Objective: To explore the effects of personality and sleep quality with psychological distress of junior and senior high school stduents, so as to provide a reference basis for precise interventions of junior and senior high school students mental health. Methods: In October 2023, a convenience sampling method was used to select 9 034 students aged 12-17 from Shiyan City as the study subjects. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K10) were used to collect information on sleep quality and psychological distress of junior and senior high school stduents. Between group comparison was conducted by using t-test and Chi-square test. Generalized linear models were employed to analyze the interaction and joint effects of personality and sleep quality on psychological distress. Results: The generalized linear model analysis showed that the interaction between personality and sleep quality on psychological distress was statistically significant of junior and senior high school students(effect size=0.80, P <0.01). The general linear model analysis indicated that, after adjusting for variables such as age, gender, screen time, and daily sitting time with the extroverted and good sleep quality group as the reference, the introverted and poor sleep quality group had the largest mean difference in psychological distress scores (difference=0.51, P <0.05). When stratified by sleep quality, psychological distress scores were higher in the introverted and neutral personality groups with both poor and good sleep quality compared to the extroverted group (poor sleep quality: introverted difference=3.71, neutral difference=1.14; good sleep quality: introverted difference=2.23, neutral difference=0.57, all P < 0.05). When stratified by personality, psychological distress scores were higher in the poor sleep quality groups for introverted, neutral, and extroverted individuals compared to their good sleep quality counterparts (differences=8.66, 7.83, 7.34, all P < 0.05 ). Conclusions Personality and sleep quality have interactive and joint effects on psychological distress of junior and senior high school stduents. Personalized psychological interventions should be developed based on personality and sleep quality.

Objective:To analyze the existing problems in maternal and child health services in Shanghai′s communities, so as to provide references for the continuous improvement and enhancement of maternal and child health work in community.Methods:Retrieve relevant literature on community maternal and child health services in Shanghai from databases such as CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, Chinese biomedical literature database and PubMed for text analysis, with a search period from 2009 to 2023. From August 2022 to May 2023, a purposive sampling method was used to select community health service centers in Shanghai for participatory observation. Interviews were conducted with maternal and child health service providers in community, management personnel at all levels, and obstetric experts from tertiary hospitals participating in the construction of medical alliances to understand the problems that exist in the process of providing maternal and child health services in community service centers. Based on text analysis, participatory observation, and interview results, a structure-process-outcome theory model was used to sort out a list of problems of maternal and child health services in Shanghai′s community. An electronic questionnaire was created based on the list of questions, and maternal and child health service personnel in each jurisdiction were invited to rate the existing problems from three aspects: importance, severity, and solvability. The key issues was determined based on the total score of each problem.Results:A list of 24 issues related to maternal and child health services in Shanghai′s community has been formed, with the structural dimension including team building and hardware facilities, the process dimension including mechanism construction, implementation process, and institutional coordination, and the result dimension only including system result category. According to the survey results, the three key questions with a total score greater than 7 were identified as the need for improvement in the maternal and child health knowledge and skills of service personnel; Insufficient staffing of service personnel, lack of dedicated personnel and specialized talents; The health information platform was not well-established, and institutions could not fully and timely share diagnosis and treatment data.Conclusions:This study has identified a problem list for maternal and child health care services in Shanghai′s communities, as well as key issues that urgently need to be addressed, which can provide reference for improving the quality of maternal and child health care services in Shanghai′s communities.

[ ABSTRACT] AIM:To investigate the effect of phycocyanin on the apoptosis of human laryngeal cancer HEP-2 cells and to explore the inhibitory mechanism of phycocyanin to tumor.METHODS:Highly purified phycocyanin was ex-tracted from spirulina.The effects of phycocyanin at different concentrations on the growth of human laryngeal cancer HEP-2 cells were detected by MTT assay.In addition, the cell structures were observed under electron microscope.The cell ap-optosis was analyzed by flow cytometry.The production of reactive oxygen species ( ROS) was measured by flow cytometry. Enzymatic activities of caspase-3,-8 and-9 were measured by chemical colorimatry.The expression of Bax, Bcl-2, Fas, P53, caspase-3 and caspase-9 at mRNA and protein levels was determined by RT-PCR and Western blot.RESULTS:MTT test confirmed that phycocyanin inhibited the cell activity of HEP-2 cells with time and dose dependent manners.The result of electron microscope observation and flow cytometry indicated that phycocyanin induced the apoptosis of HEP-2 cells.The intracellular content of ROS was increased.The activities of caspase-3, -8 and -9 were increased.RT-PCR showed that the mRNA expression of Bax, Fas, P53, caspase-3, caspase-9 was increased and Bcl-2 was decreased.The results of Western blot were consistent with the results of RT-PCR.CONCLUSION:Phycocyanin might induce apoptosis of HEP-2 cells by down-regulating Bcl-2, up-regulating Bax, Fas and P53, and the transduction of apoptotic signals in the human laryngeal cancer cells.

Objective To find out current distribution of Oncomelania snails and Schistosoma infection in snails in Zhejiang Province, so as to improve the project of schistosomiasis control. Methods Investigation spots were selected by stratified cluster sampling method, 100 villages of 34 counties were selected from 7 106 villages of 55 counties as survey spots. Synchronously systematic and environmental samplings were used for the survey. Snails were dissected to determine the infection status and spots with sham snails were set to assess the quality of the survey. Results The result showed that snails were found in 223 strips, 1 572 frames and 73 300 m 2 area in 32 villages of 21 counties. Snails were found in an area covering 72 640 m 2 in 29 villages of 18 counties in hilly region, which accounted for 99.1% of total snail habitats. AIM To establish a new, simple, stable and classical experimental model of acute edematous pancreatitis. METHODS Male mice were injected intraperitoneally 2?200 mg?(100 g) -1 body weight of L-arginine in an 1 h interval, as a 20% solution in 0.15 mol?L -1 NaCl. Control mice received the same quantity of 0.15 mol?L -1 NaCl. The mice were killed at 6, 12, 24, 48, 72 h following L-arginine administration. The serum amylase level, wet/dry weight ratio of the pancreas, histologic were assessed. RESULTS The serum level of amylase was significantly elevated at 6 h,reached the peak level at 24 h, normalized at 72 h. Histologic examination revealed interstitial edema and inflammatory cell infiltration reached the peak level at 24 h and decreased at 48,72 h. The wet/dry weight ratio of the pancreas changed in accordance with the interstitial edema. CONCLUSIONS The present study has demonstrated that the administration of excessive doses of arginine induces a new, noninvasive experimental model of acute edematous pancreatitis.
