29 third-level items.1 month after surgery,there was no significant difference in urinary incontinence score(P=0.242)and there was significant difference in pelvic floor muscle training compliance(P=0.011)between 2 groups.Conclusion The program was applied preliminary in clinical practice and it was confirmed with scientific and practical meaning,so it can provide a reference for clinical nursing.
4.Inhibition of Fatty Acid β-Oxidation by Fatty Acid Binding Protein 4 Induces Ferroptosis in HK2 Cells Under High Glucose Conditions

Background:
Ferroptosis, which is caused by an iron-dependent accumulation of lipid hydroperoxides, is a type of cell death linked to diabetic kidney disease (DKD). Previous research has shown that fatty acid binding protein 4 (FABP4) is involved in the regulation of ferroptosis in diabetic retinopathy. The present study was constructed to explore the role of FABP4 in the regulation of ferroptosis in DKD.
Methods:
We first detected the expression of FABP4 and proteins related to ferroptosis in renal biopsies of patients with DKD. Then, we used a FABP4 inhibitor and small interfering RNA to investigate the role of FABP4 in ferroptosis induced by high glucose in human renal proximal tubular epithelial (HG-HK2) cells.
Results:
In kidney biopsies of DKD patients, the expression of FABP4 was elevated, whereas carnitine palmitoyltransferase-1A (CP-T1A), glutathione peroxidase 4, ferritin heavy chain, and ferritin light chain showed reduced expression. In HG-HK2 cells, the induction of ferroptosis was accompanied by an increase in FABP4. Inhibition of FABP4 in HG-HK2 cells changed the redox state, sup-pressing the production of reactive oxygen species, ferrous iron (Fe2+), and malondialdehyde, increasing superoxide dismutase, and reversing ferroptosis-associated mitochondrial damage. The inhibition of FABP4 also increased the expression of CPT1A, reversed lipid deposition, and restored impaired fatty acid β-oxidation. In addition, the inhibition of CPT1A could induce ferroptosis in HK2 cells.
Conclusion
Our results suggest that FABP4 mediates ferroptosis in HG-HK2 cells by inhibiting fatty acid β-oxidation.

Objective:To study the distribution and antibiotics resistance of the main pathogens of neonatal purulent meningitis in different regions of China.Methods:A retrospective descriptive clinical epidemiological study was conducted in children with neonatal purulent meningitis which admitted to 18 tertiary hospitals in different regions of China between January 2015 to December 2019. The test results of blood and cerebrospinal fluid, and drug sensitivity test results of the main pathogens were collected. The distributions of pathogenic bacteria in children with neonatal purulent meningitis in preterm and term infants, early and late onset infants, in Zhejiang Province and other regions outside Zhejiang Province, and in Wenzhou region and other regions of Zhejiang Province were analyzed. The chi-square test was used for statistical analysis.Results:A total of 210 neonatal purulent meningitis cases were collected. The common pathogens were Escherichia coli ( E. coli)(41.4%(87/210)) and Streptococcus agalactiae ( S. agalactiae)(27.1%(57/210)). The proportion of Gram-negative bacteria in preterm infants (77.6%(45/58)) with neonatal purulent meningitis was higher than that in term infants (47.4%(72/152)), and the difference was statistically significant ( χ2=15.54, P=0.001). There were no significant differences in the constituent ratios of E. coli (36.5%(31/85) vs 44.8%(56/125)) and S. agalactiae (24.7%(21/85) vs 28.8%(36/125)) between early onset and late onset cases (both P>0.05). The most common pathogen was E. coli in different regions, with 46.7%(64/137) in Zhejiang Province and 31.5%(23/73) in other regions outside Zhejiang Province. In Zhejiang Province, S. agalactiae was detected in 49 out of 137 cases (35.8%), which was significantly higher than other regions outside Zhejiang Province (11.0%(8/73)). The proportions of Klebsiella pneumoniae, and coagulase-negative Staphylococcus in other regions outside Zhejiang Province (17.8%(13/73) and 16.4%(12/73)) were both higher than those in Zhejiang Province (2.9%(4/137) and 5.1%(7/137)). The differences were all statistically significant ( χ2=14.82, 12.26 and 7.43, respectively, all P<0.05). The proportion of Gram-positive bacteria in Wenzhou City (60.8%(31/51)) was higher than that in other regions in Zhejiang Province (38.4%(33/86)), and the difference was statistically significant ( χ2=6.46, P=0.011). E. coli was sensitive to meropenem (0/45), and 74.4%(32/43) of them were resistant to ampicillin. E. coli had different degrees of resistance to other common cephalosporins, among which, cefotaxime had the highest resistance rate of 41.8%(23/55), followed by ceftriaxone (32.4%(23/71)). S. agalactiae was sensitive to penicillin, vancomycin and linezolid. Conclusions:The composition ratios of pathogenic bacteria of neonatal purulent meningitis are different in different regions of China. The most common pathogen is E. coli, which is sensitive to meropenem, while it has different degrees of resistance to other common cephalosporins, especially to cefotaxime.
6.Curriculum content and approaches for integrating health education into physical education in college settings

