ObjectiveTo observe the recovery of proprioception of the affected ankle over time after lateral ankle sprain accepting routine rehabilitation. MethodsFrom June, 2020 to June, 2022, 18 patients with lateral ankle sprain in Kunshan Rehabilitation Hospital underwent routine rehabilitation for twelve weeks. They were measured active and passive position sense of bilateral ankles using an isokinetic dynamometer before treatment, and four, eight and twelve weeks after treatment, respectively. ResultsThe active presentation difference of affected ankle reduced after treatment (F = 22.533, P < 0.001), but it was more than that of the healthy ankle at the same time (t > 4.419, P < 0.001). No significant improvement was found in passive presentation difference of affected ankle after treatment (F = 1.175, P > 0.05), and it was not significantly different from those of the healthy ankle at the same time (|t| < 0.646, P > 0.05). ConclusionProprioception of affected ankle has been impaired after lateral ankle sprain, and it can be recovered after rehabilitation, but cannot achieve the healthy level even after three months of training. Passive position sense as an index of proprioception needs more researches.

Objective:The incidence of breast cancer in Chinese women continues to rise. The large breast cancer cohort studies in China are relatively scarce. There are many bottlenecks in the construction of large clinical cohort for breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, and prognoses, such as inconsistent standards, high rates of lost follow-up, repeated construction, and inability to share. To better solving the difficulties and problems faced by large-scale clinical cohort research in China, this project will cooperate with several tertiary A hospitals to establish a breast cancer cohort in Chinese women. It also provides a data platform and technical support for breast cancer multi-center clinical cohort research. Methods:Based on the evidence-based medicine and expert opinion and consensus, we established a breast cancer cohort standardized indicator set-recording baseline information, diagnosis and treatment-related information of the enrolled patients, and collecting biological specimens. According to the technical specification of long-term follow-up for the endpoint, data management, and data security and in the large population-based cohort study, a standardized follow-up system for the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of breast cancer prospective cohorts is formed. Results:Based on standardized data sets and the computer discipline’s advantage from the University of Science and Technology Beijing, we integrate the new information technology methods, including dynamic information collection terminals and social networks. Thus, the quality of control programs on compliance and intelligence data was improved, and a Chinese women breast cancer cohort database was developed. By February 2020, 12 147 patients were included in the clinical cohort database. Biological specimens’resources in cohort construction were collected and cooperated with Shandong University to research the multi-center quality control system and shared evaluation system of biobanks. Building an open and shared biobank network and forming a full chain of breast cancer research platform. Conclusion:With the implementation of the "13 th Five-Year Plan" precision medicine research, this study provides a research foundation for precision diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer and provides data support for the country to formulate relevant medical policies.

Chinese Journal of Surgery 2019;57(2):88-91
In recent years, with the improvement of screening and early diagnosis, the overall prognosis of breast cancer patients has been greatly improved in China. Breast reconstruction is an option to improve cosmetic outcomes and quality of life for the patients received mastectomy, this procedure has attracted a lot of attention. The breast reconstruction surgery is recommended by the 2018 NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology for Breast Cancer in patients with appropriate indications. Despite the high proportion of breast reconstruction after mastectomy in western countries, Chinese breast surgeon should objectively understand the differences in breast structure and cultural backgrounds between Chinese and foreign women, and conduct rigorous clinical practice on the basis of calm thinking. In particular, it should be clearly recognized that we have more local advanced and high-risk cases in newly diagnosed breast cancer patients. Making efforts to improve the overall survival for patients with breast cancer must be the top priority for our surgeon. Breast reconstruction for all patients without identifying the distinction of personal characters and indications should be avoided, and the pursuing of high proportion of clinical data with no consideration of the realities of clinical practice in China should also be avoided. The indication of breast reconstruction for breast cancer patients received mastectomy must be strictly determined by the surgeon.

Objective? To study the clinical observation and nursing strategies for myelosuppression caused by induction chemotherapy for stage Ⅲ and stage Ⅳ laryngeal and hypopharyngeal cancers. Methods? The clinical data of 8 patients admitted during March 2015 to June 2017 who developed myelosuppression after induction chemotherapy using taxol + cisplatin + fluorouracil (TPF) were retrospectively analyzed for nursing strategies. Key nursing strategies included in the analysis were basic care, psychological care, condition observation and monitoring, medication care, infection prevention, infection management, prevention and treatment of anemia and bleeding, diet care and activity care. Results? After induction chemotherapy, 8 out of 15 (53.33%) stage Ⅲ and stage Ⅳ laryngeal and hypopharyngeal cancer patients developed myelosuppression, among which 3 patients showedⅢ-Ⅳ degree myelosuppression. Granulocyte colony stimulating factor (CSF) was administered by intramuscular injection to manage reduced granulocyte level in 2 cases. The granulocyte level in both patients went back to normal after 3-5 days. Platelet and recombinant human thrombopoietin were administered by intravenous injection to manage reduced platelet in 1 case. The platelet level of the patient started to increase after 3 days. All patients successfully recovered from myelosuppression before being discharged. Conclusions? For stageⅢ and stageⅣ laryngeal and hypopharyngeal cancer patients who developed myelosuppression after chemotherapy, enhanced basic care, psychological care and close observation of condition developments are essential to the patients' smooth recovery from myelosuppression.

Journal of Sun Yat-sen University(Medical Sciences) 2017;38(1):1-7
[Objective]The oxidative injury of retinal pigment epithelium(RPE)plays a key role in the pathogenesis of age-related macular degeneration(ARMD). This study is to investigate the effects of endoplasmic reticulum stress and the vital transcriptional factor X-box binding protein 1(XBP1)in acrolein-induced oxidative damage of RPE.[Methods]RPE cells were treated with acrolein (75μmol/L)for 2~24 h,expression of glucose regulated protein 78(GRP78)and XBP1 was determined by Western blot analysis. After being transfected with XBP1 siRNA with 24 h,the expression of XBP1 was knocked-down in RPE cells. Protein level of Nrf2 and SOD2 was then determined by Western blot analysis and intracellular Reactive Oxygen Species(ROS)generation was determined by DCF staining. Acrolein was added for 8 h after being transfected with XBP1 siRNA or control siRNA for 24 h. Apoptosis was detected by TUNEL assay before and after the treatment. Subretinal injection of Cre or GFP adenovirus was performed in XBP 1flox mice. After 1 week the mice were sacrificed. Total RNA was extracted from mice eyecups using TRIzol and real-time RT-PCR was performed to determine the two XBP1 down-stream genes,ERdj4 and p58IPK. Cryosectioning and immunofluorescent staining were performed to look at the expression of XBP1,Nrf2 and SOD2 in mice RPE.[Results]Protein level of GRP78 was significantly un-regulated after exposure to acrolein for 2 and 4 h. XBP1 was activated after acrolein treatment for 6 h. Knock-down of XBP1 by siRNA down-regu?lates anti-oxidant genes expression and increased ROS generation in RPE cells. Loss of XBP1 exacerbates acrolein-induced cell apoptosis. XBP1 was knocked-down in the RPE of XBP1flox mice after subretinal injection of Cre adenovirus. Decreased mRNA level of ERdj4 and p58IPK,and decreased Nrf2 and SOD2 expression were seen in the Cre-injected group.[Conclusions]Acrolein induces ER stress and activates XBP1 in RPE cells. Knock-down of XBP1 down-regulates anti-oxidant genes expression ,increases ROS generation, and exacerbates acrolein-induced cell apoptosis. XBP1 plays a role in the anti-oxidant defense in the RPE cells.