Abstract
The integration of health education into physical education in colleges is an important carrier to achieve the goal of school health education, and an inevitable requirement for improving health literacy of college students. Exploration and construction of one curriculum content system integrating health knowledge and sports skills, mental health and sports spirit, basic theory of physiology, sports injury and disease prevention. The integration of health education into physical education includes curriculum and material design, classroom based teaching process, as well as teaching assessment inside and outside the classroom, developing a multi faceted, multi level and multi angle optimized implementation approach, aiming to explore the joint connection of health education and physical education, the implementation of Lide Shuren can better achieve the cultivation of students health awareness and healthy lifestyle, and lay a solid foundation for lifelong health.
7.Physical exercises and associated factors among college students during COVID-19 pandemic

Objective:
To understand physical exercises and associated factors among college students COVID-19 pandemic, and to provide a reference for promoting physical exercise of college students at home.
Methods:
A convenient questionnaire survey was used to investigate the physical exercise and associated factors of 1 132 college students in 6 colleges in Beijing.
Results:
A total of 1 033(91.25%) college students participated in physical exercise; with an average of(3.33±1.99)times per week, the length of each exercise was (39.24±13.23)min, and the subjective sense of exercise intensity was(2.61±0.99). Differences in exercise frequency, duration and intensity differed significantly by gender(P<0.05). Differences in exercise frequency were significantly by grades and places of residence(P<0.05). The exercise items of college students differed by genders and places of residence were statistically significant(P<0.05). Students with different exercise motivations showed significant differences in exercise behaviors(P<0.05). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that grade, lack of interest in exercise, limited venues, incomplete equipment, family sports atmosphere, and school requirements were associated with participation in physical exercise behavior at home(P<0.05).
Conclusion
The status of home physical exercise for college students needs to be improved. It is necessary to combine college students exercise motivation and characteristics of exercise items based on school physical education,and to establish a family-school-society network interactive platform to form an effective linkage mechanism to promote college students active participation in physical exercise at home.
8.The effects of ethylbenzene on HEI-OC1 cells proliferation and oxidative stress level

Objective:To study the changes of proliferation and oxidation indexes of Cochlear hair cell line (HEI-OC1 cells) exposed to ethylbenzene.Methods:From July to December 2019, 11 groups with ethylbenzene concentrations of 0, 30, 60, 90, 300, 600, 900 μmol/L and 3, 6, 9, 10 mmol/L, were used to determine the proliferation activity of HEI-OC1 cells exposed to ethylbenzene for 24 hours, and the cells were treated with 0, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 mmol/L ethylbenzene for 24 hours, then the 50% inhibitory concentration of ethylbenzene was calculated. After HEI-OC1 cells were exposed to 0, 6, 9 and 12 mmol/L ethylbenzene for 24 hours, the malondialdehyde (MDA) content, superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activities were measured.Results:Compared with 0 mmol/L concentration group, the survival rate of HEI-OC1 cells at 6, 9, 12 mmol/L concentration was significantly decreased ( P<0.01) . The 50% inhibitory concentration of ethylbenzene on HEI-OC1 cells was 12.86 mmol/L ( R2=99.05) . There were significant differences in SOD and GSH-Px activity in HEI-OC1 cells treated with ethylbenzene at different concentrations (0, 6, 9, 12 mmol/L) for 24 hours ( F=65.11, 6.48, 22.85, P<0.05) . Compared with 0 mmol/L concentration group, the MDA content of HEI-OC1 cells was significantly increased in 9 and 12 mmol/L concentration groups, the SOD activity was significantly decreased in 12 mmol/L concentration group, and the GSH-Px activity was significantly decreased in 6 and 12 mmol/L concentration groups. Conclusion:Ethylbenzene can inhibit the proliferation of HEI-OC1 cells and cause oxidative damage.

10.Application of transitional nursing with multidisciplinary cooperative model in management of postoperative pain in patients with hemorrhoids

Objective:To explore effects of transitional nursing with multidisciplinary cooperative model in management of postoperative pain in patients with hemorrhoids.Methods:By the convenient sampling method, a total of 80 patients who underwent hemorrhoids surgery in Department of Anorectal Surgery in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University from January 2019 to January 2020 were selected. They were randomly divided into the observation group (40 cases) and the control group (40 cases) . The observation group adopted transitional nursing with multidisciplinary cooperative model, while the control group adopted routine nursing. The Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) score of pain, edema regression time, wound healing time and nursing satisfaction of two groups were compared before and after the intervention.Results:After 7 days of intervention, the NRS score of pain in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (t=2.106, P=0.038) . After 1 month of intervention, the NRS score of pain in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant ( t=9.159, P<0.01) . The time of edema regression and wound healing after intervention in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( t=8.754, 4.111; P<0.01) . The total satisfaction degree of patients in the observation group was higher than that of the control group after intervention, and the difference was statistically significant ( χ2=7.314, P<0.01) . Conclusions:Transitional nursing with multidisciplinary cooperative model can reduce pain of patients after hemorrhoids surgery, promote time of edema regression and wound healing and improve nursing satisfaction of the patients.
